I had someone back into my car and leave me with a large dent in my drivers door. I brought my car in for Arete for them to look at and see if they could pop out the dent and buff out the pretty deep scratch. They did incredible work. I couldnt believe it when I returned to pick up my car 2 hours later. It looked brand new.Arete ended up saving me a lot of money as the collision shop recommended a much more expensive repair that clearly was not needed.On top of the quick and amazing work they did the owners are great people. Easy to talk to and you can tell they are only out to help you and not sell you anything you dont need. Great place to go for dent work and buffing on top of everything else they do. Ill be giving out recommendations to friends and family whenever I can.

Arete made my new Veloster N look amazing! I had them do the CQuart Professional with a paint enhancement and a PPF Ultra Trunk Guard. Everything turned out great! I am really excited to have a car that is protected from all types of weather and much easier to wash! Ive been going to Arete for a little over a year and a half now. I started out with a couple older cars - a few PPF jobs and some light detail services. I just picked up a 2020 Subaru WRX and didnt think twice to take it back to them for a full front end PPF and ceramic coating. After a week of being in their hands the pictures attached show the end result. I couldnt be any happier with the car at this point. While we didnt end up using Aretes services, we emailed them with a question and the customer service we got was *incredible.* So much transparency and clarity in their communication, even though it ultimately resulted in not getting our business. Jon applied CQuartz and SunTek Paint Protection film (PPF) to my Lightning after a recent paint job. They did a great job. PPF was applied to half the hood, half front fenders, front bumper, and lower fenders (front and rear behind the tires). When wrapping the hood they tried to wrap around the edge and to the back. However they did have it lift due to thin paint on the edges. Upon removal some paint on the edge lifted. Jon did not hide it but rather called and shared pics. After talking we agreed that he would touch up the edge and wrap only the top surfaces to prevent other issues. I appreciated honesty and taking the extra steps to correct the situation. Touch up was great and one cannot tell.These guys are enthusiastic car guys and have respect for all makes. Will have them do future work!If thinking of doing a PPF on a non OEM paint job I would recommend avoiding a full edge wrap due to possible thin paint on the edges.

Ended up being more expensive than Id hope for a job that didnt end up looking great. They did what I wanted which was to cover a dent and some chipped paint to prevent rust, but unfortunately the damage was still very visible.Update: They reached out to me after posting this and offered to do a bit more work for free. Definitely looks better!

My car was affected by a major overspray incident in Rochester, and I was reluctant to use the free service provided by the third-party insurance. Luckily, Arete Auto Salon saved the day! John was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. He was honest and detailed in his quote and made sure we understood everything he and his team would be doing. Overspray removal is a big task, especially since it damaged every surface of the exterior (body, glass, plastics, tires, etc.). John displayed an impressive level of expertise in handling the different surfaces, which all react differently to removal methods. He and his team worked tirelessly for two days and successfully got essentially all of it off WITHOUT damaging the exterior or leaving any swirls that often happen with this type of work. My plastics arent dried out at all. If you have any car detailing needs, go to Arete. They go the extra mile, theyre professional, and they do it right. Theyre the best!

John at the counter was awesome. He took the time to explain all the packages. I showed him some trim damage on the car and he recommended only the services that would take care of it and nothing extra. When I came back for my car 5 hours later, it was outstanding. I wish I grabbed pics of it. That will be for next time.

The response that I got from them really gave me an idea of their professionalism and top notch customer service. After being convinced, I brought in my car to get it washed and waxed. I take good care of my car and usually keep it clean so I was looking forward to what it would look like after. I was just amazed and impressed at how good the car looked. Amazing detailing shop, brought my car from Canada for special attention. They were able to get my 10 year old swirls in black paint out and restore the paint to near factory condition. Just had my 7-yr old Lincoln MKS detailed inside and out, and I couldnt be happier with my experience and the results! I take good care of my car, expecting that it really just needed a good clean-and-shine. I was over the moon to see how this team brought back my car to better than showroom quality. I hadnt realized how dull the flecked-black paint had become -- now it gleams so much in the sun you can barely look straight at it. :-) The restoration to my wheels is better than I would have dared to expect. They were able to help fix up my paint that was faded, scratched, and covered in water spots. These guys are simply the BEST when it comes to customer service and auto detailing.I had ordered a build to spec car for my son from my local NorCal dealer and arranged to have it courtesy delivered to the dealer in Rochester. Jon asked if he could inspect the car once it got to the dealer to determine the amount of paint correction and work that would be needed. I notified Jon the car was at the dealer after speaking with my local dealer rep. Jon noticed there was front end paint damage along the front spoiler and sent me photos that I could pass to my local dealer. There was a dispute among the dealers regarding who would pay for damage since they didn’t know where the damage occurred. To matters worse, the car was on a factory recall so my local dealer could not sell me the car until the repairs were made. I didn’t have time to wait months so I didn’t buy the car.I ended up buying another car from my local dealer and had it shipped directly to Arete who had agreed to take delivery of the car since they were doing paint prep and ceramic coating once it arrived. The car was supposed to arrive between the Monday to Wednesday of the week we were dropping my son off at college. I texted the auto carrier on Thursday, the week before our arrival, to see if he was still on schedule to make the Monday to Wednesday delivery only to learn he was dropping the car off Saturday, three days before the scheduled delivery! I told the auto carrier that Arete was closed on Saturday to which he replied that was bad. I called Arete in a panic since I knew they were closed over the weekend and explained what was happening to Jake. Jake totally bailed me out by offering to be at the shop on his day off to take delivery and to inspect the car. After the car was delivered, he gave me an assessment of the car’s condition and sent me photos! When we finally made it out to Rochester, the car had been fully detailed and looked better than when we took delivery of the car. Arete will be caring for my son’s car while he’s at college.

Everyone there is knowledgeable, thorough, and passionate about what they do. They honestly enjoy what they do. Ive had two vehicles in with them and my expectations were exceeded when I got both cars back. I brought in a 12 yr old SUV that hadnt had the interior cleaned a day in its life, and they got the interior looking near new again. I was shocked when I saw the carpets. Theyll do any work you can do at home 20x better than you can. They have the proper tools, materials and know-how.

The in house products from Arete are on par with the leading detailing products on the market. The ease of using products like the Iron Remover to dissolve hard to remove road debris to the quick Spray Sealants lasting effects has surprised me still to this day 5 months into use. Quick shipping and great customer service. I have and will keep referring friends on colleagues to them. Great group up there.

Went in for a full showroom detail on on my new to me A4 the guys not only made a 7 year old car with 60k on it look brand new they also answered every obnoxious question and even made sure I got to where i needed to be. Best part they finished it early!! Well worth every penny HIGHLY recommended.

I have taken two cars to Arete. They really do phenomenal work. I had a 2003 Mercedes that looked like the life of the paint was gone; it had scratches and swirls every where! They brought it back to new or nearly new looking condition with their paint correction skills and products. About a year ago, I met Eric and Jon at the shop and was immediately blown away with their knowledge. More importantly, they took the time to make sure that they took the time to explain to me said knowledge in plain english. They answered all questions that I had, and even went the extra mile by walking me through exactly what they were going to be doing on my car, as well as some of the potential options that I had during my appointment. From a customer service standpoint, there is not a single place I can recommend more than the gents over at the shop. From start to finish, they make sure that you and your vehicle are of paramount importance and it shows.Moving onto the products, I had a C-Quartz UK ceramic coating applied to my vehicle. The coating really brought out the depth, gloss, and shine in the paint. The metallic paint shined incredibly bright in the sunlight, and looked like glossy water at night on the town. The interior was treated just as well as the outside. My car has a light tan colored leather/carpet set which I see as a virtue as well as a curse. Rest assured, if you fall into the same category these guys got you. The carpets came back looking brand new, and the boys even explained to me some options for the upcoming winter to avoid staining from the salt and slush of the area.I recently moved out of NY for a change in career. Eric has made sure to keep in touch as well as really drive home the fact that they are just a call away. Numerous times Ive called them and asked a smattering of questions. He didnt hesitate once to have a chat with me on the phone to get me sorted as well as ship out some products for the car same day.If you love your car, value your time, and place a high value on customer service, there is not a place I can recommend higher than Arete.

I had stains on the front seats of my car and they weren’t sure if the stains would come out with one treatment. When all was said and done, they were able to remove the stains with one treatment, stand up shop, they could have easily told me that the stains didn’t come out the first time and charged me for a second treatment. Not only that, I Dropped my car off in the morning, one of the guys drove me to work and picked me up when my car was done! Great guys, great shop!!!

I took my four month old Ford Fusion to Arete to see if they could “undo” a horrible rain repellent windshield coating that was applied at the dealership when I bought the car. I was at my wits end with not being able to see out the windshield in the rain, and was ready to replace the windshield (if not the whole car), because the dealership stuff would NOT come off. The guys at Arete were awesome, they listened carefully to my description of the issue so they could determine the best course of action, and took plenty of time to explain to me what they planned to do. The game plan was to polish out the glass, removing the garbage coating the dealership applied, and then recoat with a quality windshield coating.The results were spectacular! I’ve driven the car in rain, sleet and snow, and can see clearly in bad weather for the first time since buying the car. FINALLY, someone was able fix this! Even though this job wasn’t the most expensive service, they treated me and my car like they would a high end job, because you can tell they care about the quality of their work, big or small. I was completely impressed with every aspect of their service and work, and will definitely be back!

Words cant begin to describe how great this place is! I brought my 2013 Dodge Dart GT in last week (3/27/15) for an estimate on having a few small dents taken out of my hood. He took a look at the work and was confident that it would be no problem to get fixed, so we set up an appointment for me to come back today (4/3/15). I arrived at 1pm and within half an hour the dents were gone, and the price I paid was exactly what I was quoted the week before (a very fair price btw)! I opted for the application of 2 layers of CQuartz Finest and I was blown away by the glossiness and uniform smoothness. It was a total transformation. They should have pictures floating around to prove it, just ask. It looked better than new, literally. All of the subtle spider-webbing in the paint was gone. I couldnt find a single imperfection, and believe me, I tried. Now this was a reapplication of Finest (the first one was done at another shop and wasnt NEARLY as good) and boy could I tell the difference when all was said and done. Night and day. Arete knows their product extremely well and they deliver. These guys are passionate about what they do and it shows in their work. I am bringing my WRX back here when its time for another coating or two in a few years.

Arete was a fantastic spot to bring my baby. I bought a used rx8 cheap and it looked exactly like that. Used. When I went to arete I was a bit skeptical but after getting the base package done the rx8 looked better than new. An 11 year old car with zero time spent in a garage was looking immaculate! The shine has stayed for almost 3 months now and Ill definitely be bringing all my babys by after winter!

I couldnt say enough good things about the guys at Arete and the work they do. The first time I called I ended up talking to Jon for almost 2 hours before I realized I might be missed at work and should go... these guys love cars, they love their work, and it shows through the customers experience.Being a person who is quite particular about their vehicles, I was initially hesitant to even bring my car in, but now, after having the guys work on my car several times, I can honestly say that I wouldnt go anywhere else. Not only do they do phenomenal work, but they stand by it. After one of my coating services I had issues with wiper chatter - Arete didnt rest until the issue was resolved, and even went above and beyond and found another solution for windshield water repellent that didnt cause an issue with the wipers at no extra charge.Dont let their website fool you either, they may have a lot of very expensive and exotic cars in their shop, but this is a group of car lovers who sees just as much awesome in an old Volvo 240 or a Toyota Rav4 converted to run on Tesla Motors than they do in a Lamborghini or Ferrari. They put just as much effort into a well worn Ford Taurus as they will a brand new M3.If youre in the market for any sort of detail, wash or coating, do yourself a favor and at least give them a call and see what they offer - you surely wont be disappointed.

Dogs, dogs go in and out and in and out and in and out of my truck, then I woke up to go to work one day.. And resized my brand new truck was an absolute disaster.. I have a black interior and a white dog. Im pretty sure I could have built another dog with the amount of hair in my truck. So I called around and found arete. To be perfectly honest the price worried me a little bit at first, but when I pulled into their shop I was given a full evaluation of what their plan of attack was. Ill leave out the middle of the story but when I picked my truck up at the end of the day my only reaction was wow I literally was at a loss for words with what these guys did with my interior. Absolutely blown away. The only downside to the job these guys did on my Interior is now I dont want to get in it, or let my dog in it, its just so perfect. It almost looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. And looks like it too. Not to mention the stains these guys removed for me, all in all I felt like I jipped them at the end of the day. If you ever need your interior brought to brand new restoration finish, dont call anyone but these guys. Clean, professional, honest work. They have all my business from now on.

There has not been a time I have visited these guys when their work has not amazed me. They have performed in depth washes and even coated my mk6 vw golf with their ceramic Cquartz finest coating. The coating makes caring for the car a dream and actually helps keep it clean much longer than it did when I used to simply wax it. From serious car enthusiasts to just an average person looking to clean up your ride, these are the right guys to see. I personally wouldnt trust anyone else more!
