I have been a frequent customer here for some time and held AAA Rental in high regard. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. After todays experience I cant recommend this establishment in good conscience if you value your life, co-workers life or the property on which you are using their rentals. I will explain (see attached photos for verification purposes).Unbeknownst to the employee behind the desk, I had obtained legal advice prior to our conversation to collect photos/etc. for the discovery process should the situation not be addressed appropriately. It is my hope that this review helps anyone reading it to make their own judgements given the facts below.In order to be brief I will not detail the incident a week ago which stemmed from a bad wiring harness on one of their 4x6s trailers I rented. They do not have to fix that issue because I bought a brand new wiring harness with my own money and fixed it for them before I returned it. There was no thank you.Today I rented a 5x10 trailer to pickup 30 large halophane bulbs and fixtures for a time sensitive project. I never made it to the pickup location due to the fact that the rear left tire on the trailer I rented almost came off on the freeway going 55mph, literally. I lost partial control of the vehicle pulling over because the tire was close to a 45 degree angle. Upon review of the tire it was apparent that the tire lug nuts had not been tightened to spec for some time as they were free spinning at the end of the thread. The tire itself had both camber and feathered wear on it to the point the tire is splayed/bursting on the shoulder, wires are protruding out in multiple areas of structural degradation, the treads are completely bald in some areas and on the inside of the wheel closest to the rim there is a large impact break/bubble.Any one of those areas of structural degradation is enough for complete removal and replacement of the existing tire. I called the store and told them what happened and that I didnt feel safe driving it back. The employee put me on hold and then said to just drive back slow. When I arrived back at the store, before I could even start a dialogue, I was handed a bill for the rental... I asked why I was handed a bill since they had to be aware of the incident, apparently the employee never asked or told anyone of what I relayed. When I began to explain what happened the employee behind the desk told me he didnt know what he could do and that he wouldnt charge me for the rental, which I was unable to use in the first place. I asked to speak to the owner and he said quote, that would be hard given he died seven years ago. When I asked who runs the business now, I was not given any contact information nor was I provided with his name.Ill end with this - we need S&MBs (small and medium sized businesses) to flourish, especially in the age of Amazon/Walmart/Home Depot etc.. I have nothing but high regards for the technician employees and the guys that do solid, reputable work keeping this business afloat. However, the employee behind the counter - your lack of empathy for the customer, general laissez faire attitude towards serious potentially life-threatening situations and the failure of management oversight on any kind of regular maintenance schedule falls under the breach of duty of care, which under California law, means youre not entirely protected under the limited liability waiver. Instead of dealing with this professionally, apologizing sincerely and verbally communicating the steps that would be taken to address these serious safety concerns, you chose to insinuate that it was my fault I didnt catch youre oversight. All legal action aside, any business in any vertical that operates in this manner will fail.I encourage upper management/the owner to reach out asap. My contact details are on the rental agreement.

Best place to rent tools if they dont have it they will get it.

Needed a trailer quick like, well they have a couple that I could rent the same day. Prices are ok, not the lowest price (4 stars). But if you need it fast, they probably have it. They are respectful and helpful - so that is a plus.

Small place but they have a lot of tools for rent.

Always have what I need good instruction on equipment and fair prices.

AAA is the best. Ive used them for years because they are great with the customer service from your first phone call to helping you load equipment in and out of your vehicle, to checking things back in. I come over from Half Moon Bay to use them because I trust them. Id recommend them to anyone.

Small yard but hey have more guys and are funny as heck. Than any big chain rental yard. 10 out ten for quick friendly and funny help

I have been using AAA Rentals for approx 4 yrs, the tools I need are always available, very clean and rent out at a reasonable price compared to various other places Ive been to in the past.I actually dropped by there today and spoke with the staff including Ed at the counter who are super friendly, grabbed a burrito next door at Chavez and that was my day paved out. Ill be going back just as soon as the next job demands tool rentals!Thanks again!

Staff is friendly and attentive. They went out of their way to help me load a dolly in and out of my car, which was very much appreciated. Prices are fair, I highly recommend this to rent out moving equipment.

I only rent tools from this shop about once a year, but they are always friendly and courteous when I show up. All machines have worked great! Highly recommended

Great guys, whenever I need a tool they are there for me, they ALWAYS ANSWER THE PHONE :-) These guys know there stuff, very sharp tools in this shed!

Too expensive

Rented ladders 80$ apiece for the week. Way to much and one of them had to be replaced as it came apart. Supposed to be new ladders older than dirt.
