This is my fourth charter with Captain Jonathan and Captain Shawn. These guys rock. Very knowledgeable of the fishing hot spots and all four trips have over 20 nice black fin tuna, trigger fish, various kinds of grouper, red snapper, rainbow runners. We had a great day on the water! My husband landed the first Blue Marlin of the season AND the first one on the new boat!!! We loved the Makaira Seeker and she definitely lived up to her name! Jonathan and Cory were not only professional but really awesome guys to hang out with. They’re super genuine and very passionate about what they do. We flew that marlin flag with pride into the marina!! Looking forward to another trip with these guys!

Awesome day with John, celebrating a birthday on the water. We arent anglers in the least, but we still had a great daytooling around, swimming, chatting, and even catching a few things! His boat was immaculate, he was so knowledgeable and made for a really special day.

I would like to take this opportunity and express our sincere appreciation for Fathom Charters. This was our third trip to Puerto Rico in the past seven months, and second time fishing there. Our experience this trip compared to the last one with a different charter company was night and day. Fathom charters executed every aspect of this charter seamlessly. Communication booking with the owner was always prompt and incredibly informative in relation to how the charters are run. The second we arrived at the Marina we were greeted by Sean and OC who would be running our charter. Their energy from the start set the perfect tone for the entire experience. Sean and OC’s level of professionalism and expertise were displayed throughout each element of our trip, and this is the first charter (and I’ve been on many in diverse locations around the world) where the crew was constantly moving with a sense of urgency and flexing to the conditions so that we could bring in an amazing catch. The crew went above and beyond throughout the entire charter, and are the type of people who are inherently made to be on the water fishing because they are deeply passionate about their craft. On our way back to the marina were fortunate enough to cross paths with some baby whales, and able to embrace their beauty as an extra bonus while on our charter. In addition to bringing in a phenomenal catch, the crew arranged for the Chef at Marina 308 to take some of our fish and use it to create some beautifully composed dishes that were full of flavor. My boyfriend and I had such a fabulous time that instead of going back to our home in MA today we decided to stay a few extra days and stay at a boutique hotel that Sean recommended called The Gallery. If you are looking for a charter company who’s professionalism, work ethic, customized approach, and deep passion for fishing is unwavering then I strongly recommend booking with Fathom Charters. They are without a doubt our go to fishing charter, and made the entire experience one I will remember for a lifetime.

Captains Jonathan Price and Sean run an awesome charter! My son & I went for a half day looking for Mahi Mahi and whatever else we could find. We were sailing about an hour and we checked out some flotsam. Sure enough, there were a ton of bait fish and we could see big Mahi and tripletails. Capt. J put us on fish and we fished that structure all (half) day! The bite was great with us catching something on almost every pass.In addition to the 7 Mahi we caught, we also caught a big Rainbow Runner. They were all delicious!The boat was great - clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Twin diesel inboards assured more time fishing and less time motoring. Tackle was great and looked almost brand new. Big Shimanos with 50lb test was perfect - we felt the fight and and never lost any tackle. Bimini top gave us some well-needed shade in the PR sun too. Both Jonathan & Sean were very helpful and patient too.Really a great charter and I will definitely book with them again the next time I am down there.

Sean & OC were amazing. We went with a group of 5 and the did a tremendous job of making sure our family was not only comfortable, but having the best experience possible. Had a great day out yesterday. We caught a wide variety of fish. Had one cooked at the dockside restaurant upon our return which was delicious. The Conditions weren’t perfect, but Jonathan worked hard to make the trip good for all of us. Highly recommend.

My first trip to Puerto Rico was tremendous, but Fathom Charters was the icing on the cake. Fantastic time with Jonathan! We called him day of and he was willing to squeeze us in despite already having done a charter earlier in the day. We went out and caught a huge Wahoo, which he then helped us have prepared at the restaurant in the harbor. The waves got pretty big and he was good about being flexible and making sure all members of our party were comfortable. Highly recommend!

Fathom Charters was awesome. Captain John and Corey were outstanding. We had a 10 hour day going for marlin. Although the marlin weren’t biting, we slayed the Mahi! We caught 21 total. John knew the right spots to go. The day flew by. This was the best charter I’ve ever been on. I recommend them strongly!

I fished on Fathom Charters on Wednesday May 12 for an 8 hour trip and I was very impressed. Captain Sean put me on the fish for the whole time and it was constant fish flying over the rail. Professional skills and courtesy that was beyond 5 stars. Had to book another trip 4 days later and the action was relentless, Been fishing all my life and fathom Charters was tops. Cant wait to visit this summer but will book my fishing trip before my flight back.

Got on a Wahoo right away and the first Mahi-mahi was on-board within a few minutes of that. Great day fishing a variety of game fish with an experienced captain. Plan on eating lots of fresh catch. I definitely recommend booking a trip with Fathom Charters.

If you want to experience an amazing day on the water, Fathom is the place to call. Captain Mike and Paul were awesome and the boat Shine Eye Girl is a smooth set up. We took a group of 6 out and all had a blast. Call these guys and ask for Captain Mike. You will not be disappointed.

We had two great days of fishing with Johnathan and Cory. Johnathans boat is extremely comfortable to fish on all day and very clean. He does everything in his power and works tirelessly to put you on the fish. With that said Johnathan and Cory are very laid back and friendly and we had a great time with them while catching lots of fish. If youre not local the scenery is amazing and we saw many humpback whales and even some breach as well as quite a few big sea turtles. Overall it was a great experience and i would do it again.

Jonathan and roger showed us a great time.. we really enjoyed our trip... even if we wouldn’t have caught anything it still would’ve been worth it.. Nice comfortable boat great views of the island.. we seen some whales and dolphins and turtles... and came home with a half a dozen really nice fish.

Won’t book a fishing trip with anyone else while in the area of Rincon. Jonathon and Sean both have the experience and the know how to get you to stick fish. They are also just good family oriented people and will really make the effort to make sure your comfortable. Caught a sweet barracuda and had many many fish on the line. If you want to catch and get the most out a fishing trip I’d book with them.

So if you’re thinking about going on a fishing charter in Puerto Rico, let alone Rincon, you’ve arrived at the right place. I went out with my wife and son and we all had a truly great experience. The crew was great. Really better than great. Sean and Timmons ran the boat and they were as good as it gets. Spending five hours with people you don’t know miles from the shore line might seem intimidating, but these guys will put you at ease right away. They’re professionals and above that, they’re genuinely good guys. They clearly love fishing and that’s what we came to do. My son loved hanging out w them and was hoping we’d see them again. I’d do this charter again.

Came down to Ricon for sons senior trip with two of his friends and dads. Went on a half day trip, caught tuna and barracuda. Had a great time, Shaun and OC made it a great trip.

Captain Jonathan and his 1st mate Cory set this charter apart. These guys want to catch fish more than you! They are so passionate and knowledgeable yet they also are great with children and oh, we caught grouper, tuna, and triggerfish, then tarpon and had fish dinner for 9! My wife says Captain looks like Richard Gere. I think he looks like Pee Wee Herman. But I know he’s the best charter boat captain I’ve ever met and he does it from the heart. Highly recommend.

Thoroughly impressed through and through from the beginning to the end of the booking . I called Johnathan and was able to book a trip within a few days of arriving to Puerto Rico. We had a great fishing outing with Fathom Charters out of Rincon PR. Sean and Dan captained and crewed our fishing outing and we all had a great time. The day included us seeing whales and dolphins and we had fun catching multiple tuna and several larger barracuda. We also were able to catch some nice triple tail which were very tasty. Dan and Sean were so knowledgeable and they worked hard all day bringing us to the fish. Dan and Sean were also so personable, it was like fishing with friends yet they were focused on finding the fish all the while. They both have an immense passion and love for fishing. Booking with Fathom Charters through the owner Jonathan was very easy, his goal was to make sure our experience was fun for us and they scouted the weather conditions ahead of time and even brought the boat closer to our location because the weather report had predicted rough conditions at the other location. Great outfit. A lot of patience with kids. Put us on the fish and whales. They were jumping out of the water like the Pacific Life commercial. Fishing was great dropped the line in and not even a minute later...FISH ON!One of the best charters I have been on. Do what you want. Incredible day on the water with captain Jonathan and first mate Julio. Both are super knowledgeable about the waters surrounding the island. Came down to Puerto Rico with my father-in-law and friends. Everyone wanted to go fishing. So we chose Fathom Fishing Charters and they did not disappoint. These boys put fish on the deck. Ended our trip with 5 wahoo. They try their best to make sure you go home with fish. Capt John called to see if we could be at the dock earlier because the bite was in the morning and he was right. Captain jarred took me out about 10-15 miles for my first real deep sea fishing adventure and I had a blast! Caught some beautiful black fin tuna, and we reeled in a 60 pound yellow fin, would recommend this company to anyone looking to have a real fishing experience!!

Awesome fishing trip. Not less then 3 minutes after the first rod was rigged up and casted into the water a Tuna was on it. They definitely know where the good fishing spots are, highly recommend using Fathom.

Went on a trip with Megan and Mike on the Shine Eye Girl this week. I’ve been bottom fishing and jigging before and it was my first time trolling, had a blast! They were so patient with me as I asked a bunch of questions, Mike showed me all of his trolling techniques. Fishing started kind of slow until they took us to the tuna sweet spot then the bite turned on, it was a Tuna mayhem.Caught 22 fish; 19 black fin tuna, 2 barracuda and 1 horse eyed jack! Tops the charts as a one of the best fishing trips of all time!

Went out right in the five 100 yards from the marina and caught two massive tarpon. Captain was great and the first mate was one of the best fisherman I have ever met. Hooked on a fish that no one thought he was going to. Great experience and will definitely be back.

Big thank you to Jared and Mark for our fishing trip Dec. 9th. 2018. These guys are amazing. Jared was kind enough to send a text the night before fishing to give us tips on ways to not get sea sick, offered to answer any questions we had, very friendly but most of all knew exactly where to take us to catch fish. Once we arrived to the spot, Mark put the poles in the water and within 5 minutes we had a fish on. We were only able to fish for an hour due to someone in our party getting sea sick but within that hour, we were able to catch 4 fish. Had we been able to stay, Im confident we would have caught a lot more. These guys really know where the fish are, and I would highly recommend Jared and Mark to anyone looking to catch fish. My wife and I went deep sea fishing for our 6 year anniversary on Valentines day and I couldnt have asked for a better way to spend it. Captains Sean and John got us on fish quick and kept us on them for nearly the half day. Awesome experience and would totally do it again. My husband and I went for the full day with Captain Jon and Sean and we were not disappointed. They were able to put us on fish pretty early on, and they didnt stop until it was past time to go. All in all, we brought in 28 mahi mahi and a couple of barracuda between the two of us. It was a blast!! Fathom had everything we needed for a great day on the water - including extra bait. Book this trip and you wont regret it!Notes for people who work at a desk (like me):-Bring, like, a LOT of water. We had three bottles each and it wasnt enough. For a whole day, bring something closer to a gallon jug for each person.-Bring gloves. Youre going to cling to that fishing pole for dear life, and your soft, un-calloused hands are going to be screaming before its over. In a good way, but still.-Re-apply your sunscreen every time youre not holding a rod. Otherwise, youll just keep having fun, bringing fish in while you burn to a crisp.

Really enjoyed our trips fishing with Jarrod and Mark! We went two different days and on the last day caught several wahoo and finished the evening with a 70lb wahoo! John took my boyfriend and I out fishing on a charter. My boyfriend is an avid fisherman and was very impressed with Johns skill set of big-game fishing and his expertise as a captain. In a half-day charter we caught 3 Wahoo all over 65 pounds. While I sat and enjoyed the sun, my boyfriend had the best experience thus far with charters. The captain was extremely easy to get a long with and made sure that we both received the most out of the experience. Along the way, we even saw a humpback whale breaching. It was definitely a five star experience and I would highly recommend Fathom Fishing Charters to anyone ready to get the catch of the day.

Nice boat and tackle. Cool guys that speak english. Slow fishing day but they spent the extra time to make sure we got something, in my case a nice blacken tuna.

Fished two days caught tuna, wahoo, dorado, grouper, snapper, trigger.Me and my brother had the best time and brought home near 100# of fish. filets.Going back next month with my son and Marlin fish. What ever you want they deliver. Great captains, boats equipment, bait. They got it all.

Couldnt recommend Fathom Charters highly enough! We arrived late, but Jonathan gladly extended our trip to accommodate a full day. He and Julio are both extremely knowledgeable and demonstrated a lifetime of experience. Theyre super easy-going and a lot of fun to be around. When youre not catching fish, theyll keep you entertained with unbelievable stories from their past fishing experiences and Julio will show you how to properly clean a Trigger Fish ;-). We left with a cooler full of fish for dinner, a decent sunburn, a slight buzz and some life-long memories. Definitely check these guys out!

It was an exciting day, we had so much fun! Jonathan is really awesome and helped us catch lots of fishes, after that, he was cool enough to take us to playa buyé to chill and relax for a while! It was an amazing experience, I can’t wait for our next fishing trip with Jonathan and his crew!

I can’t recommend this enough! Today Dan and Sean took me and my 15 year old son out. It was a day we’ll never forget. They were intent on him catching his first tuna and they made sure it happened, 2 actually. We also caught beautiful strawberry grouper. They filleted the fish for us and tonight we had an amazing fresh caught dinner. Not only that but they are super personable and told us the lay of the land. Can’t wait to do this again! A must in you’re staying in Rincón.

Amazing boat with state of the art electronics! it was the best charter Ive ever been on! If you are a serious fisherman this is the boat you want to be on in P.R. I already have my trip booked for next year!!!

Going to Rincon for my third time and loving Fathom Charters from the first two minutes I stayed on the boat with them my first trip, I knew we had to go fishing and snorkeling with them again for the 3rd time. The first day we trolled and caught many king mackerel and a wahoo. We also caught some rainbow runner, grooper, and yellow tail. The second day we went out to a reef and snorkeled and went lobster hunting. The guys were awesome, and they always seem to keep you entertained. I highly recommend choosing them for fishing adventure. Johnathan and Sean were brilliant, and we will forever come back. A big thank you from your West Texas friends.

Had Capt Mike and Mate Timmons(Hope I spelled that correctly) as the crew that took us out Black Friday. Very meticulous to detail. Very knowledgeable about the terrain. Very friendly. Fishing a full moon is always a coin flip. They made the best of it by putting us on king mackerel, barracuda and blackfin tuna. A ton of meat taken home. Highly recommend Fathom charters!
