Had a very good experience with this company, owner answered the phone and scheduled the service. The tech Bobby came out when they said they would and fixed my dryer......all in the same day. Was very happy.
Tech called giving me his ETA, arrived on-time and fixed my dryer in under an hour. Estimated cost was spot on. Highly recommend !
They came out to service our broken dryer. The repairman diagnosed the issue & ordered a replacement part that we paid for which was supposed to arrive within 3 business days. It’s been over a week and we call and just get a recording. There’s no way to leave a message. Left wondering when they are getting back to us, if ever. Maybe they had a emergency?
Scott was very responsive and professional. Arrived on time as scheduled and had everything in working order in no time. Highly recommend! 🌟
I should have listened to all the bad reviews, but you live and learn. Scott Glover is the most unprofessional business owner I have ever known. He was rude, dismissive, and failed to listen and understand the problem from the start.I have a microwave that had a cooling fan start to fail. I could hear it and so could my wife. I explained the problem to Scott, and he assured me he would investigate. I received a call back that I needed a new motherboard, so he is the expert and I trusted him. I paid more than the microwave is worth to have it repaired ($375). When I went to pick it up, I could clearly hear that the fan was still not operational. Scott got immediately defensive and told me Ill refund your money, its not worth it to me. Strange way to handle that situation.Long story short, 4 trips to his house and the microwave is still not working properly. When I tried to explain to him that the fan is not running, he laughed at me and again told me he would refund my money.I waited for him to reverse the charge, but to no avail. I had to dispute the charges. What does Scott do? He runs my credit card again, committing credit card fraud. After leaving, I went to C&W Appliance Service and the experience was night and day. The tech listened, he understood the problem immediately. I paid $55, they repaired the fan and the microwave worked perfectly. I would recommend C&W to anyone looking for a fantastic experience.Im sure Scott will reply that hes an honest, hardworking person that is being victimized by a bad client but Im clearly stating that anyone considering using him, youve been warned.
Charles came and repaired my very old subzero “ refrigerator side” to perfect working order after replacing parts. Very hard to find someone with his knowledge of subzero’s. I’m very pleased with he results.
The repair person showed up on time and was very personable. He looked at my old refrigerator for less than a minute and said the compressor was bad. He said it would take 6-8 hours to repair and cost over $1000.00. Obviously it wasn’t worth it for a 8 year old refrigerator. I paid the $85 service call and he left. I was looking for a used refrigerator on line and came across one for sale for $150. I called, explained the situation and the guy said he would take mine on trade. He fixes and repairs them in his spare time. When he got to the house he looked at the fridge and said the compressor was bad but he could replace it or about $60 bucks or so. He had already brought the other fridge with him so I went through with my plan but the point is this company and it’s subcontractors really only want to collect thier $85.00 and move on to the next person. At least that’s the way it looks to me.
On time, fair and professional. Thank you.
Excellent service from Scott and Adam who performed the service call on tour Kitchen Aid refrigerator / freezer - on time and courteous. Had questions following the service call - again; prompt response! I have lived in Plano for 23 years and the service “attitude” from this team far exceeds my experience from others in the area. Highly recommend - they will be my FIRST call in the future if ever needed.
If ever you are looking for a responsible honest repair service, I recommend North Dallas Appliance. The owner Mr. Glover stands by his work and work ethics. The tech Jarret was very knowledgeable, courteous, respectful and professional. COVID-19 has been a trying experience and a hassle to find reputable appliance repair, yet this company cares about their customers and that speaks volume. Their SAFE PRACTICE approach wearing mask shows concern for their customer as well as respect. They are on time and their pricing is undisputable reasonable over all. They longevity of how they conduct themselves and business practices is appreciated.
On a Saturday with guests arriving in a few hours for dinner my handle brokeoff on my oven..and food cooking inside and could not open... I called North Dallas Appliance and Scott sent a technician right away... repaired the handle and also took stove apart to repair another item!!.. I recommend them with 5 stars for sure!!.. Saved my dinner gathering!!
This is probably the most ethical, timely, affordable, courteous, responsive service company I have ever used. There was an issue with the Home Warranty however these professionals demonstrated they were more interested in taking care of my problems and honoring their commitment than anything else. Great group of honorable professionals.
I had just experienced a scam from another repair service on my electric clothes which will remain unnamed. I then called this repair service and explained my problem with Scott the owner. He spoke laymen language and in his words gave me a estimate based on my descritption and he referred to it as (common term Tax title License) or repair, service call and along with parts price and taxes . This was the end result and we are very pleased. I forgot to mention that Bobby was the repairman.
We had an issue with our Fridge, and a person came to evaluate. They claimed that we needed a new compressor. They looked at our Washer and Dryer, and the recommendation was get new ones. The owner called me and said they could not install the compressor due to someone being out. So we paid $120 visit for inaccurate assessment of our appliances. The fridge was fixed by another company for $250 as it was the converter to the compressor which is an electronic component. Fridge is working 100% fine without replacing a compressor for over $800-$1000. Washer and Dryer, fixed for $50 and no issues any longer. I felt for the $120 fee we had to pay was unfair, especially since the diagnosis of our appliance issues were 100% inaccurate. We will not be using this company in the future for any services. The owner is not being fair nor providing an accurate assessment of our situation.I spoke to Scott 4 times the same day and the next day and he said we needed a new compressor but his install guy could not install it. He did say it would cost $800-$1000 to fix it. He said he sent a certified person to look at the fridge but in his response says he did not. The person wePaid said he was certified to assess our fridge. Why would Scott send a fridge person and charge me $120 for a person he claims “was not my fridge guy”. This is not a company I would recommend to anyone and will send a BBB review as well. This cannot be how companies do business. I would like a return on my money if you sent a non fridge guy to assess our fridge. That is what would be fair.
Fantastic service, Above and beyond. Fixed a dishwasher I thought needed to be replaced. Knows the value of Sonic-style ice. Cant go wrong with these guys.
You wont find a more honest or reputable company than North Dallas Appliance Repair. The owner answers the phone every time, youll never speak to a receptionist or secretary or automated phone board. They do repairs for the cowboys and mavericks players homes.
This was the first time I had used North Dallas Appliance..........EXCELLENT experience. Neil wasexpeditiously resolved the issue with my Dishwasher.Friendly, courteous and knowledgeable ---- One couldntask for anything more. Will definitely use this firm again.
Over the weekend, my gas oven went out. I began calling around, various places after checking on Angies list. I could not get anyone to call me back. Finally, I did---but then, got no follow-up call to schedule an appointment for the repair by 4pm the next day. Frustrated on my drive home from work, I looked up appliance repair online on my cellphone. I came across North Dallas Appliance Repair. The business seemed to be local to me and near my residence---unlike the Angies List options. Holding my breath, I called the phone number. The owner of North Dallas Appliance Repair, Scott, answered the phone, immediately. I was SHOCKED and very pleased. I gave him the information about my appliance, and explained my situation---from my own description and diagnostic best guess. Right then, Scott gave me some options for when the repair person could make it out to my house--the NEXT DAY!!! I could not believe it. Bob, the repairman, was on time, and had my appliance fixed in under an hour. All I can say is, this FRUSTRATED PERSON is now a SATISFIED CUSTOMER of North Dallas Appliance Repair. I will definitely call upon Scott and his repair-crew from now on when I have need of an appliance repair. I am a very happy customer. I received EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE--- from the 1st phone contact, to follow-up and the actual repair. Hands down, the BEST! I am SO IMPRESSED with this experience. Ill recommend North Dallas Appliance Repair to anyone. And, I will use them for all my future appliance repair needs. Got an appliance repair??? Call North Dallas Appliance Repair! You WILL be glad you did!
I called about 12:00PM on Monday and had my ice maker completely fixed by 3:00PM. Scott answered promptly, was extremely nice and willing to help. I was given a 15 minute heads up by Bob before arrival. Bob was extremely nice, thorough, and completely fixed my ice maker. I was given a price quote up front, no tricks. I highly recommend North Dallas Appliance Repair, Scott, and Bob.
The owners and technician are very professional, and very fast and efficient, my dryer went out and service was set up the next day to fix it. I can tell you my dryer was running in 15 minutes, and drying all my laundry, keeping me from going to the laundry mat in the cold. I recommend any one reading if your washer and dryer goes out, these are the guys to go to, recommended to family and friends also. I am a forever customer, who, I must say am very impressed!
Dont use this company.I am writing this, literally, right after Bob just left my residence. As my beau put it, Bob seemed a bit lost, to put things politely. We needed a dishwasher and refrigerator repaired. For the dishwasher, we were told that it would be $400 to repair the board, we said no. Thats more than the cost of the dishwasher. For the refrigerator, NOTHING was done to fix it. We were told we simply needed to defrost it and clean out the ice maker spout (the ice maker is not serving cubes.) We had already DONE ALL OF THAT prior to calling. Nothing was fixed and were out $100 for a useless service call - nothing was fixed but given lame unhelpful advice we had already tried - and we did tell Bob we had already done all of that.Dont use this company. I know Scott, the owner, will respond to this review and justify our waste of time and money - read all of the reviews below. Dont use this company. Call someone else, or save your $100 and apply it to new appliances.
There are few things that make your heart sink as fast as a warm refrigerator. Sears could not come out for 6 days! Thats when I found North Dallas Appliance Repair. They sent a technician on the same day I called and he was able to make the repair the next day. Everything worked great right away and I couldnt be happier.
ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!! Do not look any further!!! THIS IS THE ONLY APPLIANCE REPAIR SERVICE YOU WILL EVER NEED!!!!! My name is Sharon Kellerhouse (Roses daughter) and my refrigerator had stopped cooling. After several calls to services that either didnt return my call or couldnt send any one for a few days. I found North Dallas! No exaggeration I left a message and within 5 min had a return call and tech was at my door less than 2 hours after my initial call!! My compressor had gone out along with my control board. He could have charged me a fortune and I wouldnt have known the difference!! Neal was so honest and recommended for me to just replace the unit. Then arranged through his boss Scott to help me get a slightly used one for half of what a new one would cost then didnt even charge me a service call!!! I am letting every one out know to never use another appliance company than this one!!! If you use someone else you are throwing your money away!! I am in the remodeling business and this is the only appliance repair company I will ever recommend in the future!! So reassuring to know honest repair companies still exist!!!! Im a customer for life!!!
I gave Scott a call today and within a couple of hours his co-worker Bobby was at my house and had my dryer fixed in no time at all. Great guys and great company! Will definitely use them again. Thank you for your help.
I wish I had read the online reviews at the Better Business Bureau, Yelp, Google, and elsewhere. Hopefully my pain will be your gain...I contacted Scott on 1/29 about my dishwasher which wasnt drying the dishes when the washing cycle was complete. He sent out a technician the next day, who arrived well outside the 3 hour service window that we were given. No big deal, I guess...things happen. The tech proceeds to put the dishwasher through a cycle as part of his efforts to diagnose the problem. Not able to identify the problem, he gets on the phone with Whirlpool and they (collectively) arrive at the conclusion that the dishwasher needs a new electronic control board. Scott calls me to confirm that $199 for the repair (which I assume includes the part and the labor) is acceptable. I agree, though for reference, a new dishwasher (which comes with a warranty) is $430 at Best Buy, which is definitely NOT the cheapest place to buy that dishwasher. So at $200/were right in the ballpark of the repair/buy a new unit decision. He says that the part should be in on Monday morning and that his plan is to get it installed by Monday evening (2/3). We are charged $80 for the diagnostic visit, which does not go towards the upcoming repair.By 2/6 I still havent heard from Scott about our repair, so I leave a message. He calls back and tells me about the part coming in there being some sort of mix-up and having to order it again...and that hell be able to install it for sure on Monday (2/10). On Tuesday 2/11, I message him again, and he says that he can get it installed Thursday morning. I tell him my wife has an appointment in the afternoon, and he says that shouldnt be a problem. Were first on his schedule for a 9:00 - 10:00am appointment time. A few calls/messages in the morning go unanswered, until we finally hear from him that his tech is coming in the afternoon. Gary arrives around 1:00 or 1:30, installs the part and says that itll be $279. My wife was expecting $199 and calls me. I ask her if its at least fixed...(at this point, willing to be extorted a little bit just to be done with this process). She says she doesnt know. I ask her if hes going to sit through a cycle (like he did during the diagnostic visit) to confirm that the dishwasher is repaired. She says he is not. I suggest that they leave a bill, and once WE can confirm that the dishwasher is fixed that well send in payment. Gary says he cant do that. Our two options are for him to uninstall the part and leave or for us to pay. I look up the part on Google and in about 3 seconds see that a new OEM part is $94 (shipped) + tax.Gary says, Yeah, everything is cheaper online.I tell her to have Gary take the part and leave, which (to his credit) he promptly does. Its strange to me that they werent willing to wait to confirm that the issue was fixed so that they could receive full payment...but maybe that speaks to them not being confident that the problem actually would be fixed.I then look up North Dallas Appliance Repair and see that Scott has some good reviews here and there, but when they go bad the pattern seems to be some combination of: mis-scheduling/delays because of problems with getting a part; overcharging for a repair; and that repair not fixing the problem (or making things worse.) I feel lucky that I got out before getting into the later stages of this pattern and forking over another $279.Update:Everything he just said below is a lie. First, Gary spoke to my wife, not me. Second, he was trying to charge $279 ADDITIONAL on top of the original $80. Third, the dishwasher wasnt working after the fix. (She asked the tech to stay for a cycle to verify it was fixed, which he refused to do. Also, I had the part replaced by someone else and, surprise, it wasnt fixed.) 5th, I never once tried to negotiate the price. I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that theyre EITHER incompetent OR dishonest. Beware...his F rating on BBB is deserved. (And no I havent posted my experience to BBB).
Service tech Neil came out and did a great job of assessing my situation and gave me some great information about how to proceed. They are also very prompt and honest. Will recommend to friends and family.
I arranged for a repairman to come to a condo I own in north Dallas for my brother to repair a washing machine. The repairman came to the property and refused to park his truck in the space assigned to the condo because he saw shady black people. He claimed to his boss he saw drug deals. The owner of the business said he would not ask him to do the appointment. I spoke to the owner and he said his employee said he did not feel comfortable without a gun. I came over to the condo to see for myself if there were any shady people milling about. Literally no one was walking about. I called the repair guy and he said he thought the shady black people thought he was a cop and he did not feel comfortable parking his nice vehicle. I offered to watch his truck for him if we would come back to repair the washer. He again refused to return. I spoke with the owner and he suggested I call a different company. I did, I called Lonestar Appliance Repair. They came about an hour and a half after I called, stayed about 20 minutes and charged me $113.66. If you like racists, these are your guys. If you recognize most people including black people are for the most part decent and most people do not commit crimes in front of people they think are cops then call Lonestar Appliance.
Duane with North Dallas Appliance Repair was a rock star. I called the company when the big box where I purchased my dryer said it would be over a week before they could get to the repair. They fixed my dryer promptly, correctly and charged me fairly for the work. Highly recommend!
In discussing my assumed dishwasher problem with Scott, he suggested that I go online, Google How to unlock Whirlpool dishwasher. I did, and followed the instructions. His suggestion saved me the cost of the repair, as my dishwasher is now working just fine. Scott is an honest person, and his sense of integrity is above reproach. NDAP, Richardson, TX is a trusted firm.
Quick and fast repair. They had to come out twice. The second time they were able to replace the parts on my washer and it worked again like a gem. The reason for 4 stars is because he said he did not charge me labor just for parts. Seems nice, except I googled price of the parts and they were $30 a piece. I had to have 2 parts replaced so with shipping they probably cost them $75. The total for the repair and service call was $240...
I called at 11AM and they were out by 1PM to repair my dryer. They had to replace my entire heating element. Chris Smith was the technician, and he was great. He explained everything to me before beginning any work. I would recommend this company to anyone.
Very great company. Got out to my house to fix my washer in less than 3 hours after I called! Great customer service as well! All around great experience and will use them for all my Appliance repairs. :)
Very responsive over the phone. Technician arrived on time and did exactly what needed to be done. Will be using this company moving forward.
Our first time using North Dallas Appliance Repair and we were very pleased with the result. Our dryer was repaired promptly and the vent to the roof was cleaned out as well as the inside of the dryer. Neil did a great job and we are happy to recommend him and the company. Dennis/Judith Stone
+++++++SAD_VERY SAD+++++++I am brand new to Texas from Illinois. I needed the Kenmore washer that I was gifted with from a church member looked at. I was referred to Scott at North Dallas Appliance repair by a co worker.Since they do not service Bedford I drove the washer to his residence in Richardson in my SUV, explaining that it did not spin. He called promptly to explain that it was a lid cover sensor and the fee would be $150.00. This is what he thought the problem was when I dropped it off- I hear it is common with Kenmores.Upon research I find that this part costs less than 10 dollars??? I asked Scott and he said $150 was the standard charge for lid sensors. He also said he thought I just wanted this done free and that is why I told him I was posting a review. NO..I want fair & in honesty? I waited 24 hours for him to return my call & explain why he thinks this is justifiedBEWARE...HAD I READ ALL OF HIS REVIEWS I WOULD NEVER HAVE USED THIS COMPANY
Great job Frank. Just had an almost 20 year old GE Monogram refrigerator freezer repaired. A defective fan motor was replaced. But that was just the beginning. The refrigeration portion was not cooling to the appropriate range. After 3 additional trips and thoroughly evaluating all possible problems the solution was found. What was impressive was Franks doggedness and willingness to come back time and again to solve the problemAn exemplary employee North Dallas Appliance Repair.
When my washer quit working, North Dallas Appliance Repair was quick to come to my rescue. They were there first thing in the morning, diagnosed the problem, and had it fixed the same day. The owner, Scott Glover was very polite, efficient and answered any questions I had. Id highly recommend them ro anyone and will definitely not hesitate to use them again in the future.Thank you North Dallas Appliance Repair!
90 day warranty on a brand new part? And it broke in about 100 days. I am in a similar service industry and I make sure I help my customers with certain situation. This was an uncomfortable situation and the part they installed made odd noises from day one. Wouldn’t surprise me if this was a bad/used part from the start but I don’t have proof. My advice, go with a bigger company and pay a little more to get a real warranty- it’s worth it- or just buy a new appliance. Not worth paying hundreds for repairs when you can pay a little more and buy new. This is my advice. And for north dallas appliance repair, I recommend you offer more assurance for your customers or you won’t be in business long as manufacturers are making appliances more affordable to buy then repair. You are a dying industry like tv and camera repair. Keep up these 90 day warranties and your days will be as numbered. Take care.
Ive used these guys for years. I like it when you call, and youre talking to a knowledgeable owner. No waiting on a call back. The staff are timely, professional and friendly. The pricing is very reasonable. My most recent experience involved my dryer that wasnt drying properly. For a reasonable price, they totally cleaned my dryer vent, with before and after pictures. A big thanks to Scott and his crew for removing a fire hazard from my home!
Scott showed up in the appointment window, replaced my broken ice maker quickly. He was very professional and nice. I would definitely recommend them from my experience.
Neil came out and was VERY informative and went into details about my Maytag washer and shared his personal experiences. He also suggested alternative options to other machines we should look at buying such as a stackable because Im in a condo and how they last longer. Because he didnt have to do! Neil is a phenomenal service tech and I will definitely use them again in the future!
Came out to look at my dryer. Told me the board was broken and that parts alone would be $500+. I looked online and they only cost about $150. I had someone else come and take a look, turned out the venting was the issue and the dryer was perfectly fine. Not sure if the guy was trying to rip us off or just didnt know what he was doing, either way not a great experience.
Bob came out to fix a frozen or clogged drain line. He seems to have done that, but when he left, the door would not seal properly on the left side. I had never had this problem before. The door would always seal before this, as long as you were cognizant of closing it fully, but now I couldnt get it to close properly at all. Owner made excuses and Bob made excuses and refused to come back to fix problem...until my wife looked it over thoroughly and found an issue. Bobby came back the next day.
03/03/2019THIS MAN IS DISHONEST... HAS NEVER CONTACTED ME ABOUT A REFUND AS HE ORIBALLY STATED... This is a copy and paste of the owners scott’s Reply to my original post“I will contact this customer about a refund. Scott Glover, Owner, North Dallas Appliance Repair”I would like to let people know, don’t trust this man... even though he posted that he would contact me about a refund, he never has. He posted this in his reply to make readers of these reviews think he was doing something to resolve an issue and to make himself look good. He also stated that I was attacking his character, well, I am not attacking anyone... just stating facts.02/14/2019... Scott’s reply to my previous post, just goes to show how dishonest this man is... his reply says he will contact me regarding a refund... I am still waiting Scott... have not yet been contacted.02/11/19...Scott’s reply says he will contact me regarding a refund... still have not heard from these people regarding my refund....NEVER WILL I TRUST ANY REFRIGERATOR REPAIR COMPANY AGAIN...I Contacted Scott, who stated he was the owner. I explained I had already contacted a company and provided all information about my refrigerator, make, model, serial number, and was upset that they could not tell me they could not get parts for this unit for a week, knowing the make an model before they came to the house. I told Scott, I felt scammed, because they came to my house, charged me a service fee, and then told me, they could not fix the refrigerator unit parts arrived next week. Scott even told me to make sure I post a negative review regarding the company on line.Turns out, Scott, owner of North Dallas Appliance Repair, did the exact same thing. I told him the fan was out on my unit. The freezer worked, but refrigerator was not cooling. He even ask me to check the freezer in the morning, make sure it was working, and call him... I did. His technician showed up at 430 in the afternoon, looked at the refrigerator, stated he could not get parts unit next week, and charged me 80.00.Very unhappy that now, two different companies have been provided the information needed for parts ahead of time, but, both companies could not say... we do not have the parts, and cannot get them unit next week... they could not tell me this upfront, until, after, they have come to the house to charge a service fee.Scott... you own me $80.00. You knew up front what was needed, you even told me that the other company was being dishonest when they said they could not get parts until next week... and you did exactly what they did. Your technician stated he knew nothing about our conversation, and stated, he wished he had known before hand.Refrigerator repair service is a rip off... Scott... having the information up front on the refrigerator, and my telling you the other company stated, it was the fan motor... instead of assuring me the parts where available, you should have told me, up front, that you could not get the parts until next week.YOU OWE ME AN $80.00 REFUND.02/06/2019 16:09Update: Senior Monment? Must be Scott’s. I told him on the phone, before making the appointment, the part needed, and the model number of my refrigerator. I expressed my concern of not wanting to wait a week for the parts, explaining that a previous company had already told me it would be a week to get the parts. I think if there is/was a senior moment, it must have been when Scott did not tell me, before coming to my house, that the part would not be available... or, maybe he is referring to remark about contacting me about a refund... it has been over twenty four hour since his response, and he has not contacted me regarding a refund.
I contacted North Dallas Appliance Repair on the tenth of January. Our Jenn Air oven door was not opening and closing properly. Repairman named Bobby came out, diagnosed the problem, and agreed to fix the problem for a significant amount of money. He stated that the parts would be in on January 15th and that he would come back then to resolve our problem. He had not returned by January 18th, so I called the owner. He explained that the parts were shipped to the wrong location, but that Bobby would return on January 22nd at 10:00 AM to fix our oven. Business owner (Scott) called that morning and rescheduled the appointment to 4:00 PM.The repairman did come to our home, bang around for a while, and then leave. My wife got home and when she tried to use the repaired oven, the door fell off in her hand!! There were also several loose screws and one totally missing screw which was lying on the floor after he left. The closing lever for the door was not repaired at all. The repairman also damaged the wooden cabinet that holds the oven. I called the business and the owner agreed to have the repairman contact us. My wife answered the phone and sternly described the problem. The repairman rudely stated that he MIGHT return on another unspecified day. My wife was not happy with this arrangement and requested that the repairman return immediately to resolve the problems. He refused and angrily raised his voice to my wife.I contacted the business owner who stated that he would not deal with my dissatisfied wife and therefore we only got one repair visit, whether or not the repair was successful or satisfactory to me and to my wife, the customers. Now, the situation is worse than it was before the repair and North Dallas Appliance Repair refuses to even try to make it right.I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about this. The owner responded to this review. However, his review unfortunately reveals that he did not listen to me when I called him and he did not read my review above. Our oven door FELL OFF ten minutes after the repairman left, is still broken, and North Dallas Appliance Service refused to come back and resolve the problem. The response is accurate that my wife was/is very justifiably upset about this. She did raise her voice but she never cussed at his employee. Our expectation from a responsible repair service is that the job be done right and that indeed our oven would be made to work perfectly or the repair person should come back and work on it until it DOES work perfectly. (By the way, our oven is nowhere near 50 years old.) This experience was certainly frustrating, we are very disappointed, and we do NOT recommend this business to anyone else.
They charged more than they told it would be on the phone, then when I kindly asked about the pricing policy and lack of work done, the owner was EXTREMELY rude. As you can tell from his responses to any negative feedback left here, he continues his rude and unprofessional manner. We had no water leaking out the front door and we didnt need anyone right away. Our ice machine didnt work and it was low priority. They charged me $120 to tell me my ice machine didnt work (duh) and didnt repair anything.3.5 stars out of 5 is not what Id consider as rave reviews.
Always professional and trustworthy
Terrible! Took off from work spoke with the owner 3 times never showed up, total waste of time.... Unfortunately prior to the appointment I was informed of today being completely open which a sane person would think if Im the first person to schedule for today maybe I will get seen 1st... wrong.... Be warned!
This place has always been the best place for me to look.
I spoke with the guy over the phone to get an idea of how much it would cost to get my appliance fixed. He told me it wasnt worth getting it fixed and to just toss the old one and buy a new one. Once he realized he could not make money off of me he continued to cut me off when I tried to ask him any additional questions and was very rude! I understand he is in the business to make make money but I dont think he should treat people that poorly if they are not going to be a costumer at that moment in time.
Scott, the owner, is the biggest crook on the planet! He sent one of his repair guys to fix a stove and the guy charged me $100 to do work that took 5 minutes. The next day when I went to check the work, the stove was still broken. When I called Scott to ask that his agent return to fix the problem I paid for, Scott begins to yell at me and said the work should never have been done and that I was too far to fix the problem. He offered to return my money by mailed check. This was two weeks ago and there is still no check in the mail. Im glad that I will never do business with scum like this again. Thanks for the life lesson, Scott.
More care should be given to estimated scheduling time. I was told I would be the next service call after the current call, so I decided to hang around for the estimated hour and a half until the repair person was to arrive. He arrived 4-1/2 hours later, 3 hours after expected, and I have wasted the first sunny day in Dallas in two weeks, just WAITING. I DO understand everyone cannot be seen immediately. And if there was an emergency necessitating pushing out my scheduled time, that is fine... JUST LET ME KNOW. But if I had known it would be over 4 hours later, I could have rescheduled MY time. I am not sure I will call this company again, regardless of the service level received, if I have to loose an entire day of my own work to do so.
I have used them for my rental property 6 times now and will continue to. They can come out the same or next day so no wait time.Theyre repair guys are quick to diagnose problems. Good company.
We hired North Dallas Appliance repair to fix our LG ice maker and received the worst service ever. After four visits we have not received a resolution to the problem.Original Problem:Ice maker makes ice, but water leaks out of the tray area and spills down the inside causing giant blocks of ice to form and freezes the ice container into the compartment causing no ice to come out and making it hard to get the ice container out to thaw the giant blocks of ice1. Scott sends out Bob. Bob uses a tool to melt the frozen water and cleans up all the ice and charges $60 for the service fee, $65 for labor- I’m fine paying for that, that seems fair2. Now, instead of the ice maker making ice at all like it use to, it stopped working altogether3. Scott sends out Neil (different tech) to come take a look. Neil asks if Bob used a certain type of tool to thaw it out and I confirm he did. Neil says using that specific tool probably broke the ice maker and caused it to stop making ice. Neil unplugged and reconnected the ice maker hoping that would work.4. Ice maker still not making ice. Bob comes back and says we need a new ice maker and it will cost $300. I’m hesitant and angry about this because of what Neil said about that tool probably breaking our working ice maker in the first place. I also say I can just pay LG $400 to come out and give me a new ice maker with a warranty. However, Bob convinces me that LG would not stand behind the installation, and only cover the parts. He says that if I have him replace the ice maker, he will continue to work with me until everything is working properly. Because of that, I agree for Bob to put in a new ice maker and pay $300.5. New ice maker starts making ice again, but water continues to leak out of the tray area and freezes up the container just like what was stated in the original problem.6. Scott refuses to listen to my complaints about how they charged me for a new ice maker even though my original one must have been working fine because the new one now has the same problem. He says hell send Bob back out.7. Bob calls before coming out and once he realizes what my problem is, has Scott call me instead of him coming out.8. Scott calls and tells me Bob doesnt know what else he can do to fix the problem and offers me half my money back and we can part ways. Scott offers $180 and keeps claiming that is fair because he claims I have only spent $60 for the original service call and $300 for the ice maker. I tell him I spent more ($125 in the original call) and he refuses to hear me out. Continues to talk over me and keeps saying Ill refund you half now and we can part ways otherwise well just part ways. I give him my credit card number so he can refund me because he is not listening to anything I am saying at that point.Main complaints:1. Charging me $300 for a new ice maker when it sounds like they broke my original one in the first place- New ice maker has the same problem so I didnt need a new one until after they broke it using that tool to thaw it in the first place2. Getting a new ice maker from them only because Bob guaranteed me they would stand behind their installation and continue to work with me until it was fixed- Now they are not honoring thatFair resolution:Refunding me $300 total. Me paying for the initial service call ($60) and original labor ($65) is fairUpdate: 3 years later we finally got over the trauma of blowing $425 with North Dallas Appliance repair and found a different company to fix the ice maker. The other company was able to take care of it swiftly, for a reasonable price ($160) and with much better customer service.
This company is very unprofessional and doesnt know what keeping appointments consist of. I REPEAT DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY. The owner Scott is a jerk and doesnt care about his customers. My first encounter with this company happened in November 2017. I booked an appointment from 12-2 pm. No one should up so I had to call Scott back and he was like dang it Bobby didnt call you. Come to find out Bobby was still at job and couldnt make it to my house. Ok I understand. So the next day he was suppose to be there between 12-2 pm. He didnt make it to my house until after 230pm. So by this time Im upset. I then ask will my bill reflect the inconvenience of my work schedule. Bobby calls Scott and he is like I will give her a 10% discount. Wow really after being inconvenienced twice thats all?! That right there shows me he doesnt give a.darn about his customers. Now I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. So I had to cut the job short due to having pick up my son from daycare. I told Bobby what was wrong with my washer he didnt figure it out himself. I still paid a fee $60 for him to do nothing and leave my washroom a mess. I had to help him move my dryer off the washer. He complained about that. Im like your in a business dealing with heavy duty equipment that should be expected. He unscrews.my washer and takes out all the screws and just leaves it there. How professional and safe is that? Later in Nov 18th I call to setup an appointment. They already know what parts are needed for my washer. I finally have time off again were I can sit at home and wait for them to arrive. My appointment this time is 12-3pm. Im waiting and waiting. I do not get a courtesy call or anything. Finally Bobby calls me at 325pm and says oh we dont have the part for your washer. This time Im REALLY UPSET so I say you guys knew ahead of time that I needed the pump to my washer and you call the day of my appointment to say you cant get a part. So i call Scott again to see when and if they can find a part And he says we should just part ways. Im livid at this point and Scott begins to talk over me and I say you guys are unprofessional and Scott says you shouldnt have said that now were not going to service you and hung up in my face. Mind you am my parts to my washer are spread around the washroom. I just uploaded a pic of the mess Bobby left at my house. He says they cant get to me until next week. So Im basically suppose to sit here with the washer in middle of the floor with my one year old son running around. Thats not safe and this company shouldnt be able to service anyone with the experience I just had. They shouldnt be in business at all. And I have family.coming from out of.town For thanksgiving!!!!! Thanks a lot for wasting my time and my $60 which could have been spent somewhere else with better service. I dont care how much experience you have, you will loose customers with bad attitude and negative people. Ill be sure to report you guys to Better Bureau once I finished uploading this review.THIS COMPANY LACKS INTEGRITY, PROFESSIONALISM, ACCURANCY, PUNCTUAL, CONSIDERATION OF PEOPLES TIME AND MONEY.
Within 4 hours of my wife telling me we had a problem, Bobby came and repaired our oven. Issue was fixed and wonder why every other company takes at least 2 weeks to look at something, another 2 weeks to get the part, and another to install it. Will not use alltex parker again.
Buyer Beware! We had issues with both washing machine and dishwasher. Called business because they were conveniently located close to our home. I was happy that the owner returned my call quickly after I left a vm on a Saturday. Brownie points there. What upset me about the experience was that when the technician arrived on Monday he diagnosed the washing machine by looking at it. No technical diagnostics were performed. He quoted a repair of $300 for the washing machine. I passed. He moved on to the dishwasher. He did run a diagnostic on the dishwasher and determined that it was the control panel. He made a call to someplace where they had one in stock and then he quoted me a little over $300 for this repair (assuming it included the $50 diagnostic charge). I accepted. He left to go pick up the part but something wasnt quite sitting right with me so I started googling and I found the part on Amazon for a little over $100. I called him back and called off the repair. Part arrived today. I installed it myself. It took 10 minutes and that was because I had to manually remove the screws with an allen wrench. If you use this company for repairs, ask questions about the price on the parts they select and make sure YOU arent getting screwed!Update (08/20/2015)- I was looking for a repair company today and again came across NDAR. Started reading reviews and after reading the owners response that my review was a weird review considering I am not a customer I felt compelled to add to my initial review. True, no work was done and I think I made that clear. And I DO believe in paying for services but a plug and play part that costs a little over $100 online should not cost $200 in labor. OR the company that they are buying parts from has CRAZY mark up and they need to look into that. AND that a customer should ask questions like how much are the parts? and how much is the labor? And THAT was my point and why I stated buyer beware hoping that anyone reading my review that uses this company will ask these questions. And Im sure that Bobby has an excellent reputation. Perhaps I caught him on an off day.
Great customer service throughout the repair and very fast! Thank you!
Called second repairman after getting 450$ quote, and every other repair quote said nothing on the washer could be that much.Dont use this repair team.
Prompt, courteous, efficient!
Good service!
Called to ask if they had parts and got the most awful reply.
