Ive been going to Richardson Saw & Lawnmower for almost 20 years. Wonderful sales and customer service. Ive bought my blower, grass trimmer, and most recently a chainsaw. Chandler was very patient, answered all my questions, and walked through the chainsaw startup process. Excellent customer service! The prices are the same or very competitive with Home Depot and Lowes so I dont know why you would go anywhere other than Richardson Saw & Lawnmower. Their service department is equally impressive.

Needed to buy a new zero turn mower for my 7 acre property in Wylie. Spent a few days driving around to different dealerships and evaluating zero turn mowers. Decided on buying a SCAG from RSL for two reasons - the quality of the product and the service demonstrated by the folks there. I hope to have a long, lasting relationship with my SCAG AND RSL.
I bought a new 200.00 weed trimmer. I received good advice and noone tried to oversell me. An employee went outside to make sure the trimmer started up. It didnt. Thank goodness he cared enough to give it a go. He got me another weed trimmer. This one cranked right up. I appreciate the good customer service. All employees wore masks.😷 Equally thankful for that. Better customer service than the big box stores.

Henry went well above and beyond customer service to help me find out what happened and got the part reordered. He not only took my call, but instead of putting me on hold said he would call me back, he did twice to give me updates on what happened. All this great service for a 2.00 part. Remarkable in this current climate to get such great service. Henry, you are great.
Richardson Saw & lawnmower has helped me multiple times and finding the items that I needed. They also provided me with a great weed eater which I love the quality and how well and easy it is to use. They have helped me find other parts for my other equipment that I have and been very helpful and enjoyable to work with. Warning!! Ridiculous restocking policy. Even if you return the same day must pay 25% restocking fee. Doesnt matter how much business you bring in with repairs and other purchases, or if you are just trading for a higher model. Not willing to work with the customer.

I dont write a lot of reviews, but sometimes Im so pleased with a business I want everyone to experience what I have. I recently made a mistake when trying to buy a chainsaw on my own from a big box store. Nothing was wrong with it, it just wasnt up to the tasks I needed it for. Thankfully I was able to return it, but I could have saved a lot of time if I had just headed to Richardson Saw first. Today Chandler helped me make a decision on a new saw, and after using it for a few hours today I couldnt be happier.I grew up around chainsaws, but we only used them a few times a year. I have some basic knowledge, but needed help. Chandler spent a lot of time with me comparing models and explaining things with just the right amount of laymens terms. There was never any pressure to buy one over the other or even one at all. Richardson Saw caters to a lot of professionals, and thats one of the reasons I ended up buying from there. They have a Platinum certified technician for Stihl, one of if not the only in the state, meaning they are the experts if any issues arise. I like to buy from smaller businesses when I can (the other saw was a new release and only available at the big boxes), and Richardson Saw is just the right size to have generous hours. I called to ask some questions about getting my machine looked at and the guy who answered was very aggressive on the phone. He told me how the government had this conspiracy about corn oil in my gas and I needed to buy his $20 gas. I understand how ethanol works, but did ethanol break my spark plug off in the block...I am doubtful. So I hung up and called again later and a younger guy was very well spoken and polite in telling me the easiest way to get the old plug out.I guess my impression is mixed if you call and get one guy he will jump to conclusions and treat you poorly...others will solve your problem.
I just want to give a shout out to Greg and RSL. I called them yesterday morning, knowing that they are closed on the inside due to the CV19 situation. I was a bit hesitant to buy a new piece of equipment without seeing it in-person. After talking to Greg on the phone and weighing my options, I pulled the trigger on a new Stihl KM91R with edger and trimmer attachments. By the time I drove down to the store they had it ready for me. Greg met me outside (in mask, gloves, and all) to hand over my trimmer/edger and personally walk me through its features. Great service as always, especially in these times... Thank you.

Had to bring two zero turn rear tires here to get them replaced and instead of having to come back and pick them up the next day they put a rush on it and replaced them and installed them on the rim while I waited. I was very pleased with their service and willingness to rush it in my time of need.

Brought my 52 Scag Freedom Z in for repair. Fabian had great customer service at the counter, was very helpful, and gave me an accurate estimate of when I could expect my mower back. I called to check on my mower a few days later and Eric couldnt have been more helpful. He checked to see if my mower was ready, and when he found out it wasnt, he went a step further and found that the part had come in, but hadnt been received into the system yet. He told me he would try to get the part received, and try to get the mechanic (Chris) to install it by the end of the day. Less than an hour later Chris called me to let me know it was ready. When I got there, Chris thoroughly explained the work he had done and let me know what to keep an eye out for. Being a commercial guy, I appreciate the great experience I had here, and Im thankful to get my mower back as soon as I did. Top notch quality and service! Richardson Saw & Lawnmower is A1!
Hands down the most competent, honest, and customer service oriented small engine shop in the DFW area. Just super nice people - you can deal directly with the owner.Another shop indicated my 1 year old Honda EU6500is generator was ruined because I operated it on Propane - no warranty coverage sorry. {would you like to buy a new one for $4,100?}Richardson Saw took a more pragmatic approach. They tore down the engine and even called in the regional Honda Tech Rep to inspect (and invited me to attend the inspection). Running on Propane may have accelerated wear on the exhaust valve and seat. But it by no means ruined my engine. One week later with a new head (only $400) my generator runs LIKE NEW. My goal is to get 10,000 hours on this little generator, I am half way there.I was already a Honda customer for life. Now I am a Richardson Saw customer for life. Good work.
These guys are amazing Im building a cabin from scratch and running oil rigs so my time is limited to. Chandler really did me way better than he had to. He got me completely set up with everything requested along with my new Echo Cs-800P beast of a saw. Extra bars. Chains .And everything. Service - Although on the higher side you get what you pay for. I took my mower here for a cable to be replaced ($108) and they cleaned it up too. They also added oil and tuned up the self propel function, the mower runs better than it did new. I gave 4 stars just because of the price but the service department is very professional and prompt.

Prompt service, repair cost was as estimated with no surprises, and they cleaned and power washed my mower. I even think they repaired my self propelled mechanism at no charge. Recommend and will use again in the future.

Service is okay. The people that work there are pretty weird(those two Caucasian cashiers are weird for sure lol) They dont say hi when you go in, when you ask something they respond you in a weird way. The way they sound make you think that theyre hardcore rednecks that dont wanna serve you lol. The first time i went there, I asked the young dude to replace the part that was messed up over there. he said its fine and charged me 12 bucks which is so cheap its cool but thats not the thing that was weird. after that, he picked up the part that was messed up and held it up showing me and made fun of it. and the other old dude laughed. I was like yall okay bro?? go to a therapist or something lol theyre so weird out there. they might be on some kinda drugs or something lol. Be safe who ever goes there lol! But like I said, the service is fine, they fix your part fast or get you the part you need. the payment process is pretty fast too theyll get you a huge paper receipt when you make a payment.

Went in to purchase a sthil multi tool weed eater and blower. I had done some research online prior to showing up and thought I knew exactly what I wanted. After speaking with the salesman we determined that the Echo was a great product and much better fit my needs. They were extremely friendly and helpful. They even walked me thru certain maintenance items that I needed to perform on on lawn equipment that was not purchased at their store. If you need lawn equipment or maintenance done, I would definitely suggest you go see these guys.

I came in looking for one nice trimmer with an edger attachment. The sales guy spent a good 20 minutes answering my questions and they didnt mind me looking for about an hour before I made my decision. The sales guy was quite knowledgeable, he knew which models had adjustable carbs, and details about engine internals. This is a high end place that probably deals with lots of commercial customers who spend big money. The fact that they treated me very well was much appreciated, Ill be back when I need more attachments for my Stihl or if my beloved mower ever dies.

Product knowledge was excellent and was helpful with accessories and a few other items needed to get me going with the new Stihl FS280 Trimmer. When I got home I noticed some defects or shipping damage and called the store but they were closed. I left a message and the first thing Monday morning James called and said they would switch the unit out with another one. I will go back for my Stihl chainsaw in a few months. Everyone I talked to said my Honda mower was leaving uncut strips because of current grass conditions (st. augustine) even with a new blade installed by another party...I brought it in anyway. Chandler and Don took the time to look at it right away and with a replacement of Honda blades I was back in business.....Thank you!
