The Computer Guy(ies) have been extremely helpful and responsive. Every time I dropped off my computer they gave me a timeline which they kept so I was able to continue my work without a lot of interruption.

At first I was very reluctant to try them, but as the tech. worked on my T.V. and surround sound system I became aware of how knowledgeable he was. Im convinced and will not hesitate to use their services in the future! I highly recommend their services as Im convinced they are highly qualified to solve any problem You are having! These guys were AWESOME! Very empathetic and realistic about my situation after I spilled water on my laptop. I appreciated the honest conversation regarding what could be done, which meant I never felt like anything was trying to be sold that wouldnt be worth it (repairs, file recovery etc). Everyone I talked to was professional, kind, and most of all knew what they were talking about. I really appreciated the fact that their diagnostic fee was appropriate, unlike some higher cost competitors in the area, and that they were timely and dedicated to doing everything possible to ensure a good result. They even sent a check-in e-mail a few weeks after to ensure things were going well. Thank you Computer Guy team- top notch everything!

Okay so (full disclosure: Im standing in the shop right now), after reading their reviews (and being recommended and referred) I came to The Computer Guy with no hope for my poor little computer. I was on vacation the previous week when a pipe burst above my computer, leaving it, of course, severely water damaged and dead. I had no hope anything could be done with it, but when the guy behind the counter said they could take a look at it, it turns out I can recover all my data!! And when I needed an extension to pay for the work, they really helped me out!These guys are miracle workers, come in anytime! Super professional, sincerely nice and willing to go the extra mile. Im just pleased as punch! I goofed and I plugged the cord into my 2T external hard drive upside down and it pushed in the port to my hard drive, making my hard drive with ALL my family photos useless. Ive been contacting places for months and most of them said all they could do was Data recovery for around $400. This place thought outside the box and said if you buy a refurbished drive of the same kind we can probably swap out your hard drive into the shell of the other hard drive, and then you can plug in and access all your files. The cost of a refurbished hard drive $70, and their 30 minute repair $50 made the total way less then the $400 other places were quoting (They could have very easily said we can only do data recovery instead of repairing the drive like all the other places were telling me) . Well worth the 2+ hour drive to Reno. Also, They usually dont make appointments and finish same day, but since I was driving a ways to get there they bent over backwards and got my project done that morning while I was in Reno (I made sure to coordinate this before going). Well done Computer Guys!! Ill be recommending you in the future.

The Computer Guy is the honest shop to take your computer for a general cleaning to a major repair. Theyre reasonable, reliable & a Christian shop.

Although I had built or upgraded a few machines of my own in the past, I ran across two errors I did not expect. the were swift and on the ball, even about linux, which some shops dont even know about. I was in and out in under a half hour and updated it myself cause the guy explained it to me fairly easily. thanks guys!

I spilled liquid on my Macbook, which immediately made the screen turn black, and had taken it elsewhere to be diagnosed for $199. Unfortunately they werent able to retrieve the data off of it, which was all I was hoping for (I had a feeling the cost to repair wouldnt be worth it). They were very upfront about the cost being $199 whether they could retrieve the data or not, but still, I was really bummed about the whole situation. I wanted a second opinion so I called around, and was actually referred to The Computer Guy by another laptop fix it shop, and was told if the guys there cant fix it, no one in town will be able to. Pretty telling of this shops talent. When I arrived, I spoke with Max, who took it into the back to see if hed even be able to retrieve the data. After about 10 minutes, he verified that the data couldnt be retrieved, but did all of this free of charge, which was greatly appreciated since I had already spent money on the issue. Although he wasnt able to get the data off of it (my hard drive is fried), he gave me some helpful tips and a couple of out of state referrals that could potentially help me, albeit at a very high price, but he was just very kind and helpful during my unfortunate situation. This places customer service is top notch- highly recommend!

This business is absolutely top of the line! They were experienced, proficient, super friendly, and went over and above the call of duty. The repair on my computer was much more extensive than they had anticipated, but since neither of us knew the extent of it, they only charged me a fraction of the time they actually spent. Additionally, since neither one of us knew if I had brought the computer in with one damaged part, they ordered me a new one free of charge. I would recommend this business to anyone!

Excellent place to go for any of your computer needs. They have a very professional, friendly and knowledgeable staff that really make you feel comfortable the second you walk into their store. A young tech named Alec explained all of my options for a new hard drive to best suit me and my computer. Result, blazing fast speed and didn’t hurt my wallet. This is great - my Dell desktop had a pc error - Best Buy (where I bought it a little over a year ago) wanted $130 to look at it in about a week - Dell wanted $140 to walk me through rebooting the computer but said I’d probably lose everything on it - Computer Guy took care of everything - saved my data - repaired my computer and reinstalled windows. The total charge was what Best Buy would have charged to trouble shoot it in 7 days and it would have been $50 less if I hadn’t needed same day service. I love these guys - they’re nice, they explain stuff in a way a non-nerd can understand and they get the job done. First stop in the future. 🧡

I had nothing but a very good experience both times I went to the Computer Guy. Not knowing a lot about how computers work, or how to even look up a Trouble-Shooting Guide when things happen, I usually call my son or grandson. If they dont know, I figure I am in deep trouble.Which brings me to both times I needed help ASAP! I thought I was going to have to buy a new computer the first time but it only needed a new cord! I severed it in the foot mechanism of my recliner. This last time, it wouldnt let me sign onto the computer, I figured I was going to need a new battery, wrong again! In less than an hour they found the culprit and had it up and running just like that!!!Both times I would have sworn I would need a new computer, but no, it was fixed & being a senior on Social Security, I was still able to afford the repairs. All I can say is, if you have computer problems or, like me, dumb questions, Go see The Computer Guy! They are nice, friendly people! They dont gouge on prices, and they dont waste your time or money!!!Knowing me, they will probably see a lot of me!

Brought my laptop in for a power port replacement. Was given a quoted time and price. Later they called me and changed there quote to a higher price and a longer time. Even after inspecting the laptop, they couldnt give me anything accurate. When they finished ripping me off and wasting my time, they had the gull to then try to force their religion on me. I came to get a repair but left with a URL for a web site detailing why I should believe in Jesus. While I respect your right to believe in what you want to believe in, I dont feel you should be forcing your beliefs on other people, especially if your running a business. I do not follow there religion and even though I made that clear to them, they still insisted on telling me how much Jesus loves me. This kind of thing makes me very uncomfortable and I will not be going back. To those who need computer services, I recommend you go elsewhere. Especially if you dont follow there religion.

The Apple Store is a long way from my house and The Computer Guy is just down the street. So where am I going to go? I had a problem I needed help with. Christian was (and is) smart, kind, helpful, and useful. He took care of my Mac laptop quickly and efficiently and its done! Yay! P.S. They also have cute dogs in the store just to keep you company while you wait!

I am still using the desktop computer that I had them build for me several years ago and just came in today to do a RAM memory upgrade and they had everything I needed and were very knowledgeable about the computer issues I was currently having and how to fix them. Would not take a laptop here ever! Brought in my laptop for repairs and was told it needed a power jack after diagnosis. Went to another local shop who I wont mention and it turned out to be it just needed a new charger! They were going to charge me 10x the price to either repair something that wasnt broken or just not say anything and replace the charger. Beware!

I own a local business and was in a bit of a panic as my laptop wasnt taking a charge. After replacing the power cord, it still wouldnt take a charge. One call to Doug at The Computer Guy and he told me to bring it in. He trouble-shoot the machine, recommended a new hard drive. I left the machine at his shop and a couple of hours later he called me and everything was fixed! In fact, I am writing this review on my repaired laptop. Doug and staff are now my GO TO for place for all my computer needs! Big Bonus is the fact this is a Christian Company!
