I was so excited to sign up here. I went and tried out the gym and loved eveything about it. So much so I decided to take my free session with a personal trainer. As someone who is very careful with who they choose to share info with, this personal trainer was very kind and professional. I decided to sign up for personal training with him, believing he would be the one training me. Unfortunately it fell threw and after a week of no contact, i come to find out he no longer works there. And i am still required to pay the $385 a month for personal training. Even though the person and reason I signed up with is no longer there

I LOVE this gym, BUT - the womens area needs at least 1 Squat rack (get rid of at least 3 of the 10 freaking treadmills) AND they have 2 assault bikes in a private session room that they wont let anyone use... Ive been a member of this gym for 7 months now, and I have NEVER seen anyone use these bikes. Let us use the assault bikes!!ALSO, the employees who clean this place do an awesome job.

NEVER EVER JOIN, Worst management. My membership was only for 11 months, didnt use it for more than 45 days due to covid.They have your ideally expired in Jan 21, but they automatically put you on month to month membership ( management decides to continue just because they have your cards details)when I explicitly told them membership should be only for 11 months and then I decide whether to continue.Now so sweetly they say sorry we can reverse ur payments. Worst management dont join them. Im surprised they used this tactics on many customers .

This club makes you feel like you belong! Whether you are a serious weight lifter or a mom like me trying to live a healthier lifestyle, this place will help. Danna at the front desk always makes me feel welcome, she knows the answers to all my questions and always checks on me after a tough workout with words of encouragement, she even joins us in class when she can! The trainers, especially Jake, are next level, they take the time to learn what your goals are and then make a realistic plan with you! Jake always challenges me to do more than I think I can, all while maintaining a safe and supportive atmosphere. Keep up the great work guys!

Will never join edge fitness or any gym that is managed by ABC fitness. Signing up for the gym membership was a cake walk and took just 10 minutes, but when I had to cancel the plan this is what happened.1) I knew my contract was till September 14th 2021 and I wanted to cancel my plan after that, I was told that I cant initiate the cancellation process before September 14th.2) Went again on September 16th to cancel the plan and i was told to contact customer care because the gym doesnt deal with cancellation (Why didnt they mention this before)3) Called the customer care and they wanted me to send a written note for the cancellation process and after that they say i have to pay for October and the plan will be cancelled only from November because thats how the contract was made.During the pandemic when I was put in a pay cut I requested them to change my membership plan to a cheaper one as I was having hard time making ends meet and they said they cant do it because of the contract. Worst experience ever......

I started with you guys just over a month ago. Most of the staff is friendly but I am very fond of Danna. When it came to upgrading my account she was very helpful in assuring that I got everything I wanted for a decent price. She is also very attentive to any possible needs I may have at my time of working out. Matt is also very helpful and patient. Would definitely renew my membership.Price, equipment variation and closed off womens gym for those who are uncomfortable. Tanning and massage available all for not much money in comparison to other gyms. Location is perfect for me.

One of the better gyms at the given price range.One can nitpick and see they are missing a couple of machines here and there, but overall, it is well rounded and well equipped.The Edge Cinema is a particularly interesting addition you wouldnt find in most other gym.I just wish they opened on Sundays -- I personally enjoy my Sunday workouts...

Ive been to a few different gyms and i like this one a lot. EXTREMELY CLEAN. Welcoming staff, big facility, lots of equipment, both free weights and machines, and a pretty good shake bar. There are different level memberships. The price reflects what you get.When its busy it can get pretty packed, but for the most part i can still get a good workout in, if somethings taken its not usually that long before it opens up.

I go there all the time. Gym you know, but about the EDGE fitness is they know their game plan and executing it perfectly.

Ive read a lot of the reviews and it seems unfair that people are blaming a specific location on things such as Covid and contracts...I go REGULARLY. The staff always says hello and asks how my day is going. However, I will admit some staff are more outgoing and friendly then others but thats common pretty much every where. There is always a cleaning staff working, they have wipes, spray and paper towels, and hand sanitizer all over. When masks were mandatory for all to wear I watched them walk around and go up to people to make sure they were wearing their masks. They also had every other machine taped off. As for the other guests, they too have been kind and helpful. I have a disability and randomly ask for ppl to put my hair up and Ive never had anyone be rude or disrespectful. The girls at the front desk also help me with this this when needed. The same goes if I need help out on the gym floor. In fact, theyve all been friendly and more than willing to help. I also havent seen any women be disrespected by what they are wearing our how they are working out.No place is every going to be perfect and you cant control everyone but from my experience, things have been pretty dang good.

I am currently moving to Michigan from San Diego. I am checking out multiple gyms in the area. I was greeted by Kelsie as I walked in. Her friendly demeanor and sense of excitement to show me around made me feel very welcome.She never rushed me, gave me lots of information and showed me every square foot of the place. She explained what went on, what classes were available, what extras were available, and after her tour I said, “sign me up!”I had been to several gyms in the area, but Kelsie & her enthusiasm & sales technique sold me. I love the hours. At one time the music was a pick from all eras making it interesting and very accommodating but it seems only one style of music is played constantly. I would like a variety again.

See to many people walking around with facemasks down. Staff does not seem to enforce any mask safety. Watch staff turn a blind eye to it every time. Makes me wish I could cancel my membership because safety here is not a concern to them. I pay 60 a month for two memberships and cant get out of them even though I have inquired.Update 2/24/21 I walked out on to the floor to see multiple staff members with no mask on at all. They were just sitting at the trainers desk. I honestly am very excited to switch to Life time fitness across the road when my contract is up. Clearly safety is not a concern. Multiple cleaning stations with no cleaning products. I would have to walk around doing the staffs job. I want to work out not go around policing other members.Posted photos but Im sure they will be removedAlso they removed mask mandate for vaccinated members but will not be checking for records.

They won’t let me cancel my membership. I can’t work out with a mask on. It was nice at first when I could put my membership on hold. Masks aren’t going away anytime soon. It is a waste of money. I’m paying for something I can’t use.

This club doesn’t enforce Covid mask wearing. A man at the front desk had a mask not covering his nose, from my vantage point I could see at least three people not covering their mouth and nose, and at least a dozen not covering their nose.At least if you don’t enforce mask wearing be honest about it - don’t say you enforce it when it’s blatantly obvious that you don’t.It’s a shame as apart from this the gym would definitely get 5 stars. But given Michigan is now one of the worst hit states for COVID this is a big deal.

Edge Fitness Club in Rochester Hills has been quite unprofessional and difficult to work with. For 7 months they were closed due to the pandemic, now that they have reopened they no longer offer daycare. Weve patiently tried to make them understand that we can no longer use their service since we have children to look after and without daycare it is pretty difficult for us to manage to attend. They say over the phone that everything is fixed in terms of closing our account and yet, we keep receiving a call every two weeks warning about the charges accumulating. Cant wait to go back to Life Time Fitness, much better service.

You should be open 24 hours on everyday because that place looks so awesome!

Well I used to love working out here, however now I would not recommend this place to anyone. Put my membership on hold as I will not lift heavy things or do cardiovascular activity while restricting my breathing (aka wearing a piece of cloth over my face). I was told I could put my membership on hold until I was able to workout without said restriction. Apparently that meant I needed to call every month and re-freeze the membership, which you actually are only allowed to do 3 times and then you get charged your full fee, unless you have a doctors note explaining why you are not working out with oxygen deprivation devices on your face. The gentleman then told me I was out of luck as far as recouping the last two months where I was charged despite having put everything on a freeze, and that I shouldve checked my email for more information. Garbage policies, garbage all around. I have two gyms that I visit that believe in being able to breathe, no need to waste your time with this place.

Not really happy with how they handle canceling personal training. I was told that if I didn’t like it that I can cancel and I just felt really pushed into doing personal training sessions. I’m not really liking this place

Edge fitness are fully money minded. I am keep paying monthly fees without using gym and they are not canceling my membership as well and I saw today they changed $49.9. When I called them they said it’s enhancement fees, no one has told us initially. I visited personally to cancel membership but they are not willing to do that as well. I am not going to gym since almost 1 year but keep paying every month. Completely disappointing and worst management.

Its a good all around fitness center with a variety of equipments for all levels. I will not recommend this gym if you are a complete beginner as the trainers are not good enough but if you have been working out for a while and know how to use equipments and exercises then this is the perfect gym for you.

If I could give this facility is zero points I would. For starters extremely unprofessional when you ask for a manager or even a district manager to give you a call about a concern you will never get a callback. Even the resident agent on Lara won’t even call you back. Save yourself the trouble and go to a gym that does not require a 12-month contract. The only way you can possibly Cancel your contract is to get a doctors note and even when you get a doctors note they still won’t cancel your membership because they will tell you the doctor needs to specifically state for how long you can’t attend the gym for which is a violation of your privacy and medical. Lastly, be sure to check each and every month statement as their charges very extreme fraud at its finest!

This place is absolutely awesome! Seems too good to be true frankly. Nicest gym I’ve been a member at and the cost is shockingly low. Amanda was extremely friendly, helpful and prompt in returning my call, getting me in for a tour and getting me signed up. Theatre and sauna are included in the basic membership, simply put, you just can’t beat this place in terms of quality and price.

Very nice gym! Staff is amazing. Started coming in December and it has been the best choice. Mike the membership advisor was nice, as well as the front desk staff. I believe their names were Micah and Drew that helped me over the phone and when I got to the gym! Would recommend to others.

I called today to set up an appointment for a tour of the new facility andAmanda took my call. She answered the phone with such enthusiasm that it made me more eager to visit. This place is absolutely AMAZING and the staff members were so accommodating and friendly. I sure do hope this culture remains a constant. The location is ideal because I live within walking distance and the membership cost was definitely affordable. An ENORMOUS shout out goes to Amanda for demonstrating superlative customer service today! She meticulously explained every single detail of each membership and what the best course of action would be for me. She was able to customize a membership to fit my needs and one of the general managers (Sorry I forgot his name) explained the classes offered which made the deal even sweeter. Edge Fitness has more than enough to do and we will enjoy every square inch. Great job guys and thank you to Eric and Quentin for their friendliness as well.

I absolutely love it!!! I had a membership at LA fitness and Planet fitness and LET ME TELL YOU edge fitness is way better than both combined! The staff is sooo friendly and polite which is #1 for me! Customer service is everything.. Its very affordable for college students and you get what you need to build muscles and tone your body for just $10! Definitely an easy 5/5 stars.

Alright so I’ve been here since they’ve opened. I love it, I love the sauna, the equipment, the layout, majority of the people are friendly. I have seen other reviews where people felt employees were rude and I too have thought that a few times, but I’m trying to cut them slack because it’s chaotic but, I agree with other reviewers, a lot of the front desk folks seem to act annoyed when you ask them questions...Here’s what’s kind of annoying to me... they close at 7pm on a Saturday because they do “deep cleaning”. I’ve been in on Sunday morning and Saturday morning early from their Friday clean and nothing was impressively clean to close thatttt early on Saturday. I mean 9pm is a little reasonable.Also, tanning. Not one employee knows what the heck they are doing. Not one. Everyone gives a different answer, I’ve been in the wrong room, the (stand up) tanning beds are kind of gross. It makes me want to go back to planet just to tan because of how easy it is to do there, however that’s also inconvenient, so hopefully everyone here can get on the same page of how to work the tanning rooms..Other than those few things, which I felt were important enough to review about, this is a pretty awesome gym, great price point, and I feel comfortable here. Hopefully the cleanliness doesn’t start to really lack in the locker rooms over time...

Awesome gym however, the sauna in the mens locker room is mediocre at best. I switched from retro and this was one of my selling points, better hours and a sauna. The temperature is just way too low. I shouldnt have to sit in there for 45 minutes at a time to finally start breaking a good sweat. I also do wish the weekend hours were open a little bit later or this schedule just didnt exist at all and would be 24 hours all the time. My workouts are random and sometimes I do enjoy working out late at night and the weekend hours trip me up sometimes. Anyways, love the layout, love the equipment, and the staff is super friendly and cool.

Great gym with good potential although it suffers from the issue of management keeping the temperature in the gym extremely cold no matter what time of the year with AC and a bunch of huge fans. This is unacceptable in a gym. We’re here to sweat as this is a natural function of the human body when exercising and not to mention we’re more prone to injury in a cold environment while exercising.Managers of edge, if you’re reading this then please consider letting the gym be less cool all year round. This is a quality gym. Focuses on the beginner but also has equipment for the most experienced lifters. Some interesting amenities here there is a movie theatre loaded with cardio equipment, saunas, separate rooms for classes, and a section dedicated to women off limits to men. This gym is very clean and the equipment here is safe and effective. The memberships range from $10-$30 you get more bells and whistles for the more expensive ones.

Beaware before you sign a contract with Edge Fitness. They will make sure to charge you 12 months fee ($300-$400) for the services that wont be provided to you for cancelling the membership.*Yes, I’ve read the contract prior to signing that the only exceptions without the penalty are relocation of 25 miles or greater or receiving a doctor’s note.2 Reasons why this contract should be amended.1)Doctors are busy curing the patients whom maybe very ill or close to death, im not going to schedule an appointment just to bother them how psychologically challenging it is for me to go to the gym amidst this rise of COVID cases when their focus/skills are vital to be on the real patients.2)This contract penalty wave of doctors notes and 25 miles have been written far before 2020 (Pre-Global Pandemic). In other words, the verbiage on here can be significantly outdated and may require a revisit due to not having COVID included in their contract scenario.For whom it may concern, you need to call the gym every month to keep your membership frozen, because quote on quote the customer service manager had said “we dont have enough people to manager keeping customers account frozen each month” To this I replied, “well keep the accounts frozen unless the customers call you to unfreeze the account”. Then the manager implied ‘who are you to tell me what to do, you’re just a customer’ I’m not changing the policy just for you. (so here I am, writing in the public so that I can speak on behalf of other people who are thinking the same)In short, Edge Fitness does not appreciate hearing from the customers in the world where the businesses are growing to be customer centered. Edge Fitness needs to reconsider its contracts or provide flexibility or hear out customers’ feedback. My pre-pandemic experience with Edge was 5/5 stars, today it is worse than the notorious LA Fitness.

I cancelled my Planet Fitness membership the day this gym opened. I go almost every other day and I love all of it! The instructors and other staff are so friendly and helpful. I can go in and people remember my name.. it doesnt make me feel like Im just going to a gym, it makes me feel like Im really a part of something. Ive done a number of classes and have enjoyed every one of them. The instructors really push you, and they help people modify their workouts if theyre unable to do something, so that they can still participate. I usually dont shower at gyms but its a nice touch having a separate area for your gym bag in the shower. Theres a splash guard blocking a bench so I dont have to run across the locker room to grab my bag. Overall, a great gym!!

Went in to see all I had been hearing about. This place is amazing. So many different aerobic machine choices. The movie room looks very cool. Space for all different types of workout and classes. Workers were extremely friendly and helpful even on grand opening day when they were swamped. Glad they are in our area!!

Entire staff is really cool and welcoming to everyone at all stages in their fitness journey from beginner to advanced. Eric was awesome and super helpful, appreciate the hospitality and welcoming me to my new gym!

Make sure you read your contract and know what it entails especially with how your membership works. Other than that, the facility is nice and the atmosphere is great.

Like the gym, dislike the personal training program. In less than 1 month, my first two trainers quit...they refuse to refund my money since the make you prepay. Additionally, they schedule you for half hour training sessions, which are pointless. We use the gym, but have personal trainers elsewhere that are more qualified and half the price.

The best I have ever seen.Latest cardio equipment. A large variety to select from.4 flat bench press. 4 Olympic squat rack platforms.Dumbbells that go up to 125 pounds.

This is a really nice gym, especially for the price. New and clean equipment, the locker rooms are never dirty either. The biggest and only complaint I have is that there are no towels or paper towels in the locker rooms. Got a face and body full of sweat??? Use your shirt to wipe it off I guess. Come on now.

I would never recommend this gym to anyone specifically the Rochester Hills location. I was online browsing potentially signing up and somehow the order processed, signed me up, and I was charged. I contacted the gym and spoke with their sales manager Kori and advised him that I had never been to their gym nor signed up. He told me that there was nothing he can do and had to pay for the year for a membership I did not sign up for and never have been to. I asked him to look into it as I never signed up and he said he would. He never called back and I had to call three times to reach him for him to tell me basically oh well, we cannot do anything. He was very unprofessional and not helpful at all. I am now dealing with my bank to dispute the charges, since the sales manager basically told me too bad and wants me to pay $300 plus dollars for a membership I never signed up for.Very unprofessional, clearly a scam, and money hungry. Definitely not a gym I ever want to be apart of or associated with.

Im really impressed as a new member. Been there twice so far, and found it to be clean, functional, up to date fitness equipment too! Co-worker show enthusiasm and were very attentive as well, which is great for any business.

Last week I came in and got a tour done by Olivia. Today I joined.The facility is much bigger than it eludes to online and has a lot more equipment than I expected. Everything is new and most machines have TVs on them that you can connect your phone to via Bluetooth. The coolest part for me is the movie theatre room where I can enjoy my runs on the treadmill and the turf that allows a different training experience. It’s also extremely affordable for everything you get!There was one misunderstanding about one of the promotion deals that lured me in and ended up not being offered. However, it was taken care of within minutes by Eric (manager) and Kayla (admin). Overall, I’m extremely pleased with the service I’ve gotten in the short time I’ve been here and I now look forward to my workouts! Planet fitness, look out! ;)

I completely agree with the poor reviews about customer service. I was supposed to have an appointment with Mike, which also included a day pass. When I showed up, he wasnt there and the person that assist me signed me in and thats it. The different memberships werent explained and no attempt was made to get me to join. I would have liked to have seen the womens only area. The only reason Im considering joining is the gyms proximity to where I live. If it werent for that, I would join Planet Fitness.

Veryyyyy nice gym, all new everything went just for like a free workout to see how it was but this gym is way better then the gym I’m at right now way better also the employee there her name was Amanda she had excellent service she gives you a tour of the facility and in depth with the tour real nice lady also made it super easy to sign up real high energy and good positive vibe all the workers there are real nice and welcoming also the guy Quentin was a a very big help as well he made the first experience day experience wonderful, if you have a different gym membership cancel it NOW, they will get your right at edge fitness hands down .

I found out about this gym today, and I signed up immediately! The turf, cinema, and women’s gym area make it unique. Looking forward to the spin and group exercise classes.

Great gym with lots of available equipment! Very nice and knowledgeable staff. A great addition to the Rochester area!

Their reps came to our office and said they were having a promotion and I could hold a tentative place as a founder member. Prior to opening, they called several times to confirm. Prior to this, my office was located in troy, and since my business has moved to sterling heights, and I have moved to my clemens, making in impractical for me to use the membership at all. I had told each rep that I could not be a member and they said it was all taken care of. Months later I find I am still being charged after several phone calls. Now they want me to provide proof of my address change to cancel. The manager showed zero care or concern. Probably because they do this regularly. I am familiar with these practices and had asked these reps that if I did not want to join, could I opt out. Every time they called me to verify my membership prior, I told them no. Go anywhere but here

Excellent facility. Great staff. They have all the equipment you could ask for. They could order a deadlift jack which would make deadlifts much easier 😬

Great place for working out. They have everything you need to workout.

I have basic membership, comes with cardio cinema, sauna and the normal stuff like freeweights, machines etc. Unbeatable pricing, clean facilities, long hours, what more could I ask for?Shakes are good too.

Nice modern gym just needs a extra water fountain

I lost my credit card on New Years so I had to put it on hold. I came in to pay a cash a couple days later and they couldn’t figure out what I owed for a late fee. I got my card back and was charged a $30 late fee for’a few days. My membership is only $10 a month!

I wasnt sure if i was going to sign up but after speaking with Olivia, I am convinced this is the right gym for me. I am excited for the opening!
