Peeks installed my flooring. They moved my furniture in order to install the flooring. They broke my Flexsteel recliner, which is now un-usable. They take no responsibility for fixing the recliner. In addition, the installation of the flooring was very sloppy. VERY SLOPPY. DON’T use Peeks Flooring! The installers rushed, turning a three day estimated installation into one & one half days. That’s how the chair was broken and why the job looks sloppy. When you sign to indicate that the flooring was completely installed, you release Peeks from liability for furniture damage, so beware!
Installers failed to supply enough tile to complete the job. Rescheduled but failed to show on three different occasions. On last visit they committed to 8-12 appointment but did not show until 3pm and still didnt have enough tile to complete the job. Work is still not complete six weeks after purchase.
BE CAREFUL! We were referred to Peeks and we met with Bill. All seemed well at first, real friendly and personable. We found some nice carpet and he headed out to our new house to measure the space. He sent us the estimate and I could not believe it. Apparently my tape measure was broken. Suddenly my house grew 224 sq ft. I could not believe my luck. Bills magic tape measure had grown my house. I had to go to the hardware store and get a new tape measure and see this for myself. Turns out it was Bills tape measure that was broken. Well long story short, Bill adjusted his inflated numbers and we reluctantly went with Peeks. But wait thats not all. Today they installed the new carpet, the installers did a good job but the remaining payment due was still higher than what we had finally agreed on not by much but still. This guy does not give up. Oh and I have a bunch of extra carpet. Buyer beware and double check those measurements. Needless to say we will not be spending any more money at Peeks.
We went with Peeks due to good reviews on NextDoor and Google. Getting carpet for just our living room has been nothing short of a fiasco. Admittedly it took me a month or so to decide on a carpet, we go in and order, they come measure, etc, I pay. They call the following week to tell us that the carpet is discontinued and we need to pick a different carpet. Why are there carpet samples on their sales floor of discontinued products? They make us feel pressured to come back and find a new carpet instead of offering to refund our money.I return a few weeks later, show examples of items I have found online from the same manufacturer and they don’t have them. Salesperson is very nice, but not helpful in finding a similar style. Finally find a carpet to order (don’t love it, but am tired of dealing with this); the company calls to schedule install date which was supposed to be today. I am given a window of 8-12. The lady tells me they usually arrive between 8 and 9. At 10 I haven’t heard anything so I call just to get an ETA. Somehow we aren’t on the schedule. You’ve got to be kidding me! I took off work today for this, no offer to get someone out today but they say they can do it tomorrow. I tell them that I took off work and need it done today and they say they will call me back in thirty minutes.Apparently they are still working on trying to get it done today, which is extremely doubtful based on the time. I have asked to speak to a manager and was told no managers are there currently but they are aware of this issue. It’s almost 1pm and I still don’t have a call back regarding a status. Would not recommend doing business with them.
They robbed me. Took absolutely everything I had then demanded to know why I called the cops. Years later I discovered another client of theirs who experienced the same ordeal. With regard to the work they did the sales guy insisted I had to pay for 20% more square footage than I had (just In case) but when finished they had 1 tile left. Its been awhile since I left a detailed review, but the passive aggressive thanks I just got deserved a reply. Youre welcome Brandy, I want my grandmothers wedding ring back.
I worked with Phong Pham at the Richardson location to pick out a carpet for our home. He was prompt with his thorough measurements and estimate. He guided me through the process and made recommendations that I appreciated. Carpet was installed and the crew cleaned up nicely. I can see why Peek’s has been in business for so long. It was a pleasure to work with them.
Our carpet, we had bought from Peeks, had stretched in several rooms. I have come to learn this is not uncommon. The carpet is 5 years old and wears like iron. Customer service was prompt and well detailed. The repair people called ahead of time and showed up when promised. Lastly, they did a great job. When it comes time for replacement, I probably will not look anywhere else. Highly recommend!
We purchased engineered hardwood floors and installation from this store. The installation was over concrete slab. Never once did the sales or installation suggest we purchase a moisture barrier which we now know we should have. Our floor is virtually ruined as it has buckled in several places. They refused to make it right. This happened within 6 months of installation. They are not an honorable company.
I cant say enough about how great this company is! Ive been using them for over 15 years for two different houses I have owned and also at the business where I worked. Tom Size is always so great in helping me make decisions on whatever type of flooring Im selecting. The quality of work their installation contractors perform is second to none. No short cuts here! Every installation experience both on the residential and commercial side has been amazing. I would recommend Peeks Floors to anyone looking for new flooring!
Beautiful selection, beyond terrible display of products and just as bad on customer service. This is the type of store you would come to if you know EXACTLY what you’re looking for.If you don’t it’s like going shopping in a clothing store where everything is thrown on a rack and you have to dig for something you might like. With so many store options, this store makes no sense to me. If it were a large discount store, then yes it would make sense, but it’s not.
We purchased hard wood floors, tile, and carpet from Peaks Floor Company and Tom Size was great to work with. Tom was very helpful, informative, offered suggestions and recommendations and made our purchasing decision and installment so much easier. Awesome place who will take care of you and your flooring needs. Would highly recommend purchasing here.
Outstanding customer service and very friendly staff! They were so knowledgeable about their inventory which made my decision making much easier. I would highly recommend them for flooring needs.
Great customer service! I went in looking for laminate flooring for a small room. They had exactly what I was looking for. Thanks John Stacy for making the selection process quick and easy. Will definitely recommend to all my friends.
Peeks refinished our antique hardwood floors in a room that had been covered with nasty carpet, plywood subflooring, and black adhesive. Their price was great compared to other shopping around we did, and the quality of the work was excellent. They had to patch two areas in the floor as well, but the refinished floors blend in with our other existing hardwoods, and it looks great. We did have some challenges getting scheduled, and then didnt get the right information about helping the floors to dry, so I ended up accidentally messing up the finish. Still, they sent someone out to fix the finish, and the floors were ready by the time we were moving into the new house.I feel the price and quality of work, as well as the helpful service, outweigh any challenges. We would definitely use Peeks again!
Tom Size with Peeks has been assisting me with carpet choices and installation for years. Love working with him and have always been pleased with the products and service. I will continue to use Tom and Peeks in the future!
Peeks in Richardson made the remodeling process easy! They have a great selection of all types of flooring and were very professional and friendly. I will definitely use them again!
We recently used Peeks to update our entire house with new carpet and vinyl plank. Our house looks amazing! Before choosing Peeks, we shopped around and visited different show rooms. However, as soon as we visited Peeks, the decision was easy. They were friendly, had everything we were looking for, and had the best price of any competitor. The installation crew did a great job, and our Sales Rep (Phong Pham) followed up on the progress throughout the process to ensure everything was okay. We will definitely use Peeks for any future flooring needs!
Pure professional. Very dedicated. Helped me when in a hopeless situation.
The Peeks Flooring store in Richardson has wonderful customer service and a huge inventory to chose from. They were so friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend them for all your flooring needs!
The staff were all friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service. I highly recommend!
I would not recommend these guys for installing - they use contractors and have no structure in place to assure the contractors do a good job and you are happy. They had us pay in full before the job was started and that was a mistake on our end. First of all, it took 6+ days to install a backspash in my kitchen and tile my small back porch and front step area. I have no idea why, because I was forced to leave their installer alone in my house. Why, you ask? Well, my husband took off work to be at the house on the Friday they were to do the work..... and they didnt even show up that day! So he wasted a day off to not even have the job started. The guy came and did a little work that Saturday, then came back Monday. I had to reschedule several appointments so I could be there. He was here from 8am-4pm and still didnt finish. Not even close! My husband and I couldnt take off any more time, and we wanted the job finished, so we just had to leave him. He worked Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and still didnt finish. I have no idea how long or what he did those days. Thursday he said he would come back after another job he had Friday morning!!! Well, he texted my husband and said he couldnt make it. My husband said that was unacceptable, as we needed to have our kitchen back in order. He had to call Peeks and finally got the guy to come finish the job. He left my kitchen very dirty, grout all over the walls and drips down every appliance. He left holes in the grout, and black marks on the tile from where he measured to cut. There were also two hollow tiles on the front porch. My husband called Peeks again and requested they send someone else out to finish the job, but they talked him into letting the guy redeem himself. He had to come back that next Monday to fix the problems. Keep in mind, we have been without a normal kitchen for a week. He did return, fixed some of the problems. The rest we just chalked up to a bad situation as we are just done. Not once did Peeks seem concerned their guy wasnt up to standard or come out to inspect the job. Though would definitely not use this business for installation, I did like their tile selection.
Dustin Dykes was absolutely amazing with his knowledge and experience. He was very helpful with his suggestions and diligence in getting my husband and I the best possible price. The installation went smoother than I dreamed it could. Everyone we dealt with was professional, extremely nice and they did a phenomenal job on our entire house. I will continue to recommend Dustin at Peeks to anyone who has flooring needs.Thank you Dustin and the entire team who worked on our house its beautiful and I am more than pleased with how the entire process went.
I had a major emergency today. My house is on market, we had a bathroom leak that went undetected all weekend while we were out of town and soaked carpet in adjacent bedroom and stained beyond repair. I called first thing Tuesday morning before store hours and Ed answered the phone and assured me they could help. When I arrived, I was thrilled to see that Bill, who had assisted us over 15 years ago was still there. I arrived about 10:15, picked out a beautiful Kazastan remnant. By 1:30 today my bedroom had a beautiful new floor at under $500. Bill helped us 15 years ago when we moved into our home and now as we ready it to move out - he and his installers were there to assist us in our hour of need. Its great to be able to depend a solid and reputable company such as Peeks. Ask for Bill or Ed - they are top notch in our book.
Great prices! Ended up with excess cases, it took 2 months for them to process the return. The owner and son were really nice and processed the return.
A scam cost 1 to 3 grand more then other places and the floors they installed ruined after two years. Thay also denied warenty because of the dogs we have even though when I bought the floors I specifically pointed out that I have a kid and two large dogs who I showers pictures of but was still told these floors would work. Sadly looks like I have to get new floors already out of my pocket as the floors are giving peopel splinters dont waist your time or money here.
This is the best place to do business with for anyone if you are a Church its a must to go here. The Surge Center Dallas,TX
Peeks representative Ed did a great a great job at my home so we recommended him to my 85 yr old mom.Ed saved my mother $1,275 and did an outstanding job. Didnt have to negotiate at all.
Phong at the store on 75 was great. Very knowledgeable & explained all my options. The installation was on time & looks fantastic. Thanks again for you help!
Phong was great and the install quality was good but the contractors they sent to work on our floor were extremely messy among other things. The manager never reached out to me despite multiple attempts.
We’ve worked with Peek’s on several remodeling projects for our home and have had a great experience each time. Phong Pham has assisted us with our projects and is both knowledgeable regarding all of the products they sell (tile, wood, carpet and other finishes) and professional. We highly recommend Phong and Peek’s.
So far tile removal and new wood floors going ok, but be aware that square footage on installing might be BIGGER than square footage on the bid. You, the buyer, LOSE.
This particular Peeks location has given me great customer service so far.
Mr Phong Pham took the time to be helpful, and actually seemed to care about my flooring needs..I was totally great full.... I would recommend him and Peeks Floors to all my family and friends..
We bought all new floors, Pinnacle wood, Karastan carpet and Ceramic Tile - timely install, very satisfied !
Tom was very helpful! I was looking for a speciality piece and he did what he could to find it.
We made an appt for Peeks to measure and give an estimate, but they showed up over an hour late. They didnt even bother to call or apologize. They definitely lost our business.
Met this company in September of 2016. Very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive to details.
Very friendly quality assistance Just ask for Tom!
THANK YOU to John Stacy in the Richardson location for exceptionally great service and a free carpet remnant!
