If you live in California and have a laid back attitude, or if you don’t care what you get from ordering online, then this is the store for you!After ordering online, the This is the store for you!I had to wait two weeks to find out that they could not provide the bike I wanted. It took emails and calls to Joe before I finally got an answer. I will say that Joe found me an appropriate replacement. If course there was no correspondence that the $2800 item had shipped. It took yet another email to get a tracking number.When the bike did arrive it was packaged haphazardly with a Bosch part in a Yahama box among other things. Luckily it arrived safelyOh. Least I forget that I also ordered a kickstand. Nowhere to be found,so once again back to the email requesting a $55 refund for no sent part.With all of the online retailers out there I would definitely avoid this store! Lots of excuses and no follow up. You can do much better.

Great inventory, very nice folks, great price on the bike, and even some nice freebies. Besides (4) loose non important screws (water bottle & rack), the bike was set up great. At first I had a battery that would not charge up properly, but Joe promptly replaced both the battery and charger. The bike has worked perfectly without a hitch since then. I got a Felt Nine E 20 and could not be more satisfied. Two thumbs up!!!

Really good customer service, They gave me a free repair today, I purchased a bike some time ago and had not ridden it. When I pulled it out to ride it today the front tire was flat and would not hold air. I walked into the shop 5 minutes before they closed and the technician repaired it for free on the spot. I was so pleased to be able to get out on the bike right then. Thanks so much for the great service!!!

This place is great, and my wife & I have bought 3 e-bikes from them in the last 3 years. They have a great selection of products, spanning bikes, e-bikes, and accessories. Their staff is also knowledgeable, a relative rarity especially for e-bikes. Their mechanics are also very good, knowledgable, and speedy. One of the few places I would take my bike to be worked on. They are also _very_ easy-going and approachable - the opposite of snooty like some bike shops can be. I am picky and give very few 5 star reviews, but Motostrano has earned it!

What a great surprise this place is! I had no idea about e-bikes and the variety of bikes. They have so many choices coupled with knowledgeable, kind, and friendly staff. I recommend this business to anyone who just wants to check out e-bikes, to the person who is a super-serious cyclists, to the person who wants help making the best choice. Very helpful and supportive customer service.

Great shop. Joe is always willing to give you the best deal that he can. He values his customers and is more interested in keeping your business rather than gouging you for all he can. Lots of inventory on hand from multiple manufacturers. I definitely recommend stopping in to browse or test ride an e-bike.

I have nothing but great things to say about this shop. Its the kind of shop where you know the people working there are really into the stuff they are selling. Where they can talk to you about that cool aftermarket product for a good hour - being really honest about what you are really getting. Not a lot of places do that anymore actually - you know, offer personalized service with the knowledge to go with it. Plus, now that they are servicing and selling bicycles, Ive seen local kids hanging out there checking out the gear, instead of getting in trouble in some alleyway. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Just okay.. Joe in SF was really nice over the phone and gave me a small discount but after I told him that I live in SJ did not tell me about their store in Redwood city, I learned it on my own over the net. Joe was great and deserves 4.5 stars but the guy at the Redwood city location deserves 2 starts.I am new to this e-scooter and wanted the sale/repair guy show me all the little details (many years in electronics and engineering) and this guy just stood there offering no help. He would do something to the bike per my asking but not show me how. and when I tried doing the same myself ...to fold the bike is one example, he just stood there like a dummy. I did fold the scooter eventually trying it myself and hit my self on the head and the guy just looked at me. Very BAD experience and will think twice buying from this store again.Concussion: These guys offer no help at all and I had to pull teeth to get any details about this e-scooter or anything else they had in stock or how to use it.The same guy also changed the standing board on my scooter to a different color per my request but used a power drill and almost stripped the crews as I was watching in pain ready to walk out......This is not my type of service I need buying a 1500.00 scooter.

At first I was a bit bummed to find out that it was going to take longer to receive the parts I ordered. I guess I could have been upset about it, but they kept me updated and my emails were answered within hours of being sent. So, there was no issues in dealing with this store and I wouldnt have an issue recommending them to my friends.Take care!

I travel to Redwood City regularly for work. On the last trip, I found Suburbanbikes (also called Motostrano), located only 2 blocks from where I work. They rented me a high-quality road bike, and I had a wonderful evening riding up the hills to the Upper Crystal Reservoir. The bike mechanics were helpful, and I would very much recommend this shop. I look forward to renting a road bike from them again next time I am in Redwood City.

I have been going to this store for 6 years, first for motorcycle gloves and most recently for a very cool electric bike, they literally have hundreds of electric bikes in stock and I was able to try many different kinds of bikes for a long ride and the staff was very helpful in helping me decide which bike to get, what I liked most was the high quality products that they offer like Bosch bikes, now that Ive had my bike for a couple of years Ive taken it back for service and theyve always been spot-on and very helpful giving you the right information about my bike and offering different accessories that I can add to my enjoyable riding experience, my electric bike has changed my life and I now go everywhere with it and Ive even gone on some of the companys Meetup rides where we ride for 40 or 50 miles with ten or Twenty other Riders all over California, encourage everybody to check out their bikes and then get one using it for commuting but also go on their group rides which are really really really fun

Bought an $800 EcoRico scooter here. It stopped working after 2 weeks as well as had pieces falling off of it. I decided I wanted to return it and was refused. Not to mention that the staff suggested I let them GLUE back on the pieces that fell off. Horrible business - don’t shop here unless you’re rich and don’t care about money, because they only care about the sale and zero about the customer.

I would not recommend ordering online with this company. I placed an order for Rizoma motorcycle accessories for which they are an authorized retailer. The order contained a set of mirrors and the required adapters. I requested the exact part numbers that I needed and the order confirmation contained the correct parts, however when I received the order they had substituted a different, incompatible set of adapters. When I pointed out the error the rep said that this was a new adapter that replaces the old style which they no longer carried. This was obviously incorrect because it was completely incompatible with my motorcycle or the mirrors I ordered; there was literally no way to physically fit them together. I dont know whether this rep was just blowing smoke or seriously misinformed, but I found it unprofessional and insulting to a) send me a different part than what I had ordered without first confirming w/ me and b) telling me that its the correct part when it clearly is not. After that, it took several emails to get a return authorization number and shipping label to complete the return. The whole process was a hassle and took longer than I would have liked. If they are serious about doing business online then they really need to streamline their process and make it much more transparent.

Called them up today to follow up on an order for two motorcycle mirrors, one of which hadnt yet come through. I was greeted with a friendly, polite voice. There had been a mistake in their online system/database/whatever that allowed me to buy two when they only had one. Ultimately they took responsibility for the issue and agreed to order another one and send it to me without extra charge. Thats GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE in my book!

If I could give a lower than one star I would. I spent 4 THOUSAND dollars on electric scooters not only did they arrive unable to use but customer service was terrible FROM THE OWNER/FOUNDER. I bought 3 electric scooters, ONE IS STILL IN A BOX UNTOUCHED BECAUSE THE FIRST TWO WERE BROKEN & I WAS TOLD THERES NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT AND WAS TREATED TERRIBLY. Everyone save there money or take it somewhere else because this company does not deserve it !

I have been looking at e-bikes for several weeks and at several different Bay Area bike shops. Joe was extremely patient with me as I tested, rented, and asked a string of questions about the pros and cons of each bike. They had a significantly larger selection of e-bikes than any other shop and I wish I had known about them at the beginning of my search! I haven’t yet pulled the trigger, but will be buying from Motostrano when I do.

Kind of a messy place.I work with a person who purchased a bike from here that was not at all happy with the way the bike was put together. He claimed it was dangerous.He told me I should look elsewhere. He also said the place is disorganized and messy and the people that assemble the bikes do not know what they are doing.I wanted to see for myself.He was right about it being disorganized and messy, it took me all of 5 minutes to turn around and walk out. I could not help but notice a guy working in the mechanics area running brake cables improperly.

Could not believe they actually called my home phone to tell me that they didnt have the part I needed on hand and asked if I wanted to change it to a similar part. That is courtesy my friends, no email but a phone call over a 35 dollar fender. Im sorry but I have been ordering bike parts online for a very long time and these people were the first to ever call me at home in person. RESPECT!!!!!!

I have accumulated over 5,300 miles commuting and trail riding on a Lampierre 27 1/2 hard tail mountain bike with a Bosch Drive sense February 2016. As I ride past stopped traffic on Central Expressway I do not understand why there are not more e-bikes and less cars...

Disappointed with my experience so far. Been waiting over a month and no updates. Finally, when I called they told my blue rims take time and it would be another 2-3 weeks. Well, we are on the third week...and nothing. I wish I had read the reviews and just purchased some place else. I hope others will be smart enough to do what I failed to.

I have been in the e-bike game for almost 10 years. It is my favorite form of commuting. I needed a bike upgrade as my original bike had fallen into unrepairable status. I visited many local shops and motostrano was by far the most knowledgeable. My budget was fairly low end and motostrano was very accommodating and helpful.My wife also loved the shop cat Gringo.I look forward to a long working relationship with Motostrano.

Edit:While my order is taking longer than Id anticipated, I received a call from motostrano today, and the issue isnt with them, its with the wheel supplier. I really appreciated the call, and I think it showed great customer service. I realize things happen and getting a call was all i needed to clear up my frustration

Not a very good place. Very disorganized, poor customer service and mechanics assemble bikes improperly. Cables were dangerously routed, brakes not bleed properly, loose bolts, etc... very simple type things wrong.I will buy my next Haibike any place but here.Not sure why my previous review was deleted.

Their products are nice but terrible customer service. I had ordered a kit and a few other parts. They had said it would take about 3-6 weeks to ship the parts. The rims being the main delay, which is fine. 3 months later and I had not received parts or heard from the company. It wasnt until I had called them did they tell me they were waiting to ship everything for a part that wasnt even available for THEM! (Why would you put that a product was available for sale if you did not even have the product yet? Not even a warning saying it was not available yet!) They ended up shipping what was available. I had called them multiple times about the missing parts and they didnt seem to know where they were either. Finally they called and told me they would be shipped next day. That was over a week ago and still no parts or emails. Called them again today. They did not know I had not recieved my parts yet. They had stated that the manufacturer, Warp 9, is the one at fault who does not have the product available and Motorstrano is the middle man. They did apologize for things not going as planned.I am still unsatisfied with their services! It is because of them I have not been able to ride my bike all season. I will NOT buy from this company again!

I emailed motostrano the day before I place my order to make sure they had the items I was looking for in stock. I got a reply from Joe saying everything was all good. So I promptly placed my and payed a Lot for 2 day shipping so it would be here in time for my trip. I got the confirmation email Fri morning that the package had shipped, but without the shifter for the Sram drivetrain I ordered. So instead of seeing that I was in a rush with 2 day shipping and contacting me so that I could have found another company to go with they just sent my order incomplete!! Then when I called them to figure out what was going on, the associate could have cares less, he was rude and dismissive. Now Ive just over payed for a drivetrain that I cant even use. I will never use this company again, there are much better E-bike companies out there.Horrible customer serviceRude

Wow! From the first time I went on their website through the prompt delivery of my Haibike XDURO Urban X ebike, the experience was incredible. They were incredibly helpful on the phone in selecting my bike and size. As to the Haibike XDURO Urban X- incredible! If you want a fast, light, comfortable, and good looking ebike for your commute to work, I cannot recommend a better option! And Motostrano has great prices as well.

I had a bad experience with this company. first I order a supermoto wheel set for $2150. I order a 5 rear wheel with a 160 rear tire, and orange hubs, brakes, and fender as I have an orange ktm. So the wheels arrive with no brakes which were part of the set. also no fender and no rim strips. No big deal they will send the rest of the parts. Then I realize my hubs are gold and not orange, and the rear rim and tire is 4.25 and a 150 tire. I cant stand the gold. to make matters worse I contact joe through email and get the run around, ultimately never receiving an offer to exchange them or any type of refund. So Im stuck with ugly gold hubs, and the wrong size rear wheel on my 15000 bike. Oh yes how could I forget that the spacers were wrong so i couldnt bolt the wheels on, the caliper relocate bracket was wrong so my rotor rubbed on the brake pin ruining my rotor and pin. The only thing they ever did to help me was sent the correct spacers. nothing about the wrong color, size, ruined rotor, no new relocate bracket which I had to buy from ktm, and I had to buy a new rotor for $300. So in the end I spent $2150 for the wrong size and color rims tires and hubs with no brakes or anything else. Oh and the fender they sent didnt fit either had to buy a ktm smr fender instead. Horrible service so disappointed. Wish I could give 0 stars

GREAT store and GREAT service with very unique items you just cant find at normal stores. They really are the supermoto guys. These guys are doing something different in the market and it shows, not just from their products but from their service. I came to them to get a supermoto set up for my KTM and they happened to have the whole set-up in stock that day. For about $1400 bucks I got my bike converted over and made my track day the next day. Ill be back in here in Spring time for a new Mountain Bike because they are a Felt dealer and Ive had my eyes on a Felt 29er for a few months now. Love it!

I ordered the Beringer 4 piston caliper and disc set for my KTM 525SX Supermoto and was amazed by the service. I had a special colour request that was fulfilled, the items were very, very well packaged, I was kept informed of where my order was and overall, my experience of shopping at Motostrano was excellent. Actually, when you consider the fact that I live thousands of miles away from them, in the UK, the whole matter was absolutely awesome. Great, great site to deal with. Would definitely recommend.

I would recommend anyone who likes to ride a bike but gets to exhausted with hills and distance, to purchase a electric bike. Much more fun and enjoyable plus helped me to get in better shape to ride my regular road bike. I use it all the time I just rode from San Francisco to Millbrae and it was a breeze.I checked around and purchase my bike at Motostrano and I am very glad with that decision. Service excellent and price fair. I also purcahse a regular bike 3 months after my electric bike purchase for my wife. Motostrano have a nice selection of bikes you would not find at REI or regular bike shops. Good health, be safe and happy triails.
