Well equipped, spacious and clean equipment. Generous cardio mezzanine. A cool gym, but much of the strength equipment is aged, and the changing/shower room is a little grimy

This is the gym I’ve been looking for here in Reno. Great location, spacious, lots of mirrors, high ceilings, and plenty of equipment. Was told they will be doing a remodel soon too!

All the workers ever do is just gossip. Gym is always packed and the hours are still not open 24/7???? Like really this was the only reason I got the membership. Not to mention all their old machines that are on the verge of falling apart plus SUPER DIRTY. Take your money elsewhere like CRUNCH fitness.

Super workout aided by great equipment.

There were two people at the reception desk. One playung with a hula hoop and the other was just standing doing nothing.

Nice gym. Good selection of equipment.

They limit your exercise time to 90 min and require reservations. They want to cut your workout time in half, and still charge $40+/month, almost $500/yr. Thats insane. No other Reno or Vegas gyms have these COVID restrictions, and there is no evidence to support shutting down businesses every hour to sterilize surfaces to reduce COVID transmission (its transmission is mostly airborne, not via surfaces). I fully support masks (and science!), but over-sterilizing is mostly for theatrics.Ill gladly apply when they get rid of time restrictions (big variety of equipment, not cramped), but otherwise you might as well use a starter gym like Planet Fitness. No squat racks or bench presses there, but at least they dont micromanage your exercise time.

I was excited to have a gym close by that offered multiple amenities but this place is filthy. Every state Ive lived in I went to gyms and I have never seen anything this bad. I signed up for a year sadly. The 24 hour fitness on the other side of Reno (I live in the NW side so it more convenient to go to the garbage dump one) is much cleaner. I wish I could show you pictures. All stalls, in the ladies room, at 2 of my work out sessions were clogged. Each one of the feminine bins over flowing in the stalls LITERALLY. Its a problem not being able to use a bathroom. Steam room smells so rotten it will take your breath away. Sauna wood has black oily scum embedded in the seating. That was fun the first time I scrapped my nails across it to have black scum come off. And how should I describe the scum and hair floating around in and around the hot tub which so many times I complained about over a 6 month time frame. The hot tub has been slightly better recently, not quite as bad since they finally changed the filter and maintenance it after repeated break downs.I am an honest review that is not paid nor given anything to share my sincere opinion :-)

Yes, the gym itself needs an overhaul or a really good cleaning crew to come in, but they have some great class instructors for group fitness. Virginia and Emma both deserve a shout out for great Zumba classes and Aida is very innovative as well. Turbo Kick is great too.... hopefully at some point new competition will make the 24 hour fitness franchise improve this location as far as amenities are concerned

This gym is very dirty, especially during COVID. Many people do not wear masks or wipe down their equipment and the management does not care. I have approached the management many times asking them to tell people to follow the precautions and they do not care and just laugh about it. They dont care if you get Covid. You can find another gym that is cleaner for cheaper.

Great gym in North Reno and super close to campus with lots of parking, having had trained here for years when I was younger, I look back and miss a big nice 24 hour fitness. This place has it all, from a pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub, a large cardio deck, multi fitness room and a massive free weight and machine flow. Everything is clean, the staff is held to a standard and the cost is minimal for all that you get. Try moving to a small town, where there is no competition to make business see and understand how to maintain a high quality product.

Dirty, old nasty gym. Clearly management does not care, just look at the place. Showers are dirty and are missing tiles with sharp broken edges. Maybe someone needs to get hurt and sue, so that corporate will do something to fix the issues. When the steam room breaks its down for at least 3 weeks. Good thing that a brand new Planet Fitness is opening up very close to this place. Ridiculous facility!

Nasty gym, overpriced and both locations are no longer 24 hours after Dec 2nd. Used to be a loyal member but they push a lot of members away with an awful environment. Best bet is Anytime fitness or Eagle fitness in the same area.

I would like 24 Hour Fitness to get with the twenty-first century its time for scan cards punching your phone number and your fingerprint is old gen tech.Also 9$ for a towel is a rip off. Other then that no complaints other then the clubs are smaller.

I can’t believe they cancelled the 5:45am spin classes. That happened to be the only early morning class. We were not given a reason. The instructor did not know either! . The management of these clubs don’t seem to care about anything but Zumba. There is a ton of these classes at different times. What are those who are interested in something besides Zumba supposed to do?it doesn’t seem be be lack of instructors . There should be some more body pump also!

Looks like a nice place. I had just moved to town and wanted to try it out but they would not let me use their free pass without a local ID. They offered a 15 dollar day pass instead. Again looks nice but I will never work out there.

Needs a lot of updating. The lockers are falling apart, tile floor cracked in several places, the equipment is old and a lot of the padding is worn out. Nothing like trying to do leg lifts with a metal bar pressing on ur shins. In all fairness its been almost a yr since I used the machines, so I cant say if they have fixed them. The steam room, sauna, and hot tub are great!

Its my gym but needs a lot of work. Some of the equipment either needs to be replaced or repaired. In a positive light, the staff is friendly and the gym is clean. It would be nice if the manager appeared more interested in the facility. I have yet to see him out on the gym floor or talking to any of the members.

The 24hr fitness Corporate Needs to Upgrade both 24hr fitness in Reno Nevada in order to keep members who are used to Super Sport Clubs in San Ramon Ca and Irvine and All Super sports especially in Ca. There many more clubs in Reno have better facilities with Indoor Swimming pool, juice bars and womens section. In order for 24hr fitness keep members and especially the ones who are moving to Reno are Not going to like these two Below Average, Dirty club the Steam room Stinks!!!!

Decent gym, good bit of equipment, but they dont maintain it well. If something is out of order, IT IS OUT OF ORDER FOR MONTHS. No excuse for it.

This is my gym, but as numerous other people have mentioned, it definitely needs updating. I love going to some of the classes - the instructors are great and have invested in their members and love doing what they do. If it wasnt for them, I think I would have found another gym by now.The upstairs treadmills are very noisy and are very likely going to fall apart sometime soon. Weights missing, and usually crowded, especially weekday evenings. I do like that they are open all the time - can get my workout in after my swing/night shift when its not so busy.They now also have wifi, so thats nice, even if its so slow I dont use it most of the time.

Been to this gym since 2007 and It has improve quite a lot since then, different type of cardio machines and weights, I do must say management its a little on the down side and they could include more classes for males and trainers who are more interested to show you and get you fit then just getting your money. but by far the best gym in the Reno area. Will definitely keep going.

Big dumbells. Seems like people come here to play with phones and are missing out on the best gym. Waste of dues. No wonder they get no results. Free weights do not go out of date.

This sales rep named Josh start showing me the classes pointing it out using his middle finger I walked out without saying anything to him and then when I was making a complaint to the front desk rep and showing her what he did he started yelling at me from across the room saying I dont need to be rude to his employees. When I was showing her exactly what he was doing to me and he stated I was being rude to her. Absolutely disgusting Behavior representing 24 Hour Fitness corporate name. Disgusting

The free weight selection is incredible. There are group classes upstairs every day. Trendy crowd.

Should have know this was bad place the day after I sign. After signing, met a employee that would help me plan my workout. Just moved to Reno, said I went to planet fitness where I use to live. He said that place is awful terrible gym. Wish I knew the stuff I knew about 24 now. I would say why is it bad. Free wifi, newer and updated equipment, can cancel any time I want, only $10 a month. I really wanted to like this place since I lived in the apartments across the street from them. I would never go back to 24 hour fitness even in another city. My biggest complain is the cancelation and payments. So I guess their one year commitment rolls over to month to month after the first year. No phone call, no email, or mail nothing to tell me my year was over saw a month so call and said I was done never see another charge. Well guess what next month comes along and another charge. Now call the gym again and they said I didnt cancel the membership they can cancel memberships over the phone. They would be nice to know the previous month. Had to call a 800 number just to see if I could at least get the last charge reverse and they said they will look into it. Are you kidding me avoid this gym

Many different types of work-out equipment. Hygiene is very poor. Equipment and locker room is not cleaned. Hot Tub and Sauna is disgusting. Equipment is broken often and getting old. If facilities were redone it could be a great gym.

I joined this club approximately 6 months ago. I joined mainly for the classes. Well to my surprise MANY of the classes the instructors didn’t show up and come to find out they had notified the people they were supposed to BUT the people that work the front desk had NO idea class was cancelled. This was also not passed on thru the website. With all the different means of communication available to us today, you would think they could be better at this. On a different note the BRs are so gross !!!! Toilets in women’s BR are always broken and recently a sink. I pay a lot of money to be a member. I’m soooooo disappointed.

I really love this gym. The hours work well with my work schedule. Staff os always friendly and helpful. Every now and then you run into those intimidating gym goers but what gym doesnt?

I just moved here and Im surprised at how terribly maintained this location is. Most of the cardio machines are either malfunctioning or unsafe to use. The workout equipment is constantly broken and needs to be replaced. The locker room looks like something from 60s horror film. The staff is nice but it doesnt eclipse the overall ghettoness of the facility. Whats most surprising is that its in a nice part of town. The location on Niel Rd is accolades better.

Ive been going here on and off since the early 90s. Most of the equipment is failing apart and is hardly updated from the early 2000s. The lighting is horrible and makes the place feel dreary and depressing.The gym is always crowded except the weekends and it seems to have lots of members. They desperately need to take the member fees and apply them to upgrading the whole place.The price is around $30 a month, but you might as well pay extra for a better gym or save and go to a cheaper gym.

This 24 hour fitness really needs a renovation. Most of the equipment there is old. The building itself is also not in good conditions. I live in Reno and in Rohnert Park, CA. I obtained my gym membership back in California, because the 24 hour fitness in my city is amazing; it has a basketball court, sauna, steam room, a hot tube, a huge swimming pool, and some other unique machines. However, this 24 hour fitness locater in Reno is nothing compared to the one back home in Rohnert Park, and I am paying the same amount of money for the service. Im pretty sure that 24 hour fitness has a lot of members that pay their memberships. The company really needs to renovate this location on sky mountain rd.

Facility has a wide variety of equipment. There is no WiFi for members, and some areas are in need of repair. Would have given a higher rating if they had WiFi.

Good staff, lots of machines, old flooring with some patches, old locker room but all still functional.

The gym has aged over the years with very little up keep. The items they do fix are poorly done with the wrong parts. The flooring is bubbled, the roof leaks, they dont use the A/C so if its hot outside its at least 10 degrees hotter inside, the equipment is the original from when it was opened as Golds Gym and deteriorated, its dirty, and the staff almost always ignores customers as they wait at the front desk or check in. These items were brought to the managers attention several times including in writing, expressing the safety and health concerns, each time he disregards the issue with sarcasism or wont respond. Nothing has changed each time issues are brought up.

Its not any fancy health club. Its a straight gym. They have everything you could want to use in terms of equipment and free weights and cardio equipment. Ive tried almost every gym in the Reno area and this is the only one where people actually shut up and work out. Im not there to make friends, I want to get in, hit the weights, and get out. For the price and availability you cant go wrong. Just keep in mind that they do close on X-mas and Thanksgiving. I was kind of annoyed by that.

Participated in the Tour De 24 Spin Class. It was awesome and the instructor (Dana) was really, really good - You can tell she likes/loves her job!!

Overall a nice facility. The locker room and some of the equipment is a bit worn.

One word: Outdated. There is no Wifi, no air conditioning on the 2nd floor where the cardio equipment is and all the equipment needs to be updated pronto.

Lockers are broken, bathrooms are disgusting, sauna is breeding ground for mold. Machines are outdated. This needs attention.
