Cant say enough good things about Woody Smith Ford. We started having trouble with our F150 while on a trip from Wisconsin to the Pacific coast. We limped into Rexburg where the truck quit running in Woody Smith Fords parking lot. Zac was out very quickly and diagnosed fuel pump problems. After making arrangements for our travel trailer they pushed the truck inside and in a short while they called and yes we had a bad fuel pump, they had the part and they could squeeze us into a packed Friday schedule. On Friday they got us in right away and were done with the truck by 11. If I lived anywhere near Rexburg this would be my go to place for all work on my F150.
Got an oil change. Decent price, took about 35 minutes. Did a whole inspection of my car, along with the oil change. Cost me $44. Had comfy couches to wait. Good environment. Definitely recommend!
I live in the Seattle area, and after determining a fair price for an F150 Limited, I contacted most of the dealers in my area. This was in March of this year, a bit before the really scarce supply we are experiencing now. Even so, all the dealers I contacted had no interest in negotiating when I told them the price I was interested in. I decided to go out of state, and contacted Russ Emmitt at Woody Smith Ford in Rexburg Idaho. After a few emails, we arrived at a price we could both live with. Russ submitted the order immediately, and within 10 days or so I had a VIN number. He kept me posted of progress, and I never worried that I’d been forgotten. The truck went to Ramp 59 like many do, but it was delivered in perfect condition on Monday of this week.There are now direct flights from Seattle to Idaho Falls, and the dealership picked me up at the hotel. This was a beautiful and painless experience, and allowed for a gorgeous “bonding” drive home. I would highly suggest anyone in the west to contact them and see what you can work out. Sadly buying a car / truck today can be a miserable and deflating experience. This was just the opposite. Even the finance experience was handled just as you want. Options were presented, but none of the in your face tactics.
Overall I was very pleased with the experience. Price was right around what they quoted. I took my truck here because I know that these techs do good work and they stand behind it if there are any issues. I did a timing job and oil pump and it there was a noticeable difference. The only issue I had with this was a feeling of a lack of communication.When I first went to schedule the job they said it would be about a month out which is fine because I have heard great things about the work they do. I was also told that it would be about 2-3 days. So I drop it off first thing Monday and don’t hear anything, so Wednesday around the end of the day I call and was told they were still working on opening every up.I called again Thursday to see if they had opened up the front cover and could see the issues with the timing system and was told that they found the issues and were good to proceed with the repair and it should fix the main concern. I asked for a new time that it should take to complete and was told that it should be done that day or Friday morning at the latest.Friday evening roles around and I still have not heard anything so I call again and am told that it still has another couple hours of work left and it would be done maybe Saturday or Monday. Finally get the call Monday around 1ish saying everything is good to go.I work on cars and do smaller jobs and understand some jobs run into issues and might take a bit longer but would have really appreciated a little more transparency with the updates as to why it took double the originally quoted time frame. It made it really difficult as this was my daily driver so I was need to coordinate my travel and was not planning on all those extra days without a vehicle.Again I stand behind them and their mechanics work but wish they would be a bit more open with what was going on and help explain the delays. It is more frustrating when expectations are given and not delivered without a reason. I am paying for the repair and would like to stay informed about what it going on with my vehicle.
Great guys to deal with while my vehicle was in the shop. They gave me a loaner vehicle while mine was in for repairs, which was awesome. The only complaint I have is that I always had to call for updates on what progress was made on my vehicle and what was the timeline looking like.
These folks listened to my concerns, I just went in for an oil change. And the bottom plate of my Mustang GT Was not staying on. The service manager Mickey told Me not to worry they would take care of it at no charge fantastic service. When was the last time any dealership or for that matter any repair place took responsibility and was accountable such as these folks. I will continue to take my service to Woody Smith Ford. And continue to recommend them. We all look for places like this to take our vehicles to and I have found one thank you Woody Smith.
We thought our Yellowstone vacation may be ruined and we didn’t know how we would get our trailer and family home after our F250 started overheating. I tried repair shops in W Yellowstone and Island Park and they were all booked for at least two weeks. I called Woody Smith and spoke with Shayne in the service department. He made arrangements to get my truck in the next day and it was fixed in less then 24 hours. It is good to know that there are places like Woody Smith Ford that work to make sure vacationers don’t get stranded and still get to enjoy some vacation. Thanks to the crew!
Took my Ford Fusion in for a repair due to a recall notice. Shane Tapper (Assistant Service Manager) is very friendly and knowledgeable. In addition to fixing the first recall issue, he went ahead and fixed a second recall issue that had just been issued! Instead of making me wait for him to order the parts and bring my car back in for service weeks or months later, he found an alternative source for the part and fixed it that very same day! He went above and beyond without even being asked! The service staff at Woody Smith Ford are top notch and I couldn’t be more pleased with their customer service and workmanship!

All the items were completed quickly and almost done very well. This is my second time I had an alignment, and the second time my steering wheel is miss aligned. It’ll drive me nuts until I get it re-aligned. Otherwise everything seems good.
My personal experience was not so good. I found a truck posted on Car Gurus and emailed them to get more info. A salesman responded quickly with several photos of the truck, which I appreciated. I responded back and said we would take the truck, but within a few minutes of doing that the dealership raised the price of the truck by $2000 and would not honor the original price that THEY had posted.Very disappointing, but pretty typical. Clearly $2000 is more important than earning a loyal customer or just simply doing the right thing.We usually buy a new truck about every two years and it’s very difficult to find an honest dealership that we can stick with. This dealership is just one more of many examples of why it’s so difficult to find that.
The gentlemen at the service department were super. They went out of their way to help me. If I am in the area again I will definitely bring my Ford truck to them.

It took forever to get the truck looked at. Once they got it in the shop they quickly identified and fixed the problem. This was the third shop we had taken it to. I would have given it 5 stars but downgraded it due to the long delay to get it looked at. The trucks issue was wiring that kept shorting out. Ultimately, the fix was quick and inexpensive. Personnel were excellent to work with.

Brought my truck up for diagnostic and service. Service managers are both excellent to work with. They understood my concerns and communicated well with me throughout the time required for service. Had a small snafu when picking the truck up that required it to stay overnight, they quickly found a solution and set me up with a loaner vehicle for the evening and had my truck done the next morning with no additional charges. One of the few trustworthy dealerships locally. Will definitely be working with them again!
They are always so nice and friendly. They treat you right and want to help with any thing. I have gone in many times for questions and services and I always leave happy. They are not to bad on price for some things. It is the cheapest place for me to get my oil changed.

Took my pickup in for an oil change and a full inspection a few week ago and they didn’t do what I asked them to do. They checked my new tires and put in the report they were good tread...that’s it. No wash like they usually do with an oil change. Last week I had a rear u-joint go out and took it to a local repair shop to fix. Had they done what I asked they would’ve caught that and I wouldn’t have been stranded. My parking brake cables have been cut and nothing was mentioned to me about it. Pretty disappointed.

I was having trouble with the Bluetooth and they helped out; and did an update and even gave a good price on that. This place was pretty great. The A/C on our Explorer stopped working on the passenger side right before we were leaving on our 2k + mile road trip. Needless to say it was in the high 90’s low 100’s for our trip. Our dealerships back home were not able to get us in for 3 weeks to a month out. We were given a pretty high quote from them as well.On a whim I called up Woody Smith Ford in Rexburg (we were staying Rexburg for a few days) and explained our situation. Even though they were also booked for 2-3+ weeks out they took pity on us and Shane was able to squeeze us in. I was fully expecting to get taken advantage of, but was more than surprised when I received the bill. It was truly nice to see a good ol’ honest shop with good people who are not just trying to make a buck off of “desperation”. Very impressed.

Went in to get my transmission checked out because it was slipping, they removed some fluid and couldn’t find anything wrong with it so they didn’t charge me. Honest work.
We bought a 2014 Focus from them in 2018. I was a poor college kid with a wife and newborn. It was a lot of money for us, but they were really nice and reassuring. A few months after purchase, it started shuddering and shaking when shifting gears (its an automatic). Long story short, I did some digging and found out that the car had already had the clutch replaced **THREE TIMES** (it had ~70k miles when we bought it), and needed the same again. Obviously I wouldnt have bought the car had I known. None of that showed up on the CarFax or other reports they gave me, even though I was told about the history of the vehicle directly from Ford. Their dishonesty really hurt my family financially.

Every time we have any work done it is accomplished in a fast and efficient manor. Never have any problems with them. Curtius friendly counter personnel and great mechanics. They get all our business.
Service department was awesome, easy to make an appointment on their website. They did the work, accepted a coupon and I was there less than an hour! ThanksNext visit for a recall was fantastic, service department communicated a scheduling conflict a few days before the appointment so I could make new plans. Left it there and picked it up after hours and everything was completed and worked great!

We had an great experience at Smith Ford in Rexburg earlier this week. These guys took great care of us with the purchase of our new truck and the related accessories. I had looked all over Idaho and Utah and Smith Ford had the best deals I found anywhere.Prices were more than fair and they werent pushy or aggressive. Also, although I dont usually buy them, they were also quite a bit less expensive and aggressive about their extended warranties and other related services the finance department always offers when you buy a car.Both Austin in the sales department and Austin the Manager did a great job and were super easy to work with. They were even patient with our 11 month old, who wasnt as excited to be there as mom and dad were :)We had some aftermarket stuff scheduled to install and they were also easy to work with and fair priced in the parts and service departments, which was a breath of fresh air compared to most other dealerships Ive been to!Thanks for the great experience guys. My wife is already looking to replace the family car, so Im sure well be seeing you again sometime soon!Stop in and shop here if youre in the market for a new vehicle! Highly recommended!

Our salesman was Derek Smith. He introduced himself when we first walked through the door. He listened and responded to the questions that we asked. He went on a test drive with us. He answered all our questions about all the bells and whistle‘s and what each knob on the dashboard was for. Sometimes he explained, other times he showed us by pushing the button or had us a push the button. We found it to be a good experience.. There was no pressure nor did he push us to commit. So far we are happy with our purchase.
We went in for a factory recall for my pickup. They estimated a wait time of 30-45 minutes and were finished in 20 minutes! They had cold beverages and comfortable seating while we waited for the repairs to be completed!

This place is awesome. I was on vacation and decided to have a Titan fuel tank installed and these guys did a fabulous job. I ended up needing brakes all the way around, and a new wheel bearing on the front. They took care of it all quickly and were extremely fair with the pricing. I couldn’t be happier with the customer service! I’m tempted to make the 900 mile journey from Washington any time I need work done on my truck.
