When we asked if we pay at that desk or up front he showed us the flyer that said you are offering that service to the public! How thoughtful and very much appreciated!
Twice Ive come here and made purchases where Thomas was the cashier. Both times, when it came to the point where you choose the type of receipt, he reaches his arm and selects Print Only. This is obviously an option that OfficeMax wants the customer to have, and Thomas is avoiding having to do extra work. When I asked for a digital receipt, he froze, he obviously has never had a customer call him out because he had NO IDEA what to do. I told him to void the sale and lets try again. He proceeded to do that and in the end.....STILL NO DIGITAL RECEIPT, he proceeded and said it didnt wanna take your E-mail. I actually walked out frustrated and scanned the receipt myself when I got home. They fade away quite often when I need them in the future, so having a digital option is actually beneficial for the customer. Poor work ethic, Thomas!
I went to the store last month and printed a blue print sheets 2x3 using my flash drive, last night I went there doing the same but the girl there said sorry we turned off the computers - knowing that theres anoth15 min to store close!-so, I went there today mid day, they said sorry you should order online! were not allowed to use the USB in store for large prints!! I said but I did that last month! plus I tried to order online last night, it gave me 6:00 pm to pick it up!!! while I need it around 2 pm!The girl and the manager - which is a girl too- where not helpful at all!! beside they werent doing anything!! i.e. not busy! I have a small business company (drafting company) I could use their service all the time specially theyre located near my house! but with this rudeness and laziness of this store, they lose me as customer and will NEVER recommend it to anybody!! I would rather to drive more to FEDEX store than come to this store which theyll close soon if they stay lazy like this!!

I have given this store 3 opportunities to redeem themselves. There are never enough workers. Ive stood in back by the print center waiting for help and no acknowledgement from a passing worker. I have had to try to track down people to help. I have sent in print requests online for items to be printed on different types of paper. They were all printed on the same paper. I wont be back.
Great place for buying ink, especially if you are a rewards member and use coupons received through the mail and apply to their low prices. (Buy the multi-packs) They have a great supply of school and office supplies, and we got our desk chair from them. Always has good parking available. Checkout sometimes takes a little longer than expected, but its worth the visit.

Needed help, that is why going there rather order at Amazon. Got no service, only frustrated and not willing to work employees. Asked for help several time, either I got told their staff is on lunch, over the time already. When leaving, five people were in the corner back office chatting and having fun. With this attitude Office Max would be better closing the shop as the employees are not willing to work and customers are getting frustrated and not coming back. There is no point visiting this store...
DO NOT PURCHASE EXTENDED WARRANTYDo NOT purchase extended warranties from this place. They do not have the staff available to help with your computer. I drove to three other stores and ended up having to by $129 online tech support to have someone talk me through fixing it myself on line.
I dont own a working printer and I very rarely use one to begin with so when I do need to print I either go to OfficeMax or Staples. At least at the locations I go to, the associates at OfficeMax are way more welcoming. I walked in and needed 1 copy of a logo I made onto an 8.5x11 shipping label. No problem and they had me out the door in 15 minutes. The guy who was at print made sure I was happy with the work and was very polite. The self serve machines all worked if I needed them and it was just a great experience. The Staples that I go to in Rochester however always has their self serve machines down and the older associate at print services is off putting and hectic. I seemed to be an inconvenience to him. Not at OfficeMax.

Well stocked store that is conveniently located in a large shopping complex. Lots of free parking. Employees were helpful, and there are customer restrooms on site.
I went to the print center and they were horrible. It was one girl thatvqas working while the other two sat an just looked bored. She was printing stuff, helping a lady, and assisted me all at the same time. That girl gets 10 stars but the others need better customer service
Very hostile customer service in the printing department. I got helped by the manager in printing, since I asked what I needed it seemed as if they were being bothered to help me. They refused to print a single sheet of paper unless I gave them and additional 25% when it looked like they weren’t doing much when I got there. She charged me a dollar over a .71 cent page then she didn’t tell me that it was a fee to cut the page so she added an additional .39 cents.
Prices are a little elevated, but I always find what I need at this Office Max. A few more service people in the aisles would be nice, but the aisles are well marked. I never have a problem.
Employees were friendly and we were able to find our items quickly.
I went to print something and they didnt warn me to use custom setting, as it is hidden within another setting for what I wanted. The people ended up telling me I was being charged for both copies.
The service was just a little lean, with us waiting a minute for our office chair to be brought out. But the deal was great, and the free 2 year warranty made up for it.

The website said the store had 2 items in inventory but there were none on the shelf. I inquired of the staff if they had more and it took a ridiculous amount of time for them to answer this rather simple question. Overall, the hassel of dealing with the incompetent staff was more costly than any sale savings. Ill stick to Amazon in the future

I am writing this while standing in line waiting to checkout. I am waiting for the second cash register to reboot. The register clerks are running about putting out other emergencies. One customer is waiting for the store manager. I wont be returning to this location.
