I thought at first they actually cared about their clients but they dont, and Im extremely sad about having to leave this review. Mr. ALI, ROBINS both of them, countless attorneys they hire are not good. On a set date appointment made by the law firm I never received the call at the appointed time. Thirty minutes later I called them and when the attorney finally answered, there was not even an apology for not calling at the appointment time, I had to call them. When speaking with him I got the impression he was not interested in my case.He was supposed to call me with information the following Tuesday but never did. The last Lawyer you will ever retain!!! Amazing!Honestly, Mr. Ali was a God sent. I’ve been dealing with a very messy family law case that was reopened back from 2008. On top of that a civil law case, which were all brought on by my ex-husband. 2 courts one very vindictive ex-husband! I went through various legal aids, self help resources and lawyers and non of them wanted to deal with the complications of a dual case let alone matters that were reserved years ago in family law court. Unfortunately because of that, I was passed on like the problem child and worse, given bad legal advice to quickly get rid of me, that ended up being very detrimental to the case.Ironically, I came about finding Mr. Ali after such a lawyer decided to drop my case 2 days before a civil hearing!! This only after his office strung me along for 3 weeks prior ensuring me that he would pick up my case as soon as he returned from vacation and I paid my retainer! Not surprisingly that same lawyer dropped me 20 minutes into our first and only phone conversation and billed me $477 for a phone consult.By now it was after hours and I just got dumped by a lawyer. I didn’t have representation and I haven’t filed anything with the Court, depending of course that the lawyer was handling all that. If I couldn’t find a lawyer, my only plan was to go into Court, explain what happened and hope that the Judge would grant an extension.In my panic, I frantically called every lawyer in my surrounding areas. True to his dedication, Mr. Ali’s was the only one still in his office working and I was asked to come in right then and there for a consult.Upon meeting Mr. Ali, I was impressed by his professionalism, mannerism and extensive knowledge. To my surprise, Mr. Ali didn’t even flinch like the others as I rambled on about all the events that had unfolded and he agreed to represent me in my upcoming civil hearing. American black citizens should not waste their time visiting this lawyer for an initial consultation. Even though he claims to advocate for civil rights, hes not talking about black people or black females that are American. There is a difference between American blacks and darker skinned immigrants from other countries. They do not prefer us and can be just as hateful and racist against us as whites have been traditionally. Our appointment was at 5 pm and he didnt show up until around 6:20. Then, when he walked into his office late, he didnt speak and went straight back to his office. His wife was wearing a head scarf and walked in holding a little boys hand. And she even frowned when I smiled and said hi. Her dirty look could have burned a hole right through me. The wait was chilly. It was getting dark and we were about to leave. I noticed that there were no blacks working in his office. And his assistant was about to leave for the evening herself. At about 7:10, he finally called us back. Once again, he was rude, he immediately told us we werent going to get any money, and reminded us that this was not going to be a big case. Usually a JD will hear you out before assessing the case. But this lawyer barely let us get a word in edgewise about our experience. With all of this said, I would suggest that you not waste your time with such an unprofessional lawyer and law firm. In response to the law firms response, I was correct in the location of the law firm my family and I visited. I did experience the wait, the rudeness, and the unprofessional treatment. Your familial history doesnt bypass the fact that you seemed to lean towards favoring immigrants verses American black citizens. You can check your own stats yourself. The racism is in that fact and nothing else. This past hidden situation of blacks being racist against other American blacks has now been uncovered. And a phone call wont change things. The best thing you can do going forward as a business is be kind, be professional, be humble, be on time or reschedule if you are running late which is fair. You might be a king of sorts in your own home. But, youll never be the king of other peoples time. Take the time to hear a matter and consider what you hear instead of shutting people down with cutting comments. A phone conversation wont change things. It is the behavior that needs to change.
