Looking for a reliable auto mechanics? Look no farther, Preston is the place. We have tried many auto shops locally for State Inspections, tire replacements, and repairs. We really liked the consistency, customer care and trust that we get at the Preston. They have always done a great job and their price was fair. When my daughter needed two new tires, Justin shopped for us like he was replacing tires for his own car. He found reliable tires with budget in mind. For State Inspections, we normally drop our car off the day before in the evening, it will be ready early next day. We are thankful that we have Preston to rely on.

Outstanding response to an urgent need to have a wheel hub and tire replacement after bouncing off a curb. They were extremely courteous and patient, while handling my emergency situation with quick resposive service. They far exceeded my expectations and would recommend them to anyone requiring excellent care and service.

Aside from a state inspection, I DO NOT recommend using Prestons for your auto repair needs. Giving them the benefit of the doubt on overcharging for services beyond an original estimate -- even after requesting they call first before proceeding if they found anything else that needed repair -- they charged me almost double the original estimate. My son took another vehicle in to check the spark plugs and they charged him $130 to replace brand new spark plugs and $27 additional for diagnostics. No more business from or family.

Took my truck for two front tires to be replaced . Twenty four hours later they called me to come and pick it up! When I get there I saw one of the tires is still flat ( brand new) ! Then they said come back tomorrow! I came back to pick up the truck for second time and I saw the second new tire is flat !!! They told me to come back again tomorrow! Came back and they charged me for second time! Although they never fixed it in the first time! I told them you didnt fixed the tires before and they started to get angry at me ! For their own fault ! I dont recommend this shop at all and advise you not to lose your money !

Had an issue with my A/C on the first warm day of the year. Took it here one afternoon last week and they showed me where the pinhole leak was coming from. Wasn’t a huge deal, had the part in the next morning and a few hours later I was good to go.Definitely recommended.

Prestons is nothing short of amazing! They have serviced 3 vehicles of ours, always professional, fast and priced affordable. We have NEVER been disappointed! Prestons has been around a LONG time, a lot their clients are of an older generation that dont fuss with the computer and making reviews. Dont pass this place up, they really are great!

My family has always has great experiences with Prestons. Weve used them not only for yearly inspections but also some repairs. The prices were fair and the customer service has been excellent every time.

These guys are very good. Left my Jaguar with them for a leaking fuel line repair, brake fluid change and inspection. I was expecting all that to take up to a week - they had it done in less than a day! Will definitely be using them again.

Very quick service. But. Mechanic kept shooting the bird to scratch his face everytime a customer was talking with him.

Me and wife needed state inspection so we stop by precision auto repair services on or trip in Richmond they say the all four brakes needs to be replaced and thay attempting to charge $600 to replace them I looked online and found a price for 37 bucks I can do it at home or find someone for way cheaper. Precision is a scam... At most the price should be no more then $150.00 for all 8 parts and labor added seance thay got tools for a faster job so do you math people. I will not go back to them even my car broken down at there shop or in front of it. i just my take the time out of my day if i did not have a job to protest there store!!!!

I have had my car serviced/inspected here the last couple of years, and I will have to agree with Brett Shaffer... they are a bit rough around the edges, but a great group of guys who obviously know what they are doing. Quick, Cheap, and SUPER convenient!

Almost didnt go to Prestons because of so many bad reviews but gave them the benefit of the doubt since theyve been in business for so long. That was a mistake. While I wouldnt consider their prices a rip off, they are definitely on the high side. Took my car there for an inspection after having my regular mechanic check it out first (he doesnt do inspections). They failed it for rear brakes and wanted quite a bit to replace them. Took it back to my regular mechanic and had him do the repairs (for $100 less than Prestons). The real kicker though is that the brakes should NOT have failed. Though worn, they were still legal and shouldve passed. I will not be a repeat customer.

They didnt pass my GF car because of a check engine light. Thats Chicken X but I still trust them, way better than any other SStation in West End but they are slipping some. What does a check engine light have to do with anything, really.

Been taking our vehicles here for 12 years and have always been treated fairly. This business was established the year I was born so it sort of has a connection with me somehow lol.

Said they would fix an issue Monday and didnt get the car back til Thursday. By then they had broken the automatic seat on the drivers side. Not to mention they left a tool inside the wheel hub that could have killed us and ruined tire/shocks.When we brought it in so they could fix said issues, the manager said he Might fit it in. Understandably upset we said they needed to do it today. Why is it our problem for what they messed up? The manager then said they refused to fix the issues and to leave.Beware! Shoddy work and bad service!

Very expensive and bad service. They want to charge me hundred dollars for replacing cigarette outlet that it take only 10 minutes. when I cancelled the repair, they charge me forty-five dollars without doing any service to get the key as they said .
