Its a great feeling to able to trust the care and service of my little Porsche Boxster to Chriss German Auto Service. Im confident they always provide the best guidance whether from Ken or Chris himself to make the appropriate recommendations and expert repair and care.
Unethical business and VERY rude. I took my car to them in good faith for a consignment deal and they undercut my buyer by thousands. We didnt ask for an appraisal. We already had the deal. Kelly is very rude and disrespectful. His words exactly Im not doing this to make friends, f you and come get your f-in car. And then he hung up on me. Ive been a customer of Chris German for a decade when Chris was around. However ever since Kelly has taken over...its gotten bad. You dont disrespect your customers, hang up on them and use profound language. Very dishonest people here. They also said they did a compression check and never did. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service training with Kelly and as a Porsche Enthusiast and well respected member in the auto industry. I will never trust this shop and I will be letting all my friends know to stay clear of Chris automotive. This company will happily make you emotional distressed. They dont care about their customers.
Great people (love them actually) but I was quoted $450.00 for an oil change on my 2007 Porsche Cayman. I came to find the Cayman changes out like any conventional vehicle (Valvoline did it for $38 + the cost of my Porsche oil). It seems wrong to not honestly communicate with potential customers - especially those who want a single place to service their Porsche.
They came highly recommended from a friend. But a service appointment is a month out. I guess thats a good sign.
I have been a customer of Chriss since the late 90s. Chris and his team are always great to work with and they always do quality work. I am always glad to be able to show that one of my cars has been serviced by Chris when it come time to sell. Great place to have your Porsche serviced!
Dont take your car anywhere else on the Eastside! Had an awful, terrible, crooked experience at Cantrell motorsports and brought my car here for a second opinion. They are honest, ethical, and dont take advantage of their customers. They didnt treat me any differently because Im a woman. They earned a customer for life - 10 years and 3 911s later, still the ONLY shop I trust with my Porsche.
Had an engine rebuilt and the upmost care was given when the work was preformed. Very knowledgeable and professional. Would highly recommend the shop.
Excellent service. My car needed some additional work done, and they called before starting and clearly explained what was needed and why on the call, and when I picked up my car.
Chriss German is an excellent source for Porsche Service and Ken is an honest well seasoned service advisor who does an excellent Job.
Service for both our Macan and 911. Great facility. Knowledgeable personnel. Quality work. Lower price than dealership. Great communication. Trustworthy. Endorsed by through advertising in the local Porsche Club mag. Everything we are looking for. Thank you!
Best Porsche specific shop in the area. They are very thorough and take great care.
Chriss German is the go to shop for Porsches of any age. I have been taking my 83 911 here for many years and always have a great experience.
Have been taking my 89 911 to Chris’s repair for service since I purchased the car. He is professional and the work is solid, on time and done correct the first time . I highly recommend this shop to any Porsche owner but particularly on air cooled 911s
All good work over several years on my 1963 356B. They keep it like new!
Had issue with auto start/stop and AC only working on one side of the car. Chriss team was able to diagnose the problem quickly and repair it in a timely manner after getting parts. Strait shooter, you get and pay for quality work with this shop.
They did a Pre-purchase Inspection (PPI) for me and saved me from making a very expensive mistake.I called the other Indy Porsche shops in the area but these guys were just way more responsive. They immediately answered the phone and Ken was super helpful. And then of course, they did an amazing job of finding all the problems on a car that seemed to be otherwise fine.Definetly recommend them.
Super friendly, responsible with their customers money. Obviously they have a genuine interest in these cars, their owners, and just being helpful. They checked a couple of things out quickly for me and gave solid advice. No pressure to put the car in for extended diagnosis either. I will absolutely go back if/when I need extensive work. I feel like I can trust them with my car and money. Not something that can be said for a lot of shops!
I trust Chris’s German with my Porsche repairs. The shop is made up of real Porsche experts who are capable of any task from top to bottom.
Long time customer of Chriss shop. They provide honest, transparent work at the absolutely highest quality out there. Their nationally recognized p-car expertise belies their friendly and approachable personality. They completely get the porschephile mentality, as they are ones themselves!
Great knowledge. Great to work with.
Chris and team have a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience especially about 911’s. This is evident each time I’ve used them and highly recommend.
Chris did a great job on my 1987 911. He is very knowledgable and did a great job of explaining things and presenting me options. I will definitely return for future maintenance.
Chriss German Auto services two of my three Porsches currently and Ive had great experiences with them. Chris and John are very personable and highly knowledgeable in the field of Porsche. I definitely recommend them!
Ive been going to Chriss for more than 30 years. If theres a better shop anywhere for repairs of Porsches of all ages, Ive never heard about it. Chris is extremely knowledgeable and he has a top-notch team. You wont go wrong in working with them!
This was the first time meeting with Chris and the team. I called Chris in the morning. We diagnosed a failed water pump. By 5pm the car was ready. Chris is very personable and someone I trust to take my business to again and again.
Ive been using Chriss since 2005. Servicing my 993 4s and 997 Turbo S they have been great! You never need to question their work and prices are reasonable.
Had the 4 year/40K service. John was very nice and walked us through all the work that needed to be done. He explained to our satisfaction why specific parts needed to be replaced when it didnt seem necessary (e.g. spark plugs with only 7K on them). He has great information to offer, and provided helpful and honest answers to questions. We felt like we were in good hands. We will definitely use them in the future.
Chris and his team have a million years of experience working on Porsche cars and can promptly diagnose and fix anything--from the simple to the amazing. I trust them implicitly with my car, and recommend them to all of my friends.
Just got off the phone with John and, just from the phone call, I can give this place 5 stars. He was awesome! Hes super kind and very knowledgeable. He took the time to answer my questions--and they were many. They focus on Porsche, and they have been doing it for 30 years. John said he has worked there for 15 years--quality places to work are quality places to do business. I called around a few shops and nobody could perform the service I was looking for but John brought it up before I even said it--he knew! Everybody recommends these guys and I will definitely bring my car in there soon. Thanks again for your time, John!
Communicative, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. This shop makes it a breeze to maintain your Porsche. Ive had my 2017 911 Carrera 4S serviced here several times.
Great communication and customer service. John was a wealth of knowledge and very personable. They performed a PPI for my Porsche and it was very detailed. Will definitely schedule with them again.
The first place I tried got the diagnosis wrong and quoted me more than Chris. He got it right, was significantly less expensive and fast.
The great service, communication and quality of work provides a high level of trust that is unmatched by other shops . It is the attention to the details, cleanliness and exceeding expectations that provides a stress free repair and maintenance every time. It is all about the trust; thanks.
The knowledge of working on Porsche vehicles possessed by the staff here is only matched by their kindness and helpfulness. You should buy a Porsche just so you have an excuse to come talk to these folks about the cars. Cant say enough nice things about my experiences here.
Professional and personal service with the highest knowledge of Porsches! I highly recommend Chris!
I have called several time to get an estimate, and unfortunately I never got a call back. Unfortunately, John, the service advisor, is not working there now due to COVID-19 situation, and the service has gone down.
Chriss is a trusted Cayman partner helping me to achive full enjoyment of my car. Professional, skilled service with only the things that need to be fixed... nothing more or less. I recommend them 100%
I have been taking my C4S to Chris for the past 15+ years (?maybe closer to 20?) They are amazing. They are super at explaining the repairs that need to be done, and why. I have always been very appreciative of their knowledge, expertise and honesty. It is wonderful to not feel like you are being taken to the cleaners as I have unfortunately felt in dealing with repair departments at dealerships in the past. John is so personable, knowledgable, and very gracious at the front desk. The mechanics are also patient and take the time to explain what is being done to your automobile. I love the new facility as well. All around a great experience!
Such a professional crew with awesome customer service! Fair prices. Will go there every time my car needs inspection.
I GOT GREAT SERVICE. Including an 80K major service, and a little suspension work. Good quality on all aspects of the job.I am a happy camper!
Great service and staff, explained repairs and costs.Porsche ready on time, This is a great place to bring your Porsche!
If you own a Porsche, this is the place to have it serviced. John will do his best to make sure you are completely satisfied. Look no further, Porsche owners.
Unexpectedly, I have become a member to the Porsche family and have had some very encouraging experiences with Chriss German Auto. They have been very helpful, patient and courteous throughout my dealings. Sometimes routine maintenance, sometimes adding upgrades as well as a couple of mechanical issues. Never felt as though they were trying to make work or charge more than what was fair. They have also hosted in the Tech Talks series put on by the Pacific Northwest Porsche Club, which I appreciate. Definitely, give my highest recommendation.
Chriss German is now the only place Ill take my Porsche for service. I discovered these guys about 5 years ago, and nobody else is allowed to touch the car now. John (front desk) is fantastic. Service is great - these guys know their stuff and take great care of their customers. Communication is excellent - I always know exactly what is going on with my car when it is in with them. And they know Porsches so well that they can find creative (and often less expensive) solutions to problems that would really challenge most other service shops. I highly, highly recommend them for any Porsche needs you have.
As is typical with Chriss, they both diagnosed the issues quickly & maintained ongoing updates with progress.
This is the place to take your Porsche. Chris, John, and the crew not only know there stuff, but they are reasonably price and often give you advice about available, lower cost options. They have repeatedly proven that they have your best interest at heart. Excellent shop.
Never posted an online review before but I felt this deserved one. Most incredibly thorough experience I have ever had with a shop. John really made this great and I am a customer for life.
Very helpful and friendly. Answered tons of questions and gave solid advice.
Trusted Porsche experts.
Chriss German Auto Service has been maintaining my 09 911S since purchased 2 years ago. Their patience, professionalism and caring approach is like nothing Ive experienced before. There is no other place you need to take your Porsche for the best technicians, facilities and management.
After relocating my 2002 Boxster from California to Washington I did a little on-line research along with reaching out to friends to find someplace for servicing. I did have a need to replace the cooling water reservoir before I was able to find a place so had Barrier Porsche (now owned by Auto Nation) make the repair. The service there was excellent but I like dealing with smaller, more personable shops. When things settled down for me I made a decision to give Chriss German Auto a visit. I met both John and Chris and immediately liked what I heard from them. They had all the right answers to my questions so I scheduled a general fluid change and overall inspection. Though this was a minor servicing I was very pleased with their work and will continue to use them for future work. Even though I only made one visit I rated them 5 star. I expect that my next visit will confirm that rating.
There is not a time I have gone there and left without smiling. Thanks for great service and friendliness. Highly recommended!
Full service and did a great job of drip proofing my 2000 Boxster S. Still love it.
Looking at all the 5 star reviews, I thought I should go with 4 just to be different. However, to be honest, Chris is wonderful. The staff are super smart and knowledgeable, and I take both my 3.2 Carrera and 3.6 993 Twin Turbo to Chris. Never had a problem, and the work is always first rate.
Absolutely the ONLY place to take your precious classic vehicle. Chris and the men who work there love what they do, are real artists, and give the utmost attention to details. They brought my Dads 1963 Porsche up to almost showroom condition. I still have work to do to fine tune everything, but will not hesitate to go back to Chris to have the work completed. Dick Beaudry
Competent fails to describe fully the knowledge and skills this shop brings to Porsche service and restoration. I recommend them highly!
Fantastic customer service. Top notch! Oil change was smooth and on time while I waited. Will definitely be getting service here in the future!
On time, on budget, professional, friendly and convenient. It was my first experience and I will definitely be back when additional work is required.
The guys at Chriss are always happy to offer a bit of advice and when they do work they are thorough and professional. This is a place where they immediately understand the problem your vehicle is facing and know how to resolve it without experimenting. If you are looking to enhance the performance of your Porsche, Chris and his team are race bred with a winning history. This is the definitive Porsche shop for the region, none better.
Best for us guys with an older Porsche is advise on the Cost / Benefit of certain work or upgrades. Chris and his staff are not selling anything more that great service. And are always willing to discuss options to manage the cost of caring for our older Porsches.
Following a disappointing experience ($$) at the Bellevue Porsche dealer I had a problem arise with my car. I found Chriss after some searching and the reviews were so positive that I set an appointment. John and Chris both were very giving of their time and advice and I never felt hurried or pressured. So far theyve found and fixed an intermittent issue as well as done some very nice upgrades to the vehicle. It has been a great experience and fairly priced.I expect that my car wont be going anywhere else for service in the future.
Just left this place and John was initially very nice but that changed shortly after.Took my Porsche in with a potential buyer for a pre-purchase inspection. This ran over $250 for plugging in a code reader and looking over the car on a lift, okay dealer pricey but this was accepted ahead of time..Problem is, they misdiagnosed 3 things.1. They said the passenger window did not roll down properly and needed a $500 sensor. I tested it with my friend right there and it worked just fine as it always has..??2. They said it needed an oil change but I explained that was just changed 2k miles ago with AMS synthetic.. So if an owner changes their oil and cannot reset the internal code then it doesnt count??3. They said the waterpump was due for replacement because its over 10-20k miles old but its working as designed and not leaking...??4. Lastly, when my buyer asked John for pricing for the most important items he got angry and told him to email with questions and hell email back later on.The buyer then asked for pricing now as he wanted to purchase it today and John says Not on my time! and repeats this twice! We both felt pushed out of his office.Bad day? IDK but really seemed like he thought there was no more money to get and wanted us gone. Thanks a lot John, why so angry?
Not only do they have the expertise - they enjoy sharing their knowledge. I recently had a pre-purchase inspection done on a Porsche 996 series turbo and they confirmed that the car was sound, but also discovered a number of features listed for the car werent installed and more important, they identified and explained the details behind the need for several thousand dollars of remedial/add on work needed to bring the car to the proper condition I would have expected. I totally recommend them and will use them for any non-warranty work on my current Porsche.
Best Porsche shop in the Seattle area. Mechanics are knowledgeable and helpful with everything. No matter how small the job.
The staff there is amazing, really helpful and knowledgeable. John, Chris, Eric, Eric and Kelly helped me through my first Porsche 911 buying and maintenance experience. I wasnt lucky with the car but the guys there made the experience less painful and I learned a lot.
Great, knowledgeable staff that are passionate about the work they do, the cars they work on and the customers they serve!!!
They arranged storage when it was determined the work my 2001 911was not in my immediate budget. When I was ready to have it done itwas completed on time and on budget. Cant say enough about them
Its very simple. The older your Porsche the more you need this shops attention. I had them go through my 2001 Boxster S and make it right - and they did. I had one be-back moment due to a bubble in the cooling system blowing back and out onto the RR tire, but that resolved (at no extra charge), it never leaked so much as a drop of any kind of fluid for the entire 5 years I had it. I am between Porsches right now, but Ill be back, and when I am, Chriss will do my service.
Good to see my good friend John again, he hasnt changed one bit. Friendly and happy as always!
I have been taking my 1980 SC to Chris for some time now. They have made it fun to drive again. I don’t think I would go anywhere else.
As always, prompt timely and totally professional. Wouldnt take my car anywhere else
I have nothing but praise for Chriss. The first time I had my 356 in they diagnosed and fixed a problem that three other shops couldnt handle. They always deliver what they promise and treat me very well. What more could one ask?
If you have a Porsche and you want the very best service, performed in the highest profession manor, I would recommend Chriss. Theyve provided excellent service to my 911.
Chris and his team are awesome, helpful, and though out of the way for me, well worth the drive to work with. Thanks.
Chriss German Auto is the expert when it comes to maintaining and repairing Porsches. I have taken my 2002 C4S to Chriss over the last several years for a couple of different reasons, including replacement of the IMS bearing. In every situation I have found them to stand behind their work and did it at a reasonable cost. In fact, I have stopped in for minor inquiries a couple of times and they fixed the issue immediately at no cost. I highly recommend any Porsche owner to use Chriss German Auto.
The Team at Chriss German is awesome, Personal service, good conversation and excellent work. They always do what they say and then some super clean shop 110% the Best, Mark Glass
Top notch. Great shop. My experience with them was with air-cooled cars, and Chris and his crew were always on top of it.
Came in for minor service and a problem with a radio. Service as usual. Quick, clean and friendly.
Reliable quality service. Chris and his team know their Porsches!
This place is top notch; 100% honest, and does the job right the first time. DONT waste your money at the dealer - come and have 1st class service and see why everyone in town with a Porsche knows these guys.
Awesome service, people that share my passions for Porsche.Could not be happier!
Chris and team KNOW Porsches - new & old. Having a long-standing, trusted, and friendly professional to care for my GT3 for the track & street has made ownership all the better.Chris makes sure to have a professional staff, starting at the front with John, and then through the guys that diagnose, repair, and even improve the car.
Without a doubt the best team of technicians and service specialists for your Porsche. Leading the way in M96 Water cooled car service and repair with a major in air-cooled tuning, service and restoration.I have had my car worked on and referred many people. I always come away feeling like I was treated fairly, my car received the best service and I know I will be back when and if needed. I also found they treat you like family, remembering your name, car and what was done last time...making suggestions and offering to go above and beyond the call of duty. I have even stopped in and had minor things fixed right on the spot with a dont worry about it repair bill... what more could an enthusiast want - My 86 3.2 with 190k miles is under their care as was my previous 99 996 C2 with over 125k miles. Water cooled experts and LNE trained in the newest repairs for keeping them going.Lastly, if you need something else, they offer referrals to other great places and I have found their referrals to be excellent !! Great place for a PPIs too !
Chris is a great shop and John is a good guide for determining what needs to be done to correct problems, perform routine maintenance, etc. John and Chris also saved me from a costly used Porsche mistake through a very thorough pre-purchase inspection (PPI). Highly recommended!
Chris, JR and the rest of the crew are great. Always excellent service and I have total trust in what they tell me.
The best Porsche shop in the Northwest. Professional, efficient and honest.
The team at Chriss German Auto Service is excellent. They have helped me get out of a bunch of issues with my old cayenne.
This is the place you take your Porsche to when you actually care about your Porsche!
Always competent work and with a great service experience!
Dont go anywhere else. Chris German Auto is very knowledgeable and experience.

Incredibly skilled Porsche fanatic mechanics. These guys are the best of the best.
Best around. Take my classic Porsche and my modern one here.
Had IMS/Clutch/RMS/extended sump/X51 baffle/AOS and part of the cooling system replaced (from plastic to aluminum). Perfect work, as always.
Professional and prompt service as always Alan
John and Chris are always great to work with. Great service!
Very good service
