My recycling container continues to sit on the street - since Wednesday night. You were supposed to pick that up yesterday like the trash. Didnt happen. This is what Advanced Disposal did several times and I fired them and hired you. PLEASE... I paid - and have brought you more business too - come and hold up your part of this deal. This services has been great - until yesterday. Im knocking you down half way star wise. Ill put something positive out here if you finish the job. Everyone makes mistakes.

I have no complaints with the trash pick up here in Rochester. Always picked up on time. However, their website it HORRIBLE. Im not sure who the web designer is. They make it impossible to create an online account or make a payment. If you want to get paid, please think about making your website user friendly. Not everyone has time to call in to make a payment over the phone - thus online bill pay.

They disconnect and reconnect your service every time theres a bill if you dont pay it the same day the bill generates. So even if you use auto pay its still late so they get to charge you ridiculous fees. This is nothing but a scam. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS.

Id just like to send a huge SHOUT OUT to the folks that pick up my trash and recycling. Their attention to detail is on point and are so thoughtful in the services they provide. A few examples include: - One morning in winter I forgot to put out my trash. When I got home I saw footprints in the snow and that my trash can was empty and placed back in its spot. - Because of the pandemic and working from home I get my days mixed up. There have been times when Im working on my deck and the AD truck gives me a nice honk as they drive by. That reminds me to put out my bins before they do a second drive by. - And just this morning I saw the AD driver get out and set up my empty bin after it was dumped and fell over. Thank you so much to my AD trash and recycling drivers. I hope they are recognized by the good work that they do when no one is watching. Thank you!

We get our trash service through advanced disposal (now waste management) and thats ironic because the service isnt great. They dont explicitly state, nor send emails, regarding trash pickup changes for holidays (they pick up on Saturday but are open Monday-Friday); the online services dont typically work very well, additionally will lock you out and it is not an easy process to unlock. They also up-charge without a breakdown or explaination of charges.

Just got my final bill from Advanced Disposal/Waste Management. When I discontinued my service I asked about removal of there containers? A local representative told me if I dropped them off there would be no charge, but if they picked them up they would charge 12.50 per container. I agreed to the charge since I had no way to haul the EMPTY cans to them. Just got off the phone with Advanced customer service folks in Milwaukee. They said the $25 charge was indeed now $40.I was told service fees, recycling fees, taxes, solid waste removal fees, and business admin fees were standard for removing there own EMPTY containers. I was then told that if I were anywhere but Rochester Mn the fees would not have been applicable? What a great company...Not

We have had nothing but poor communication from the start. Upon setting up our account we were told to have our bins out at 6am...after repeated misses for recycle pickup we were told recycle pickup is 5am..this was never relayed the first 2 or 3 calls. When we first set up our account they told us the wrong day for pick up and we also had to pay for a previous month of service when we werent even a customer! Now today we call to cancel recycle since its not working for us (for our own personal reasons) and I am told there is a note in our account that the charge is to be added to our trash pick up and we will see no price change for dropping that service. What respectable company operates like this? Beyond frustrated with them.

If I could give less than 1 star for this company I would! Do not give your business to them. When you first set-up service the people you speak to are untrained and do not know the company. Later when you want to speak to a supervisor they say theyll have one call you in 72 hours maximum but no one ever calls. Later I called to speak to a supervisor and was advised to repeatedly call and ask if I was lucky enough to have reached a supervisor. Garbage doesnt get picked up on time and missed weeks after weeks. Awful company!!!

Absolutely unprofessional. Beyond lazy as well as messy! If you even have 1 extra bag sitting on the side of your can they complain about getting out of their truck and doing any extra work. Had a driver leave trash in my driveway because he didnt want to get out. What are you getting paid for!?

Absolutely terrible customer service and communication. We called and were told our account had been cancelled. We made other arrangements to use another service, and the day our new service delivered their dumpsters. Our “account manager” called and stated that we were still under a contract. This was after 2 previous employees of advanced disposal told us our account had been cancelled. This place is a joke. So is the communication within their organization.

They are completely focused on their customers and doing right by them. I highly recommend them for all disposal needs and services. We have been so pleased above and beyond.

They are going down the tubes. Weve had good luck for a while and then they switched from picking our recycling up every week to every other week we were never informed and were charged the same. Now they continuously forget to pick our trash up. Even after Ive called. I will be canceling their service I do not recommend.

Very impressed with Advance Disposal. I had Waste Management for years in my business and home. They kept raising 5he prices and service got worse.Switched to Advance Disposal, 1/3 the cost of WM for my business with great service,Same great service at home, in fact decided to write this review after forgetting to put can on curb, I watched the security camera to see who was nice enough to move in out for me. And it was the Advance Disposal DRIVER!! ! This is like unheard of! - Thank you!!!I highly recommend Advance Disposal.

I DO NOT recommend for business! It is fairly common for them to miss pick up so trash piles up and looks very unprofessional! I have called them about it and basically called me a liar and insisted it was picked up. They offered to come but they would charge an extra fee.

They’ve been great! So they were running a day behind because of Labor Day this week but I just thought I had put my trash out too late Friday morning. So Friday evening my husband put our trash back by our house. Then this morning I saw them come by my street. I was so disappointed because my trash wasn’t by the street. I thought I’d just try calling them .. it is Saturday so I didn’t even think they’d be open. But they were and I told them I missed them. They came back for my trash in less than an hour. Aug 2, 2017...company achieved revenue growth of 7% and continues to attain significant year -over- year improvements in cash flow from operations Yet, they raise their prices.... not directly, but through the environmental fee. Called and asked why the increase as no new trucks, no increase in gas or oil prices, no improvement in customer service. Did they change their ways of processing the garbage to help with the environmental affects of landfills...no, I was told it was to pay for the drivers. Typical corporate America adding fees so they dont look like the bad guy by actually increasing their rates...

We have had very good service with Advanced Disposal. Everyone is human - we all make mistakes. When something is forgotten, we just call and they come within a day to pick up the garbage or recycling that was forgotten. They are always very pleasant when I call and respond immediately. I think their pricing is fair. We are very happy with their service.

Advanced Disposal is simply the best available. They are prompt, and I can nearly set my clock by the time they arrive. No more waiting until late day, hoping for the other service to arrive, only to find they had forgotten. Advanced is ALWAYS on time, and the reminders of service delays due to holidays or severe weather are wonderful. Any time I have called customer service regarding any questions, they have been very professional, friendly and helpful. Ive heard negative things about other service companies in the area, but never hear anything bad about Advanced disposal. The tells me that they correct any issues that may arise BEFORE they become problems. The employees seem to be happy, as the service is great. Usually you can tell if people are not happy with their employer. Kudos to such a well run company!!!

I had been a customer of Advanced Disposal for years. I am giving them a one star because of three factors.They missed picking up my garbage, not regularly - but at least bi-annually (not due to adverse weather).Their prices are not competitive in the slightest, and they are not interested in keeping their customers by adjusting their rates.When I cancelled my service with them, I made sure to pay for them to pick up my garbage bins and pay for any other fees they required. I received a bill requesting I pay $7, no explanation given. I then received another bill from them requesting $70 and a statement saying my service had been suspended with a $50 suspension fee. When I called they said I owed $80. I produced statements from them and my bank proving the payment was made.Needless to say they are a garbage company. I like my new service with Sunshine Sanitation.EDIT: These guys are trash, I get a new $ amount owed every time I call them... and haveade payments to close my account I Probably am going to have to go to small claims court with them, they are not worth your time. Please choose any other garbage company.

The drivers have been completely inconsiderate with our containers. We put out our bins on time and at the requested distance apart. We come home to them with the lids always open, and lately, its been pouring. They fill up with water and take a while to dry, which makes for a horrible smell when they dont dry out completely before we have to put garbage in them. Last week, our container was knocked over on its side AND it was raining. Our house is on a slight hill and I could see the container filling up with water that is coming from uphill. I contacted customer service and was told that if I paid an extra $5 + tax per month PER container, they would require drivers to close it. Ridiculous that I have to pay extra for them to do the courteous thing and close it. Too bad we signed a two-year contract with them. Dont recommend them at all.

Never can seem to get the bill right and they have the worst online system you ever saw, you can not reset your password if lost for example, they lock you out and you have to call them and then they give you the same password everytime, why not just unlock with a note to the email on file like everyone else.

We have had service through Advanced Disposal for over a year. Their customer service has always been less than acceptable. However, we interaction over the past few days has been worse than ever. I had the trash driver wave at me and sped past me while I ran down the driveway with a recycling can that THEY rescheduled pick up on and left a message. The customer service representative I spoke with afterward was so rude and told me that is how they do business. Really? That is how you treat customers? I spoke with Customer Service Manager Dawn this morning to cancel service. She was condescending and didnt care at all about how I was treated. She was only interested in making sure they got their money and is even charging us to pick up the cans!!!! . YOUR COMPANY need to learn that YOU are not the only company in the area and YOU arent even the cheapest! Customer Service is the only way you will keep customers and I will NEVER be a customer again and I will be sure that everyone I know learns how you do business!!!

I have had Advanced Disposal for years. Always great service and when a problem arose, quick easy solution using my local office. Now it seems they have gone to a centralized office in a other state for customer service. Trying to resolve a problem now is a nightmare. I have heard similar issues from others. Why cant we contact our local office that knows what is going on? I would suggest using a service that you can contact locally.

This company is the worst ever! On hold for 25+ minutes. Told I cant cancel my service, unless I speak to manager, who will call me back. Wait over 4 hours for a call back. I dont get a call back. Try to call them: hold time 25 minutes. We are moving out of state, and they still say I have to honor my contract. Customer service is terrible, the haulers have broken both our trash and recycling containers, and if they let me cancel my service I have to pay $25 for someone to pick up their trash containers. Stay away from this company. And this after we have been on time paying customers for many years. One star is one star too many!

Advanced Disposal Trash Company in Rochester, MN is HORRIBLE. I signed up to have service with them starting Feb 1, 2018. Three month billing cycle at a rate of $72.57. So I pay that every three months, right? Well, I get a bill stating I owe $51 more for billing cycle Feb-May. That is 4 months, not three. I called in now 4 times and they still cant resolve my correct amounts. A woman named Nataya has answered each time and first told me she would call me back. Never did. I call again a week later, she again said she is trying to contact someone in billing directly, I am waiting on the phone with them as I type my review. She also tried stating my amount that was quoted to me didnt include taxes and fees for my area. I know it DID include fees because I specifically asked about fuel charge, county and city taxes and surcharges, etc. Then she said the 72.57 is only for the first 3 months and then it goes up to 91 dollars or so. Nope, not what I was told. Our last service was $76/month and I would never have switched to a MORE expensive trash company. SO PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ON ADVANCED DISPOSAL. Guess, I can try sunshine sanitation?

Also was told someone was going to contact me about the price of the services, no one did. This time talked to someone and they said the price is the price and it cant change. Terrible customer service! Confusing bills. Why pay a fee for picking up garbage cans when you change services when I personally had to haul the garbages from my previous residence? The other reason we have been with Advanced we see the same employee, if I forget to put out my trash, they see it, theyll bring it down for me. Others have approached us, but we keep Advanced, we know them and that important, not just price.

Rather than me broadly stating lier’s and cheaters, let me state that they were contacted by phone to discontinue service on June 30, 2019. The property was sold. We were told that we would be contacted by their sales agent. We didn’t agree that was necessary. It was the buyers option to continue the service, but not our obligation to maintain the service.Nonetheless, to (attempt) avoid any BS, they were contacted again by phone a week later and informed that we hadn’t been contacted by the sales agent, and to make sure to cancel the service. There response was that they needed the new owners information. Again we stated the same response, cancel the service. The new owner will contact the vendor of their choice.The same thing a week later, as no one contacted us, and again a week following that. Feeling that we were being set up for intensional billing on a property that we no longer owned, we sent it in writing.A week later, we received another bill, and a week after that, an email from the sales representative saying that as we hadn’t contacted them and provided the new buyers information, we were being billed again.These are the types of companies to avoid as a property management company or apartment owner. Our personal experience is that they dishonest in their business practices, and have intensionally exploited our billing.

We have been with advanced disposal for years, but just cancelled. We tried to have our service moved to our new house, but somehow, after being on the phone with them for 30+ minutes trying to get this done, our account was cancelled, and then a new account set up at our new address, leaving us with 2 weeks of no trash service at our old house before we moved. In addition, there have been multiple instances of them not picking up our garbage, and then when we called to have it picked up, we were billed for an additional pick up.

I am done with this business. We had used Advanced Disposal for over 5 years, rarely did a month go by that I didnt have to call and ask why my garbage and/or recycling hadnt been picked up as scheduled. This past winter a driver actually dropped our garbage can, breaking the lid off and cracking the side of the container. They didnt even bother to pick up their mess! After a month of not having had my recycling picked up I ve decided to try another company. When I called to stop my service I was told that I would be charged $25, to cover the cost of their driver coming to my house and picking up their cans. Unbelievable. I highly recommend you use a different waste management company

I wish I could give them 0 stars! STAY AWAY from this company! Horrific customer service, policies, and fees!I called to cancel our service when we were moving out of state. The first person I spoke to was very kind and quickly arranged for our service to end on our moving date and for the cans to be picked up. I was told wed get a refund for the remainder of the month that had been prepayed. After calling back to find out how much it would cost for them to take some extra items that we didnt want to move, we were informed that our service WOULD NOT be cancelled because we hadnt given 120 days notice!!! We didnt even know we were moving 120 days in advance! How could we give notice? Furthermore, wed have to pay an outrageous cancellation fee as well as a fee to have the cans picked up! I asked how they could do that to their customers and was told it was in the contract. I asked them to produce the contract for me and they could not. Then they said fees and policies change all the time, just like with cell phones. What?!? I strongly disagreed, told them it was illegal to change those things without notifying the customer, and again asked to see a contract or the fine print. Again they could not produce it. After literally hours of being on hold/arguing with customer service (who refused to let me speak with a manager), they finally agreed to waive the fees. They also chose to pick up our cans 3 days earlier than wed originally agreed. Fine, whatever.Fast forward a month...I havent gotten the refund Im owed, but I did get a bill for the can removal fees (which also has an environmental surcharge on it!). I called customer service again. The gentleman I spoke to this time barely listened to me and kept interrupting me and talking over me. He claims to have a contract with me all of a sudden and proceeded to tell me how lucky I was to have gotten the cancellation fees removed. But somehow he has no record of them waiving the can removal fees and claimed that the environmental surcharge is required for every transaction, even if its not related to trash removal. (Are you kidding?!?) He says hes sending my case to be audited by the billing department and I should call back in a couple of days. He was so incredibly condescending and rude.Moral of the story: dont fall for the deal they offer new customers! Youll end up paying a lot more in fees than you ever wouldve paid with a different company! This company has no idea what good customer service is! Stay far, far away!!!

Very Disappointed with their service. We set out an extra 13 gallon can full of waste and not only did they take the entire can, which costs us $15 to replace, but they also tried to charge us for an additional 95 gallons of garbage removal! Who does business like this? And whoever we dealt with on the phone should not be dealing with customer complaints. She only made things worse, which resulted in us canceling our service.

No 0 star rating option!? Half a star!? When we first moved over here and shopped around and gave Advanced Disposal a try. After having Y Waste in Austin, I was very leery about how theyll be able to top them or at least be on the same level since they were such an amazing company (If anything fell- theyd get out to pick it up, if you forgot your can theyd actually get it). I was pleased at first with Advanced Disposal then the pick ups started getting missed, garbage cans knocked over, garbage ALL over the place and thought MAYBE they didnt see it- which was giving them the benefit of a doubt. Today has been my last straw. Once I heard the garbage truck pulled up I happened to look outside to see garbage again all over. I waited for someone to get out- NOPE! They just drove down to the end of our cul-de-sac, So I waited because MAYBE they didnt see. Oh no, they did and as they drove by I had the door open as they looked at the garbage and kept driving, though I WATCHED them watch the garbage in passing. This company is ridiculous, and well be switching as this is NOT the first time weve had this experience. Such lazy drivers- they will not get out to clean up the mess THEY create, leaving my TINY can already half full. Never again will I do this, nor will I ever recommend this company. Youll regret it.

The worst ever! Tried to convert billing from yearly to monthly as we are moving in a few months and it created a complete mess. They could not figure out how to change it, so we eventually cancelled our services after numerous phone calls. Four months later we are still trying to close our account. Between my husband and I, we have called no less than 15 times and were reassured that the account was either closed and we were all paid up or someone would look into it and get back to us. No one ever called us back to follow up and we would have to call again and sit on hold forever. We have now received a letter threatening to send us to collections, even though we paid the final bill and they collected our garbage/recycling cans over a month ago. I have honestly never experienced such poor customer service in my life. Rochester MN needs to get their waste management services figured out!

Oh, I wish I could give this place a zero. Never really compelled to write a bad review until I’ve recieved terrible service multiple times. Last week, I watched the garbage truck pull up to my house. Having high hopes for the trashmen to take my trash, I watched them through my window. They sat in front of my house for 2 minutes, didn’t take the trash or recycling, and proceeded to drive off without explanation. Thinking it might be a fluke or maybe a pissy employee doing a shite job because of a bad day, I brushed it off. Now, it’s a week later. My trashcans are sitting on the curb, positioned perfectly for pickup. Well, they came by again but alas, only picked up my recycling. My trash can has been full to the brim for multiple weeks now. Why am I paying for a trash service that doesn’t take away my trash? The employees attitudes match their service - absolute garbage.

I cancelled service with this company in Dec 2018. I was told i was paid up. A couple months later i get a bill for 10.95 and i pay it, then I get a letter saying im being sent to collections for $51. I call and they tell me it was a mistake. In the past six weeks, they have missed my garbage 3 times. The bin was out, at the curb and nothing was near it. There are no homes on either side of my house or across the street but they just drive on by, but manage to pick up the recycling....

This is the worst company for trash pickup. They did not pick my trash two weeks, I had to call and email to get my trash pickedup. And again very next week trash was not picked up. I am not sure how many weeks it will be like this. Stay away from this company

Repeatedly did not pick up trash on scheduled days. Never a discounted bill or amends. Incredibly poor customer service. Bill increased consistently due to excessive fees, etc. Cancelled services with them.

Had Advanced Disposal for 4 years. The last year or so has been 100% terrible. The pricing annually isnt even competitive anymore, and the customer service is a nightmare. Their website is garbage they should be hauling away, and their billing system insistence on quarterly is a joke. Hate to ditch a company I have used for so long, but theyre gone as of today. Ill be looking elsewhere.

They are timely, prices are reasonable for the area, my only complaint as it is, is the fact that they never get the lid to close on the trash container, but it is always closed on the recycle container. So when it rains or snows and I am at work I have to dump the container to empty it.

Very disappointed with customer service. Its worth the $80 contract fee to be done. A fee they neglected to mention until I was at their location returning the cans.Really makes the we care about customer service message that I listened to for 40 minutes on hold trying to cancel seem sad.

Very, very poor customer service. Also, they keep missing my pick up, requiring me to spend 20 to 30 minutes on the phone to get them to come back and pick up the containers. Frequently they dont show up to for several days. Today, they socked me for an $11 late fee, even though I always pay the bill shortly after its received. Lousy company with very lousy service!

They increased my rate by $40 and when I tried to call, I was put on hold for 20 minutes. They offered to lower my rate if I signed a 2 year contract. I then called back and left a message and no one returned my call. I cancelled my service online and still no one returned my call. I called back today and was on hold for 14 minutes. I cancelled my service and now they are charging me another $25 to pick up their trash bins. Horrible customer service for a long time customer. Very disappointed.
