It’s no longer called Maurice’s Barber shop, it’s Charlie’s City Barber Shop. I’ve had nothing but good experiences here. Charlie definitely knows what he’s doing. It’s next door to a Jimboys Taco shop, so if there happens to be a wait I can always grab a taco. He accepts appointments so that’s the smart way to get in but walk-ins are welcome too. I’ve personally seen these guys cut ALL types of hair and they do an excellent job. People always ask me where I get my hair cut. 5 stars easy.

Edit: Derrick now has his own shop 438 S Rock Blvd, SparksI only go for Derrick! He beats all barbers around hands down! He takes his time and does a great job every time!

Got a straight razor shave for the first time and have to say it was a pretty cool experience. I highly recommend getting one especially if you never have.

Ive been here several times...Charles is not a friendly person, plus he cant cut hair....you should see my receiving not square hairline....hes defiantly not cutting my hair again.....I used to have pointed size burns that came to the bottom of my ear....charles and his other barber keeps cutting them off square...options g to cut MY hair the way THEY want it....not the way I requested it....one week your haircut will be 15....next week...20.......week after that....25..do not go to this place...you have an old man their and hes a numb...save your money

Great barber, the only thing is he makes to many appointments that even when you get there early to your appointment, you still end up waiting 3 hours for your damn haircut. He needs to learn how to manage his time correctly. I just sucks making appointments when you still end up waiting for long ass time..

Got a Hair cut From Derrick Smith ! And Probably wont be getting another hair cut From anyone else . He was polite and professional and just chill to be around . Nothing was rushed and He made sure to take his time (but not too much ) to ensure everything was Lined up and styled the way I wanted !!!! DERRICK SMITH is the man!

If I could review without giving stars I would. I didnt even make it to the door to get horrible customer service. I made a phone call to inquire about their hours and prices. What I got was a bunch of yelling in the back ground to other customers, and when I inquired about the hours the response I received was man I close when I wanna close, if you coming come on and before he could finish his sentence I had to hang up the phone rudlyas he put it when he gave me a phone call back and left a voice mail. I can admit hanging up without saying bye is rude, but answering the phone and talking to potential clients that way is rude. If rudeness is the motto of the business it should be stated when one answers the phone. From a stylist to a barber, make sure you treat your clients and future clients with respect at all times. It goes a long way! It wasnt meant to be, now let me go do what Ive been gifted to do on my own head. I just wanted to give someone else a chance and remove my own doubts about Reno and possibly make a buisness connection. Now, not a chance! Ill wait until I get back to my own state.

Derrick and Charles are the best barbers to get your clean fresh hair cut they take there time and make sure its right the 1st time been there 6 times and wont go anywhere else now and the were so plight to my kids thanks barber shop

Terrible! Just got my hair cut asked for a simple taper fade with a slight trim and he totally messed that up and he completely messed up my eyebrows! Terrible place highly don’t recommend

My five year old son usually gets nervous when getting his hair cut but we didnt have that poroblem here. They did a great job, both Charles and Derrick are friendly, professional and great at what they do.

Its decent at best came in friendly staff yet somewhat felt unprofessional older gentleman cut little brothers hair and well twice kept at his phone i mean i dont mean to be picky but i mean at the very least keep doing the cut and not walking away I suppose the haircut was 20 but did not look what they are charging for because after asking for a comeover it looked a bit slopy and the line was so messed up honestly its overpriced and not even worth a haircut
