I’d recommend this tow company to anyone. My suburban engine blew on 95 while hauling my horse trailer on a Friday evening of a holiday weekend. Dennis towing was the only tow company to answer the phone, and dispatched someone immediately. Trey was top notch, can’t recommend him enough. Prompt, kept me informed of his ETA, and is very experienced with a super clean truck. Very reasonable rates as well. Thank you Trey and Dennis towing for making an awful situation as painless as possible!

We pulled in we had a spacer go loose on our Dooley they let us get repaired quickly the owner was incredibly nice it was hotter than hell outside and they did everything they could to help us I would refer no one else for a medium, heavy, or light tow in Richmond but Dennis towing..

I never visited this company! I only stopped to let my dog walk. I only felt comfortable leaving a neutral rating since I dont know squat about the place.

I was involved in a terrible accident on Dec 12th. The police dispatched this company. Not me. The lady on the phone is rude as all get out. I went up there the next day Sunday at the Maury location listed online to find out they are closed and only tow on weekends. Also, I was informed my car was at an alternate lot in Henrico (who would have known). On Monday I call to verify my car is with them and then set a time later for me to come get some things out of my vehicle since it will likely be totaled. The lady says what time you coming? I told her between 1:30 and 2pm. Keep in mind I now have no car because it is sitting in their lot totaled. I ubered up to the location and was there exactly at 1:30.. there is no attendant there, just a lot which wasnt explained so when I called to ask if someone could help me she responds I wasnt going to have my driver sit there all day with a whole attitude. First off, my daughter and I came up in and are standing in the cold at a gate we cannot get into. Second, you never said no one would be at the location and the only way to enter was to have a driver meet to let me in. When the driver himself actually called me he was nice and told me he was 5 minutes away and them came and let me in etc with no problem. Next incident, my insurance is telling my vehicle was released because the woman on the phone at Dennis Towing said I gave a verbal release. Lies. I never would have done that because talking to her is impossible for one. So I called the number and she answers like this I dont know you need to call the other number very rude. What other number by the way??? When people are trying to track down their vehicle a little kindness could go a long way. She is very short and does not give full information, nor should she have released my vehicle without my permission. I think the dispatch ladies will be the downside of this company and from what I see from others comments, it a happens all the time. We have done nothing to this lady so the attitude is completely unnecessary and personally an individual who was just involved in an accident like myself does not need a towing company adding unnecessary stress and drama to the situation.

Great Service!

Was nice enough when I called. Said it would be about 45 min before they could have someone to me. Tried to call back after an hour, but it went straight to voicemail. Called from my husbands phone and they picked right up. Said he would be right over, that he was just finishing up another job. Waited another half an hour, tried to call back again and still goes straight to voicemail. So after two hours, still no tow truck and no way to call them.

Wonderful service. They arrived within 15 mins of my call and the service was the cheapest that I was able to find in the city

My sister and her friend were stranded and the woman who answers the the phones on the 24/7 Line kept hanging up on them saying she was sleeping! She put them In danger, and was completely unprofessional! Saying she was going to block them if they kept calling! Maybe don’t have 24/7 is in the name of your business if your going to be rude and unprofessional when called off hours!

Called Dennis towing to get towed to the local Freightliner and I received great response time and reasonable pricing.The driver Daniel, was very professional and represented Dennis Towing very well. Will recommend more then 5 stars !!!

They communicated with me and kept me updated. They took great care of me on the drive back to home and were able to drop it in a surprisingly snug position for my convenience. Guy was great and friendly. They were awesome.

Called for a tow after getting in an accident. The guy looked my car over and said, You know what, youre safe to just drive this to the mechanic yourself. Save yourself the towing costs. This is after taking the time to drive out to me. Really classy dude.

Receptionist when i called was very polite and helpful. Was expecting a long wait because it was a snow day but Brandon was in the area and got to my car in literally 6 minutes from when i initially called. Brandon was quick, efficient, and a great guy. He gave me a ride to the shop while he towed my car and was a safe driver in the snow. I can’t speak highly enough of my experience today. Brandon is great at his job.

Drivers are reckless. Almost ran into me with my kids in the car. He was running a red light.... I called the dispatcher she didnt care and had a very nasty attitude. I ended up having to call the state police about it.Edit for the owner...This was in fact a Saturday. I had the right of way seeing as how I was making a left turn from off of 95 onto Maury street and he was in fact leaving your business lot. So yes, he ran a light. Even if he was in fact responding to an emergency call for police, he still has safety protocols he is to follow. Point blank. And, when I called the lady did in fact have a nasty demeanor as well as an attitude. And, to add what employee is going to willingly admit to having an attitude. Not one. And, to end if you do have cameras in the vehicle or even on them. Then you, yourself would have seen exactly what I am speaking about. Your company didnt care when I called to make the complaint. Do not care because I put this negative review up.

Thank you so much for saving the day Brian! Im from Fredericksburg and dont know Richmond well. After picking my dad up from the hospital, pancreatic cancer, my car blew up on 95. Its over 100 with the heat index today. I had my 3 daughters 5, 8, and 11 along with myself and my dad sitting on the side of 95. I called about 6 other companies before this one. They were all too busy or didnt feel like dealing with my kids because the 5yo is in a booster seat still. So they just left us hanging! While waiting an accident happened right beside us. My 5yo and 8yo were so scared. Brian came quickly as he could with traffic the way it was and his first concern was getting my dad and kids in his truck. He was friendly and helped load the girls and my dad who was very weak. Once home he helped my dad and kids out the truck before unloading the car. He went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and comfortable. Thank you so much for making a bad situation a little better!

I had a situation with a loaded trailer sinking in the mud about to roll over. I called Dennis Towing and Recovery for help. They promptly sent out a 50 ton rotator to assist. The truck was clean and well equipped with all the proper chains and rigging to handle most any job. The driver, Scott, assessed the situation and devised a plan. He executed the plan flawlessly recovering the trailer without damage. The price was reasonable and fair, I would definitely use their service again if needed. Thanks again Scott for all your help.

My car broke down on me on the interstate one morning. Before I was able to get back and pick it up. The state police calls Denniss towing to tow my car. The lady who answers the phone is like talking to a thug. Very unprofessional. Has no business answering the phone - dealing with the public

I called two other tow companies with no response as I was stuck on the side of the highway. Dennis Towing and Recovery answered immediately. The receptionist was very kind and prompt. Brandon was on his way shortly after the call, and let me know his ETA. He got to me off of 64 and back to my house in no time.These guys are fantastic. Not only are they reliable and prompt, but they are fairly priced. I will be recommending these guys to everybody I know.

They were really helpful My tire had popped on the highway on 95 south bound after hanging up, 5 min later the tow truck driver called me and was very polite, respectful and FAST he helped me find a local tire shop in the area It took him 5 min to get to me after hanging up I have never had service like this from a towing company I just wanna thank them for all there help and helping my nightmare be actually being a sweet dream I also made it to work on time too 🙌🏿 !! They are the go to for towing with me. Pricing is reasonable.They lost a star because I had to wait until daylight for them to retrieve my car because I lived in a Black neighborhood and they dont do those neighborhoods at night. (not kidding, the tow driver told me this)

Brian was super accommodating and spoke to me like i was an actual human being which is hard with most towing companies when you’re a girl. He helped find where my car was impounded and helped me deal with Shank’s Towing Company’s rude employees. If i’m ever stranded in Richmond again, Dennis’ will be the only company i use!!

He even gave me an initial diagnosis on my car. (unasked, and it helped me to work with the shop). These folks are great, a pleasure to work with. Absolutely HORRIBLE. NOT A COMPANY FOR STRANDED TRAVELERS!!! I called to get my car towed, told it would be 45 minutes. I waited an hour before calling to check. The receptionist told me they should be there any time and would have the driver call me. Waited another hour. Called and left a message to see what was up. I called 3 times before leaving a message, they were purposely not answering. I was nothing but nice to them and very easy going about them getting a truck to help me and this is the service I get. I have worked with cars my entire life and countless towing companies, this is without a doubt the WORST experience I could ever have. DO NOT USE DENNIS TOWING AND RECOVERY!!!

I would recommend this company for thier great customer service, timely manner, fair price and going above and beyond helping turn my day around. Terrible experience. After 45 minutes the driver still had not arrived. We instructed where to tow the vehicle and when we went to check on it, no vehicle. We then called and the same woman answered and was extremely rude. She said they refused to tow and that the driver had tried to contact us. No voicemail was left with us to know. It is probably for the best that another company ended up towing the vehicle. Terrible, terrible company.

Keith from Dennis Towing came by today and picked up my car, he was quick, efficient and very pleasant. The entire experience with Dennis Towing was pleasant from the initial call to the tow truck driver and the wait was not long at all.

My tow guy was very friendly and let me know pretty quickly his ETA. He let me know how close he was and even suggested a decent shop to get a tire.

My tractors drive shaft broke at the exit less than 5 minutes from the shop. they agreed to one price but then changed their mind when they came out and hooked up charging a whole other price. when I refused to pay the excess they impounded my loaded truck and tried to get my driver arrested for trespassing. when I called the state troopers they lied and said they were working on my truck for over 3 hours and needed $400 more than agreed to. at this point Dennis himself was involved and would not release my truck. I would not recommend them to save a life. these people are the scum of the earth preying on people who they think cannot defend themselves.

They do good reasonably priced work but have never given an accurate time frame estimate.

Called to get a price and the lady hung the phone up on me and when I called back to talk to a supervisor she laughed at me and said there was nobody to talk to.

The worst experience in cranes that I have had on the phone, they give me a price for 2 hours and when the guy arrives he gets angry, he did not get 20 minutes and he charged me almost double ENOUGH BAD

Thanks for their opportunity to sell my Dodge here at auction. The only thing I didnt like that the fees are not nominal for me. For example Repokar I paid less fee when I sold my other car. I would recommend repokar to everybody to check it out and to use when it is going about the selling ones vehicles!

I would not recommend taking any vehicle to Denniss I worked there for a day before being called on my way to work the next day telling me that I was not fast enough and they would not need my services I still have not received pay for the hours that I worked that was several months ago I also watched several mechanics while there perform illegal and immoral practices while working on customer vehicles take you vehicles to metro or any other shop for repairs if you want it done right
