I initially took my fiancees 2013 Volkswagen Passat to Schumacher Volkswagen on Northlake Blvd for an oil change, and a service engine light (out of warranty). I was told it would be $1,780 because I had a cooling fan that needed to be replaced, as well as a broken radiator support core. I told them to hold off. A friend of mine recommended Bowers garage so I took it in to have them take a look. After a day or so he called to let me know the cooling fan did need to be replaced, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with the radiator support core. Cost he said including labor he said was $650 or so, to which I said fine, take care of it. A few days later he called to notify me the car was ready, but that also it took him a little less labor time than he thought and was able to obtain the part for slightly cheaper so the cost would now be $590.00. As a fellow business owner, that speaks volumes to me about his ethics and customer service. For a service business to lower the price once its been agreed to is a rarity, especially an automotive repair facility. Ill be sure to take any future vehicle issues to Bowers.
