Once I had an essay for UPitt that was 750 words and she found a way to shrink that down to 300 words to reuse that same essay for a different school with a different word count. There is no way I would have been able to do that on my own!Personally, my goal with college applications was to have them all be done by the early action deadlines. With Mary Pat, I had all of my essays, my common app, and all of my recommendations done on October 15th, which is 2 weeks before any early action deadline was due.Not only was Mary Pat able to make this process smoother for me, she also made me a very strong applicant for the colleges I was applying to. I got into my reach school, which was the School of Nursing at University of Michigan, as well as my dream school, School of nursing at University of Minnesota. As a sophomore in high school, the concept of gaining experience, building a resume, and applying to colleges was vague and, quite frankly, daunting. True Fit Counseling was exactly as named, the perfect fit for our teen. The whole experience was, from start to finish, seamless. Our first meeting was with myself and daughter where we were briefed on the overall program. After the first meeting, my teen could not wait until her next visit. Mary Pat met several times with her in the office and always made her feel relaxed and confident during her visits. She had many reference books and websites that she shared with our daughter. Mary Pat was proactive with all emails (copying parents too), sending them with plenty of lead time for the next task at hand. Her emails were informative and extremely detailed. When I started thinking about college, I really had no idea where I wanted to go or what I wanted to study.
