Very helpful staff! Everyone is knowledgeable and friendly. I came in not having any idea what I needed and walked out feeling confident with less stress.
I try to support them, but they almost never have the basics that a saw shop should have. Every time they say they just sold the last one. Then they only order 1 more...that doesnt make any business sense. I will not risk waisting my time driving there any more. Go to Titan Tools
Hi I found a wallet outside of the building I live down the street and Im trying to get help finding the owners
Jeff and staff have always been very helpful and professional.
I appreciate Allen and the team. They have taken great care of me for years. I would highly recommend them
Ive been using this business for over 30 years. Have bought equipment and annual service from them. Recently, I went in to get a replacement bar for my chain saw. The replacement they gave me had the wrong chain pitch. After the first use, it was obvious this was the wrong bar and it burned up the sprocket. I went in to get a new bar and asked them to replace it for me ($55) since they had put the wrong one on. The owner was so incredibly rude. Accused me of not buying the other bar from him. And, even though he had a new one in stock, he told me if you are going to be that way, it is no longer for sale. Go to Titan Construction instead. Cheaper and actually nice.
Great. Just went there today. I had expected to drop off my mower but they were able to do the minimal repairs I needed right then and in 15 minutes my mower was running and ready to go. I got the mower at a thrift store knowing that I was taking a chance. When I added fuel it leaked. I not that mechanically inclined so I took it to Sierra Repair and Sharpening. They replaced the fuel line, spark plug and air filter. They did recommend a full tune, but that was too much for me at this time. They didnt try to talk me into it, they said they understood and the minimal stuff that they did, for a very reasonable rate, should get me through for sometime. Thanks guys!
Not customer focused. I have been buying power tools (mostly chain saws) for 45 years. These are the rudest people I have ever dealt with. Bought a chainsaw and was told I do not know how to start it. I have been climbing trees for 45 years. I will never go back.
If you want rude, youve come to the right place!I am a Vet, showed up with my service dog and was promptly told by some nasty guy....I presume the owner....to get the dog out!!!!! I explained he was a registered Service Dog and that he and I were both protected by Federal Law.....and that any intereference with me or the dog could get him busted.I wanted one of my knives sharpened.....he gruffly told me that they only sell lawn mowers.....even though their sign on the building says Sharpening! If you need a lawn mower or some courteous service....go somewhere else. These people suck the big one!
I purchased a large Snapper snowblower here. These people could not have been nicer, and their customer service is excellent. I have this machine serviced and stored here every summer to keep it in tip-top shape.
Fast service on my lawnmower!
These guys are totally awesome. I went there with an issue on my Toro lawn mower, they helped me understand what the problem was, looked up the parts needed, and then HOLY COW, they had the parts in stock. Good people, fair prices, and super knowledgable. I highly recommend them.
Brought my old Stihl chainsaw in for repair, received an estimate within a day or two and saw was finished within the week as promised. Prompt and reliable service. Will be back
Id spend 5,000 in equipment, it was nice until start bringing equipment for service. for small repairs or service. equipment always came worst. cheating and laying. ....over charge and make me loose money for their mistakes when repairing. stay away.
Excellent service job on my Toro mower. Reasonable.
Nicest, knowledgeable, most helpful staff. I wont spend another dime anywhere else in reno!
I took a honda lawn mower and Stihl weedeater in for spring service. Before I had even made it to I80 they called and told me the Stihl was dead on arrival, someone had used normal gas and it was useless. I believed them. They then looked at my mower and again said it was finished. When I picked up the tools, they charged me $80 for basically telling me my tools were dead, but told me I could put that amount toward a new tool. I went in to the shop, picked out a new Stihl, and requested the $80 credit. The same guy then told me, Oh my mistake, you have to buy a new mower AND Stihl weed eater. Left vowing not to return. When I got home, I pulled the plug on my Stihl, sprayed some oil in, put in new gas and it runs PERFECTLY! What LIARS! They obviously just want to sell new products. My son then started my Honda mower, and it also RUNS PERFECTLY! Stay away! Stay away!
Appalling, nickel and diming, border-line lying and cheating. I brought my Stihl chainsaw in to have the rope, handle, & rewind assembly fixed (very minor repair). Before doing so I called to get a quote to make sure I wouldnt have sticker shock when I came to pick it up. They price they quoted me sounded fair ($26 labor +parts), so in a went and dropped off the saw. It took two days before the repair was complete and when I picked it up, and upon hearing the total, was absolutely shocked. They had increased labor rate they quoted me by 30% (from $26 to $38), and when I asked why, they explained that the original price was quoted for the re-wind assembly repair detached from the saw; this is a difference of 4 simple bolts, or about 2 minutes for both removal and re-assembly. They charged me a total of $22 in parts for a starter rope, a $0.90 plastic piece, and an inferior plastic handle (not the OEM rubber handle). On top of all that, an additional $7.00 in shop supplies. When I asked the manager to explain that ambiguous line item, he said with an honest look of embarrassment anything from towels for my guys to wipe their hands on to lubes sprayed in the saw. The line item immediately below that was Lube $1.35. I pointed out that he had already charged me separately for Lube, despite no lubrication needed on this side of the saw; he stood there speechless while I gave him my look of disgust. He knew I had called him on his BS. All in all, my total for a starter rope and handle, a small plastic piece, and a job that takes anyone remotely familiar with a stihl saw no more than 15 minutes to complete, was $70.61. I understand these guys are in business to make money, but this is a clear and bold case of taking advantage of your customers by overcharging on parts and labor, and throwing in extra line item surcharges to make another couple bucks. This was not honest pricing whatsoever. At the end of it all, it just left me with that terrible feeling of being taken advantage of. Save the frustration and go somewhere else, or do the work yourself. I will certainly NEVER RETURN to Sierra Repair: Bad Business Ethics.
Always had good, quick service on mowers & generators!
These guys are the best saw shop in town!
Unnecessarily rude! Wont get any business from myself or anyone I can influence...
Great professional service
