This is a great camera shop! The staff really know camera gear and were helpful. I use older camera gear and its nice to have found a local business thats able to help me keep my setup working and offering solid advice. The inventory appears to cover a wide range of brands and needs.

Number one problem with any store... When someone comes in employees automatically assume the person has no idea what theyre looking for. Lack of inventory, once I realized this store was not for industry professionals I tried to leave but staff member literally blocked me and overwhelmingly began to try selling me on things I didnt come in for like I did know I could get everything he mentioned for less online. I just came in for a simple steel light stand (which they dont have) so I didnt have to wait for shipping online but left with a willingness to leave a bad review.

This was my first time here. I’m an amateur photographer. I enjoy taking pictures of nature. My initial contact was via phone and I spoke with Oscar. I made and quick stop and he showed me around. He was knowledgeable about the camera I was curious about and gave me options. Although I have not purchased anything, yet, but I will be back when Im ready. There is nothing like touching and handling the equipment you are interested in purchasing.

Although the older staff was great the newer staff has been amazing! I love seeing a business grow and thrive by changing with the times. Went here just as they were closing. My first visit. I used to do much film photography years ago. Fast fwd 20yrs (rip van wrinkle style! Where have I been?)I think this is like the only camera shop in Riverside!?!Anyways I knew that they closed five minutes ago, but pulled into the parking spot right up front and the cheerfully held the door open for me right as they were locking up. The store remained fully staffed as the owner offered me complete unrushed shopping experience for a number of small items that I needed to complement the bargain used digital camera I bought off of EBay. They hooked me up with battery and charger along with a few other small accessories, they let me browse and window shop their new and used offerings and even chatted it up a while to get me up to speed with what has been happening in the world of photography and digital imaging.Brick n mortar/mom n pop type stores are a valuable commodity to have within a local community. This place appears to maintain a very full inventory for most things that a serious enthusiast as well as your average pro might need or want.I am sure that the markup was fairly high for the small items I purchased, but I was more than happy to pay their premium just to have a one stop shop that I am able to walk right in and get my photographic fix ( pun for us folks that worked a real darkroom😎)....I imagine it is a place that welcomes the local community to come in, hang out and talk shop. Those are places we all must support!

I purchased a 150X600 Sigma telephoto lens for my canon Camera and used it a couple of times and of course the lens got some little scratches at the place of contact with the tripod and some tiny specks of the black paint came off so to make a long story short i didnt like it and returned it to the store and one of the employees there said it was damaged (and then another employee there said to me would you buy that as new ? and I said of course not I used it so its used you would have to sell it as an opened box with a $ 20 or $ 30 discount on it ) because of the tiny specks of paint that came off at the bottom of the lens and charged me 25 % restocking fee which equals to more than $ 250 dollars when I was already told by the manager the restocking fee for returns was 15 %

Rude and will drop insurance fees without notice. I was ready to rent when the employee told me I had to pay an extra $100, that I was unaware of before. So guess who isnt getting the lens they needed for their shoot this weekend? :)Soon as I walk in and look around, these two young looking employees stare at me while theyre behind a counter. Id never been here before so I was looking around, and they stare at me like Im about to steal something. After whispering amongst themselves, the girl walks up to me and asks if I need help in this snotty tone. When I said no, she looked offended and walked away. There was one nice employee who was extremely helpful versus the other two youngsters. Save your money and go somewhere else with better tservice.

A friend and I came in to get information on a few cameras. John, the GM, was very helpful. Even though we both came in to look at the same camera, he directed us in different directions. He does not like to just look at specs, he wants to find the right camera for you and your skill level. It was a great experience because John was not a fan boy of the current mainline offerings from Canon, Sony, and Nikon. He had his opinions, but was still unbiased towards what may be right for you. The prices may be a little bit higher than online, but the experience was second to none.

There are no great camera shops near me, so I drove an hour to Image One Camera. The store was well stocked and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I had complications with my purchase and they went out of their way to accommodate it. Special thanks to Edward here, they are lucky to have him. He is devout to this shops owner and manager where he drives past many of the leading corporate specialty retail suppliers to support their hands on No BS personalized approach. I bought about 800 dollars worth of equipment and supplies from this location. It was my first time there. I was shocked when I got home and saw that my receipt said more than expected. Anyway, the next day, I called as soon as they opened. The guy was not working that day, so I talked to someone else. They were sooo organized - he looked it up on line and explained to me that the receipt actually cuts off some of the info. and that I was charged correctly, my account would say so one line. They were friendly, courteous, and quick. Even though poor cell phone reception - It all finished to my satisfaction within 3-4 minutes or so. This was my first time to this location. I would definitely recommend this location. I would go back again. Parking was easy, and they are laid back - no pressure sales. And, will take time to answer your questions and help you out.

Came to install an amp..turns out I had a part that was sold to me by accident.. when asked about the issue instead of being honest about the $20 part, the owner went on a big lie about how he gave me a better part instead.. after investigating the situation come to find out he lied and still tried to lie more about it..in the end I was given back the $20 but left with a bad experience.. sucks when its the owner.. if u cant trust the owner can trust the establishment.. never go back..

This is my favorite store to shop! Im like a kid in a candy store when I walk in. They carry everything I need for my photography. They have a full studio with lighting & props, ready for me to bring in my clients & shoot. A classroom they offer instruction on how to use your camera and video equipment. A YouTube studio with lighting, soundproof walls and stage. The people are very friendly, knowledgeable & ready to help. Oh, and if you need any prints or want to move those videos off of VHS to a digital video, they can do that too! My gosh, EVERYTHING is here! If you are looking for anything photography & or video, check this place out!

Dropped my Cannon 7D DSLR and feared Id have to replcae it after it stopped functioning. Brought the camera in on a Thursday, they checked it out, had a plan for me on Friday, fixed and returned by Monday! While I was there, I purposely purchased needed items instead of online. Interestingly, if I would have purchased online, I would have bought the wrong thing. The staff was incredibly helpful. I left with a number of things I didnt even know I needed and Im ready to go! Thank God this place is still around. Prices are also awesome. Found out they now lease equipment, have classes, and they have an amazing deal on scanning photos. As in, a VERY reasonable rate for scanning a shoe box of old photos. Way better than anything I found online.

Terrible customer service! The older guy working there gave me an attitude the first second I asked about a DSLR microphone. A woman working there had to quickly shift the guys treatment in a better direction. So... I go to another, younger guy for help there. He proceeds to try and show off his exceedingly vast knowledge of every camera on the market. But all I wanted was a microphone question answered, and to buy a canon DSLR UV filter. What should have taken five minutes took over an hour. I might add, after spending $29 on a filter, I found the same exact filter on Amazon for $6.00. Do not shop at Image One--very high prices, bad service.

Their staff is rude, arrogant and unwelcoming (Yes, I am looking at you Bill).The pricing is ridiculously marked up beyond retail value. They once tried to sell me a Canon 85mm f/1.2 at least $200-300 above retail value, but Ill get to more about their pricing later. And dont even get me started on their 15% re-stocking fee on returns.I want to talk about their staff and my multiple experiences visiting this god-awful place. For some unknown other-worldly act of nature, for the times that I have come into this store, I have only been helped by Bill. It seems, for the most part, that other employees cease to exist (Or just sit in the corner gossiping about their mundane lives).Bill. Why are you so difficult to approach? Why is it that you come off with a foul distaste for your job? As if seeing I, the customer, upon walking into your store immediately puts you into a I hate this job mentality. Even after your unenthusiastic greeting, your vast unnecessary knowledge of cameras and lenses has nothing to do remotely with a question that I asked. Does it make you feel superior that you work at a camera store and believe you hold all the information in the world about products of photography, when your target audience is professional photographers? I dont expect to come into a store with questions and leave feeling talked down upon because I either come off uneducated or stupid. You should be welcoming the customer with open arms and smiles. After all, camera stores are a dying market. Your customers are the only reason you are still afloat, but a rude staff is no way to do business. I would hate to see you guys go down as hard as Ritz Camera did.I think the only positive thing (which still manages to have negatives) is the fact that you guys offer repairs. Its great to not have to send off my gear to the manufacturer and not have to wait to several weeks. Somehow you guys even manage to mess this up. For instance, the shutter on my camera recently died. I came in, along with a new shutter assembly part, and had asked what you charge to replace it. I was told that I would need to leave my camera along with a $20 deposit in order for your technician to look at it to find the problem and then get back to me with a estimate of much it will be. Its a joke, really. I already know what is wrong with my camera. Why do I need to put down a $20 deposit to have someone else find out what I already know. No, it doesnt have internal fungus. No, I dont want my camera cleaned. Why dont you offer a direct price for something so simple? I ended up switching out the shutter myself (after watching few YouTube tuts) and probably saved myself hundreds of dollars.I dont know why I continuously visit this store only to leave unsatisfied each and every time. The staff is rude. The prices are marked up and the selection is limited. Dont even get my started on their website. That deserves an entire review of its own.All in all. This place is terrible. I would love to support my local camera shop but how can I do so when the front face of their business repels customers. I hope that someday, they will change the way they look at their customers. For the sake of their business, it better be soon.

Decent selection from new to old camera equipment .Some of the staff a little arrogant. It feels almost like you are invading their turf. . Really didnt seem to want to work with me on filters for my lens. Specially when I was looking for an inexpensive one to cover my lens just for protection.When I asked for information on snap on adapters for circular polarizer, the guy kept saying it would be a lot more expensive but didnt seem to want to show me.I really left this place with a bad taste. I really wanted to like this place since I love photography. All I can say now is visit at your own risk.

A few months ago I purchased a Ronin M from Image One in Riverside and one of the two batterys it came with was a complete dud. I called the manufacturer about the issue and they told me the store should replace it, I call them and it was a hassle... finally the guy tells me to come in to exchange the battery and HE SWAPS IT WITH ONE OF THE INDIVIDUAL SALE ONES which also turned out to be a dud! I since then have been living with working my shoots around one battery. Sure, I could buy another one but thats not the point. Its 5 AM Friday morning and Im getting ready for a shoot... learn from my mistake and always buy directly from the manufacturer or make the short drive to beautiful Pasadenas Samys Camera where they have a great selection and outstanding service.To owners response below: Dude, it was a rodeo show. The customer service felt more like a hand out than customer satisfaction. Whats done is done. The arrogance... cmon.

Broje the plastic mount on my 18-55 Nikon Zoom. Took in for possible repair and ended up replacing lens with a kit lens thst other customer had replace with higher priced, more specific lens. The repkacement was a newer locking version which g ad worked well.

TERRIBLE customer service and HORRIBLE business practices.First of all I want to say that I never write negative reviews of businesses I try to be fair and understanding however this review could not go unwritten. I went into this camera store to return a camera lens I had purchased a few days back. It was not gonna work for me and my style of shooting. As soon as I walked in and voiced I was sadly there to return this item the demeanor of all three people behind the counter changed. They were no longer friendly and polite. They acted as if they had never had anyone return an item and pretty much kept insisting I keep it or to exchange something I did not want to keep. 30 minutes later (no joke) I was still in there trying to get my money back and voice that I did not want it, I had to pretty much convince them it wasnt my style and explain over and over again that I wanted to return this. I was then told that I would be charged a 15 percent restocking fee. I must add that the lens was in stock and did not have to come from a warehouse, In fact they just turned around and put it back behind the display. Not certain why a restocking fee had to be applied. They opened the box (which appeared in new condition because I only used it for 10 minutes) and they insisted the hood was missing...I said the hood was inside the box with everything it came with. Sure enough it was in there. Then they said they second hood was not there...I said the second hood is inside the first hood inside the box. I felt like I was being mistreated and flat out punished for deciding not to keep it. I said okay to this fee as I wanted to leave and thought the punishment was over... well sure enough they managed to make things worse. I purchased the lens for $540 and was charged a $157 restocking fee!!!!! More than 25 percent!!! When I inquired about this absurd amount I was told the %15 restocking fee was based off the Retail price of the lens not what I paid them for it and the retail price was almost $1,000 so I was being charged off that price!!!! Unbelievable not only that but I was also told the %15 fee was subjective it could be higher than that. Who determined if it is higher than that? I am still in awe that with these terrible business practices and pretty much punishing their customers for changing their mind they are able to stay in business. I drove from Lake Arrowhead to Riverside for the simple reason that I wanted my dollars to go to a local business not a big box store. But as it turns out I have had a million times better treatment when dealing with Adorama, Amazon, Best Buy, and Sammys. I will be contacting the BBB in regard to their business practices and punishment fees. Please steer clear of this business sadly you are better ordering online or from place that treats you politely when you purchase and item and when your return it if need be.Would give zero starts if possible.

My wife and I have been navigating through more than our share of troubled waters lately. The biggest waves to hit us were...Our youngest Son went for a walk and vanished from our forest vacation home in Northern California (now on the missing persons list...Google: Vernon Cody Matthews). I left my job and we moved to 500 miles away to be more effective in the search (now our responsibility since law enforcement doesnt actively search for missing persons). A few months later, an arsonist set the 97,000+ acre King Fire. It destroyed pretty much everything we owned (Google: Matthews, Kind Fire). We lived in the back of our flatbed trailer for several days, then moved up to a tent, then to a broken down motor home, and finally back on our property several months later in a much appreciated donated 5th-wheel. Im an avid outdoor photographer in my spare time and travels. We managed to save my camera, but we failed to save most of my camera accessories (batteries, chargers, et al).Without having been a customer, IMAGE ONE gave me a new battery charger that I could use in a wall socket or a car lighter. Immediately after I charged my batteries, I tried out my beloved DSLR and the memory storage door broke, rendering the camera useless. Again, IMAGE ONE came to the rescue.My camera door was fixed and my camera received a complete professional overhaul/cleaning. I was only charged for $85.00 to cover their labor costs on a $250.00 job (and that was covered by an undisclosed person). So, we havent found our Son yet, we still live in a trailer in the middle of a burnt down forest, I haul water in via a trailer (400 gallons at a time), and we have an port-a-potty for our more serious business...But now, I also have my DSLR back and working like a champ thanks to IMAGE ONE. And another thank you Rick A. for guiding me and my camera problems to IMAGE ONE. Sometimes it is the little things that make a very big difference (I guess it is something only serious photographers would understand). IMAGE ONE exemplifies the community values so much of this country has forgotten...making a difference in a good way...even when you dont have to!
