Oscar and Byron really took care of me in a difficult situation. Lost power in a remote campsite. They were patient in relaying info via my text to my wife who connected with them. They came prepared to tow my jeep out but we managed to get it started. Once at their shop they quickly analysed a minor problem with battery contacts and fixed it promptly. Oscars was very honest about the minor issue. Im not from Redmond but they would easily be my go to place for auto repair work. Above and beyond service, honest, friendly and thorough.

If I could give Oscars Auto Repair six stars, I would! I was preparing for a trip to Puget Sound and just a few days prior I noticed a violent shaking in my steering wheel and brake pedal while traveling down a steep hill along the Santiam Highway. With little time to spare I rushed my vehicle to Oscars after reading their business reviews online on a Friday afternoon. I told them I was in a bind because I was supposed to leave on Monday morning to pick up my relatives in Portland on the way. Byron immediately put me at ease by telling me theyll do whatever it takes to get the job done in time. They ordered the parts (quality parts by the way being BOSCH) and had it ready by Saturday morning. Byrons father Oscar had given me a ride home (offered a loaner car which I declined as I live nearby the shop) and picked me up the next day in my car so I could test the brakes myself while he was in the car with me. He told me he wanted to make sure I was satisfied with the workmanship before paying for the services. As a person who has dealt with auto repair shops in the past who either told me I need repairs when I didnt and/or didnt care about what I thought about the repairs done, Oscar and Byron were an absolute pleasure to work with. They had even told me my rear rotors and pads did not need replacing at the time. If you are looking for an honest auto repair shop that does quality work and uses quality parts, I highly recommend Oscars Auto Repair. Oscar’s Auto is the best! We take all our vehicles to them. Every time our car or truck needs servicing, we consistently enjoy fast scheduling (usually the next day!), super-fast turnaround times, honest assessments of what work is needed, reasonable rates, excellent communication and friendly, professional people.Recently, I took my car in before a long road trip. They checked out the entire car, recommended what work they think it will need in the near future, balanced the tires, checked all the fluids, and didn’t charge me a dime!Another time, our truck broke town and we had it towed to Oscar’s. My 1994 contour died at Smith Rock, just pouring out coolant. I live 2 hours away, and was trying to find a place to have it towed. Oscars had great reviews online, and more importantly, answered their phone when I was trying to figure out what to do. Oscar and Byron were super helpful and informative, and able to make things work on my older vehicle within a couple days. I have had a couple other problems with this vehicle recently that took days to fix, so the timeline of getting this car back on the road made me so happy! It has been at least 2 weeks, and the car has been running great!! They are a busy shop (where isnt?), but it seems like things get done there!! Thanks guys🤗

Oscars saved us from sitting alongside the road for 6 hrs near Suttle Lake. They took our rig to their shop & diagnosed the problem the next morning. After ordering the part they fixed it. Very nice guys who let us know what was needed & promptly resolved the issue.Theowner (Oscar & Byron, who answered all my calls & questions)were very courteous & I wouldnt hesitate to have them do any repairs on my or friends vehicles.

I went to Oscars Auto for the first time a few weeks ago for a brake pad replacement. After going to a different mechanic for the past couple of years, I decided to try Oscars since it appeared their hours worked better with my work schedule. I called on a Thursday and they were so friendly and accommodating, they were able to get my car in the very next day! I was expecting my car to have to be in the shop overnight, but they were able to complete the replacement in less than a couple hours! We were visiting the area and the rear wheels started making creaking noises. Oscar quickly diagnosed that I would need a brake pad replacement. Byron had the job done within 2 hours and they were also happy to give me a loaner vehicle in the meantime.

I was visiting a friend in Redmond when I developed a noise in my brakes. Ive been in the automotive business most if my career and didnt want to drive back to Washington without knowing the cause. They got me in the same day and found a rock had gotten wedged into my caliper. They didnt even charge me. Thats some customer service. Without any hesitation I would recommend this business.

I just paid $150 for them to duct tape my window up and break my automatic lock button.

I was 6 hrs from home on a Sunday afternoon, had to be at work the next day, and my Jeeps ignition cylinder would not budge. Ocsar was the only mechanic in the region who would give me the time of day late in this fall weekend. AAA gave me a tow to Oscars and he quickly assessed the situation, rigged up an ignition bypass that would get me home, showed me how to operate it, apologized for asking for $25 (I gave him $50), and sent me on my way. I made it home by 11pm and was at work the next morning. If not for Oscar, Id surely not have been home until the following night and maybe later. Most shops would not have been willing to rig the bypass even though it was clearly what was called for in my situation. Thanks Oscar!

They did some work on my truck when I had a fustrating vibration coming from under the truck. They called me back in about an hour and told me what it was and what the expected repair cost was. After it was finished they did the work and its fixed and Im happy to drive again. I definitely will be bringing in my vehicles here in the future.

We are from out of town and notice a leak under our 2005 GMC pickup.We were told by a couple of people about Oscars Auto Repair. We went to the shop about 9am and found out it was the water pump. Oscar and his son Byron was so nice. They took it right in and by 6:30pm it was done and we were on our way.It way a all day job. Thank you guys for being honest and fair. I had an incredible experience with these guys. Came in with a 1998 Subaru Forester with a bunch of random issues, and they pieced it back together in a day. They were tuned to detail and quality, and worked with me on a weird exhaust pipe fix that could have been far more expensive. Honest and great prices, even for a broke college kid. Stoked to have finally found a mechanic I know I can trust.

My husband and I are from Washington and when our car broke down in Oregon and we found out we needed a new motor, Oscars was amazing! They let us keep the car there until we figured out what we were going to do with the car. They even went the extra mile and did some research for us, finding out that our motor had been recalled. They towed our car to the dealership in Bend for us and charged a super reasonable price for everything. I ABSOLUTELY recommend Oscars and we are super thankful for everything they did!

Took my hub assembly in to git old wheel bearing pressed out and new one pressed in he somehow managed to crack my rotor and still sent out the door i notice right away as i couldnt git one of the bolts tight that bolt rotor to spindle but I called him and he did replace it

Byron was awesome. I missed them by phone looking for someone to swap out our failing alternator in our 04 Excursion. A busy time & Byron had us on the road about 2 hours after calling him ... after moving cars and opening up a slot for us.Only draw-back is that the office is near the back inside their working area. No worries though, just poke your head and yell hello ... he came right out.Very courteous, efficient and accommodating.

Just WOW! Oscars Auto Repair saved my butt. A rock on the freeway damaged my radiator and Oscar was able to get it all fixed in ONE day (AMAZING) he worked on it after he was closed and we picked it up at 9:30p.m that night. Oscars was seriously amazing. They fit us in when no one else could and got us up and running. Even when something else unexpectedly went wrong after we left, they came out at 10 at night to tow us back to the shop and were nice enough to let us park our trailer in the back so they could work on the car in the morning. Then they had a specialist come out. Honestly, we cannot thank them enough. Really, really just the nicest guys. Thank you.

Came here and had to get my motor replaced, everybody was super nice they even gave me a car to use until truck was fixed. Originally they said it was going to be a week or two until it was done and it was done in 4 days. I will definitely be a returning customer.

I went in with a problem and a self-diagnostic of the situation, but after running an engine scan, he pointed out another possible issue. While being aware of what may be a BIGGER problem, he came up with a VERY inexpensive way of treating the situation and fixed both potential problems in an hours time and a lot more money left in my pocket that could have been wasted at other repair shops.I really cant recommend them enough! They have made a loyal customer out of me.

Visited friends on Christmas, and was on my way home, back to California from Oregon. Transmission gave up cause Ive got 200.000+ miles on it. It was saturday and repair shops were closed for a weekend. Oscars shop was open. I called them, explained my situation, Oscar arrived quickly and towed my car to the shop. He said they could rebuild or swap the transmission, I asked him if he could swap the transmission, cause mine already had a lot of miles on it. He offered me transmission with really low miles on it for a great price, I just had to wait couple days for it to be delivered to the shop, because it was a weekend. So he helped me to get a rental car, gave me a free ride to a car rental place. I drove back home, spend a New Year with my family, drove back to pick up my car. It was done, Oscar drove with me to a rental place to return a rental. then gave me a ride back to his shop to pick up my car. I picked up my car, drove it back home to California, transmission worked great, smooth shifts, no slipping, Im really happy with the work that theyve done.It was fast, excellent service, for a really great price! Those guys are professional and friendly! And they really care about their customers! Helped me a lot, even on saturday!Thank you!!!

Words can not describe how thankful I am for Oscar and his family! My wife and I broke down right outside Sister’s and Oscar personally drove from Redmond to come get us. No one is Sisters was able to help us. Oscar even dropped us off at a hotel in Redmond. If it wasn’t for Oscar we would had to stay the night on the side of the road. Also big shout out to his son for being so cool on the phone. We we’re extremely worried about our situation but after talking to Oscar son it was like a big weight was lifted off our shoulders. That had a lot to do with his demeanor on the phone. Very professional and extremely helpful!
