We had terrible experience with Bailey Outdoor adventure, We were with group of 6 adults and 2 kids. In the middle of the trip, 2 tubes got deflated and called the concerned group for help and didnt get any response from their end.We went to tip of life and got help from few families nearby to reach at the shore. so I will not recommend Bailey adventure to anyone.Note: We called multiple times for help, but no response from your end and also messaged our exact location still we didnt hear or see any kind of help. We believed Bailey outdoor adventures and not Tube manufacturers directly.Find the snap attached which we took after our adventurous trip (only 1 is fully inflated and rest 2 are with 20 to 30% air )

What a great afternoon on the Catawba for my dads 70th birthday! Even though it was very crowded on the river and parking was very limited, Baileys did a great job with transportation. They accommodated our large group and were more than gracious with meeting our requests for a specific time. Thanks so much for a great trip!

Great experience!! Was quick and easy to get our tubes and get in the water. Baileys had everything we needed- tubes, coolers, cooler float- even let us use a waterproof bag and speaker on the house. Customer service was great and even got a personal shuttle service to our car. Couldn’t ask for a better day.

In keeping it simple, the communication, organization, and integrity of this company is beyond poor. We had a group of around 50. I could never get a response when I contacted them. I was never given a valid address of where we were to park. At 9:00 the night before, I was informed that they dont in fact have the 10 kayaks that they told me they did. For our inconvenience they then reduced the price per tube and promised drinks/snacks at the end of our adventure. I rented a bus to move our group from the parking lot where we parked to the starting point so that we could get on the water earlier rather than being shuttled, which they wouldnt have been able to do even though they claimed they could. When we arrived at the starting point, they had only just gotten there themselves so we had to wait on them to blow up about 80% of the tubes. At one point, my employees were blowing up the tubes for them because apparently the owner had a hurt finger. We ended up not having a group event because most of us started about 40 minutes before the others. There were 4 people left without tubes due to them not having caps, which meant that we had to use our cooler floats for people and put 3 people in a double tube just to be able to get on the water. They did not offer ANY lifejackets to anyone, even though I had already told them that we wanted them available to those that chose to use them. The directions of where to exit were so unclear that we had employees miss it and go a mile past where they should have gotten off. There were no drinks and snacks at the end as promised. They didnt even show up to collect their tubes. Then they wanted to argue about final payment because we had people back out due to lack of kayaks and I wasnt paying for tubes we didnt even have!! Their argument for being short the tubes was that they had the tubes, just not the caps. The tubes are worthless without caps!! We ended up having a good time overall, but ONLY because we are a fun group and made lemonade out of lemons. But I would never use these people again, nor would I recommend them.

That was an awesome trip. My daughter just got home from her summer vacation, and taking her tubing down the river with Baileys outdoor adventures was the best choice for ending our summer together. The staff and their help was superb. Thank you Brian and Mike for a great time. I would recommend Baileys Outdoor Adventures to anyone, anywere, anytime.

We had a TERRIBLE experience with this company. We had a very large group (about 50 people). We all had called/emailed prior to our excursion date to reserve our spots with a $20 deposit. Our departure time was moved back by a half an hour due to heavy rain for several days prior. There was also another large group in front of us. The company was not prepared for a group our size at all. They further delayed our departure because they did not have enough life jackets for all of our kids or enough tubes! They actually had to purchase more while we waited...not an easy task to entertain 20+ kids in a parking lot in the heat. We had to remind them several times that the people who drove our cars to the end point still needed a shuttle back to the beginning. Needless to say we departed about 2 hours later than originally expected. Not one employee warned us of the high water and fast current and most of us were bever told where to get off the river! What should have been a fun day on the river quickly turned into a very dangerous situation when about 20 or more of us could not get over to the side fast enough. The current was too strong and the water was too deep. Most of the kids were able to be taken out of the water via canoe, however the majority of us had to climb through poison ivy laden brush into a nearby golf course. My 8 year old daughter hasn’t stopped talking about the “worst day of her life” (the canoe flipped while we tried paddling her to land and she wound up several yards further down the river). My husband was helping pull people out of the water through the brush and is covered in poison ivy. A week later and his leg and food are still swollen. The golf course we wound up in was about a mile walk from where our cars were parked. I would not recommend this company to anyone - obviously they care more about your business than they do your safety!

We had a terrible experience from start to finish today. We had a group of 50. I verified that a group this large could be accommodated. Deposits were paid and ages were given in order to have the proper sizes and number of life jackets. Our original time for launch was 11am but got pushed back to 1130 because of the water level. We were totally fine with that however there weren’t enough vests or inflated tubes. We didn’t get on the river until 1245pm.Only a handful of people were told about where the exit was located. This led to a VERY dangerous situation at the end. We missed the exit and got stuck in the brush just past it. Sounds like an easy situation to simply walk back to the exit BUT the current was so strong it was pushing our tubes into the branches. Our children were crying and getting hurt from the branches. Tubes were popping. It took us 45min to get everyone out safely. A stranger brought his canoe over to try and help. Neither owners from Bailey’s came and asked if we were ok. There was 1 employee who was at the exit. Later in the evening I personally reached out to them with no response. We will not be returning. We’d rather purchase our own tubes and go on our own. This business want not prepared to accommodate our large group. We arrived excited and left with scared children and exhausted parents.

The river was beautiful, which you had nothing to do with. The rest of the experience for us and the other guests we encountered was HORRIBLE. I have never seen a business so poorly run, first graders could do a better job. The people we were waiting with for a ride are probably still waiting for you. You didnt know what they drove, where it was parked, AND where to pick them up. That is just pathetic. No one even told us about valet (something you would think youd like to mention to guests) and thankfully so or else we be in the same dreadful situation. You should be embarrassed of yourself and your so called company. I assume you will go out of business very soon and you DESERVE that. Have a great day, now that Im far from your disgracefullness of calling yourself an adult I can enjoy mine.

Do not book this company. We paid a deposit of $385 and they never showed up. They will not return our phone calls or refund our money. I could go on and on about what I think about this company, but for this review, I will stick the the facts above.

So our experience was not the best. First our time was pushed back initially, which was fine because we were a larger group and it gave us more time. However then to receive another text telling us our group was being pushed out to 11( which we already were- demonstrates no one appears to be keeping up with who is actually going when) they arrived after us- after telling us they would be there in two minutes- not accurate try more 10-15. Then they still had to get the 10:30 group out. My husband was helping blow tubes up with our pump to try to facilitate leaving on time. Before leaving we had to take a tube up because it was deflating already. We pretty much tied all the tubes together ourselves- so no actual service there. Before we got very far, we thankfully had an extra tube because one was already deflating so someone switched. Then a child’s tube started deflating. We did as instructed and called and texted as we saw the railroad bridge- still awaiting that response or acknowledgment. Several people called and finally one of us got through. We asked about an ETA and he said he would be right there. They had taken our keys telling us our cars would be there for us- not accurate. Our cars were not there and if there wasn’t an intention for them to be there then you really didn’t need my keys. Which if you had a lot of trips booked then understood, but don’t take my keys and tell me my car will be there if you have overcommitted yourself. When someone finally arrived, he had one of our cars that would fit five people. We had 11 people in our group. The solution was to drive a few back, pick our cars up, then drive back and pick the rest of our group up. If we had been delivered what was actually said, which was our tubes taken care of, being tied together, had all tubes that remained inflated, and had our cars at the pick up spot- I would say you provided us a service. However, you delivered on none of those. It would be more prudent for any further ventures down the river to pay $20 per tube, which is essentially what we paid you to do not much. I’m fairly certain from previous reviews that you’re not actually going to give the refund you should give, though I’m sure you’re doing the best with what you could- the service was unacceptable. This was a celebration of our daughter’s 16th birthday and to have a stress free enjoyable time floating down the river was NOT achieved, and your company played a large part in a lot of the stress. Either way- hopefully you can take the feedback and make some MUCH needed improvement on the service you allege to provide.

This company clearly used my vehicle to shuttle others around, using almost a quarter tank of gas without my permission. Permitting a valet service does not allow you to use my vehicle for your company’s services...They were incredibly disorganized and unprofessional. I would strongly recommend using another company.

The people were nice enough and the ride down the river was fun....HOWEVER....they really need to work on their own communication skills and scheduling. When making the reservation, I stated that we were wanting a 4 person float. We were not informed that they no longer had this float until after were arrived. Not only this, but when we got there we had to wait for floats to be inflated and then half way thru our trip, one of our floats started going flat. After the trip we waited 2 hours to be picked up from the landing and eventually ended up riding back with another tubing company. I just feel that there are more than a few kinks that they need to work out. Even tho they gave a partial refund (not even a full individual rental) I really feel we should have gotten half of our money back that we paid.

Been to better, and dreadfully to close to “The Dump House”, I have been there was not booked in my name, several years ago in fact and I was in a big group, it took so long I left before they finally went out, no one working asked for my name much less ID and that is not the proper reply from a reputable business! You sound like that pathetic idiot from “The Dump House” Christopher Johnson

The process for reserving tubes were extremely stressful. I was supposed to get emails with directions and notes on the adventure, but I never got them. When I went to pay at the area on the river walk, they weren’t too happy that I had a credit card and were rude and annoyed that I didn’t have cash. After that, my boyfriend and I were extremely excited to go tubing, but they forgot to tell us that there were plenty of rocks and rapids. We lost our shoes along with one one of our shirt and obtained multiple bruises. Finally, when their “shuttle” arrived to take us back to the drop off site, the young daughter, who really shouldn’t have even been there, pointed out my stretch marks. While the float down the river, when there wasn’t rocks and rapids, was relaxing, I would probably just buy my own tubes at sports academy next time.

Giving 1 star as I could not give 0 star systematically. I wanted to re-iterate what Rakesh & Monica said in the previous reviews. Its a very Bad day - Having our kids in hand and struggling in the middle of the river with deflated tubes and Baileys did not come for rescue.God bless the family who helped us to get to the shore. Fortunately we all are safe today, But the Bad experience we had is going to stay with us for a long time. Saw Baileys response saying that they can provide compensation for the incomplete trip, Not sure what kind of compensation they might have provided if one of us went to emergency or worse than that. Though Bailey say that they are using number 01 durable tubes, it is Baileys responsibility to ensure the customers saftey as we did not get the tubes directly from Intex or Best way.And I wanted to take this opportunity to warn Bailey that If something bad might have happened then we might have sue-d this tubing company legally. We did not expect everything to be perfect but all we expected is the safety. If Bailey outdoor Adventures could not ensure the basic and necessary thing SAFETY then why should they run the business. If they would like to continue this Business then please ensure that the below suggestions are followed:1.) Educate the customers about the depth & speed of the river current and provide all necessary tips needed for their SAFETY.2.) Ask the customers to have the ride on the right hand side itself to get the Exit located on the right hand side (People on the left side of the river will not be able to manage to come to right side with the paddle they provide)3.) Let the customers know the place where they need to EXIT and the average time taken to reach the EXIT point.4.) Though You use Intex tube, Ensure that the tube is safe enough by blowing the tubes atleast half an hour before, so that we can come to know about the puncture / leakage in the tube.5.) One more way to ensure the same is immerse the inflated tube completely in the river and check for the punctures before the start.6.) Provide the alternate solution for missing the exit point.7.) Last but not the least, If the customer who is on the river calls you, Attend the phone calls.

I called 2 weeks in advance to make reservations for my dauggters 15th bday when we arrived we had to wait over an hour just to get our floats, once we were In the water the floats started to loose air all of the floats we had one 4 person float and 4 singles. We lost everything clothes towels phones. We had to get to the bank then walk the bike path back. The whole party was stranded. Not one time while communicating with the owner did she ask if we were ok or if anybody was hurt. Really bad experience I would not recommend this company to anybody.
