Mary does beautiful work, is creative and capable of very complex alterations. She is down to earth, friendly, reliable and flexible. She has altered two suits for me and I would happily take more clothing articles to her. She is flexible with drop off and pick up times. Her prices are fair. She accepts cash and checks at the time of drop-off; cash only if paying at pick-up. I have used several other tailors in Rochester. Mary is by far and away my first choice! You will definitely be satisfied!

It had a done of detail and beading plus the dress shop talked me into going a size bigger which made things challenging, but Mary listened to me and got what I needed done! This is the second time I have asked Mary for help repairing a coat (this time for my kid). In both cases, she was very professional and was able to fix the coat quickly. I’ve taken multiple dresses to Mary from evening gowns, to brides maid dresses, to summer dresses. She nails it every time. Very fast as well! I will continue taking all my alterations to her!

I ignored the initial impression, and used Mary anyway, assuming she must be really good, since she is not customer friendly. It was a mistake. She took in two sport coats for me. One was left with a severe pucker across the upper back. I had forewarned her about previous puckering problems Ive had, and she said it would not be a problem. She said she could not fix it, and she would not accept partial payment. She only offered to undo what she had done. Thankfully, Johns Tailor Shop did a nice job fixing the pucker in my sport coat.

Brought my wedding dress to Mary and she got it done within a week! She is very nice and knowledgeable! I had my belt sewn in as well as cups and a French bustle! She talked me through the differences between french vs american bustles and getting cups sewn in. Unfortunately if you have a larger chest she only has up to a C cup so order some ahead of time! Also she is very affordable and I would rather give my money to someone with their own business over a company any day! Mary altered my wedding dress (hem, waist, strap) and now it fits perfectly! Im completely satisfied with the quality, cost, and speed (finished a week before I asked for it to be done) of the alterations.

Im sure her services are great & she must be a very busy person. I just thought it was a little rude that most of my emails never got answered and that she refused to work on a coat of mine until next winter. Its not something that I need right away but it was something that I wanted to have put away and ready for when winter comes.

Needed some patches sewn on a leather vest, she did a outstanding job, made sure they were straight while the vest was on and was more than fair on the price, I will definitely be back and recommend others
