We had a wonderful 2 nights here. Loved the firepit. We especially enjoyed Mary and Gina at the Bistro in the mornings. They made our trip so much fun. Great conversations with them both. Outstanding customer service from them both.
Positive: The staff was extremely friendly. I had a great experience with everyone I encountered. Our room was very clean and well stocked with towels. They are currently doing some upgrades around the hotel, and they were extremely polite and there was no noise! Negative: Personally, I did find the beds to be pretty unforgettable. They were extremely firm to be at such a highly rated hotel. They also do not have continental breakfast, and they are not currently serving anything that is not pre-packaged. Just plan for it!
Super nice hotel! The newly remodeled rooms are beautiful. Super friendly staff great comfortable beds. No free breakfast but thats ok. We brought snacks.
Nice motel. Well maintained. Disappointed that breakfast was not included. Rates twice as high as local competitors.
Arrived at hotel around 11 pm. Parking lot was very dark. I barely found the hotel.. Hotel had the bare minimum. No complimentary coffee. They charge you for coffee... That was a first. Would not stay there again...
Wonderful experience Matt at the bistro was very personable, great location
Stayed here about 3 weeks. I give the room 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, very clean and quiet with great beds. My first couple weeks there was a lady named Sam who was always the one at the desk at 6am when I was leaving for work. Cant say enough about this lady and her shining personality...always a smile with a good morning wishing everyone a good day. She always had fresh coffee and plenty of cups stocked. I wound up moving because of the rude worthless staff after she switched shifts. Theres a guy that works most midnights now and most mornings the coffee is left over from day before, your lucky if there is 2 cups out. He wont even speak if spoken to. The other ones arent much better now in the morning. Evening shift is great always friendly with a smile. Good place to stay if you avoid going past the front desk.
Nothing was open, bar, pool, restaurant etc AC did not work ( called front desk for over 20 minutes to tell them they never answered) ... room was tiny the fridge was even smaller than anything Ive ever seen ... very disappointed for this being a marriott hotel chain ....expected way better . I checked out as fast as I checked in and booked somewhere else! You would think all the extra money you pay for this hotel it would he nicer!!!
The 1st room I was assigned to television was in and out scrambling. The air conditioner was inoperable. I was switched to another room this morning, and there are—nats flying around this room everywhere. The toilet, sink. The shower has signs of mold. I was flying around in the room. I’m tired of complaining.! Sam was great to assist yesterday. I don’t blame the staff. The pool and the gym are closed due to flood and renovation. This stay as a Bonvoy member put a bad taste in my mouth for the Marriot brand. For the price, it was a waste of money. They don’t even have complimentary breakfast! They should offer it due to the pool and gym is closed
Kayla, at the front desk was super helpful as we were making last minute arrangments and she was able to get us exactly what we needed. I would recommend this hotel anytime to everyone.
Marriott is our favorite chain of hotels, due to their consistent level of quality. However, this location dropped the ball on a couple of small things: 1. Our room wasnt ready at the designated check-in time of 3:00 PM and we didnt arrive until 4:00 PM and still had to wait a few minutes; 2. The coffee containers in the lobby area were pretty much empty; 3. The ice machine on our floor wasnt producing ice; 4. The light on my side of the bed was apparently blown; & 5. My wife pointed out a noticable cob web up in the corner of the ceiling. Oh, and the in-door pool wasnt open!
Pool closed, Bistro limited to mornings only no one there to get a cup of coffee. The website was not in the least informative about the hotel limitations. The hotel appeared clean but the next morning picking up the pillow off the floor I found a pair of men’s underwear, since it was apparent the room was not vacuumed I have to be suspicious if they REALLY cleaned.
We stayed at the Rock Hill Marriott for a sports tournament, and I am extremely disappointed. Not only with the hotel, but the lack of response from the general manager. The Hotel. The hotel room had1. mold on the bathroom ceiling2. part of the ceiling was torn and falling down3. there were roaches in the room and in the hallway,4. the AC didnt work properly,5. the phone didnt work at all6. the pool was closed with no notice7. the restaurant was closed with no notice8. the TV wasnt functioning properly. The Manager:I called the front desk Friday at check in and was told the GM was not in but was coming in Saturday and would address everything. I called again Saturday and was then told the GM would not be in until Monday, but she was given my name and number and would call me Monday, because my satisfaction was extremely important. I called Tuesday and had to leave a message for the GM, who as of today has yet to call me back.I also just checked my statement and I was over charged on my credit card. I am not one for leaving a negative review, but I have given them every attempt. I should not have to pay a penny for this room. Hopefully someone will reach out to me to resolve this matter asap!!
Worst experience for a Courtyard. Usually my go to hotel. Broken phone in the room, john didnt flush correctly, Wifi not accessible, no bistro, picked over items for food and drink choices in the marketplace for purchase. With so many other hotels available in this area, go somewhere else. This Courtyard should be treated as a 2 star.Never again. Mariott Bonvoy should be ashamed at charging premium rates for this!
Positive: Bed were very comfortable and clean Negative: Had to leave
The quality for the rooms prices of the room been outrageous . poor housekeeping and roomserives with disrespectful customers service. It shows its $115 a night i stayed 5 and got change$1000.00 as in its a 5star hotel. I wondnt recommen. The Wingate is better and also cheaper with also free breakfast for $88.00 a nite with pool etc
Positive: The location to the highway and close to food areas. Parking was reasonable. Negative: We had to change rooms 2 different times to finally find a room that was safe and clean. The first room door wouldnt lock. the second room was infested with ants. The third room had some deficiencies but at this point we were tired of moving.
$150 for a basic room nothing special at all. Nothing open because of cOvID no pool, no breakfast, nothing. You think would adjust the price for that. Our AC didnt work had to get someone to fix that. Idk I expected it to be better for the price. Could have just stayed at a motel 6 or something for just a bed and bathroom.
Rooms were very clean, spacious. I would visit this again
Stayed here after a long drive to meet up with my husband and spend some time with him. We are in the process of moving and finally found a house and our move will happen in the next 20 days. Anyhow, I liked the efficient check in. It was very nice to be received with a smile, even with my husband in work clothes that were filthy as he is a sup in construction.Pros: The bed was comfortable and I appreciated the extra blanket, internet TV and the nice design and couch. Paul Mitchell bath products! The lobby is awesome.Cons: the sofa had an apparent stain and either needs cleaning or changed. I really would have loved a long bath instead of a shower. Also, when are hotels going to get liquid creamer for coffee instead of powder? I hate powder creamer. Also, in the morning, the maid wasnt wearing her mask. That was disappointing.
Great hotel. Clean and comfortable
Hotel was clean and nice. Arrived at 1130pm and the parking lot has NO lights. Unload car in total darkness!
As a smoker, this is the best hotel Ive stayed at for a while. Many of the rooms have balconies. Thats so much better than having to go all the way outside. The room itself way pretty average. The bed was comfortable, and it had a fridge and microwave.
Only gave it a 4 star because the pool and Bistro are closed and it doesnt say it on the website, very clean and updated rooms, update your website!
Positive: Nice room and amenities Negative: Toilet didnt flush, phone didnt work to call the desk to get the toilet fixed, no breakfast at all. I have been in other Courtyards and they at least had a go bag because of COVID. Front desk at checkout was less than courteous.
Positive: The location Negative: My bathroom was not clean no clean towels
I had a great experience here! It was a last minute trip and everyone made us so comfortable!!! Great trip and we will be back
Positive: The night shift person was excellent, apologetic and tried to help as much as possible Negative: Asked desk person where thermostat located and she had to get on her hands and knees to adjust wall unit under a cabinet.Took a shower and noticed mold on the ceiling that was bleeding through paint and then hairdryer switch was missing.Ice machine out.
The room was clean. Great cable channels. The bed was comfy. Staff was very friendly. The indoor pool was closed due to Covid. Masks were required for all guests and staff which was a plus. Only downfall: The parking lot was too dark even in the front of the hotel. It didnt feel safe for us or our car. I called the front desk the night of our stay to see if there were cameras in the parking lot areas, but they said there werent any. They said they had staff check on the hour outside. We checked out at 5:50AM and our car was ok. The Marriott should consider additional lighting for their parking lot for their guests and guest vehicles safety.
Roaches, AC didnt work, bathroom has mold, pool closed, restaurant closed, manager wont call back.
Everything Was Exceptional UNTIL Check Out which is at TWELVE. It IS our check out day, however BEFORE TEN A.M. the cleaning staff knocked VERY LIGHTLY and then proceeded to BARGE into our room!!! Having had given ourselves until 11:30a.m. to get up and out we were still SLEEPING!!! Also, I saw one of the cleaning staff cleaning rooms WITHOUT a mask. Knowing what I do about wearing a mask, its NOT the person Wearing the Mask that is protected its the people Around them that you ( the Mask Wearer) Protecting those around you and by default it is the Cleaning crew Protecting the GUESTS by WEARING THEIR MASKS WHILE CLEANING!!! EVERYTHING ELSE WAS SPECTACULAR in this BEAUTIFUL Hotel. I take video of the places we stay, when we arrive and when we leave to show friends and family as we continue on our adventure. Thank You for a otherwise FABULOUS stay.
Enjoyed Rockhill.
Positive: I loved the heated pool for my family. The location was great. Near many restaurants, skating rink and cherry park! Negative: These last two visits I had nothing to complain about.
Positive: Once again the staff went above and beyond. They were amazing. The room was very tastefully decorated!!!! Negative: Nothing except would be nice to have outside pool as well as insidev
No Pool, breakfast not included and no luggage carts.
Positive: It was quiet even though the interstate is next door. Close enough to stores, restaurants, etc Negative: Better staff. Didn’t tell us anything such as check out times, or about it the Bistro, etc
Hotel was nice but me and a few of my coworkers trucks got broken into and vandalized.
Positive: Near the grocery store and restaurant Negative: I didn’t have ocean view, felt like we were in the basement near the cleaning and laundry. The door wasn’t secure to my liking. The staff was okay:
My wife and I have stayed at the Rock Hill Courtyard several times, and the staff always make us feel welcome and at home. Melvin & Rosalind are always ready to help is when we check in or have questions at the front desk! Mary & Gina always take good care of us in the cafe and Starbucks! We just love the staff and the hotel! It’s our home base in Rock Hill! Can’t wait to see everyone again on our next visit!
We only needed a room for one night as we travelled from Florida to Ontario. The hotel was clean, Pool was great for the kids. We did not pre book a room so upon arrival the staff was very nice and accommodating with getting us a room. There is No complementary breakfast, or Coffee/Hot water station offered at this hotel. If you want breakfast you need to order it at the bistro. I would say thats the only thing I didnt like about our stay. There is a lot of restaurants, fast food, and other stores all around the hotel. Just a short 4 minute drive we were able to go to Starbucks, and Krispy Kreme.
Positive: Spacious clean easy to control the heat Negative: No tub.
Excellent stay! Excellent staff! Excellent times! Excellent everything! Did I mention this place was excellent? Seriously, if you are looking for an excellent time and an excellent staff and an excellent stay and having everything be excellent, just stay at the Courtyard!Be excellent to each other.
The pool needs to be heated it was freezing inside of the pool and the room. Everything else was good standard. Snack bar pricey. Customer service awesome. Price reasonable. For this to be one of the oldest Marriots in the area they did okay compared to the other ones we visit. I would stay at this one again.
The service at the front desk was terrible. The woman there was rude and not helpful. We tried to check in at 2:15pm and were told we absolutely could not check in until 3pm. She did not even check to see if any rooms were ready. And she was not nice about it. We came back at 3:45pm to check in and were told there were not any rooms ready at that time. They didnt exactly know when the rooms would be ready either. We finally were able to check in around 6:30pm. When we did the bathroom floor was not clean. We had a reservation for 4 people and there were only 2 towels in the room. We tried to call down to the front desk to get more towels and it rang and rang for 5 minutes with nobody answering. We went down to the front desk to get towels and were told they had none folded. The just handed us a pile of towels. I am a loyal Marriott member and always stay at Courtyard hotels and I have never had such a poor experience as I did in this one.
Positive: Room super clean & comfortable, elevator, hallways, lobby & parking lot clean. Staff professional & friendly.
Positive: The location was right by the freeway.... Negative: My key was having problems with opening up my room door for some reason...
Was in town for business. This hotel is right off the highway, but no noise from traffic. Great location convenient to shopping and great food. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Staff all around was excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Very nice hotel. Snacks were pricey. Pool was nice for kids. Very convenient to what we were visiting. Nice all around
It was horrible. I wouldnt recommend this facility. It is dirty and the room was not thoroughly cleaned. We had a double bed and one of the beds had a bloody comforter. It was hidden under the throw blanket at the bottom of the bed. We had a 4 night stay for a basketball tournament. They only credited us for one night stay even after acknowledging the comforter was left bloody and my husband slept in that bed. They gave us points that we didnt want because we would never stay in a Courtyard or Marriott facility again. My daughters basketball team spent $3000 on rooms and they refused to compensate us for a bloody comforter. We could have spent the weekend in the hospital if someone had touch that blood and they didnt care. Extremely poor customer service and I will make sure out team do not stay in this nasty facility when we return next year. Had to give a 1 star to move forward would have preferred to give them a negative 5 stars.
Positive: Staff was friendly. Negative: Upon entering the room; we were greeted with dirty towels in the shower. How could this happen with all that is going on now?
Nice place. Bar and restaurant/cafe relatively close to the lobby. Basically sits on the exit to I-77, so getting to the highway is easy.
This hotel was very welcoming from the time we drove up. The lobby was clean and welcoming as well. The associate doing the check in was very busy but she spoke to each and thanked us for our patience. The room was fabulous. I really enjoyed the way the room was set up and comfortable.
Clean room, comfortable beds, quiet, def recommended! Lots of restaurants and shopping close by.
The room was immaculate but the following is why I would not stay again: The odd decision to schedule leaf blowing of the entire parking lot at 8:30am. I was on the third floor and wearing ear plugs when I was awakened. The manager said there was nothing they could do and I was then subjected to over an hour of the lot being blown by six gas powered leaf blowers and an industrial leaf vacuum. Why not schedule this in the afternoon when guests are out and about, not sleeping! It was December, not summer when landscaping work needs to be done early. I cannot understand this choice and would not subject myself to such a rude and loud wakeup again.
Negative: Outside door was broken and had to be propped open to get back in. Maid knocked on out door at 9am on the day we were checking out. The cable box was hanging down by cables from the tv. Hotel just didnt seem to classify as a 3 to me.
Beautiful room very clean great staff
Stayed in room #137 for 2 nights. Sleepaway sofa was not cleaned and was filthy on checkin. I cleaned it myself so my son could go to sleep. There was food, tissue chips all over the back of cushion and clearly no one bothered to ensure it was cleaned. Shower door would not stay closed and rolled open each time you closed it. Bed bug catching device found at head of the bed on floor near my pillow. This is not want you want to see any time you are in a hotel and my thoughts were this room has a bug issue. Manager was sent email with all my concerns and after many emails and calls to Marriott, the hotel was forced to refund my first nights stay which should have been a no brainer. Unfortunately the hotel only wanted to refund 50% of the first nights stay even though pictures of the issues were emailed to the manager and the front desk staff member was told about the sleepa sofa being dirty the next day. It seems the policy of the hotel is to sell rooms which are not clean, have maintenance issues and have bug catching devices and you as the guest should pay for it. Had the hotel resolved this issue quickly with me and not drawn it out over a week to get a one night refund I would not be posting this online. But they did not realize an unclean room is an immediate failure and no guest should be expected to pay for it.
Excellent stay. The hotel is clean. Staff efficient. We had just left a resort where we experienced check in problems. So to arrive and have no issues at check was appreciated.
Great stay, very friendly helpful front desk, clean updated room with little balcony(loved balcony)(they actually have allergy free rooms-we didnt use one), exercise room, nice clean pool. Would recommend staying at this courtyard Marriott. And very close to Riverwalk, gorgeous trails on the Catawba .
I enjoyed my stay at the Rock Hill Soth Carolina Courtyard. The hotels was very nice modern and clean. The hotel staff were very friendly, accomodating and professional to the following requests: late check-in, late check-out and needing to have the room cleaning later in the day. The hotel had many families with children but you could not heard them unless you ran into them in the elevator or lobby. The design of my room showed a really efficient use of space. The room and bathroom felt spacious as a result.
The Courtyard Rock Hill was an excellent choice when looking for a hotel. The staff members are friendly and accommodating. After working all day and driving out of town, I was tired! When I PLOPPED on the bed, it just welcomed my tired body! After we rested, we got up to go eat and had so many choices of restaurants within walking distance, (across the street 0.01 miles). Just slept and felt well rested after a long day!
Loving at this hotel to host my guest stay for a wedding but the rooms are being remodeled and had a smell in the rooms. The lobby was super dark i dont know why. The hotel just needs to update. I wouldnt stay there. Just my opinion
The bathroom was dirty, hair on floor in the bath tub, the sink and on the toilet. Housekeeping should take pride in cleaning the rooms for the next guest. Overall the stay was comfortable and hotel staff were nice. I’ve stayed before and didn’t have this issue so I don’t know if this was just one of those days but I would recommend this hotel if you just need to get away and relax.
Friendliness of the front desk staff is the only thing that saved this from being one star. Only stay here if your life depends on it. Was under the impression this was recently renovated, it was pretty dirty in the room we stayed in. Common areas were ok. We stayed in the 2 room “suite”, air conditioning was controlled by some random combination of the thermostat and the wall unit(one for each room). The temperature would range from 65-74 all night. After not sleeping at all due to the temperature changes and on off ac cycles, the in room fire alarm went off at 4am for no reason... then again 20 min later. No maintenance guy there to look at it and no offer for remedy. Second night dialed in the ac(had to set the wall unit to 64 and the thermostat to something higher than that to get something in between those two). Fire alarm went off again at 12am didn’t even call the front desk. Just packed and left. Won’t be back.
Rooms were immaculate. Front Desk was friendly.
This Courtyard is special. The staff is wonderful. We were greeted with a warm smile and the great personality of the front desk clerk (Roslyn??). She was incredibly warm and welcoming. She is a wonderful asset to your staff. We also could not pass up the opportunity to praise Mary who made us breakfast in the cafe. She is a genuine and warm person providing excellent service and makes you feel like she is entertaining you in her home with pride and warmth that makes me smile thinking about it. I have to think that this is a very well managed location. When were back in the area, this location will be at the top of our list!
Location is convenient next to an Outback and nearby other restaurants. Rooms were decent. But the service was excellent with both day and night staff! Great folks. If I have any more business in Rock Hill, I will return.
Very clean, pleasant atmosphere.. Service was very good.. We ate at Starbucks inside the hotel. Food was good and customer service was excellent.. I do recommend this place..
Hotel is super easy to find just off the highway. The room is very nice, and very clean. Love the clean smell in the room . I really feel like there was a good value for the price paid. The lady who checked the into my room ridiculously helpful and had lots of southern hospitality. She went out of her way to make me feel incredibly welcome at this hotel. Very impressed - I would stay here again.
Great staff. Clean rooms
I turned on the tv and it was on an incorrect input, which was no big deal. I switched the input and the tv was a blur and was on volume 100 so it blared. I tried to troubleshoot by changing the channel and inputs again. This was unsuccessful so I called to the lobby. A woman told me that if I could wait, someone would be coming in that could help. 15 minutes or so a gentleman showed at my door. He too was unsuccessful and offered me breakfast or reward points and stated that he would have someone come in the morning to fix the issue. I declined the breakfast as we already had breakfast for business and declined the points as well because I did not have a rewards program being this is only the second time I have stayed with courtyard Marriott. I returned the following evening and the tv still had not be fixed. I came to the lobby to report the issue and the same gentleman from the night before was there. He told me he assumes someone checked and was unable to fix the tv due to it being a bigger tv. He then offered me a different room, but since it was 1130 at night and my last night I declined. I did create a rewards program and requested the offered points because this is not something that should be occurring in a hotel room that we paid for and being away on business, this time of year, sports playoffs are a nice release for me after a long day. If the room switch would have been offered the first night I would have gladly accepted and moved on. The gentleman then stated that had he new it was such a big issue he would have treated it different. I would think that a customer calling to the lobby to have a valid issue fixed would be concern enough to treat that matter with importance.
As I have previously stated, our stay here at the Court Yard Marriott of Rock Hill, SC was marvelous! It was the end of a perfect day while I was in town for my daughters wedding. The group rate was awesome, and while the other hotel refused to extend the group rate after the deadline, The Court Yard had no problem in extending that courtesy. Many amenities in which pleased my family and very convenient. We appreciate your southern hospitality and was more than what we hoped for and expected.Thank you
Elevator was broken.. made carry a newborn and 7 year old sorta difficult, the balconey sliding door is literally almost falling off it gets stuck when trying to close it, new years Eve was hectic nothing but constant arguing from the room next to us lots of profanity, slamming things kept waking the children. It just turned a great vacation bad!
Positive: Location Negative: Bath floor failing. Old
We were in Rock Hill for a family event. The hotel was very convenient to all of the places we needed to go. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The internet wireless was easy to use and fast. We liked having a refrigerator in our room for cold drinks. We also used the restaurant for breakfast and found the food to be good, with lots of healthy choices. The staff was professional, friendly and helpful. We were very pleased with our experience.
Mattress was great, Shower pressure OK, linens top notch. Refrigerator in the room is stupid; push a button to turn it on for 2 hours - thats my option? Went to lobby at 8am to grab something to eat and coffee. Found three people total were being served - after waiting for the barista for 15 minutes I left. Stupid stupid idea to expect one person to cater to a hotel of, what 80? this model of service isnt for me.
My husband and I were so pleased from the moment we walked through the doors. The appearance and decor are very neat and calming. The staff could not have made us feel more welcomed and valued. The bistro in the lobby was just a wonderful amenity. Starbucks coffee and lattes were a great way to start and end our days, and from one night to the next the barista remembered how we liked our coffees...incredible. The breakfast we ordered in the morning was deliciously made by the college trained chef and at a very reasonable price. Our room was strikingly clean with the most comfortable bed. There were plenty of accessible outlets for charging our devices and I love the feature of a sink outside the bath area yet not in the view of the main area of the room. The ease of internet access was a plus as well. My rating system on this hotel is dont hesitate to choose this one! Also it is near enough to the highway to be convenient and there are many restaurant choices.A+++++ Ill definitely choose this hotel again next time. So glad we found a place like this for our yearly trip to Rock Hill! The Laniers from New York
Just off I-77 behind Outback Steakhouse and near Starbucks and other great places to eat within walking distance. Traffic at this location can be very heavy at times. Friendly staff and great bartender for cocktails. I did miss having coffee in the lobby the next morning. Never figured out where the coffee station was.
We were highly disappointed with our stay. The heated indoor pool was freezing cold water. There was no clean towels in the pool area and there was dirty towels everywhere. The people at the front desk just standing around talking to each other. Only giving 2 stars because the bed is comfortable and the room is nice. Will not return.
Extremely clean and great lobby area. Multiple TVs in the lobby so you can bounce around a couple programs at once. The bistro serves great food, hard to justify leaving for food once you try a few times there. Staff is very pleasant. Great location too!
I stayed here after going to Carowinds with a friend. The check in clerk was friendly, the room was nice. Within a stones throw of the freeway, it was very quiet inside! Very nice!
The staff was very friendly and professional. The entire hotel was very clean and the room was very cozy. We will be staying here again! Thank you. As a side note: the food quality is typical for this type of property, however, the bartender/food service team strives to make the best out of what they have to work with. Thanks again.
Excellent hotel. Room was updated with new technology and a contemporary design, and was very clean. The staff, from the front desk to the cleaning staff, were all very friendly and helpful.
We loved this hotel! The checkin/checkout was the easiest ever with friendly personel, and the room was clean, quite comfortable with everything we needed. It was actually luxurious, and weve decided that it was affordable, and for the money we will stay at Courtyard Rock Hill on all of our travels through the area!
The Marriott Rock Hill is conveniently located minutes from I-77. It was spotlessly clean. The staff did everything to make our stay pleasant and stress free. We had just spent 15 hours on the road. The trip was suppose to be 11, but the Interstate in Pennsylvania was closed for 5 miles. It took 2 hours to get to an exit to reroute our trip. When we arrived at the Marriott, the woman at the desk was immediately attentive to us. She was very friendly and helpful with information about local dining options
Im a very picky person considering I travel w my daughter and both suffer w allergies and sensitivity to a lot of things. The beds were perfect! Late night check in staff was awesome! Room great! Furniture and bathroom could use updating and this was not a major issue..both were in good condition. Definitely will return when were in the area!
We recently stayed at this location for a night while visiting out of town family. Everything about this hotel was a 10 out of 10. Check in and check out were a breeze and the people were so friendly. The amenities are above and beyond, the rooms are beautiful, food is great, the bistro staff is great. I can’t think of a single negative about the whole experience!
My husband and I are giving the Courtyard Marriott in Rock Hill 1 star. The reason we chose the Marriott was because they claimed it was newly renovated. We quickly realized that there were many issues with our room. We arrived at the hotel at 9:00 p.m. We dropped off our belongings in our room and went to dinner. We arrived back at our room at 11:00 p.m. and realized the heat was not working. The heat was set at 74 and would not get above 65. Our children were exhausted from an 8 and a half hour drive, we were all exhausted and didnt want to call and change rooms at that time. The first flush of the toilet, we discovered it was not working. Upon investigating, my husband discovered that someone tried a makeshift repair, my husband remodels kitchens and baths for a living. In order for the toilet to flush he had to manually lift up the flapper. The very frustrating part is that someone rigged the toilet and didnt fix it properly and we had to deal with that problem all night. To top things off, I woke up early to shower and we had no hot water supplied to our bathroom shower. Upon my husband trying to call the front desk to report all of these issues, he discovered the phone was not working and would not connect to the front desk or any other interior hotel extension. My husband proceeded to the front desk, and communicated our issues to the the front desk representative, rather than offering for someone to take care of the issues, she offered me $30.00 off of our room that cost us $160.00 for one night. We felt insulted, bad customer service.
The Courtyard Marriot at Rock Hill was a quick stay on our way home from a long trip. The pool and spa were a perfect way to end a long day. The Hotel was clean and very up to date in interior design. We were pleased with the very comfortable accommodations. We only ate a quick ala carte breakfast in the morning but the food was fresh and tasty. We would highly recommend this hotel to weary travelers!
Average stay. No breakfast because of the Rona. Pool closed due to same. Morning coffee was available for purchase from the Cafe which was not open the rest of the time we were there.
Clean & well kept property with recent renovations. Staff are very attentive and helpful. Good knowledge of dining options around town. Rooms are well cleaned. On site food was very good. Great bed. Perfect for leisure or business travelers. I have stayed in this hotel probably 6-7 times in 2015 and 2016 on business and leisure trips. I am pretty picky on housekeeping. Fitness center is small, but about average. There is an offsite Golds Gym option available if you want the full fitness experience. Make this a regular stop if you come to Rock Hill often.

We chose to stay here late in the day. The room was nice, like an above average modern hotel room. For breakfast we had coffee and a breakfast burrito, plus a yogurt bowl. They were tasty, and we received very good service from the woman who worked at the bistro. She went above and beyond the call of duty by telling us all sorts of fun sounding activities in the area. I would reccomend this hotel to a friend. It sure beats a couch!
Rooms met or exceeded our expectations and all ADA needs were great. Room was big, super clean and comfortable. Staff delightful and accommodating. Only gotcha was having a bistro instead of even the basic continental breakfast which was a problem for us as seniors who required food to take with our morning medications. Buying basic danish and OJ at bistro was outrageously expensive. We realize continental fees would be added to room rate if provided, but we were paying an above average rate for the room as it was.
We blocked rooms for our wedding way in advance. And was told that we would receive a complementary room. I do appreciate the fact that we received one, but it was not very nice. They updated the hotel, very nice. It looks great. When we checked in, we did not have a room on the night of our wedding. They finally found us a room. We did not have towels, cups, water, soap or anything. Called and asked for cups and water, and we were told that it was shift change and no one could bring us any. We asked for towels and soap in the morning, and was told they would bring us some. Over an hour went by and no one brought any. We had to find a maid in the hallway. The room smelled, smelled like someone was BBQing in the room. Very smokey. When we checked out we told them about our displeasure the woman did not even make eye contact, apologize or anything. She just said Ill tell the manager I am disappointed that I had over 7 couples stay in this hotel for more than 1 night each, and this is how the bride and groom were treated.
It was very comfortable. I felt safe and had nice breakfasts and dinners. Recommended to everyone. How much they have for overnight is expensive, but its worth it.
Just stayed one night, visiting family. Very nice hotel, great room, spacious beautiful and nice furniture. Above average. Good location. Fitness center was nice. Poor customer service. Both guys working the desks were very complacent. Did not know where to recommend dinner which was unusual. No complimentary coffee. You dont expect free breakfast but no coffee is very disappointing. Had to go to Dunkin Donuts for our morning coffee. Not bad overall, but disappointing for a Courtyard Marriott.
I have used Hyatt brand for several stays and changed to Marriott for my business needs. feel the rooms are cleaner and more up to date and the service is better. staff is outstanding. If any concerns it is the speed at breakfast.....make sure you give yourself time as you order your meal vs Buffet style. I just happened to pick a busy time, but the food was very good. I would definitely recommend this motel

We stopped here for an overnight stay on our way to Hilton Head Island. We were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the facility was. The lobby was very nice, and the rooms were well appointed. Will definitely be here again on future trips through Rock Hill.
