We recently used Jay the Builder for a few projects: gut and redo our master bathroom, remove a popcorn ceiling in the master bedroom, and refresh a half bath. It was a great experience from start to finish. Jay was professional and a pleasure to work with. He was helpful, had good ideas, and was always available to answer questions. He submitted a detailed bid and stuck to the budget and the timeline. His crew showed up on time and stayed until the work was done (and Kwame and Henry were so nice to our old dog.) And, most importantly, they did quality work. I’m happy with it all, especially the beautiful walk-in shower, but I think my favorite part may be the bathroom floor, and that’s because of Kwame’s attention to detail with the hexagonal tile (so many cuts!) Not only does Jay take the feedback of his clients seriously, but he does not rest until they are fully satisfied. While remodeling our master bathroom, Jay was able to to coordinate re-tiling our kitchen floor and installing new backsplash at the same time. Jay is not just a builder. He has an eye for design and his input to that part of the process was really appreciated.

After being basically abandoned by another contractor, Jay really came through for me. He took time to go with me to the Tile Shop to pick out the best tile for my backsplash project, which turned out beautifully. He always did what he said hed do when he said hed do it -- a rare quality in todays contractor! Quality work done efficiently and a friendly guy to boot. You wont go wrong with Jay!

Jay renovated all three bathrooms, the kitchen, painted our house and ceilings, changed out all interior doors and replaced all baseboards. He did an excellent, professional job that everyone admires when they visit my house. His experienced was evidenced the varied recommendations that he was able to give us. Through conversation he immediately understood our style and vision and was able to guide our buying decisions. Jay knows the business and vendors in Dallas and has excellent taste. This can be seen with everything from the tile design, granite choices, fixture selection to paint colors. His attention to detail to ensure that rooms were finished was appreciated.
