Incredible guy. I had several computers and laptops that died on me over the years. Went to Geek Squad at Best Buy and other I.T. businesses to see who could help. Half of them requested an absurd price while others tried to sell a new computer to me. Ed treated me more than a customer. The longest I’ve been without a computer was less than a week while others estimated over two months. He utilized very advance techniques on fixing both my software and hardware, all for a great a generous price btw. I’ll always recommend him if anyone needs help with their computer problems. Remarkable work for just one guy in a tiny shop

Very satisfied with Ed at 1st Rate Computers! His knowledge, and background of solving computer problems is second to none. Ed is totally honest, and will not charge you as much for his services than other places would. He could be an excellent teacher, at a high school, or college, but enjoys helping people of all ages.

Worst computer workshop known to man. Needs to be shut down! Worst quotes, talks in circles and is never open when I wanna go there and check the status of my computer. Calls and says he needs extra money to fix it. This place is sham! He doesnt know how to fix anything. I highly advise anyone seeking help to fix their laptop to steer a completely differently direction. Who cares if you gotta drive 8 miles to a different repair shop. Your convenience isnt worth getting ripped off! Not a happy customer! Im going to go buy a brand new computer now because mine doesnt turn on anymore. No one go here!!!!

Horrible horrible horrible experience, I cannot believe this place is STILL open. Before I moved state I had a computer tower that had a DISCONNECTED CABLE to the hard drive. First he let me know that a few things could have happened but mainly that the power supply had taken a surge and fried my HD, Hard to believe but I went with it. He took my computer and kept it for two months and called my 2 times to ask my for additional Information and asked for more money to replace a piece which also fried with the hard drive. I never gave him the info and told him once my computer was running and i could see it again i would gladly pay for the part needed. (4) Weeks passed . He wouldnt answer my calls, his store hours are posted on google but multiple attempts to go to his shop were met with a locked door. After coming very early and not being in phone contact for a few days, I was able to catch him opening his shop and was able to get on his shop floor. Legit this man was not expecting me to even be in his space so he, very anxiously and nervously went into the back area and came back 10 minutes later saying the parts never came in and he didnt need my business.(Now being very curious about my computer I bring it to a man who I know will tell me the truth) and he explains my HD had been removed and put back in-correctly, really in a haste he says and that when he connected everything back together and plugged it into the power supply it loaded the OS and brought it back to the user login for Win 7pro.Looking at the box it came with and regarding its specs literally everything was factory as it came. A few days later it popped up the same error from the beginning, I took off the side panel and pushed the cord into the HD and restarted it. Worked fine. Cord was too big for inside of casing and was bent at an angle apparently. I paid 100 bucks down just for him to hold it and he wanted 75 more plus finding out after the fact he was trying to get into my user account. Terrible experience. Only went because I was told of him from a good friend, Who had a simple experience and hyped his ability incredibly. Please shut down.
