I sent them an instrument cluster from my classic car that was completely dead. The team was very kind when I asked if they could evaluate it. Other shops had said they couldnt even take a look at it and turned me down almost instantly. Southern Electronics took mine in and fixed it in a very timely manner. They also included information on what was wrong with it before and tested it prior to sending it back. Very pleased!

Had them repair my cluster for my 1992 Corvette with a nonfunctional LCD. Had it back to me in less than a week. Cluster works perfectly now and the workmanship looks top notch. I swear I got it back cleaner than I gave it to them! Price was also right on point with others. Theyll be first in line for any future repairs for me!

So other similar shops can do what i am needing to do to my vehicle, they (other shops out of state)explained in great detail how they can do it, and THIS shop either doesnt want to or doesnt know how. would not recommend.

While they replaced the motherboard on my gauge cluster, their “guy” was unresponsive on my odometer chip, which was the main reason why I brought it there in the first place. If you have a vintage Chrysler with a digital gauge cluster, I do not recommend bringing it here for odometer chip problems. They had it seven weeks, I always had to call them, and it wasn’t fully fixed.

These guys fix antique car electronics. I sent them a broken instrument cluster for an import and they sent it back completely functional and restored. My mechanic happened to see the invoice and made comment on great workmanship and reasonable price.

I came to them with an instrument cluster problem: the backlight was not pumping out enough light which made all the gauges light up very poorly. I ordered new faces to be installed which also had its own light source.Quinton was the one to take up this job for me. It was a nightmare; the cluster came from my 2004 Chevy Corvette was a rather involving one to work on. He managed to get the job done though. In a way it almost feels like I’m driving a new car!Price is great, the home feel and customer service of this place is great, and the communication is great. 5/5 would recommend and will definitely come back for any future needs.

I sent in an instrument cluster from a 2000 Ford Mustang. The cluster had multiple problems--blown fuse, burnt diodes, pegged gauges etc. Most of the other instrument cluster rebuild companies I checked with were not set up to do such extensive repair on this particular cluster. I sent the cluster in, and about a week later it was back with all the problems resolved. Definitely worth the $205 it cost.

Had them fix the odometer on my 1991 Chevy K1500 instrument cluster. They fixed it and refurbished the cluster within a week. I put it back in and it has worked perfect ever since. Only thing that made me mad was I scratched my newly refurbished plexiglass cover putting the cluster back in LOL. Very happy with their work.

Yeah so took my cluster in to get looked at, I expected them to give me a call before they went ahead and fixed it but I didnt get a call. I get a call the next day saying the cluster is fixed and its gonna be upwards of 200$. Yeah they can keep that cluster, I already bought a used one for 75$ instead.Call your customers before you make repairs please.

I had my 1997 Jaguar XK8 Coupe radio rebuilt by Southern Electronics. They gave me a great turn around, in less than a week. Their staff was very attentive to what needed to be done. They took a look at my 69 impala dash and had the speedometer working great. They checked my fuel gauge too. They were unable to repair my clock, but old clocks are hard to find for these cars.

The CD player in my 1997 Volvo 960 jammed. Southern electronics repaired the CD player very quickly. Shipping via UPS was efficiently done. The player is working well. The charge was much lower than a replacement unit from the dealer.Phone calls to Southern electronics were answered quickly. I am pleased with the overall experience.

Sent a cluster out for repair on a 17 pathfinder took just under a week we got it back. Installed and works as good as new. Stuck right to the original estimate.

Charged me $90 to get speedometer calibration test but they didnt fix the problem, if I knew thats the only thing they will do test I wouldve taken my van to the dealer and got it fixed even if it cost me more. What a rip-off.

Only place we will send our older Ford clusters for repair, and even send in some of the new over head modules. They are always timely on the turn around and either right on what they quoted or under! So glad we found them as no one in Alaska repairs those modules as reliably as Southern Electronics.

We have a Chevy Suburban where the speedometer and the battery gage were not working. We removed the cluster (their video showed us easily how to do it!) and then sent it in. We live all the way in Colorado but it still only took 8 working days to get it back and the time was mainly in shipping. They did our repair in one day and had it shipped back to us the very same day. Everyone I talked to on the phone was polite and helpful. Also, their quote was exactly accurate. We now have our cluster reinstalled and it works great! Now this a company that deserves 5 stars!

Its been a while since I have been here, and I have no needs for them at this time. There were helpful of course and I still have the MTV box I bought from them years ago. But I wish they would change their name and make it more relevant as this business keeps coming up when I search for electrical components for hobby making. Its not a quote on quote electronics store (like Radio Shack).

Ive used Douthern Electronics a couple of times with great results! Sometimes things happen that may cause us grief, but they have always done a good job for me. People tend to forget that with newer vehicles the battery should be disconnected every time ANY electronic disconnect or connect is made. If not, it screws up the computer system as the system is always live. This goes for headlamp and turn signal assemblies. Dont complain if it is YOUR fault!!!

Took my car to Southern Electronics because my CD was stuck and not working. The guys here fixed the CD player at half the cost the dealer wanted to charge me. Not only were they on their toes for getting the job done, the entire staff I dealt with was friendly. I will go here time after time for all my car radio needs and problems! One thing I always look for is a friendly atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. Everyone in that office/company deserves credit for how they treated this customer.

The engine light was out on my 2004 lexus, it has LED lights, its not just a replacement of a 194 bulb... looked around for a used instrument cluster, all were couple hundred dollars... in my search I came across Southern Electronics, which will repair it. I called, they gave me a quote of $100, which includes shipping both ways. I printed out the shipping lable, and off it went, I had it back in under a week. Great job, quick service.

Really happy with the repairs they did to my Chevy Silverado cluster.My odometer was broken and not counting miles and some of the gauges where inaccurate,also had some backlights out. At first, I was very skeptical to mail my $2000 Mark Levinson CD player to any repair shop by mail. But the Southern Electronics staff has been very diligent in diagnosing and repairing my system that Ill never send my stereo system repair needs to any other place but Southern Electronics. The intermittent problem with my system was very difficult to diagnose and repair. Southern Electronics stood behind Their 1 year warranty when a different malfunction with my system appeared. I paid no shipping charges whatsoever and my system was repaired free of charge under warranty. All and all I give them a two thumbs up. Thank you for a great experience with my CD player repair. I could not be any happier.

The instrument cluster in my 2004 Silverado was acting like it had been possessed, with gauges pointing to impossible values or not working at all, I was convinced that the spirit of a Ford had somehow infected my Chevy. I watched the Southern Electronics YouTube video on how to remove it from the dash, piece of cake. I dropped it off, told the counter guy Id be back in a few days to pick it up. He called before I got back to my office to tell me that it was ready for pickup. It was back in my truck in no time, and working like a charm. Another happy customer.

Sent in our Ford Escape Hybrid NAV radio. The GPS had stopped working. While they were unable to replicate the problem at my request they did rebuild the entire radio for the originally quoted price and got it back to us...and it now works. This radio is no longer available from Ford so this service was invaluable to us.
