Let’s just say it’s really cool living in the Italian Villas of Rexburg. Very new and modern, pretty quiet, and tucked away in a neighborhood away from the rest of campus housing. Excellent management that takes the time to get to know you. If you’re trying to focus on school and get your stuff done, this is the place for you.

My daughter lived at Abri during Fall 2020 and Winter 2021. The management never plowed the parking lot resulting in accidents and many near misses. When my daughter has her final cleaning check she was told of a few things that needed to be cleaned. She cleaned those but was later charged for those items and some that were never mentioned. Seriously, live somewhere else!

Sister lives here and she loves it. The apartments have a modern style. Lots of open space. Tons of storage. Every living room comes with two couches plus a bean bag. There is also a full laundry room with washer/dryer in every unit. The kitchen is huge - two fridges and a big island. Management is great. It’s a short walk to the north end of campus. Get a parking spot early if you have a car. Street parking is also available. If I wasn’t married, I’d definitely live here.

I have LOVED my time living at Abri Apartments! They are so new and modern, with a price that is still below most of the newer complexes. The management and maintenance have always been really quick to help and answer requests and be friendly about it! The Abri also does events every week which makes it social and they have great common areas to hangout in.I would definitely recommend this place to friends who are looking for a modern apartment, with a good price, social environment, and great people!

Ive moved into Abri as a new freshman at BYUI and I absolutely love living here! Applying here is fairly easy and the management team members are kind, respond quickly to any questions asked, and are a great help with adjusting to college. I have stayed in both apartment layouts and have enjoyed them both. Both of these layouts have a nice amount of space for the students living here so as to not feel crowded. It is on the quieter side of campus which is very nice and also about a 10-15 minute walk from campus and 20-25 minutes down the road from the temple.

The apartment and grounds are beautiful. There are often some minor maintenance issues with the apartment. Abri Apartments is decent at responding to and resolving requests. There are been several repeated internet connection problems. Forewarning: the internet provider they use tends to have problems.Edit: Hello! I had to edit and remove a star. I dont recommend staying here for the Fall or Winter Semesters. The parking lot is poorly maintained and becomes a major safety hazard once snow begins to fall. Unless you are REALLY comfortable walking, driving, and parking on sheets of ice, I dont recommend it.

The apartments themselves actually feel like real apartments not just dorms. They come loaded with granite counter tops, washer/dryers, two fridges. They are just clean and well maintained. A lot more than what other complexes around rexburg offer. The people here are friendly and fun, and there are always events going on so it was easy to meet people. THE ABRI IS SUPURB.Being built so recently, the Abri is still relatively lesser known then some of the other established complexes, which is what makes it a hidden gem among alternatively over priced apartments in Rexburg (that offer many of the same amenities) for a much lower price. The interior is urban and fun, and doesnt feel industrial like many of the other modern complexes. Not to mention that the management do a great job of filling the space with a great community thats involved and caring. Speaking of management, Katie was always able to help me out where she could while still operating by what she is allowed to do - she always went the extra mile for me.I recommend the Abri to all my friends looking for housing in Rexburg. If youre looking for a clean, reliable, and modern atmosphere the Abri offered me this and more! Without a doubt one the best picks for complexes in Rexburg.

This place was honestly kind of a nightmare. They changed management within the first year of the complex opening and it made everything harder for everyone. The old manager was flaky and never responded to anyone. The new manager was better, but also not super responsive. They only valued and cared about getting new renters. Once you rented and signed your contract, they completely forgot about you and never returned any messages. They would give new renters all of the discounts and did nothing for the people who had been there for 3+ semesters. I finally moved out, and after 3 months (after consistent calling) I got my deposit back. When I first moved there it was $200. All of my white-glove checks at the end of the semesters were perfect and never got marked down for anything. My returned deposit check was only for $50. I called and called to see where the other $150 was and they kept saying that someone would get back to me I have been moved out for 5 months and now no one will even pick up the phone when I call. The walls were also paper thin and you could hear everything from your upstairs neighbors. The amenities sucked for what you were paying. They were new, which was nice, but it wasnt worth it in the end.

If youre looking for a feel good story on the nightly news about how businesses have jumped in to help during this Covid-19 crisis, it likely wont feature Abri Apartments. My son (who has underlying health conditions) was evacuated from Abri as soon as BYU-I closed classrooms. They just required a final payment for semester housing, even though my son hasnt even been in the apartment for over a month. With no Force Majeure clause (natural disaster), they keep collecting rent while residents have had to flee for their lives. Corporate greed trumps care, compassion, concern! File that away when our kids return to the campus!

I have lived here at Abri for 2 semesters and I love it. While I have sacrificed being very close to campus, the quality of the apartment complex has made up for it. My favorite perk of living here is the assigned parking spots, because the last apartment complex I lived in made you search for a spot to park in (between 5 parking levels in a garage). As well as it is very disorganized. On the good side though, every room has their own bathroom and thats a big plus, as well as its a nice place very modern. I have mixed feeling about this place. I have lived here for two years, mainly because I love my ward and bishopric, and the hassle of moving just isnt worth it, especially since I have an ESA, and one of my roommates became my best friend and we both planned on staying. The first two managers were not great, the new manager is better, but it wasnt until spring this year that I started having troubles. There were issues with my account that took way to long for them to update, not really their fault as it had been a previous manager who messed it up. But I couldnt submit maintenance request for the longest time, and theres stuff falling apart in our apartment. I had to ask multiple times for anyone to do something about the ant problem on the first floor, they came and sprayed, but we still have ants, and its winter! I understand the need for white glove clean checks, but they are so strict that I spend hours and hours cleaning and am filled with anxiety about them. I wish they would bring back the opt out option, they hire a cleaning crew to check them anyway, why not just have them clean. You can tell they cut some corners on the construction, but overall the apartments are nice, maybe not nice enough for how much were paying, but still nicer than a lot of other places in Rexburg. I do appreciate that management has been understanding when I have had financial troubles and had to pay rent late, it has been a lifesaver once or twice when I was in a tough spot. The current manager is super nice and she does a better job at listening, sometimes you just have to remind them a few times. We lived in both a town home and a deluxe, I love that in the deluxe my room and bathroom are attached, thats super nice and convenient, especially for my cat. The rooms are a good size, but I can hear everything going on in the clubhouse and common area from my room, they did listen though when I asked them to talk to the people making noise and havent had an issue for awhile. Ive enjoyed my time here for the most part, but if I had not signed year contracts I probably would have moved sooner...maybe, I really hate moving.

I would put zero stars if possible. When I moved in at the beginning of the semester the kitchen was disgusting and covered in ants. The floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped in 2 weeks. Parking is $75 dollars which is extremely overpriced, I paid that much at another complex to put my car in a parking garage. The Management is extremely unorganized, every time I go in my account the price I owe is different even though I paid my rent in full at the beginning of the semester. Originally I was told I would receive discounts and would not pay more than $1290 but ended up paying more. The walls are extremely thin. I can hear my neighbors conversations through my bedroom wall. The TV in the living room projects directly into my room along with the voices of anyone in the living room. The cable hardly works and the WiFi does not really cover our room. Showers are extremely small you can forget about shaving and if you are bigger you won’t fit.

After 6 semesters in a different complex this place finally convinced me move somewhere else. The Abri is a 7 min walk from the smith building which is great! The mattresses, BBQ grill, clubhouse, workout room, and especially management here are awesome. Apartments are laid out decently but the living room carries sound very easily through the apartment. The wards were my main disappointment, the mens 2nd floor is matched with American Ave which makes for almost no community and family between buildings. If you prefer a more quiet high quality place at a good price, the Abri is great. I just wouldnt suggest it for new students due to the very poor ward zoning.

I wouldnt recommend Abri for one big reason: the price. I legitimately feel that you pay too much living here. Theyve got advertised that Fall 2019 is somewhere in the $1300s for rent (which imo is a good price for the place), but if you look at the price for Winter 2020, its a horrifying $1648 base price. I kid you not. Thats a shockingly bad jump in price from one semester to another. If you sign up for the 2 semester contract, youre still paying over $3000 for the two, which just isnt worth it.Never would I consider that a fair price for the Abri experience. The construction process cut many corners (which is evident by the things falling apart, the non-soundproof walls, etc.), management is oftentimes frustrating to deal with for many (I personally think theyre ok at what they do, not great, which is below how they should be performing when their residents pay upwards of $1400 per semester atm), theyve got events that interest some but not all (so many residents are left feeling disconnected entirely from the staff and other students)... theres just too many downsides for this to be worth what you pay for it.If youre rich (and I mean VERY RICH. Cmon, $1648 is amongst the most expensive payments you could make to an apartment here in Rexburg) then go ahead and sign.

Save yourself the time and money, the staff and management treat their jobs like taking care of their tenants is a hassle and not their job.Take a good look there is a good reason almost half the stars for reviews for Abri are single star reviews this review is long but covers a great many problems I have had along with my friends. Ive lived 5 going on 6 semesters this complex, since it was constructed, in that 2 year period, 3 new managers. I stay because all my friends had contracts, and one of my best friends had to finish a full year contract he signed, not knowing the struggles we would have. The apartments are decent and location is OK being close to main st, however, quality is a facade, ask anyone about the multitude problems at the apartments. Showers go cold after 5 minute showers during the day, parts of their low budget designed rooms is already coming apart, such as but not limited to their floor boards and cabinet corners which they used arts and crafts glue to assemble. Paper thin walls, a kitchen sink with little pressure, both fridges have broken lights, door knobs fall off and again they repair with minimal effort, and will fall off again within the week, stopped asking them to fix it and just put it back ourselves at this point.During winter, they do not have any cleaning procedure for parking lot, allowing snow and ice plots to accumulate. Whole apartment gets one mail key. One of my roommates received a defective key, when he returned it they charged him despite being broken on reception. Vacuum cleaner does not suck, instead you can feel the pieces flinged out the back as they bombard your legs.Need a medical support animal? well they make it as difficult and are as harassing as possible to ensure it doesnt happen. It is the law so they comply when necessary, but they figure if they bug you enough might let it go, so that is exactly what they do.My MBS All-Terrain Longboard which at the time I had spent $300 to buy was left in their storage over my break. It was stolen right from the storage, Despite having cameras on site, management said they would look into it, I asked multiple times a month to receive numerous evasive responses, and it reached the point where they refused to discus the matter. This point is not too serious but shows the lack of reliability in management, I approached management to renew contract for one more semester, they offer a dual semester lease and I decline stating I havent decided if I want to stay because my best friend still lives here, I go back 2 month later decided to extend it again, only to be told it was already done. To my mistake having not properly reading my contract, they extended my lease without my being notified, had I decided to leave and sign another lease elsewhere I would have been screwed.During my first week here, And despite the poor management, the few employees and the manager new myself and everyone by name even, now that I go once a week to complain about something new, they ask me who I am, and which apartment every time. The new team has no regard to people if you are not friends with them, I cannot stress this enough, with the new staff, taking care of their contracts (You) to them is a hassle not their job.

The security of the place was great, but the walls were way too thin (I could always hear what was going on in the living room and the hallways of the apartment from my bedroom at all times). The gym that was suppose to be an extra perk of living at the Abri, but was a huge disappointment. There were many instances that extra weights, benches, and several other things were promised to be installed and added, but nothing ever arrived my entire time there. The management was honestly really nice, but when it came time for me to renew, there was a problem with my contract and they received one not signed by me with my name on it. Instead of allowing me out of the contract, I was held to it and if I chose to cancel, which was what I did, I would have to pay a $100 fee. I was not the only one that had this happen to that period. The only good thing about these apartments are the workers. The manager and her office workers are very nice, but other than that this place is just not worth it. I paid over 1400 dollars for a spring semester contract and it honestly made me sick knowing that people got the same size room and kitchen for 500 dollars less at North point. Uncovered parking anywhere else is around 20 dollars, but here for some reason they charge 50. There is no shortage of parking, as a matter of fact they even give out second parking spots to people for a little bit more money, so I don’t understand why they charge that much for outdoor parking. There is plenty. I don’t even know what the money is going to either, because there is only 1 study room for guys, 1 for girls, a lobby room, and an extremely small gym. There are ALWAYS people in all of the rooms making them useless half the time which is annoying enough, but these rooms are NEVER taken care of. They are always dirty. My girlfriend and I noticed that someone didnt change the trash in both of the study rooms for at least three weeks. The floors are never swept and always have a thin layer of dust on them, and the bathroom on the first floor only has toilet paper in it half the time. Also, the managers have messed up my rent payments both semesters. The first semester they accidentally charged me another months worth of rent, and the second semester every time I logged in to pay my rent the amount I owed them would change. Once it showed I owed them over 4000. Ultimately Abrí just isnt worth the price, you can get everything Abri offers and waaaayyyy more, from some of the bigger apartments for easily 400 dollars less with even a better location. I seriously do not understand why they think they are worth that much money.

The worst apartment I have ever been to. They charge sooooo much for everything. The rent ends up to be more than $450 per month with all the fees. They charged one of the roommates for having someone else leaving some dishes in the sink after everything was shining. Nevertheless, they NEVER cleaned the apartment’s common areas. My fiancé and I always try to find a place to study and hang out; and not only they only have one study room per building, but also they are disgustingly dirty. The stains on the picture have been there whole semester. They literally don’t have a janitor hired. When I asked them if they have someone that cleans the apartment, they said that their maintenance guy is supposed to do it. A guy that has an education to fix electricity and sewage is not gonna mop floors. Haha. It is so ridiculous how cheap they are. The cabinet doors broke twice already this semester after they replaced it. Look at the picture of doors. If you have a laundry door open while you are doing laundry and someone walks in the apartment, pray that they don’t open the door too fast and hit you very hard. Anyways, the funniest part is that they tried to give me $50 to my fiancé so he can take out his review. Wow, his dignity is not worth $50, but I am sure a lot of other poor college students went for it and had to take down their real reviews. Once again, no amenities, very dirty, way too expensive, managers suck and try to charge for every little thing (late fees if you’re late one day just because you simply forgot), and very cheap built (thin walls, everything breaks, very small space: pictures on the internet are deceiving. The ceilings are so short and rooms are tiny). For the love of everything, don’t live there and don’t support this kind of business.

The management is always really helpful and accessible.Cons-I personally think that for the quality of the apartments, and compared to other Rexburg apartment prices, these apartments are very overpriced. There are some deals at times, but I still feel that they are overpriced. On top of the high prices, parking is not free, $50 for a normal spot and $25 for the stupidest thing called tandem parking where one car blocks another from getting out. I know a lot of places charge for parking, but the parking here is ridiculous. The parking spaces in general are really really tight, and in my first semester, I saw a lot of hit and runs happen in the parking lot.My biggest complaint is that the sound control is non-existent. The walls are incredibly PAPER THIN and it felt like anyone outside of my room was actually inside because of how well the sound travels. It was miserable and my biggest frustration. You can also hear everyone in the hallways of the building because the floors are not carpeted, and it echos like crazy. After my first semester there, someone said that they would put sound absorbents on the walls to help with all the noise echo, but I never saw that happen. I lived on the complete opposite side of the building of the elevators and we could here people using the elevators/the bells ALL THE TIME. and the elevator was pretty far from my apartment. Thats just one the small example of how incredibly terrible the sound control is there. The other problem I saw was the potential unequal square footage of rooms. My first semester I lived in a town home, and that was a HUGE mistake. First off, the second fridge is an after thought, and its upstairs while the kitchen is downstairs. Who wants to run up and down the stair each time they cook? The rooms in the town homes are terribly spaced. The apartment I was in had 3 rooms. One was GIANT, one was average sized, and one was so small that management had to put one of the students desks in the hallway. And dont get me started on the uneven closest sizes. In the small room, they had literally half the closest space as the other rooms. And get this. They had to pay the exact same price as all the other girls, even though they were completely jipped. If youre living in Abri, do not get a town home. Also, if you dont have a car and have to walk to campus, this is not the ideal apartment for you. Especially when it is cold and windy. Many of my friends who visited me there said that the apartment felt like a hotel, and not really a place to live. Funny thing, my toddler brother also for some odd reason called it a hotel and refused to call it an apartment.Overall, it did the job. I had somewhere to live. But because I am a local, I would actually go home for weeks at a time because I needed sleep, and the constant sound/the terribly hard beds made that impossible. I would not live here ever again, I know there are much better places that are cheaper.

The town-homes are spacious and management cares about you individually sometimes, but I think its overpriced. The walls are extremely thin (when I can hear my roommates use the bathroom upstairs and Im downstairs, something needs to change) and we can hear everything outside our apartment. Its about a 10 minute walk to campus. Its got a nice club house room, but the halls are very barren with dull colors. They do allow you to opt out of White Glove, but if you dont have 6 roommates they will up the price and charge each person more simply for not having a full apartment, which doesnt seem fair. They are very insensitive to anything like anxiety or PTSD and likened it to that feeling of having to pay rent which was absolutely absurd. Upon a rumor being told to them about me, they never spoke to me about it to try to determine if it was true, just passed it onto the honor office without telling me where I was under review for a false issue that would have gotten me kicked out of school had it been true. Unprofessional and inappropriate behavior on managements part and the lame excuse of well I was busy. As a person with bad anxiety, that was horrible and a lot of unnecessary stress.

This place us awful, seemed i got the worst luck with roomates, i only had one good roomate the rest were gamers and unsociable. they had none of the same intrest i had. the apartment looks nice when you first go in but take a closer look and your realize how cheap the apartments are made. managemet is inconsiderate and will make you feel stressed about being home by curfew 24/7, as well as they charged me 25$ for failing a clean check when i wasnt able to be back before the clean recheck and my roomate told them that. over worst semester ive had at byui and made me never want to go back to my apartment. very disapointed. and one more thing... signed for spring then the following winter told them at the begining of spring i want to cancel my contract due to the fact i will be going into the marines and the charged me 100$.
