All I can say is WOW and Thank You!! what a great job these guys did. We have been hosting an event on the Friday before the dream cruise for over 10 years and making the switch to Rochester Event and Equipment for our tent tables and chairs helped to make it the best every. Thanks again

Absolutely amazing!! Tent, tables and chairs were perfect! Very sturdy and high quality. Tent was delivered early and rented the sides with it. Set up staff was very nice, respectful and courteous. Would definitely rent again and highly recommend for future parties!!

Rented scaffolding and had a very good experience. I under calculated and they were able to deliver another level before I finished my project. Everyone I spoke with was cheerful and professional.

I wish I could rate this place -30. Very disappointing. Tent was delivered so dirty,. When I complained, I was told I would better to cancel the order ( three days before the event). I did not have an option than taking the tent from this place. Finally tent was washed and was installed a day before my event. Still was not clean enough.The rectangular table were broken and when I asked to change them, I was told there were none. Although I reserved the tent and other rentals two months in advance. paid over $850, BUT I WISH I rented from some other place. The tent looked so so cheap.We had to clean the chair ourselves as they were not clean.I definitely DO NOT recommend this place to my friends and families. It is waste of money and a lot of stress and headache.

I picked up chaffing dishes early for my event. They were in grey tote bins that were dirty. When I looked at the chaffing ware at home, I am glad I picked it up early. They were filthy and I had to scrub them in my bathtub. They didn’t match but they should have been clean knowing that food is to be served in them.

There is a reason this place doesnt have a 5 star review. I rented 2 porta potties, 3 marine sized coolers, an ice chest, 2 bag toss games, and a giant Jenga. The porta potties were to be delivered on Friday and I only received one. Rochester party rental is the middle man to the porta potty company- the porta potty company was more helpful getting the additional one here than they were. Plus I had rochester refund my money for the uncoordinated porta potty and saved money by going directly through the potty company. I ended up arranging the other porta potty because I waited for an hour for Rochester to call me back and they didnt even apologize for the miscommunication (even though he claimed that he did). On Friday, the delivery date for the rest of my items, they didnt call me all day until 8:45pm to let me know that they werent going to be there until 11pm. After voicing my dissatisfaction, the owner ( I think, Dan) not only failed to apologize again, he says theres nothing I can do about that, do you want me to drop off the items or not? I said still bring them because we werent going to be at the delivery site all day the next day(the day of the event). So after not calling all day, and then telling me 11, they ended up showing up at MIDNIGHT. We are over here trying to be rested for our wedding the next day but we had to stay up to accommodate their very unprofessional drop off times and lack of flexibility. Its Tuesday now and they still havent come to pick up their stuff. When I called to ask when they were coming he said 6 or 7 so Im assuming it will be after 8 or 9 oclock. I again voiced my dissatisfaction with them and he really didnt care that he had inconvenienced me TWICE. He said there is not much more we need to talk about. In my eyes, you got everything you needed and Im not sure what else you want from me. Ok, maybe a proper apology and just a dash of professionalism. Dont go with them- soooo beyond rude. Also make sure you go directly through a porta potty company because Rochester will upcharge you a good amount just for being the middle man that cant even coordinate properly with the other companies. On top of the terrible customer service, they told me that the marine sized coolers were huge and 3 would be plenty for 100 people. Nope, they are just regular sized coolers and should have gotten 2 more. The porta potty that was delivered wasnt even the one I had reserved and Im sure I would have been charged more for the more expensive one if it wasnt for the mistake they made. They lost a customer and I will make sure to voice to whomever is asking for recommendations that they are not good, very unprofessional and any other company is better than them.

Technically I didn’t get to use their equipment, but this review is for their business practice as, the employee on the phone flat out REFUSED to rent me a toilet snake for a problematic toilet in my house. Asked very condescending questions “Have you tried plunging it?” And when I assured him that Yes, I did know what I was doing, still refused on the grounds that I would “damage my toilet”. FYI: Home Depot will rent them for $11, were very helpful and the equipment worked like a charm.

Pricing was good. The communication in the *beginning* was good, and the quality and look of chairs were good. The delivery was just under 2 hours late, according to the time I was given in an email. The time of our wedding ceremony was listed incorrectly in the email too, even though I corrected this on the phone before the day of the event.The man I spoke with on the phone, while I think he was trying to be kind, was a bit snippy with me the day of delivery. He said his guy can set up the chairs for us to accommodate the late delivery (after I requested) then later said this would not be possible because they were behind. Our friends pulled through and set up for us, so all ended well. I would recommend this company to others even though our experience was not great, but I would suggest you say your event is much earlier than it is, considering I am not the first person to leave a negative review regarding delivery and communication.

Used this company for an outdoor event. Price/package was great for tent, tables, and chairs. There were issues with delivery & communication, but the owner made it right for us in time. Would recommend!

I called a couple days ago to reserve tables and chairs for my daughters birthday. The man on the phone assured me I didn’t need to reserve any, that I could just come pick them up the day of my party. so I called To prepay for them Today so I could go pick them up, and the lady I spoke to told me they had no stock. Apparently the man I spoke to didn’t feel like doing his job and just reserve the tables for me so I would be able to actually have them for today... he reassured me several times that they would be available. Very unprofessional. I’ll definitely never call them again and I’m glad I didn’t waste my money funding this business.

Used them for my daughter’s grad party. Great service and wonderful employees! Driver even mentioned that he didn’t want to pull up my driveway because their truck was leaking and didn’t want to get anything on our driveway! We had to postpone the party the day of due to my daughter’s illness, and they accommodated us without hesitation. They cleaned the tent after set up, and were very gracious. Would highly recommend this company, and we will use them in the future!

Very disappointed in our rental of Tent, table, chairs ...for our grad. party. Our party was last Sunday, we received a call that our delivery would be the Friday prior (took the day off, since we ordered set-up and some tables were being set-up inside the house). At 6pm Friday we were finally told delivery would take place on Saturday (after numerous phone calls to them that Friday). At 6pm Saturday the tent was delivered, only to find out it was filthy (they noted it missed the wash process). They did take it back to wash and re-delivery was 10am Sunday. That morning I was told I could not have the all white table skirts I had ordered 1 year prior to the date of our party. The blue replacement skirts were also dirty. Chairs had to be washed down by my husband (we had other things to finalize that morning - we really didnt need to deal with everything above). I would think this type of business would have better time management and check off processes... especially when it comes down to having items that were ordered a year in advance. Everything worked out in the end, we had a very nice party. Just wish we had better customer service. We will definitely find a different rental company for our graduate next year and and in 2021.

Ordered a 20x40 frame tents with plastic flooring, was delivered on time and everything was very clean. The delivery crew was very helpful as to where the tent should go and how I wanted the side walls placed. Also I would recommend getting black table covers for right foot tables as they aren’t as easy to see threw as white kiwi covers

This was the worst rental place ever. First they mess up the days I needed the tables and chairs then secondly mess up the color. I thought the worst was over but then I had to call them three times on the day they said they were delivering to find out when they would drop them off at our venue. They did not show up until almost 9pm at night when I was told earlier in the day they’d be there BEFORE 4pm. Before they even delivered my maid of honor had to have a full blown argument with a guy named Dan who I believe is the owner of this establishment and tell him he had to deliver them since we needed them for MY WEDDING. Instead of listening to her, the client he goes on to say I only paid for a one day rental. Which was incorrect and I paid for two days. He then proceeded to say that he was “being nice” and letting me have the tables and chairs for extra days that I didn’t pay for. Also INCORRECT. His employee Danielle is who told me I could have the tables and chairs Thursday and picked up Sunday. Their website doesn’t even allow for me to pay for more than two days or else I would have. They delivered the most disgusting tables and chairs I have ever seen and not to mention the tables were ALL broken. Thankfully we had a few people at our venue that semi fixed them so my guests could use them to eat their dinner on. They delivered white tables and chairs when I needed black chairs. If I had black chairs at least you wouldn’t of seen all the gross stains they had. Instead of my wedding being nice and enjoyable I had to hope my guests wouldn’t comment on how awful the tables and chairs were. Completely dissatisfied and have spread the word to EVERYONE on social media. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. AWFUL OWNER AND VERY RUDE

We rented padded folding chairs for a small backyard party and were very satisfied! Booking with the pleasant staff was easy and the chairs were dropped off promptly by very nice employees. The chairs were very clean and didn’t even need to be wiped down! They were the perfect touch to our party and I will be booking all my parties with Rochester event equipment rentals! A+++

Thankfully I only rented some chairs, but they were absolutely filthy! We had to take a great deal of precious time before our party to wipe every inch of each chair! I certainly wont be renting from them in the future!

They do not give reasonable appointment time for install or pickup and expect customers to have all the flexibility to accommodate their wide open timing. They refused to give us a couple hours window for installation until the day of installation and when we called they day off they still did not know .... they said around 1 they came after 4We needed the tent for one day only and they left it in our way for over a weekChairs and tables are beaten up.....Very expensive for such old equipment ....Poor managementHigh pricesHard working installers (looks like high schoolers being taken advantage off).I would not use them again.

Just had a conversation with Dan about my upcoming event. Dan knows his business and takes pride in the expertise he brings to “the party .”Felt I needed to say thank you to Dan and recognize his commitment to what he does because there are fewer of us in the world who really care about our customers and what we do for them.

The guys who work here are so friendly and really made my moving easy! The one man also gave us discounts and was so nice! They also gave us all suckers! :) Ive dealt with these guys multiple times in the last month since I moved twice and helped someone else move, I wont go anywhere else! :)Thanks for making my move easier guys!

I rented a tent, tables and chairs for a grad party. first let me say the tent was filthy and the tables were infested with earwigs. thousand of earwigs not just a few. I gave them specific instructions on charging the deposit and final.payment. they ignored my instructions and charged the card I intended only to use for the deposit. I got a bank charge for overdraft. I called and complained and was told they r too busy and too tired at the end of a long day to remember what everyone wants them to do. Bad place to rent from in my opinion. unless you like all of the above. super unprofessional.

This company has horrible communication. The only time that I ever got the information that I needed from them was when I called. I gave them the same information, as the event that I needed supplies for was located at someone elses house. I told them MULTIPLE TIMES to call me first, and I would work with the homeowner to make sure someone was there for pickup/delivery. The only times that they called me, was when I called to check on the status of a delivery or pickup. Regardless of what I told them on the phone, each time I spoke with them, it was as though no one knew what was going on. This is definitely NOT a company that I would ever rent from again. I shouldnt have to reach out to you for communication. If you cant make it on my scheduled delivery/pickup date, then you should be responsible for calling me, especially because the items were not located at MY HOME, which I had told them every time I talked to them. Regardless of when I called, I spoke to the same person, but they never seemed to know what was going on when I called them. Very unorganized, and Im just thankful that they delivered in time for my event to happen. Never using this company again, ever.

Rented a Craps table from them in 2016 for a Bachelor party. They delivered to the hall and worked with us to pick up from our home. Great experience and great price. Dont understand the bad reviews they got. I have nothing but praise.

Our rental situation required a substantial amount of detail due to city codes and regulations. Dan was very knowledgeable and able to help guide us through the process and understand how coordinate compliance with the city department.

Delivery and set up was on time but everything was filthy. and they took their time to come back and pick everything up. in the mean time the tent blew down. glad nobody was under it at the time!!!! not pleased. going with a different company for my second sons grad party

I would not recommend using Rochester Rental(Rochester Event & Equipment Rental) at all. They double booked their chairs and tables and wanted to pick them up early on Sunday after my brothers wedding. They were only supposed to get the chairs and come back for the tables later in the day after we had cleared the tables for them. They cut corners, and decided to take all the center pieces and table cloths off themselves and throw them on the floor in the corner, breaking some of the decorations and center pieces. Also, they decided to open up a cooler with food in it, cut a piece of cake for themselves from the top tier of the wedding cake that was being saved for the bride and grooms first anniversary. That is now ruined. All they had were excuses and said they had great employees. Doesnt sound so great, does it?

I rented a U haul to move from Rochester to Troy. They never told me when I made the appointment or when I picked up the truck that it needed to be back in 4 hours because they rented it to someone else. I got my keys 3 hours after the pickup and somehow made it back, but they were uncompromising and rude.
