Amazing experience! The staff is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable! I talked with Ernest there for over an hour about various hobbies we had in common. I had a day off from work in Reno and they provided all the extra riding gear I needed. They even had recommendations of where to ride. The KTM 1090 that I rented was in pristine condition.

I dont come here for the motorcycle and ATV rentals which Im sure are great. What a lot of people dont know is Nevada Adventure Rentals is a full-service, very well-equipped rock climbing shop. Every climber knows we dont have anything close to a real climbing shop in Reno. Well, this is it! . This store puts REI to shame. Barry, the owner has almost everything you need and can order almost anything he doesnt have. He also has a lot of camping supplies for sale and rent. If youre a climber make sure to support this place!

They had everything I needed for an adventure motorcycle ride. Was in Reno and wanted to do some dual sport riding in the mountains but my bike was back in Missouri. Rented a bike and all the equipment from them. They had everything needed and was quality equipment, comfortable not cheap gear. The best part was the KTM, what an awesome bike, and will probably buy one now. Some awesome riding nearby.
This place is completely awesome. I thought I would only rent once but I find myself considering doing it again. Totally worth the price and the Matthew was so nice and super simple to deal with. They literally provided everything I needed at no cost. From trailer, helmets, and tow ball. I would highly recommend them.

I almost never write reviews, but renting from NAR was an incredible experience. I met the friendliest staff Ive ever encountered and was given great recommendations, amazing service, enthusiastic attitude.
Outstanding service, value, and equipment. You could not find a better way to spend $180 in reno. We rented 3 different dirt bikes to get a feel for the each. Each bike was well equipped for adventure with durability upgrades, had ZERO mechanical or drivability issues, and included panniers or some type of bag as applicable to the bikes capabilities. We didnt have any riding gear, but no big deal because rentals included some VERY good riding gear as well. I anticipated some schweaty ol used up gear but everything we were issued was in great condition and felt very protective.We hit Moon Rocks OHV area, at their recommendation, where a variety of terrain provided suitable challenges for everyone in our party. Couldn’t be happier with our day out! It was a total blast. THANK YOU NAR! -also I love KTM now.
What a great experience from start to finish. We rented Quads - very new Honda 420s. They were loaded on the trailer and ready to go when we arrived. They even had the hitch attachment we forgot at home. Suggested taking a picture of how to strap down the Quads on the trailer. So smart. Recommended going out to Moon Rock and it was a perfect call. All kinds of terrain from beginner to Double Black Diamond. We had a blast.Reasonable price. Great service. Would definitely rent from them again.
Yesterday I had an incredible experience with NAR. For Father’s Day my wife offered me a one day rental of a KLR 1090 dual sport motorcycle. NAR has a fleet of rental bikes from dirt bikes to harleys and that’s where I went. From start to finish it was a perfect. They got me through the paperwork in no time, and dressed me in clean, quality riding gear. I even got a brand new helmet and Bluetooth comparability! By 8:30a I was on the road, and I headed all around Lake Tahoe. The bike are up the curves, and was perfectly maintained. Life just doesn’t get any better.Returning the bike, I had more of a chance to look around the shop. Wow! This place has everything from motorcycle gear to camping gear to full climbing ropes and racks. Their camping food and energy bar selections are second to none. (I am partial to the Tahoe Trail Bar energy bars!!)What a day NAR! Thanks for making one of my greatest dreams come alive.Wes King

Barry not only has the best lineup of rental models but has all the gear and the best knowledge of the area! He doesnt hassle you and is a great sport... I rented a bike from Nevada Adventure Rentals last week and it was the best day I have had in a while. The owner Barry and his staff are knowledgeable about their equipment and good places to ride in the area. I have lived in the Reno/Tahoe/Truckee area for 35 years and they were still able to suggest places that I had never been. I actually went in several times before my rental to check out the bikes available and ask questions. I was able to buy copies of the maps they were using to show me roads. They also fitted me for riding pants which were the only gear I did not already have.The Bike was a current model KTM 1090 Adventure and it was a great choice for the tight Gold Country roads I rode. I am a dirt-bike guy and the KTM Adventures have a very dirt bike feeling riding position which I love but with the power of a liter-class sport bike which I love too… The bike was well maintained and set up with every option I can imagine needing for this type of bike including skid plate, wider foot pegs, Hand guards, bags and more. I don’t know if it is always the case, but the bike I rode included a Garmin GPS which worked well all day even in dense trees in the back country.Checking out was efficient and only took about 20 minutes not counting me getting geared up and checking in was even faster. There were no hidden or add-on fees which is nice and has not been my experience with other rental places.I am happy to have NAR here in town and will recommend them to anyone who will listen!

The bikes are great and they are super helpful with gear. But be sure you get a price quote before u show up. The website lies about prices, I was charged double. Plus they tell you that there is one price for a security deposit and again they will charge you double. Great bikes but I will not be back.
Our experience with Nevada Adventure Rentals was spectacular. Barry was a pleasure to rent from, and its obvious he is passionate about sharing his love for bikes and the outdoors with renters. Had a great experience renting from NAR. Customer service was excellent prior to the trip and Glenn gave us top notch service once we arrived. My buddy and I only rented for 1 day but Glenn set us up with a great route which let us see some beautiful country with an awesome route including on and off road riding. We rented the KTM 1290 and KTM 1090, these machines are total beasts and were in excellent shape for rental bikes. Will definitely rent again on my next visit to Reno

This place is a 5 star all around. The guys at the shop are so friendly and so informative. I asked a ton of questions and they answered all of them. They had plenty of equipment for us to rent. They recommended a couple of places to ride and ended up taking us out to Dog Valley. Great recommendation! The kids had a blast. The Stampede Reservoir was a breathtaking view. We got a 10 out of 10 rating for the day across the board by our 6 kids. And the Sasquatch Tavern and Grill was a delicious recommendation as well. By far the best day we have had on vacation so far!

The experience my wife and I received at Nevada Adventure Rentals was fantastic. We were looking for a bike to rent so that my wife could ride some trails with me. The Honda CRF250L we rented was in great condition and allowed my wife and I to share an amazing summer day cruising the trails between Reno and the Sierra Valley. This is the place to start if youre visiting Reno/Tahoe and are looking for an adventure.

Having the week off out here in Reno Sparks area we have golfed. Ridden horses but what was the best day yet was our renting some quads from Barry at NAR. He literally hooked us up. I knew of two places to go ride since I did homework in advance. Barry confirmed the Moon Rocks area as the place to go. The two Honda 420s were perfect. The helmets, gloves were just fabulous. I have only been back in our place here that we are staying for a couple hours and have shared the info with multiple people I know that are the outdoor adventurous types. Thanks again NAR for making the entire experience easy and effortless.
I can’t say enough good things about this place! The owner is such a nice, down to earth guy and he’s insanely knowledgeable about everything outdoors! We rented a bike for my husband’s birthday and the entire process was so quick & simple, the gear was very clean and even some of it brand new! The pricing is very fair and there’s ample selections to choose from. I wish I’d known about this place years ago, this shop is an ABSOLUTE must to stop by if you are planning on any outdoor activities; camping, dirt/road bikes, climbing, etc. Thanks again & we can’t wait to plan our next adventure with NAR!
A friend from out of town and I rented Barry’s 2 KTM 790 Adventure motorcycles. We explored dirt roads through the trees and the incredible twisties on between Sierra City and Downieville.Nevada Rental provided all the top quality gear (Alpinestars) and the bikes were set up just like you would if it was your own with the guards, and extras (GPS, etc)It was a great experience and I hope to use this resource several more times this year with visitors.We paid around $200/day per bike (including the gear) so it is probably what you would expect on any other full fay activity.
I can not say enough good things about this place! I have rented bikes from several places and this is by far the best experience I have had. If you are looking to rent a motorcycle or dirt bike in the Reno Lake Tahoe area look no further. The bike was ready to go when we got there set up as we had asked with the windshield and luggage boxes. All the riding gear for two was included as well as GPS. The bike ran like a dream. You can not ask for more. We will be back!

I rented a KTM 1290 Adventure for a 3 day ride with my son and best friend. The rental experience was super easy, all the “extras” were included and the bike was in excellent condition. The whole experience felt like I was borrowing my neighbor’s bike. 100% recommendation. I’ll be back.
Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The prices for the MREs were actually quite low, and they had a great selection. They have some pretty high-end equipment which was a bit too rich for my blood.
This place is awesome! I have been in a couple times to inquire on gear and camping spots around the area. The owner has been very knowledgable and when I rented gear from him, it was all in great shape and I was able to rent everything I needed. In addition, they have one of the best selections of climbing gear I have seen in Reno, along with other camping essentials such as fuel and camp meals. I would recommend this shop to anyone who has climbing/camping gear needs.
I rented a Polaris Sportsman 400 ATV (with riding gear) for 2 days, during which time all equipment performed flawlessly. Barry and Ernest were very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient from check-out to equipment return. Highly recommended.

Rented a KTM 790 on a whim to see if I liked the bike. Wow - they have it together. Plenty of bikes to choose from. The bike I rented looked brand new, with everything I needed. Easy rental check in and orientation and just as fast when I returned it. If you need a bike for the day or for a long trip, this is the place. Loved working with them and I look forward to renting again.

Barry and his team are the best in the business!! I called on a Monday night and they had me squared away to pick up the coolest KTM by Tuesday morning! The check in was incredibly smooth but most of all, they have the nicest and most helpful staff. My son and I rented two dirt bikes from Nevada Adventure Rentals this past weekend and we couldn’t be happier. The dirt bikes were in excellent condition and looked brand new. In addition to the bikes the rate (which was very reasonable to rent a bike for the entire day) also included all the gear you need to have a safe and fun day of riding. The riding gear was in excellent condition and they had different sizes to choose from to make sure everything fit comfortably. If you’re in the Reno area and want to have a blast riding dirt bikes I highly recommend N.A.R.

Showed up here a few days ago after looking all over for a bike to ride with my friends in South Tahoe. The customer service was top notch, and I wasn’t pressured to get carried away with my rental. I appreciated that there weren’t geographical restrictions with the rental, the price was the best I found online, and the guys did a great job of making sure I was outfitted properly. Having their hitch hauler on my rental car and the help loading/unloading was an added bonus. Can’t wait to use NAR for my next trip back out here! Keep up the great work guys, it was nice to find a business that “gets it.”

Truly a one-stop-shop for your adventure travel needs. Motorcycle, camping, hiking, and climbing gear are all represented; for sale or rent. I was in Reno for a business trip and rented a dual sport motorcycle on my free day. Barry and Glenn were super friendly, and very accommodating in picking me up from the hotel, accepting a last minute bike change, recommending nice dirt and street routes, and dropping me off at the end of the day. Barry even took my calls a day before his wedding! Hope to do business with these guys again next time Im in the area.

We planned a 2-day moto camping adventure and our buddy rented a big KTM here. We experienced outstanding service and a surprisingly loaded store. They supplied us with a beautiful rental ready with softbags. They also had everything we had been looking for and plenty more. The sheer variety of energy supplements and camp food was amazing. The owner Barry was incredibly helpful and friendly both at pickup and return. This is definitely a business worth supporting!

Just completed a 3-day rental from NVA of a Harley Davidson Street Glide for a ride down to Yosemite. Worked with Glenn and received friendly / genuine service and got a free shirt at the end of the rental. Roads on the trip were amazing, bike was in perfect working order and handled them nicely. Would definitely rent from these guys again.
I rented the KTM 1290 and rode all over between Bishop CA to Reno NV. What a great experience! The rental process was super simple and they have tons of VERY nice gear in all sizes. I used the Bluetooth in the helmet to intercom with my buddies. Also, I just parked my car right at Nevada Adventure Rentals while I was out riding for 5 days! Super easy! Thanks guys!!!

Im in Reno for vacation and wanted to do a motorcycle trip. I had no idea what or where it would be. Barry set me up with a great bike and an amazing trip. Reno to Virginia City to Carson City to Tahoe and back. His directions were spot on and the ride was the best one day trip Ive ever taken. No issues other than being distracted and missing an exit. Sweet place to test bikes out. I’ve rented a Honda crf250l, ktm1090, ktm1290. And it was a blast. Reasonable prices, nice staff and a good selection of bikes and gear. I will definitely go back and rent the ktm exc500 soon. They used to do 24 hour rentals which was nice but renting from 8-5 is plenty of time to put some miles on the bike. 👍
Just finished a 3 day ride through the Sierra. I rode a KTM1090 and my friend was on a Honda Africa twin. The process was very easy and the bikes and gear were in great shape. Glenn was especially helpful with route planning. We will absolutely rent from them again!

I rarely ever leave reviews but I felt compelled to give my full recommendation to Nevada Adventure rentals. Barry and his lovely wife are extremely welcoming and their store is well-stocked with a great selection of rental motorcycles. Our dirt bike trip to several mountain areas around Lake Tahoe hit a lot of snags due to our own lack of planning and Barry was there around every turn to be accommodating and make sure that we had everything that we needed. If you are planning to go to the Reno or Tahoe area and need a rental motorcycle and great support I would recommend this business highly.

Hired a KTM 1290 Adventure from Nevada Adventure Rentals for 2 days. Barry and his staff are 6 stars out of 5! Amazing service. They helped me find the right ride every day and the bike was set up perfectly. Little things like visor cleaner, cleaning cloth, 12v USB charger and other handy stuff was all part of the rental. All gear was supplied being clean and tidy. Barry, the owner, had even washed my socks after day one! The rides I had were super super cool! I had a blast. You can do anything you want around Reno, on road, off road any level you like and the scenery is amazing.A massive Thank you to Barry and his team for making the last 2 days absolutely memorable.If you want to ride a motorcycle for any length of time these guys are THE place to hire from. We rented a Yamaha ttr230 for a day. It was alittle older than I expected but well maintained and it ran great. Not bad for the cheapest place we could find
If I could give 6 stars, I would. Ive bought two pairs of rock climbing shoes from them and couldnt be happier. Great pricing! The second pair of shoes were impossible to find locally, so Barry actually ordered them in for me. It only took a week and his price beat anything available on the internet. Im sending everyone his way!

Equipment and bike I rented were in great shape. Glenn even took the time to map out a route for the day and program the GPS. Which allowed us to just sit back and enjoy the day.

By far the best place to rent a motorcycle in northern California. Barry runs a first-rate operation. good selection of bikes. outstanding customer service and attention to detail. great coffee and a killer sandwich shop right next door. i would not rent from anyone else in Reno. it was refreshing to see an establishment run like someone cares-namely Barry. he gave me a motorcycle map with all the twisties highlighted and a lot of local advice. ill be baak.

Reached out to Nevada Adventure Rentals about renting a motorcycle for a day, during my week long stay in Reno. They were very knowledgable on the area and set me up with everything I could possibly need, including nice set of boots, pants, jacket and tank bags. The mountains are incredible and their bikes are perfect for the terrain. Bike I was on was 2017 KTM 1090. Highly recommend them if you have a spare day or afternoon in Reno.
