Great little UPS Store full of friendly people. The manager, Que, is friendly and helpful. They offer shipping and printing services as well as a computer rental. Parking is great as it has a lot so there is no need to parallel park. Happy to have this as my local UPS Store.
Wow! This is the best UPS store I have been in! The employees are so kind and welcoming and make sure they clearly understand what you need. Q the manager was so polite and went above and beyond to make sure my documents were taken care of. It was also great to see him helping other staff members. I am so fortunate this is my local UPS!
They lost a package that was crucial to my sick and dying mother, and then when I ask about the status of it, as it has now been 2 weeks since it was supposed to ship, the tracking online still only says “label created” and that is it. And when I call the store, they told me their site has a glitch in it but they “assure it was shipped” yet, my mother STILL has yet to receive it, and even the main phone line tracking system says it’s still in a “label created” status. They either lied to me, or just flat out lost my package. Either way, I will NEVER be going back to this UPS store. And honestly, you’re better off trusting a bird with your package than this location. I am thoroughly displeased.
I have been a customer here for almost one year. The Staff that work the front desk is fast and friendly. The young Ladies are good at knocking the line down. This UPS Store 🏬 has a Large volume of customers it seems like it could be overwhelming and very fast paste at times. The manager Mr Q does a good job making sure the store runs smoothly. Terrific Customer Service with a smile. Last week I mailed 25 packages with the help of the Manager, Quincy. He made what would have been a painful process, so easy. Even though the store was busy, he never showed any frustration with my large order. And was able to effectively run the store while still making me feel like my business was a priority. I have another shipment today and I know where I will be heading to get it done right. Thank you!
Back in February of 2021 I sent snacks from the UPS store #3557 in Richmond Virginia to my children in another state. The packages were lost/damaged. I contacted Brianna at the location and she took my name, phone number and tracking number. Javier the District Manager contacted me later after receiving my name and the situation from Brianna. Javier apologized and made sure my situation would be resolved. Brianna and Javier both worked diligently to assist me and to compensate me for the inconvenience.Brianna is most definitely The GOAT of UPS Stores and the exemplary of great customer service, care and respect for the customers!In my humble judgement and opinion UPS need more employees like Brianna and Javier. They are both The Greatest of All Time (GOATs)!
I had a terrible experience here concerning termination of my mailbox that I had used for my business for over 9 years. I will make a long story as short as possible...In July I was sent a Mailbox Renewal Reminder and I replied to the email asking if the card on file could be charged. I received a prompt reply: Yes, thank you! I replied with Do you need anything else from me? and the answer was Not at this time. Thank you. - I thought everything was fine. 3 days later I get a Past Due Notice with a late fee. I explain the previous conversation and was told Yes sir I do apologize for the mistake on our end - Again I thought all was fine.Late October rolls around and I get a voicemail that says I need to call them back within 24 hours or my account is terminated. I call an hour later and am left on hold for 15 minutes. I had to hang up for a business meeting. Meanwhile I emailed them and asked them to fix the issue. I received an email back asking for my phone number which I promptly gave.I never got a call back, but I called back several times to attempt to resolve.Then I get an email stating the account was terminated.I called several times and eventually someone there told me we dont keep cards on file and I have to come in person to sign forms to get a new mailbox AND that I may not be able to get the same box number. (I was out of town for the week so not possible to come in person) My final call just before 5pm - I was told that the manager stepped out and that I would get a call back. I never did.I have emailed and called several times since with no return call from a manager. Most of the employees were nice but they were not able to resolve the situation.It cost my business a lot of time and expense to change our address, but it was worth it to get away from this locations poor service.I have emailed the store several times to ask for my mail be forwarded to my new address, but I have never received a reply.
Using closest location. So I tried tracking my package 2 days after it arrives. In order to do so online I would have to make an account with UPS. I dont want to make an account with UPS. If they cant seem to stop misplacing my packages, I can imagine them probably misplacing my personal info. So I called UPS. The computer wouldnt let me talk to an associate on the first two attempts and kept telling me that I needed to make an UPS account. Then it would hang up on me. On my third attempt I finally got through to a person. She said that she could see that my package was list and that I would have to fill out a form to have them investigate what happened to my package. I said, if she can see what my package is and she has the information on where it was coming from and where it was going, why do I need to fill out a form. She said I just needed to fill out the form and she would email it to me. Then after hanging up, I opened the emailed for and guess what.... the form said I had to make an account t with UPS to precede. F@ck UPS. Forget the package. Ill use Fed Ex next time.

Employees here don’t wear masks properly . They wear them under their chin or under their nose and aren’t worn properly. Every time I come here this is the case. Please protect your customers and cover your nose/mouth with the mask as is required. I will be filing a complaint with VDH. Next time I will take pictures and post here as well.

I get that its Christmas Eve, but if the closing hour is listed as 3:00, stay open until 3:00. 2:00 is definitely not 3:00. At least 5 people walked up and tried the door after I did. Two employees standing inside watching people come up to the door. Again, supposed to be open until 3...
Came by around 3:30 on Monday and they were slammed. Had to ship 4 boxes with my girlfriend and we were helped by a badass employee named Kareem. That man deserves a raise for holding it down! Super polite and quick service!
I terminated my service with Verizon, to make the process complete I took Verizon equipment to the UPS store located at 3126 Cary Street on the 12th of December, only to be billed by Verizon for equipment I no longer. The rep or manager do not want to take responsibility for the errors made to the processing of the Verizon equipment. Because of the error made Verizon do have their equipment and my credit report is being fasly report.
Tyee overcharged us for a notary claiming my single document needed to be stamped twice. Our mistake using ups to notarize something as we needed it done quickly. Do yourself a favor just go to your bank they will do it for free and not try to swindle you into stamping your document multiple times to extort more money out of you.
The worst experience I have ever had at any UPS. After waiting a long time to get a document notarized, I was finally called up. He said Im sorry I completely forgot about you. I was forgiving as mistakes happen. Then when I gave him my forms, he signed on the wrong line and tried to use white out. The instructions stated that if any part of the document had white out, it would be rejected. So I left with wasted time and an invalid document. Also, a woman came in and conducted her business without wearing a mask. No employee stated anything about this issue. I would recommend going to a different UPS location.

Packages seem to keep disappearing at this location. Two separate incidents, and now im a third. Some ghost named CD is signing for packages and then probly leaving with them.
Every time I have been here the customer service is great. The people friendly and they move quick! Parking can be tricky at busy times but that is just Carytown :)
Granted parking is limited yet my ride drove around the smallparking lot. About a 5 minute wait my return process went smoothly. its a popular area!
Went to this location yesterday with a friend to get a document printed and notarized. We didn’t get the name of the man who helped us but he was so kind (I assume he was the manager). We just want to say thank you for your excellent service!
DO NOT use this location for any time sensitive business needs. Packages sent out do not arrive on time or even to the correct location.
Have used them for their UPS box (like PO Box) service for over a year. Staff have been very nice/professional. I pick up mail twice a week and have never had a bad experience. 10/10 would recommend.
It is Dec 11 and they have a voicemail explaining they can’t answer the phone because they are closed for Labor Day

Terrible customer service. They young lady who waited on me ignored my entrance completely, continuing her conversation with the manager in the back room. When she did address me, I asked a few questions without the benefit of either eye contact or response while she continued to talking with the manager who had come into the area. I asked if there would be a charge for anything as I had followed, to the letter, the instructions for returning (DTV receiver) the item as told to me by the media company. I was told no. As she then completed the transaction, without ever looking at me, she then stated that I owed them $3.69 for the box. Very bad service after being told the day prior that they could not help due to their commercial acct databases being down. Additional empathy training might do well in this situation.
Best UPS team in town, they rock it on the busiest days and keep everyone safe. TK is my buddy and has helped me out with some precious family shipments!
Ive been here many times, its out neighborhood UPS. The service is consistently excellent: accurate and efficient--packages get to where the supposed to go. Today, I was in and out in five minutes.
This place is so awesome, this dude named TK is the best, I was having a really rough week, and on top of that, I left my PlayStation controller at home when I left for college, so my mom went to the store to ship it to me and she explained the whole thing to him and he was just like “I’ve got you.” Dude upgraded the shipping and paid for the box because he’s just that kind of guy. TK knows what’s up.
The young lady Nichole has exceptional customer service skills her energy brightens up the whole store..... she helped me ship off some packages for my sister.I also purchased stamps who knew you could buy stamps at ups haha .....shes a keeper for sure. I will return back.

Ive never experience such awful customer service. The kid that waited on me was mumbling rude comments underneath of his mask, threw the receipt at me simply because I asked a question. The other co workers did NOTHING to stop this type of behavior. I asked to speak to the Manager and all he said was he would handle it. AWFUL! I tried to call UPS, but no luck.

I used to have no problems with this ups store, but the two girls who used to always help have since quit and been replaced by staff that do not care to help or even try. The past two times I have gone, they have caused me nothing but headache. If you can drop your package at a UPS box, just do that and dont waste your time.
Actually zero stars. They sent my package to the wrong person. They put my mailing label on a package to be returned to Amazon. So that was delivered to my daughter in California not Amazon. The package I sent to my daughter which cost 30$ to ship plus the contents Was not delivered to her and they WILL NOT GIVE ME A REFUND. Nor could the “manager” Mr Baggett could help because he claimed he could not get in the computer to look at the transactions even though I have the labels. I tried to escalate and he would not give me any information to get to someone who would help me. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this store. GO anywhere else but not here. The store is a mess .. chaotic and piled w packages everything in disarray!
Ive been using the carytown location for years now and I walked in there this past friday. I think its under new management because the store was very cleaned and organized. I shipped out a UPS package and the employee that helped was very professional and helpful.Very pleased with my experience.
I send a set of china to my sister. They said and I paid for repackaging and extra coverage. The china arrived in pieces . There was no bubble wrap and no fragile markings. This was a very expensive shipment. I am FURIOUS!!!!!!! Will NEVER go back to this place + the attitude of the staff sucks!
I stopped by the ups store to ship a few packages and had a great experience with Elexiss. She was so helpful and knowledgeable, while also training the other associates with other customers. I was shocked when she told me she was only an associate and not the manager. The service I’ve had here in the past wasn’t the best but she definitely helped a lot! Please keep her around. Employees Kayla, Brenda and Q are friendly, attentive and get you in and out the store. Great customer service will go back to this location. The parking is limited in the strip mall.
I really dont like to complain but this morning was the second morning I tried to drop a package off here and they were not open at 9am like their posted hours claim. I usually have no problem if I can go in the afternoon on a weekday. Be warned, for Saturday mornings, they likely wont be open at 9.
I went in there to ship out my packages and Elexiss’s was great she was well trained in her job. There was a line out the door and she managed to take care of me and still acknowledge all of the other customers. You don’t here this to often anywhere you go but Elexiss thanked me for my business.My favorite UPS Store so far A+

I accessed the computer to print my packing slip from my email (thankfully I didnt use my password, but a temp code) and the very next day my email was on the darkweb.The woman who helped me was pleasant. The woman who seemed to be in charge acted as though the presence of customers was the bane her existence. After asking 3 times for a box and waiting an hour, I was told it would cost me $100 for them to box it.Between parking and customer service quality, Id avoid this location.
This location is terrible. Staff is slow and rude. Theyve lost two of my packages at this point; one of which I was told was probably left on the truck despite being signed for by someone named Quincy. I make every effort to avoid this UPS. Would love to see it close down.
I’ve had a box here for over a year. They have clearly double rented out the box and thought I’ve asked them to correct the issue- most of the time I have 80% someone else’s mail along with 20% of my own.... which is a crumpled mess from them shoving too much mail in. This coupled with multiple random unannounced closures preventing from getting time sensitive business mail.... I can’t move my mailbox to another location fast enough.
Long time customer at this store. They are under new ownership and the experience is vastly improved from 6 months ago. Totally new employees. Staff is friendly, facility is clean. Service is much faster due to the reorganization and electronic check out. If you have not tried them recently you need to give them another chance.

By far the worst UPS store on the planet. DO NOT take anything to this store that actually needs to make it to the destination. We paid extra to overnight a package, only to have the UPS store miss sort the package and not ship it. They then denied having the package although corporate UPS could show that it had been signed for by a UPS employee of that store. The attitude of everyone we encountered in that store was that they couldnt care less. Now we are having to fight to get a refund for the package they failed to deliver. Got to FedEx if you want it done right. This place is terribly mismanaged.
Very frustrating experience today. I walked in with a handful of packages and I was greeted by three girls that didn’t seem to be doing anything. I was informed that they were not allowed to help me because they’re at capacity, a business that ships packages during the holidays should have systems in place to keep things like this from happening. The recited lines of how many locations you have and how I can get help at other places are not helpful when I am on a timeline and these packages have a deadline to be delivered to and the closest one would be closed by the time I could get to it. You lost my business, I don’t care if it cost me more money to ship if I’ll have a better experience doing it somewhere else.
The gentleman (he didn’t have on a name tag) was very nice and helpful. The woman (Kaila) was about as unpleasant as someone could be. Not helpful and generally seemed annoyed to be working.
The staff their is so amazing and friendly. Their always welcoming when you enter and converse with you. I come in often to make copies and the young ladies are always insightful and willing to help. KEEP THESE LADIES AROUND

I dont ever write reviews and usually ignore bitchy employees cause I know they hate their jobs which is why they act so bitchy but this 2 second experience ticked me off and was SO unnecessary. I walked in on Friday (NOBODY was in the UPS either besides the two workers at the front, so it was not busy) with a friend who was going to be shipping off a package. I walked in with her and the guy at the front proceeded to ask me if I was with her. I shook my head no, said no, and said I didnt need help. He stared at me and then I said it again. And he rudely says to me, Thats what I just asked. No, you asked me if I was with my friend. Im not with her, I dont need help in general. Dont get smart dude, especially when I told you up front I didnt need help the moment you spoke to me. Why would I even want to come back to this store and bring in my service, if youre gonna treat me like Im stupid when Im not even bringing any service? I think the negative reviews recently left on here, the people probably dealt with the same male as me. Hey dude, you probably hate your job, but dont get a power-trip when you work at a place like UPS. Treat anyone who walks through the door with respect, I might be overreacting but its not hard to just suck it up and do your shift and go home without being a complete dick to people who walk in. I shipped my own package off at a Fed Ex after I left there :)

Seriously phenomenal customer service at this location. I run a small business and have varied and sometimes frustrating printing needs. The ladies that hold down the UPS Store in Carytown are top notch, not only going far beyond expected customer engagement norms but also like... making me feel welcome enough to want to come back. The manager, Jessica didnt hesitate, and per usual she and her team were able to accommodate my request and made the process quite simple. Completely dishonest place. Paid for overnight shipment to California. Package arrived 4 days later. Refuse to give me a refund. They claim I need to get refund from UPS. They ignore the huge sign in the store that says UPS.

I shipped a priority mail with them for $14.99. They used USPS for this shipment. The shipment came back to me. I stopped by the UPS and asked for a refund of $14.99. They checked their computer and said my mail was delivered to the recipient, which is nonsense because I had the returned envelope with the tracking number in my hands showing to them. I asked for a refund because the shipment was returned to me. they pointed fingers at USPS, said I had to go to USPS and it was USPSs driver, not them, who made a mistake. Even if it was true, I paid money to you, guys. You should have refused me for my shipment, which you agreed to deliver nut did not deliver. It does not matter, who you use to fulfill the shipment, you take money from people, and you have to stand for you product, but all you do is pointing fingers and sending customers to figure it out on their own.
Completely incompetent service. The clerk had me reading the address for him. Then in mid service answered the phone. Here it fell completely apart. He could not find the item the person on the phone needed. Nor could his manager. They manager started arguing with the clerk while the clerk was still talking on the phone. There seemed to be no end to the conversation. So I left with my unmailed package.
I own a small, local business and have shipped out many of the same item over the past year and their pricing has more than doubled in that time. (From ~$20 to $50+)I have also noticed suspicious charges on my last few receipts; $2.00 charge for packaging materials even though my package was taped up and ready to be shipped out when I dropped it off.There has been more than one occasion where I will say that the price sounds high and they see what they can do, and come back with a lower price for the same exact service. Very sketchy.At best, they take two days to get tracking info for you and Ive found they only answer the phone about a third of the time.The owner claims to support local business but it is all a charade. The only part of local business they are interested in is taking their money. I am truly disappointed. I will be finding another option for my logistics and I reccomend that anyone reading this does the same.
Everytime i visit the store, the girls have such great energy and always smiling. their friendly faces keep me returning. i never have a problem when i do my shipments there. their even kind enough to help me find the best cost effective solution since im a new and up coming book author. i will be shipping UPS always.
Went to get something notarized and was told she was out for lunch would be back in an hour. Came back 1 1/2 hours later to be told she would be back in 20 more minutes. Wasted my time. Then I walked across the street to Wells Fargo who did it fast and for free!!!
Beyond terrible customer service, and entirely unprofessional shipping. I shipped three large boxes on Wednesday via UPS, totally in value at $12,000. Shipping cost me nearly $1,300. I was never given tracking information for these packages.I called later that day asking for information, upon which I was told it wasnt available yet and I would be told the next day, since I was shipping freight. I called several times on Thursday, and no one ever answered the phone. I called twice on Friday, and was told both times they would find the tracking information and get back to me - which they didnt.I went into the store just now, Saturday, three days after shipping, and after waiting five minutes for an employee to even appear (because they were looking for another customers package which they lost, and still couldnt find) was immediately treated as if I was a burden. Zaleah was the employee I spoke with, who repeatedly talked to me in a condescending voice, claiming that the manager is the only employee in the store capable of looking up tracking information and that theyd just get back to me later. When I pointed out I had been given the same line before to no avail, and it seems odd that one would still not been given tracking information for packages sent three days ago, all she had to say was weve been busy. I told them that they have absolutely lost my business in the future, to which Zaleah replied rather smug, well good luck! I asked several times for help with this situation, to which she just kept saying there was nothing she could do. Curious what her job actually is if she works in shipping and is unable to look up tracking information or find a package. Might I also add that when I shipped these packages, the manager did all the work, while three employees just watched.I am waiting to speak with their manager, Jessica, and am completely awestruck by how incompetent, rude, and lazy the employees are at this store. Will never ship from here again, and will be sure to spread the word on what an embarrassment of a business this is.

Most of the UPS stores around Richmond at notorious for crummy service by ambivalent staff. There are three UPS stores closer to my house than this one, but I chose the Cary Street location for my mailbox rental because of the excellent service there.Steve is fantastic - helpful, friendly, competent. Thats all I can ask for.
Returning rental books for my son, had no idea how to handle this. Berkley (hope thats spelled right) was great, took me from start to finish. Everyone was helpful and pleasant, even though they were dealing with system problems.
Just left, and on such a cold and rainy day this store and their employees will leave you with full of sunshine. They helped me with everything. I got my business done. God bless them.
Worst UPS STORE IN RICHMOND VA. THEY CAN NEVER KEEP GREAT STAFF. I CANCELED MY MAILBOX SERVICES WITH THEM. I WASNT RECEIVING MY MAGAZINES FOR MONTHS. I WENT IN RECENTLY TO FIND OUT THAT ALL THE WOMEN THEIT QUIT. THEY WERE AWESOME YOUNG LADIES BUT YOU CAN TELL WHOEVER OWNS THE STORE HAVE POOR MANAGEMENT BECAUSE FOR THE WHOLE TEAM TO QUIT SAYS A LOT ABOUT HOW THEY RUN BUSINESS.
Google says they close at 6, their hours are actually only until 5 on Saturdays. I got here at 5:05 and they wouldnt let me ship a package on the Saturday before Christmas. Should hire employees with hearts three sizes larger.
I have rented a box here and its been a pleasure. Id like to be able to get packages on Sundays, but otherwise, no complaints! The staff are fantastic.

This isnt on the people that work there because they seem really great. This one may be on the UPS Store. The website says use hp e-print to print off your documents on the go. So I do just that, just to get to the store and the employees had never heard of the service and had no idea what to do with the code that I was given by the mobile app.

This UPS store is difficult to get to. Parking is awful in the shopping center it’s located in. The management should consider moving to another location.
Its in cool location slot of lil shops and restaurants and other sidewalk restaurants !! And they do your final exams for driving improvement classes!!! I give them 👍👍 s up
Initially I was not impressed. The young man that opened the store (8:30 am) was very unenergetic/inviting. He used very little eye contact and used minimum amount of words at every opportunity. He took my item measured it and pretty much that was it. I received a call close to 3 pm to say the store did not have a box to fit the item. I asked the male on the phone if he could see if the nearest store could accomodate my item and he said he couldnt. Every thing I asked of him ..he seemed as if it was impossible and a burden. At the time of his call I was walking into my sons graduation and could not pick the item up. Long story short after graduation I called back and was fortunate enough to be connected to Heather. She was awesome. Very sweet and apologetic and she even offered to get me the nearest stores info. Then she asked if she could put me on hold and came back with a solution! She actually was able to get my packaged shipped to my customer and did it all with a smile in her tone! Heather you rock. I am forever greatful for your can do attitude. Somebody give her a raise!
Great customer service . each and everyone off the employees always helpful and greety in a way I havnt seen in any other ups store + they fast. Im coming there especially, even if I have another branch closer to where Im at ... The service is exceptional helpful.
I was in and out within 2 minutes. The guy helping me out pretty much handled everything and gave me some helpful tips about how to package my items.

I rent a mailbox there and it has been a great experience. Theyve even started to recognize me when I walk in and get my package(s) for me before I even grab the delivery slip(s) from my mailbox.
Terrible, horrible customer service. Go to Kinkos on Broad Street and use FedEx instead. The whole experience is far more friendly and appreciative. The UPS store people look and act like thugs. FedEx is always professional.
Hassle me and assume i’m an idiot. I own a business shipping and selling items online daily some being fragile items. (Glass, Cameras, Lenses etc.,) I take a package with glass in that I’m NOT finished packing in to buy the rest of the supplies to insulate the glass and they try to tell me i’m an idiot and it will break if I don’t pay the $30 for them to pack it. Drop the assumptions, i’m not shipping an unpadded item i’m leaving the store to buy cheaper supplies and then coming back later to drop it off for less than $30! If this wasn’t a prepaid label i’d take it to USPS or even FEDEX where they treat you like a human with intelligence

This store has great customer service, the staff was very accommodating and helped me out with a stressful situation. I would definitely recommend this store!!

I usually go here to print, but this time one of the attendants was very aggressive about getting me to use their computer to print off what I needed. I have severe anxiety so I felt really uncomfortable and left, hopefully it was a one off thing.

UPS store doesnt bill to accounts anymore, so I had to wait for my client to generate a slip. Third party store around the corner does way bill still. Parking sucks, and they try to nickle and dime you for everything. Use FedEx whenever possible.
