This place is awesome! Had to get a haircut quick before I went out of town for a wedding. They take walk ins, use a straight razor for edge ups, the whole 9 yards. Good price and provide an excellent experience!

First class all the way! I only go to Cutz, mainly Mechanicsville, but SP and Midlo are equally good. Always friendly and professional. I’ve never left disappointed and happy to refer and recommend them. Hilary is my go-to, but you’ll be happy with all their top notch stylist.

So I recently discovered this GEM and I can’t say enough good things about it! My barber/stylist Tatum is AMAZING! I am extremely particular about my hair, beard and brows and she listened to exactly what I asked for and my hair has never looked better! The service is always super fast and friendly. You really can’t beat the prices and they even work with me for scheduling and appointments! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and go visit this place!

Cutz for Guys was totally on point. Ive been trying to find a place that not only does hair cuts but also beards and was having no luc called them and they do both so asked if i needed an appointment which they replied no. said just come on in which i did doing my lunch break and had to wait maybe 2 minutes and then a cutting they went. the stylist i got was quick,professional and polite. received a great hair cut and shave and was/am very satisfied. found my barber shop

Don’t get your hair cut by Tatum!! I’ve had her twice now and it sucks each time. The most recent time I went she spent as much time talking with her coworkers as she did cutting my hair. She kept dropping things and just laughing it off like it was nothing. Wasn’t prepared at all because she kept having to borrow things from other stylists. I wish I would have requested Jaz instead. Too late though because you’ve lost my business.

A good place to get a cut.

Ive gone here for seven or eight years. In that time, Ive never considered going anywhere else. Consistently great haircuts (verified by wife) and friendly staff that are usually there for years (rather than places that turn over frequently). I dont feel like I go there for a haircut, but to hang out with a friend and come home better looking.

Good hair cut and shave

Went in there to get my mullet-ish style hair cleaned up and specifically noted I wanted to keep the length in the back and just to have it cleaned up a little and get the sides and top cut. According to Jazz’s opinions that wouldn’t look good so she took the justice of cutting the entire length of the mullet off and and keep the sides and top long (the EXACT OPPOSITEof what I asked for). It seems like other stylists do a decent job there but it’s frustrating to say the least after growing my hair out for a year to have it chopped off and still have a bad haircut.

I was a bit nervous coming because I just moved to town from Northern Virginia and hadnt recieved a haircut in months. Jaz was my stylist and WOW she did a fantastic job. Not only did she ask me plenty of questions on how I wanted my hair to look, she listened and confirmed along the way. You can tell she really cares about her clients satisfaction. If you get a haircut, ask for her! Thanks Jaz!

I have been getting my haircut at Cutz for Guys since it opened. I recommend any stylist they have, all are well trained, my personal favorite is Alanna. The stylists use a straight razor for the neck, and you can get a shave with your haircut if you like.

I came in here to fix a haircut gone bad at a different shop. I was extremely satisfied when I walked out, more than Id anticipated. I wish I could remember her name, but my stylist did a great job listening to what I wanted and executed even better. Ive found my new spot for haircuts moving forward.

Even when my youngest was crying and wiggly, the haircut somehow looked amazing. Over the years, trained my youngest to sit still and love getting his hair done! This is the only shop I go to in short pump. Chelsea is a top notch stylist with a diverse cutting style. When I first started getting my haircut with her I used to get a number all around to keep it simple. One day I tested her skills and started going for waves in hair and she was able to cut my hair the proper way and the proper length. She has become my permanent barber now! Give her a try guys!!

You did an outstanding job!!Ive brought my 5 year old here for the past couple of years. Hes had multiple stylist cut his hair and they all do an awesome job. They never seem irritated to cut a little boys hair even go so far as to cut cartoons on the tv for him. Today, Thuc cut his hair and she did an amazing job and was so sweet carrying on little conversations with him. She made him feel comfortable and he left looking like a handsome little man. I came in close to closing (I had no choice and no other place was open for when I got off work) but I just needed a super quick trim. Kara was my stylist and was professional, fun to talk to, and did an amazing job. I had given a vague description of what i wanted and just asked Kara to kind of wing it. Overall great experience and the atmodphere was comfortable and proffesional. I would recommend and was a first time customer which will definitely come again.

This place is a great cross between some of the higher end modern hipster barber shops where you wouldnt dream of showing up without an appointment and the more traditional walk in mens shop. I highly recommend Nichole, especially if you want a beard trim to go with your cut. She takes her time and has a high attention to detail.

I can with 100% confidence say that I’ve yet to leave Cutz for Guys on anything other than a completely satisfied note since I started going to Catherine B a couple of months ago. The staff is courteous, responsive, and continues to prove that they are a force to be reckoned with in the Richmond area; the fact that their lobby is essentially always full should come as no surprise, and is definitely worth the wait even on the busiest of days. I went to Cutz for the first time after seeing a normal barber for the last 17ish years. Brittany came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Not a very good experience. Took my husband there since they seemed to specialize in haircuts for men. He had his hair cut at a Barber Shop last time and it went great. Went to this facility asking for the same haircut and they basically chopped off all of his hair and left an awkward tuft on the top. He was upset about the stylist using gloves to wash his hair because that is his favorite part and the gloves were uncomfortable on his head. Now he is going to have to wear a hat for our family pictures tomorrow because it looks like someone took a razor to the side of his head. Only reason it is getting 2 stars is because the people were apparently nice and I dont like leaving horrible reviews. Honestly, I could have provided a better hair cut and my husband wouldnt have to wear a hat for his pictures and he is very upset of what has happened to his hair. I would definitely recommend going to an actual Barber Shop for a mans haircut.

Best place to get a haircut in Richmond! Friendly staff, great stylists. Now they do appointments too! I have been coming here for 4 years every month. I have been bringing my 7 and 3 year old boys as well for the past few years. They love Haircut Day. Hilary is my stylist and she is fantastic!

I live in the city, yet I continue to drive out of my way to Short Pump to come here to get my hair cut. I go back every month because they are consistent. Megan and Tammy give me a great hair cut every time. They keep notes on how I like my hair cut on their computer, resulting in a consistently great haircut. I will be recommending them to anybody who asks. I would also like to add that the constantly updated Stylists and Schedules page on their website is a great tool for customers who prefer a specific stylist.

First cut I got here was descent so I decided to return. Today I got a crappy cut with lines in it. Some of these girls cut amazing and I could see that while I was waiting. I saw her last victim with lines but wanted to play nice. Soon as she started to cut my hair I knew she couldn’t cut. Y’all shouldn’t let guys walk out looking like that.

Valerie was the name that was on many reviews so I had to go with her. I can see why her name was mentioned so many times....she is an excellent stylist and asked me, before starting my haircut, what I wanted done. She is very friendly and was very easy to talk to while getting my haircut! In response to the review from Cyrus about our business model, we do not charge for trimming eyebrows or the hot steam towel we use after each haircut, those are complimentary. We do charge for waxing of eyebrows and a shampoo /steam towel service as stated on our chalkboard as you enter the salon. We offer these services separately instead of including them with the haircut price. We do this to keep the cost down for clients; some clients simply dont care about these upgrades although most men do. We love all reviews, it lets us see our salon through the clients eyes!

Been there a few times and have loved it every time. Ive used Hilary each time and she has nailed it each time. They are fair in their price to go along with a friendly fair staff. Love having the schedule posted, makes it so easy to schedule. I know where I will be going for the foreseeable future!

I absolutely love getting my hair cut at Cutz for Guys. I’m pretty particular about how I style my hair and it’s hard for me to find someone who does it exactly how I like it. Brittany knocks it out of the park every time!!! She mixes it up seasonally how I like it too “ I like it a little longer in the winter”. She cut my hair at another establishment years ago too; but she seems to be so much happier where she is today. I believe that’s because everyone there is so warm and friendly. When you walk in the door you’re typically greeted by a supah cool, very friendly girl named Lindzey. If you’re lucky enough and Hilary is there, she’ll make you melt with the way she smiles. Briana is bubbly and pretty funny, and Kara gives off this tough girl vibe; but I’m pretty sure she’s a big softy. Ive been going here for almost a year now, getting my hair cut by Kristin C. She always does an amazing job and knows exactly what I want. The other day I wanted to try something completely different, and even though I didnt even have an exact idea of what I wanted, she was still able to figure out what I was going for and gave me an awesome haircut. This is the only place where I have consistently great haircuts, and both Thuc and Jaz are exceptional at what they do.

I have been there twice and before that I had found my perfect cut. I wouldnt they are bad in any way, most people would be really happy after a haircut here. But if you are for the perfect cut, this aint the place. Spend some money and go to the place you really want to go to.
