I went to The House of Hearing. Normally I go to another office but it is not available at this time. So I ended up at the Riverton office and seen Michaela who promptly took care of me and took care of my hearing aids. She quickly serviced them then went to the updates. She was very thorough and when I left I felt much better about my hearing aids. I have seen Michaela and Bennett and they both have been awesome. I am hearing things I never heard before in my life. Simple things that are taken for granted. Thank you for taking care of me. I was pleased to find out they also have an ENT office in conjunction with the hearing center. A one stop shop.

After a lifetime of very little hearing on one side, Liz fit me for my first set of hearing aids. Everything has gone incredibly well and seamless. Liz has simply been wonderful to work with. I had to get my hearing checked for work and decided to go into the house of hearing. Before the exam Josh looked inside my ears where I could see it on a TV screen. It was really cool but also super gross with the amount of wax build up I had. He spent the time to get me all cleaned up. I had a WALL of wax that was covering one ear completely. It was a weird feeling once it was out but I could finally hear! The test went great. A few months later I had some ear pain and called the office. Liz was willing to see me on a Saturday when she wasn’t working to make sure it wasn’t serious. The staff has gone above and beyond to help me feel like family. I have recommended them to all my family

My wife was just fitted for her new hearing aides. Liz was so helpful with choosing the right model for her and figuring out all the insurance information. Liz’s assistant was great too! I’m so glad they took such great care of her. She also loves the new Riverton location because it’s so close!

I am very impressed with the Riverton House Of Hearing!... and specifically Sam. I’m a veteran and can have my audiology needs taken care of for free. However I try to go the civilian route when financially possible. I decided to try the House Of Hearing and see what my insurance would cover and see if it wouldn’t cost me too much out of pocket. Sam set me up with a “demo” hearing aid and sat through quite a few appointments fine tuning the settings over the course of months while we waited to see what the insurance would cover and how much I’d have to pay. In the end I ultimately went twith the VA, but Sam told me to hold on to the demo until I had what I needed from the VA. He said they (The House Of Hearing) didn’t want me to be without hearing now that I’ve been with an aid for some time. Sam and the Riverton House Of Hearing truly care about their patients. I will be recommending everyone I know with audiology needs their way. I am flabbergasted at the kindness and caring they have shown me!Thank you Sam and the Riverton House Of Hearing family.

I have been totally satisfied with the service and support Dr Liz Hankins has provided me. She has introduced me to the Lyric hearing aids and I am thrilled that I can finally find a hearing aid that I do not have to do a thing with, that I will not have to take out when taking a shower, or when swimming. I am very impressed with the subscription approach which is unique apparently to the Lyric device which enables us to have as many hearing aids in the course of the year as necessary. That really is helpful for my continuity of service. I’ve had the opportunity of visiting with Dr. Hankins on a number of occasions now and must say that I’ve never seen her have an off day. She is always positive.

My Daughter kept telling me I needed to get my hearing tested and I resisted for a long time. She found House of Hearing close by in Riverton and made an appointment for me and all I can say is I wish I had gone sooner. McKay was so thorough testing my hearing, his instruction was clear and he set me up with very comfortable hearing aides that make a world of difference in my ability to hear. I highly, highly recommend going to see McKay for testing just to see if you would benefit from hearing aides.

I have switched to the House of Hearing because my husband went to them and the quality of follow up care was Unbelievable, I had been with someone else and never received the care that he had. They truly care about your hearing and not just about selling the hearing aids. Another nice perk is the free supplies. Batteries and filters can be pricy! Had a different brand of hearing aid and they just were not working very well. Was told about House of hearing and how they had helped another individual so I gave them a try. They are very professional, did several tests and programmed my new hearing aids over the first months to get the best results for me. I dont have 20 year old ears but these new hearing aids have really helped. I have gotten really dependent on them and cannot go without them any more. I would recommend House of Hearing for their excellent product, staff and service.

Mckay our audiologist here is perfect for all ages. He talks to us on a personal level about our concerns for my 10 year old, like how to keep being active with his new hearing aids. It was big adjustment to get hearing aids for my boy, and they helped make us comfortable. Our experience here has been great!

I am very pleased with my experience at House of Hearing in Riverton. Prior to going to House of Hearing I visited another vendor and had a very negative experience. From the moment I entered House of Hearing I could tell my experience was going to be better. McKay Kunz my tech could not have been more friendly or professional. He was interested in me and my needs and not just interested in selling me a hearing device. The first vendor I visited there office was not very clean, was shabby smelled bad and had no privacy. The tech was not interested in me as soon as I let him know I was not interested in purchasing the brand or model of aid he wanted to sell. At House of Hearing the facility was clean, inviting and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was taken to a private comfortable room and treated with respect and as a valued customer. I will definitely recommend House of Hearing to others.

I went to the house of hearing in Riverton to try one more time to see if I could help for the hearing loss in my left ear I was having so much trouble hearing and understanding being in large groups made it even worse.When I came in and spoke with. Doctor McKay he actually listened to the problems I was having and work with me to find the best hearing aid that would correct my problem I am so happy I can hear my grandchildren I can hear in the movies I can hear in large gatherings. I was pretty sure I had some hearing loss and I was a little apprehensive when I went to see the House of Hearing. After a very thorough hearing test McKay determined I was indeed suffering moderate to severe hearing loss. He walked me through all the options and even told me about why it was important to correct my hearing. In about an hour I walked out with a demo pair of hearing devices and within a day I knew my world was changed. What a fantastic experience.

Im on my way to getting my normal hearing back. Thanks Liz Hankins!My story: I woke up one morning in November with sudden hearing loss. I didnt think too much of it as I had this happen for 24 hours about a month earlier. One month passed and I saw a doctor, who mis-diagnosed the issue. Four months passed and another doctor mis-diagnosed the issue. Six months later and I bit the bullet to see an ENT, where we discovered the hearing loss was permanent. I have been using a hearing aid (just one as only one ear was affected) since June and after three adjustments were getting to the point of having normal hearing again.Why House of Hearing? I wanted quality service, not big box service, and quality products, which they deliver. The whole staff is great to work and chat with. The new building is awesome! Being close to home is a great plus.

I have spent most of my life dealing with hearing loss issues. My story began over 40 years ago, at the age of 10, when I was told that I had irreparable nerve damage in my left ear and some slight nerve damage in my right ear possibly due to high temperatures with the measles, at age 6. At age 10-1/2, I received my first hearing aid. The first sounds I heard literally took my breath away. While I was excited to begin my new class year with my hearing aids, my excitement drained away as my friends pulled away because of my hearing aids. I set these hearing aids aside and when I no longer wore them, my friends interacted with me, once again.After setting aside those hearing aids, I learned how to read peoples lips with the help of my pediatrician. I also learned to apologize for a handicap I had no control over, asking people to please repeat themselves. Crowded social situations were difficult for me. My hearing would lead me to misunderstand a topic of discussion or pronouncing a word correctly. People would laugh at me. I would laugh with them which was humiliating and hurt deeply. It was exhausting for me to keep up this facade.One of the joys I have had is in working with kids. My last job consisted of working as a Teacher’s Assistant at one of our local elementary schools, which became increasingly more stressful as my hearing loss grew worse. After 3 years of working at this school, I stepped away in part because of the struggles with my hearing.In late 2018, my husband noticed that I was struggling to read lips and even though he would verbally spell out words for me, I could not understand certain consonant sounds. It was time for me to seriously consider hearing aids once again.So where to start?! In the end, I chose to go with House of Hearing for a couple of reasons. I had listened to their presentations on KNRS (105.9) and the information they presented sounded interesting. Additionally, I noticed that they had offices all over the valley.My first appointment was in April of 2019, with the audiologist, Dr. Liz Hankins. After having my hearing tested I was directed to an ENT doctor who set up an appointment for me to undergo an MRI, to rule out any tumors. Thankfully, there were none. This followed with another appointment with Dr. Hankins to begin the discussions of suitable hearing aids. Due to the severity of my hearing loss, I began a grueling process to find the device that would give me the best clarity and most comfortable fit.Shortly after this, Dr. Hankins invited me to a 1-day symposium regarding hearing loss. I learned a tremendous amount from that meeting. We were also given the opportunity to receive a book that Dr. Hankins had coauthored – “Overcome Isolation, which I found extremely interesting. The title could not have been better chosen. I have been learning how detrimental social isolation can be to someone’s brain, potentially causing such disorders as early onset dementia, and Alzheimers disease, for example.After this, I spent weeks trying out 2 different hearing aids, making my final decision with the Oticon brand as these hearing aids pick up more details in the sounds I was listening to. I can say that Dr. Hankins has truly bent over backwards helping me out. If not for her encouragement and more, I think I might have given up.Dr. Hankins has been the best audiologist. She is incredibly personable, engaging, a truly great listener, and very patient. I have received an intense education into the parameters of hearing and how loss of that hearing affects the brain. Dr. Hankins has worked tirelessly to fine tune the best sound parameters in these hearing aids for me. Looking back, I wish I could have found some way to purchase hearing aids years ago, even if it meant paying a few dollars each month, which may have stopped the progression of my hearing loss. Nevertheless, I can say without hesitation, how thankful I am that I chose House of Hearing and specifically, receiving help from Dr. Hankins.

With hearing loss after acoustic neuroma surgery my ENT surgeon who works closely with Dr Liz Hankins of House of Hearing insisted on me being evaluated and treated by her. She is outstanding and gave me such personalized care and treatment. She is truly an expert and is very knowledgeable in the latest state of the art options available. She was able to fit me with hearing aids that are perfect for my situation and has serviced me with followup routine visits to make any needed adjustments and to make sure I am getting the optimal hearing benefit possible as well as supplying me with maintenance items as needed at no additional expense.

I have Been having problems with my hearing for years and I finally decided to take action. I decided to use The House of Hearing because they had an office about 1 mile from my house in Riverton.From the time I walked in the door I was treated like family and I felt like it was really important to them that my problem would be resolved. Dr. Slattery, M.D. was wonderful and promptly toke care of a fluid issue I had in my left ear. And I cant say enough about Liz Hankins, AuD CCC-A She toke care of my hearing test and toke care of all my question about my new Phonak Marvel hearing aids, they arent there to just sell you a product and get you out the door, she toke the information from my hearing test and used the information to customize the settings on my hearing aids, they will also set you up with appointments to come in and make adjustments to make sure you are getting optimal performance from your aids, I cant tell you how wonderful it is to have my hearing back, I just wish I would have done this sooner.If you need help with your hearing do yourself a favor and head over to The House of Hearing, you will enjoy the experience! .
