Little more expensive for a hair cut than I normally pay. But it was literally the only place in town with a last-minute opening. I am glad I took it! My sons hair came out great! Usually we have a hard time finding a hair style for him, but with a couple must have suggestions from my son, the stylist ran with it! (Not literally, because Im sure not running with scissors was the first rule taught in hair stylist school.) His hair looks great (not so much in the morning, but I dont think theres any helping that...) Most importantly, though, my son is actually happy with it! (Meaning I got more of a reaction from him than just its okay) Needless to say, we will for sure be going back.

I came here after a disaster of a haircut at The Barbershop another hair place in rochester. They had completely chopped my hair off so I came in to the mens salon and they did their best with what was left. Julia faded it and made it look as presentable as possible and gave me tips on how to style it. After 20 min of her fixing it and giving me tips we finished up and she only charged $9 as she said she couldnt cut to much. Julia did a great job given the circumstance and I have definitely found a new stylist that I will be going to in the future.

Heat service and products. Book ahead of time because the staff is so well liked you might find walk-ins hard to get. One sign this place is for you is that the staff has low turnover. They have a full spectrum of services you should try. Finally, the different stylists have expertise in a lot of different hair and skin types so if you need a fade or line up you might find success here!

MenSalon is by far my favorite place to go for my haircuts! They do such a wonderful job at listening to what my wants and needs are. Everyone at MenSalon feels like a family to me. They make you feel appreciated, and do not just see you as a number. The staff at MenSalon is incredibly knowledgeable at what they do. Also at MenSalon they provided other resources than just haircuts which is great! They really strive for the best, and it shows! I have always gotten great haircuts from the friendly stylists who work here.

I liked the fact they assigned appointment times so I did not have to wait for a haircut. My barber was a sweet young lady who was always ready for me. I stopped going due to Coronavirus but MAINLY because the OWNER SHAUNA ANDERSON racially discriminated against me!!!!

My husband usually hates going to the hair salon, but when he went here he was very impressed. They were precise to what his standards were and how he wanted his hair done. Only problem I have with this place is that its very tiny. They need a bigger parking lot or a bigger location cause everytime I come its always packed full of cars. Good luck finding a spot.

Had a nice experience today with Emily. Experienced hair cutter but relatively new to this place. Book a Level 1 stylist, get Level 5 service and save a few bucks. Great cut.Web-Site/booking process is a bit tedious but they say it is getting revamped.

I really like the staff and the quality of service I have received, but the last three times I’ve needed a haircut I have called them multiple times and no one answers the phone. Call three times in a row call 3 times spread out over an hour period, Doesn’t matter they don’t answer the phone. I don’t think I have ever tried so hard to give a company my business. Unfortunately today is last time I will try.

My best friend recommended a place for me to get a hair cut.. Turns out I went to the wrong place and ended up at MenSalon, which was the best thing that could have happened. I ended up with Beth and will never go anywhere else. Shes the greatest.

I really like this place. I have gotten my hair cut probably six times here I would estimate, and every single one has been top notch. I tend to see different stylists when I go, mainly because I have specific days when I am available and I am not great at setting up appointments several days or weeks in advance. Regardless, I have had a pleasant experience with all of the stylists. Because this is a mens salon (modern take on a barber shop I would say), they have a good intuition about what you are looking for. You can just say a clean business cut and they will know exactly what to do. I often get a side part cut where I leave the hair a little longer in the front and top, but shaved up the sides. When I tell them that I want to do a side part, they know what to do and I have never had a bad haircut here. Also, I am a pretty quiet customer compared to some. The ladies are always good about figuring out if the customer is a talker or not and following suit, which I respect and appreciate. They offer products occasionally, but they are not pushy about it. All haircuts include a wash, shampoo, and a neck massage. I feel like the used to straight razor shave the back of your neck too, but that hasnt happened the last few times I have been in. Not sure if they stopped doing it or just forgot.Anyway, haircuts are great. It costs more than a big chain store, but the service is better, haircuts are consistently good, and its a local business. Keep up the great work MenSalon!

Look good and feel even better after receiving a top tier haircut from any of the certified ladies. Extremely comfortable chairs, popcorn, and coffee are all free while you wait for your haircut. Walk-ins are available but I like to use the online booking option. Much faster and simple to navigate.

This place gave me a $18 haircut where they washed my hair and single blade shaved my neck. Inside had some chairs and TV and popcorn and Keurig. There were lots of products available for sale and staff was nice. They have many other care and grooming services for guys that seek more. Id come back here.

I never review places but I love going here so much that Ill do my first review.I book my appointments with Megan and she does a perfect job each time. Never really did much with my hair, usually wear hats, but after years Im starting to style my hair a little bit. Im growing out my beard and I have her shape it up or trim it with each visit to keep it looking good as it grows. Shed helped me a ton on how to care for it and what products I need to make it look nice each day. Ive left each visit very happy with her work.Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely a business that I will continue to support for however long we live in the Rochester area. Hopefully we wont leave and I can remain a patron here from now on. Use to just go to whatever haircut place had an opening available, but Ive finally found a place Id like to be a regular at.

MenSalon was very accommodating. I stopped in without an appointment. I was quickly greeted and scheduled that afternoon at a time that worked well for me. The stylist asked how I wanted my hair cut did a wonderful job blending the sides and the top. I will return to MenSalon for my next haircut.

Just like the Barbershop but with a small town business feel. I use to go to the Barbershop for my haircuts and I enjoyed it there. However, after going to the MenSalon I plan on going there for my future services. It was a little more expensive than the Barbershop but growing up in a small town I understand that places like the MenSalon need to charge a little more to cover their costs since they are not a large franchise. Plus the staff there is great!-Very friendly and personable and good at cutting hair as well! Ill be recommending MenSalon to all the guys I know who are looking for a place to get a haircut.

Excellent staff and service. The haircut always looks good and they have great recommendations for hair products. They schedule 25 minutes even though my hair takes around 10 minutes to cut. The rest of the time they wash my hair very thoroughly which really feels like a 15-minute head massage. I highly recommend this shop.

Bailey is awesome! Besides her excellent ability to cut and style your hair just how you like it, she is very personable and able to carry a conversation on top of it! There are many that cant cut and talk at the same time. Bailey is the best. I need more stars to give her.

I figured they had been around for a while, but turns out theyve garnered all this positive feedback in a few short months! And no wonder! My experience was spectacular. The haircut was relaxing and extremely well done, and my first manicure (while I was hesitant) was a very pleasant experience. Michelle took the time to explain the philosophy of the business, and I am happy to say theyve won a repeat customer. Their professionalism and genuine kindness was so refreshing. I take my son (5) here for his haircuts. Beth Tobako has been cutting his hair for years, and he always looks forward to his visits. He likes the popcorn while waiting, but especially enjoys the shampoo and rinse. The store itself is cozy and clean, a pleasant place to be groomed.

Having recently had my first haircut at MenSalon I came away very impressed with the level of service and the quality of the haircut I received. The lady who cut my hair seemed to be very knowledgeable about what she was doing and explained why she was doing certain things to improve how the haircut will look. I walked away feeling happier with how I looked than I have at any other barbershop to date. I highly recommend their services in the future.

Ive had horrible experiences in Rochester trying to find a good hair cut at a reasonable price. Thankfully I heard about MenSalon through a friend at work. Shauna is highly skilled, professional and affordable. This is a great small business that takes care of it clients, and you wont feel rushed out the door. The Barbershop is no comparison.

Used to love going to this place and getting my hair cut by Kelly - she’s a very talented hairdresser but sadly had to stop going when she started to complain how long my haircuts would take and saying I should pay more for the haircuts I get? I absolutely loved this place because of their great service and the owner was always polite but I can’t give this place 5 stars because of Kelly’s bad attitude. You wouldn’t think it would be wrong to express what you want in a haircut or to try new things! Maybe one day I will try this place out again and Kelly changes her attitude.Edit- Kelly is now gone! I see she works at barbershop south by GameStop now. Still love going to this place. As long as the person cutting hair has experience then it is a good place to go, try to avoid the lower tier hair cutters and ask for most experienced!

Amber Zomok is the best! Before she went to Mens Salon, she worked elsewhere and she is literally the only person that I let cut my hair! I followed her work to the Mens Salon. Usually, I am the only girl in there getting her hair cut, but that doesnt stop me. She is the best, I love the whole experience and I am always out in roughly 30 minutes. I highly recommend Amber to anyone wanting a great cut!

Ive been going to a variety of hair places around town and most of them are either too expensive, dont do a good job on the haircut, or are just plain unfriendly. This was my first time going to the MenSalon and it was one of the best experiences ive had. The staff was friendly. I was offered free coffee and my haircut turned out wonderfully! Mechelle does an excellent job. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for a friendly environment.

My husband got his beard trimmed, and it looked terrible. The sides were uneven, and the bottom was even different lengths. So bad, he shaved it off himself when he got home. However, he loved his wash and head being shaved so he tried it again one month later. He was 6 min late, so he realized he was only a hair cut and not his straight shave.... this time, she barely washed his hair, and very rude and he was there for a total of 7 minutes before being pushed out the door (only one other customer in the shop) He will not be back...
