I just want to say that Pets in need is a great place to go if your in need of any advice for your pets or need help with paying for your animals needs...I worked with Vanessa and she was the best...if it wasnt for Pets in need and Vanessa, my poor dog would be a mess. My dog had the worst breath and I figured it was due to a bad tooth, but once I was able to take her to the Vet, she needed 19 teeth pulled out...her poor mouth was infected... And it wouldnt of been possible without the help from Pets in need...thank you so much to Vanessa and Pets in need for helping me with the expenses to treat my dog Rosie...Rosie also thanks you...ππ
Andrew was excellent! He was patient, kind, and informative. He let us take our time with the kittens to build confidence in our selection. We went in thinking we wanted one thing and left with a very loving and spunky kitten weβve fallen in love with. We canβt thank him enough and so appreciate the work he and others there do to help these animals and humans find connection!
Very friendly and welcoming staff. I was able to donate some kitty goods and they assured me that the donated goods get passed along to those who truly need them. I will definitely be back!
This placed used to be the best place ever!! I used to volunteer there as a kid and even adopted my dog from there! It was such a special place. But they remodeled and its much bigger and different. But I also noticed a bit of a change in atmosphere. Whoever runs the place isnt very warm.. I didnt feel welcome by the other people who worked there pretty much every time Ive gone in. They are either snarky, force you to sign in like they are the police or something and they wont even let you pet or play with he poor animals locked in glass cages. Hope that they can find more kind helpers and better policies who have good Human customer service as well. They also make it impossible to play with the animals since I have tried multiple times to get on their volunteer list but its always too full. Feels like you need to be in some kind of elitest club in order to just offer some help to the animals. Basically make it hard for good warm hearted helper and volunteers to even get a shot. Doesnt seem right or fair.. maybe you can have some other events with the pups so they can get walks and outings more often and have more volunteer opportunities for those who are interested.
Great adoption experience, very helpful and friendly staff.
Just adopted from here. People are helpful, give plenty of direction to resources, and available to ask any questions.
Great program. Ive rescued dogs from here. Highly recommend
Went today and adopted a puppy named snickerdoodle, the staff is awesome and would highly recommend adopting.
They are so awesome. They love your furry family almost as much as you do. Best place Ive ever been.
The app, interview, and zoom went very quickly. First time jitters for an unmet rescue. Kitten has 2 speeds. .. . 200mph and was on our laps in first 2 hours. Kept small distance for 12 hours but followed us everywhere as introduced to new rooms. She was family by noon that second day . Had no hesitation making my 10 year old nephew her best playmate at the 200mph. Joined all for dinner insisting on perching at table height away and started talking up a storm. She is with me now and on my 88 year old moms lap when not thank you PIN.
They are amazing! The place is clean and neat. You can really tell they love what theyβre doing and they care for all their animals. I adopted a kitty two months ago. It was a great experience. They asked me some questions to make sure the kitty would be going to an appropriate environment and gave me some time to play with and establish the bound. The kitty came with a the shots, already neutered, microchipped, and they also gave me a huge bag of food! Strongly recommended.
I just got a chihuahua terrier today named kitty and she is the absolute best dog ever! We have been playing all day and she is so attached to me! The service there was amazing and I got so many good tips and suggestions. I would 100% go back to get another animal and highly recommend adopting from them or donating!
AMAZING PLACE AND STAFF! We adopted the best little dog Whiskey! He is the love of our lives! It was an incredibly pleasant experience and it was nice knowing that all of the other pets available for adoption would stay until they were adopted as Pets In Need is a NO KILL shelter! I would recommend this establishment to anyone! Brittany P. was the greatest and she made the experience enjoyable!
Ive been a foster for over 15 years and there is not another foundation closer to my heart then this one .Its the best in the bay area and its a no kill as well. If you want a beautiful animal the staff do a great job taking care of these fur babies .Great foundation .
I love Pets in Need because they love (unconditionally) and believe in saving animals. I have been fortunate enough to work with them as an adoptee. They are compassionate, affectionate, professional and knowledgeable. And they had my forever baby...thanks so much Pets in Need and a special thanks to those who financially support this amazing organization. β€
This a a very caring no kill shelter where the adoption specialist really goes above and beyond to help match pet caretakers and relaxed and ready for adoption pets. Shout out to Omar Prieto Jimenez for his patience and assistance while helping me assist a special needs person adopt a cat. We were given the runaround and told a bunch of stories this week from a store adoption center and pets in need was outstanding. Thank you for really understanding about matching the pet with the person. β₯οΈ
Very professional, responsible and friendly staff. Well maintained no-kill shelter, clean and fantastically run by true animal lovers. The dogs and cats have been very lovingly taken care of. Truly a model shelter.
A great adoption experience! We adopted two dogs, 3 years apart. When we met our second dog Jojo the staff was so friendly, and wanted to make sure that we had a perfect match for Sherman. Theyre best buds, and couldnt be happier. Pets In Need is an amazing shelter with an awesome staff and meaningful mission. I highly recommend them!
You can go play with the pets in their rooms and take them home for a week to try them out in your environment before committing to adopting! Be sure to check what paperwork you need before you come in if youre serious about adopting right away! Some of the cute ones arent there for long! Lets get all those little guys a home.
This is a great shelter, with various programs for volunteers to participate in, and many events taking places for fundraising. The staff is very friendly, very helpful. The facility is very clean, the dogs are mostly small to medium, and all the ones I saw were very sweet. The staff will work on animal needing extra care through in-house specialists and foster volunteers.I fostered a dog found in the streets, and her transformation before being put up for adoption was amazing. She went from having dozens (hundreds?) of dead ticks in her fur to a soft and silky smooth coat. This shelter takes great care of the dogs they are taking on, and will advertise them on social media to make sure they all end up in a loving household.
I ADOPTED MY BEAUTIFUL POM MIX HERE! they microchipped her, gave her shots, and all of her vaccines too. I love my little Buttercup and take extra good care of her!
Great shelter!! Good amount of space for the animals and very friendly and helpful staff.
Wonderful place to adopt a pet. Clean facility with well cared for animals, and very friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Very clean, very pleasant no-kill shelter. Lots of pleasant spaces for the animals. Im going to volunteer there, so Ill update this after I get some experience with their training programs and volunteering. So far, it seems great!
Clean environment, happy animals. Like most places like this, the volunteers are not focused on selling animals to visitors, but rather petting them for their own pleasure while potential adopters walk around empty handed.
We got our MAXWELL here. Thank you so much for all that you do.
These people are fighting the good fight. Support them if you can!
They are great and especially in theory. What they do to save animals is amazing and I found my dog from them. I do think they need to do more thorough medical examinations of the animals. They need to do the bear minimum in checking their animals. Some of the staff was a little bit rude, and there were a few administrative errors that took place. I do like them though. You just need to find them on the right day.
Came here years ago in search of a dog. I was told that without a yard, I could not adopt a dog. Mainly because of that experience, I ended up getting the a dog from a breeder instead. He may not have a yard but somehow against all odds he still gets 4-5+ miles of exercise a day!
Most amazing shelter I have ever been to. The staff is amazing and they are funded by donations. Great great place for low-cost spay/neuter.
I am a volunteer there and have fostered 9 kittens, and 8 kittens in a previous shelter. Pets In Need is the most dedicated, compassionate, experienced and kind shelter I have ever seen. Their pets are cared for and attended to with care and love. You can adopt there with confidence the pets are healthy and happy, and the staff will always be there to support you if you need help.
Bright, clean building. Adorable pets ready to go to loving homes!
No kill shelter with beautiful facilities and caring staff. Animals are really well treated here- I adopted my dog from PIN and can vouch for how well socialized she is.
Adopted a wonderful dog from Pets in Need. We will return there to adopt any pets in the future. Our dog had been on an euthanasia list at a shelter before being brought here. Its amazing how many pets lives are saved here through the work of their volunteers.
The staff and volunteers were so friendly and helpful! You can tell that they care about each animal. They were honest in letting us know everything (pros and cons) of each pet we were interested in. We ended up taking home a beautiful cat and they provided us with a weeks worth of food for her. I would 100% recommend adopting an animal from this shelter!
Got my baby here. They really care about their animals here and only want the best for them. They emailed me 5 days later just to ask how shes doing and for pictures!
It is a very clean facility where you can tell they take great care of the animals
Fantastic organization if your looking for a pet definitely stop in
Pets in need its a wonderful place. They Really take care of their pets.
Well managed place with nice stuff
The staff is friendly and helpful, the facility clean and modern. They make the adoption process super easy, even if you dont end up bringing a fur buddy home...
The volunteers here definitely care about the animals. My wife and I recently adopted from them and couldnt be happier. They made sure that we were a good fit for the animal and the animal a good fit for us.
No-kill shelter. The place was clean and full of cute kitties getting petted and play time. The cat rooms have great cat furniture. The staff was friendly too.
Got two of my kittens neutered and spayed here. Amazing service, the staff is really helpful and caring and your pets would be in great hands. Also, the medical staff is really knowledgable and can guide you if you have any questions about your pets.
Wonderful pet shelter (hotel?) that does not put pets down! Caring staff! Wonderful kittens!
My family adopted a 1 year old cat from PIN last month. Found the place to be very clean, humane and innovative. Spoke to Theo who took care of all our questions and concerns. Id recommend Pets-in-Need.
BEST DOG EVER!! Unimaginable anyone could have ever euthanatized this 1 y.o. sweet, super cuddly, non-shedding little guy! Pets in Need is the best!!
Excellent place, I just adopted a dog there im so happy!
Gina introduced us to Zoe and we loved her. This place is awesome very clean facility friendly staff would recommend to any looking to adopt a new family member tto adapt
Top-dog animal rescue! The animals are cared for really well, and the staff are very conscientious in evaluating them and matching them to adopters needs & situations.
Terrible staff lady refused to allow us to adopt a dog!! If you dont work and spend nearly 24/7 with your dog you are a bad dog owner. Very nice dogs here for adoption otherwise. Personally we went to the shelter where the attitude was 100 percent different and encouraged us to adopt and didnt grill us on our work hours and put us down. Staff is incompetent and made us fill out paperwork each time we went in even though everything was on file for 6 months.
Really well run no-kill animal shelter. They clearly care a lot about their animals and the process to adopt was very smooth and thorough.
I love Pets In Need, all the furry babies and all the humans who share the love of animals.πΎπΎπΎπΎβ€
Loved it.... I adopted a π in no time... Love Mozart our new house member
This place is amazing! I love to visit the dogs in my lunch hour to calm my nerves.
Great organization. Animal loving volunteers and the sweetest animals ever :)
Friendly staff and well kept facilities. The staff is very knowledgeable about their animals and their needs!
This place was great! Came on a Sunday afternoon because a family member saw a dog he liked online (dallas) and wanted to see how his personality was.We went in, and were asked to sign in. We then had to fill out a prelim adoption form while they got Dallas into a room for us.There were at least 8 rooms that I could see which were good sized for playing with dogs and clean. There were assistants constantly coming by, and occasionally in to check on how we and the dogs were doing. The staff was super helpful, and brought us some bits of chicken for Dallas since he was so scared and not reacting to treats. They think Dallas might have been abused (he was very timid and shy)Family member wanted a corgi, and Dallas just looked similar. Will probably come back if we do see a corgi here, and will add pics if needed
Very clean facility. The people are so helpful and wonderful with the animals!
Staff is very helpful and the animals get adopted out frequently, so theres always a new selection :)
