I am re-writing my review as I finally receive the information that was needed. It did take a few weeks after I attempt to get them but I finally received them.On another note, I have no issues with preferred. Then the Internet is stable sometimes we have outages here but who doesnt. The prices are a bit high well for me but its what we have out in our rural area. All and all I am satisfied with the company
Great customer service . He was wonderful would use them and him again .Very friendly and did the job !)) stars for him
Technician was extremely professional. exceptional customer service, he paid attention to detail. would highly recommend him for any future endeavors. believe he his a huge asset to the company.
Used to be decent now with newer owners I jave intermittent service and nobody cares. Not very happy about this supposedly upgraded better service.
Great service, talked with a human from the united states who spoke english. Paul installer was excellent, friendly, and on time. Do not change how you are doing business.Thks Rick
Did a great job on the install and was very courteous
We love Preferred Networks because it is everything we need and the employees are nice and there is real customer service. And Ive always talk to a REAL person when I call! Carlos, our technician, did a great job--we needed to move the dish because our trees grew and were in the way. We suggested a place to him, and he looked at the tower on Rawe Peak and suggested a better place, one we hadnt considered. He did a fine job and our internet and TV are much faster. I recommend P.N. to everyone I can, and have been bragging it up on our Next Door. A young woman we met this week was looking for a job and I suggested she try P.N. Seems like it would be a good place to work.
Excellent timely service and follow through.
Service and reliability has gotten much better over the past year. They the best option when fiber isn’t available.
Exhausting internet service. You have you put so much time into Prefered Networks that they should be paying you. Massively overpriced ($100 a month for 25mbps, then, $8 a month for tech support.) Massively unreliable. Company wide outages, regional outages, individual outages, constantly. If tech support can’t help you, good luck, you’re out of luck. They don’t really do any service outside of Monday - Friday business hours. Too bad the rest of us work Monday - Friday business hours. Frustrating trying to talk to anyone competent. Or anyone who cares. Zero customer service, zero reliability. If you have cash to burn and you casually use Facebook, I suppose they’d be okay. For those of us who rely on internet to earn a living, they are just awful.
Great job and no complaining about crawling under my house. Thank you M Butler.
4-3-21. Tested my new bandwidth with Cloudflare, Speedtest and Sonic.Im getting 15 Mbps DOWN and 4 Mbps UP (Without VPN). Latency 30mS and Jitter 3mS into Sonics server (San Jose). New provider appears to be utilizing ZAYO.COM for Backbone Bandwidth. Tested at 3:30AM.Update: 6-11-21. Bandwidth with the new provider has been stable. Unfortunately since their unwilling to upgrade me to their advertised 25Mbps service (The same equipment has been on my rooftop for 6 years now), it appears Ill be leaving them when the next higher speed service comes available.
Great service fast ! And did not take any time at all awesome work!!
I have had Preferred Networks internet service for several years. It has always been reliable. I have the lowest level of service and it performs well. If I have needed technical help it has been excellent - usually above and beyond what I need help with. I recommend this service.
Can’t get a real person for tech support, they want you to leave a message. Service has been on and off lately!
Awesome job Kyle was great and very informative
Mix up on our info and was uninstalled. Called company and was taken care of and service back on. Thank you Preferred Networks!!
This is the worse WiFi place ever always going out.
Good reliable service and people willing to help and work with you
Preferred Networks provides very good and reliable service. The rates are also reasonable. So glad I got this service in time for COVID! It has made a huge difference for everyone in the house.
Lack of response time. Internet goes out frequently. They do not follow through on commitment in regards to scheduling or calling back
Your internet slow and it cost way to much and it should be unlimited
We live 5 miles out of town and works great!
There have been a few minor issues with the service itself, but they are always on it. The staff is always friendly and the techs are highly efficient and quick. This company has always stood behind their promise of excellence for us and if there is a mistake made, they are not only apologetic, but eager to fix it.I like that when you walk in the door they have a smile ready for you. They also offer customer appreciation events. This company knows what it means to be located in a small town and how to impress the community.
I HAVE BEEN WITH THIS COMPANY FOR ABOUT 2 IF NOT MORE AND WERE ALWAYS SO GOOD.. BUT NOW LATELY I GOT A BILL FOR $212.00 AND I THINK THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS AND I AM CANCELLING MY INTERNET. I WILL NOT BE PAYING OVER CHARGES WHEN I ALREADY PAY $80 A MONTH AND I STILL THINK THAT IS RIDICULOUS!!! NOT WORTH MY MONEY, PLUS THE INTERNET IS ALWAYS GOING OUT.
When you try to call them they never answer they put you on hold and then hung up on you with the Internet goes out very often I wouldn’t think you guys should consider this due to the fact that you guys going to be losing a lot of customers and going somewhere else you guys need to fix your Internet problem
I love that my call is answered and handled immediately. Ive been with them for years and am very happy with my service! Thank you!
My experience with preferred networks has been wonderful. Netflix works without buffering no matter the time of day! I am able to play internet games without any lag what so ever. I would recommend preferred networks to anyone.
Preferred Networks has taken very good care of me over the past year. I am able to Skype my grandchildren back east and that means the world to me. I also stream Netflix for entertainment. I recommend them to anyone interested in reliable service and fantastic personal customer service.
Awful internet! Goes out probably at least once a week for several hours. Super expensive for what you get. John the owner/tech support guy has awful customer service. He actually is kind of a jerk.I definitely wouldnt use them as a provider if there were any other high capacity/no capacity providers. Please stay away if you can!
UNBELIEVABLE! A power outage the other day caused our internet to go out and I could not reboot the system. After calling them they were out in just over an hour. They advised that the box could be fried and there would be an additional cost of $120 on top of the $80 service charge. The technician advised me that the box was fine, so only the $80 would be charged. They could have easily sad the box was bad and I wouldnt know, I needed to keep my business up and running. Today they swing by to let me know that another customer had the same problem and they found out it was something on their end AND that there would be NO charge at all!!! I run an ethical company that does business with others the same, but this company always goes the extra mile. Impressive!!!
So I have been with Preferred for 3 or 4 years now. When their equipment is working the service is great. I opted for a 8gbps program which most of the time is at that speed or better, but some nights and weekends that speed drops off to around 4 or 5 mbps. I understand that is when everyone is using the internet more, but if you pay for 8 mbps then you should get that all the time. Funny thing is after I complain the very next morning the speed is back up to where it should be. So it isnt my equipment or router that causes this problem. On the other hand Preferred is quick to respond to problems and if the internet goes down it isn t down for long...
Internet is down quite often.Update: apparently they dont like people complaing that the Internet is down quite often. Manager called and said if we dont like it we can switch providers. Really??? this is customer service?
Great Internet, we are getting much more done with consistent and fast internet.
Honestly this is the worst internet Ive ever had, I pay 100 dollars a month for 350gb of internet! Well every month I run out, I cant watch movies on Netflix or even play video games! Without running out of internet! They say people never use this much internet bs! With this generation everything is ran off wifi! I have 8 smart tvs and 4 gaming consoles and in my family we have 6 smart phones 😡 Its so irritating to me! The companies that dont have data caps out here only run their services to the street over from me. They act like if you go over 350gb you are letting everyone around you use your internet when thats not true at all! Its called a big family and paying that much money for you to be capt out is ridiculous, at least if you run out of 350gb of internet they should slow your speeds down! Not completely cut off your internet since you are the ones keeping them in business
Yerington has been behind the times on allot of things including Internet! Not any longer!! Preferred Network can handle all of you high speed needs from home to commercial use. No restrictions on commercial use for all thoes gamers that cant stop. Plans are affordable and the staff was very helpful sorting out my needs and informing me of the friendly policys they have if you get cliffs or go over your data limit. If you are in need of High Speed Internet that is reliable, in my opinion this is your absolute best, really the only option in Yerington. Thank you Prefered Networks...
These people are a complete and utter rip off. I recommend you call someone else like High Desert Internet for your internet needs. Preferred has lousy service and their internet goes out when a tiny cloud shows up. They are rude on the phone and the service is unreliable. Do NOT use Preferred Networks.
Excellent Customer Service, Reliable Internet Connection, All Around a Great Experience!
Before switching over to Preferred Networks, I was getting a very patchy connection through a cable internet service, due to how diluted their network is in my neighborhood. My connection would drop completely if I even got close to the up to 60 Mbps I was paying for. My ping was sporadic, and I couldnt reasonably rely on my internet service to stay up while I would do schoolwork online. After switching my service to PN, my ping is stable at between 9 and 10ms for the vast majority of the time, the reliable and steady connection has never dropped, and the customer service is so thorough and helpful that its as if they are there with me every step of the way.I would definitely recommend this service to any home or business that is fed up with paying premium prices for intermittent services.
These guys dont cover their own equipment. I had to pay $200 because the radio they installed on the side of my house malfunctioned. Thats in addition to $70 a month for sluggish internet.
Service down and no one answers tech support it states the mailbox if the person your trying to reach has not been setup yet, very disappointed in the service but stuck until charter comes in
Not verry honest, had to have them out to repair THERE equipment.took a week to show up.then out of the blue here came a bill for 208+.why should a customer pay for repairs when I do not even own the equipment!!!
Not impressed
