The long haired guy in the front desk has daddy issues and the manager is an overly emotional preteen wreck. I wanted to smack the stupidity out of them but I knew they would sing like a bird in court. I hope this place gets hit by a meteorite, lightning, and a good ol’ swing from Babe Ruth himself at the same time. God bless America.

Best U-Haul experience Ive ever had. The manager Sonia is awesome. I came in to have new wiring put on my Pathfinder because my trailer wiring wasnt working properly. Sonia saw I had existing wiring checked the relays and replaced a fuse. Saved me over 100 bucks. I appreciate honesty and thoroughness of the employees at this particular U-Haul. As a former employee of U-Haul I really didnt like the company in general… But this particular location redeemed the entire name. Thank you guys… You rock!

Even though we made reservations for a specific size truck as well as a one way trip - we were told when we arrived that they did not have what we reserved. Not only that, but now they stated we had to return the truck back (round trip) putting us out with driving, time, and finances. Customer service was non-existent- both at Alabama location and going higher up. Do not rent here - go somewhere else!

Can’t get a hold of anyone. No one answers phone. Came in here for a hitch installation, they charged me 85$ Wiring labor. I got home turns out they didn’t even install any wire. I had to drive all the way back from Fontana to Redlands to get my money back.

If wearing a mask is important to you right now know that only about half of the employees at this location are wearing them.While the app was not functioning this weekend, the folks in the office did their best. The 2 stars are for them, 3 off for the app failure, subsequent long wait, and lack of mask compliance in a business.

Negatives and positives. Was told the wrong loading address for my ubox, then, the lock handle was missing, and afterwards, I was somehow overcharged for a truck. However, with each negative thing that happened, the staff worked hard to fix things: the loading address was changed to the original requested address, the lock handle was promptly installed within hours, and the charges were fixed. Kudos to the team, I appreciated the help!

I needed a van to move some things, even through I used the mobile app there was a wait. The line was long and their computer systems were down. I eventually got the van and ended up needing it for 2 days. It was easy to rent for an extra day. The employee in the store and the one over the phone were both helpful and friendly. Using the U-Haul mobile app made it easy to drop the van off and pay my fees. I also purchased some boxes from them. Boxes are exceptional, they have built in handles that come in handy when picking them up. Of course these come in the small size boxes only, not all sizes have this feature.

I made online reservations for 6x12 enclosed trailer beginning of February 2021 to pick up at the Redlands location on March 20,2021.I called the week of myPick up to confirm my reservation .They said I was good to go . Then the day before my pickup, they called to say that the 6x12 would be available in BIG BEAR !!I could not make it an hour up a mountain. So I asked for other availability in closer locations . They then were able to find a 5x8 in Redlands for my pickup date . I agreed and reservations were changedOn the day of pickup, the gentleman who helped me was kind but not helpful towards my situation - as in he had no control of what was going on .The prior renters of the trailer were supposed to return the 5x8 by 10am that day and had not showed. He decided he should call them to see where they were at ( should’ve been done by schedulers ) . The current renters of the 5x8 decided they wanted to “extend their rental” for 4 extra days ( WTH) as I’m there at the counter .I was then told that even though they “confirm”Rentals the day before - it is not guaranteed (WTH again )They said that traffic control for uhaul would give me a call and let me know where I could pick up another trailer if available .I receive a call from them stating that in all of California, one way rentals are UNAVAILABLE .So my 2 questions in all this are1) why advertise one way rentals when they are unavailable?2) can we have better management so that way you can call people in advance as a courtesy so they can be prepared ?Sadly this is a huge hinderance to those packing and moving days before they are needing to leave .

Reserved a trailer via phone with a credit card on March 11, received confirmation email, text stating our trailer would be available for pick up March 18 at 10am. Arrived at Redlands U-Haul at 10am on the 18th. The sales associate told us the trailer wasn’t available, transport had issues. So I asked to rent another trailer, sales associate said we have no other trailers. Which there were some at the location but were reserved for others. When we asked what they can do she told us there was nothing they could do for us. I said why weren’t we called at all to let us know this? She said, rudely, I just found out when I called right now. So basically they don’t double check don’t see where their units are and ensure their customers will have a trailer when they arrive. Oh and they treat customers as if it’s not U-Haul’s problem. So now we are stuck without a trailer to move our daughter to Missouri. Everything all packed up and her apartment is no longer available so she has to be out (understandably not U-Hauls issue but stating our situation). So long story short we had to call U-Haul corporate, because again, the Redlands associate was of absolutely no help, to find a trailer. They have a trailer in Palmdale. So we are now having to drive from Redlands to Palmdale to pick up a trailer that should have been at the Redlands location for us. And no, Redlands U-Haul didn’t help at all nor did they offer anything for all of this hassle. Lesson learned, never renting anything from Redlands U-Haul again.

What happened to customer service? Well, you may not find it here. I went yesterday for propane and the young lady who assisted me lacked basic social skills. No greeting... no thank you... no youre welcome after I said thank you... nothing. She said only what needed to be said after finishing her task. I guess I need to find another place to get propane.

I made an appointment to have a hitch installed nine day in advance. U-haul call the day before to inform me that it would take another two weeks to get one in. Personally I found that very unprofessional. I should have been told when I first made the appointment not eight days after, which put me in a bind.

Honestly would give a negative if possible. Let me be clear, the employees are fine, polite, and at this location helpful. The reservation system is a complete joke. I am not sure UHual can define what that means. No matter when you make the reservation youre not actually reserving anything. Its completely random if something is actually there to rent. $50 guarantee is a joke. Theyre the only place to rent a trailer so they do not care at all. I wish you all the luck in the world if you are in need of anything from UHual. Just avoid if at all possible.

So incredibly bummed out. Came here on the second day of owning our new car to get a hitch installed. The tech who installed the hitch drove our car out of the garage and got grease on the interior and stained the stitching. I asked a lady who worked there to help clean the grease off, which she did try but when it wouldnt come off, all she did was say sorry and walked away.

Reservation was not available. They called the person who was supposed to turn it but did not even leave a voicemail. I was convinced to update/change my reservation time. When I left the location I seen that there was a reservation guarantee or they’ll give you $50. I wish they would have told me that instead of telling me I should change my time. Great customer service goes a long way.

Start to finish this experience was amazing. I was extremely impressed by Jeff (regional manager, if I am not mistaken). Though I know Jeff is not specific to this particular location, I cannot sing enough praises about his service and attention to detail.Regarding this specific location, the staff was efficient and dialed-in. No time was wasted, all the correct questions were asked or answered. Perfect from pick-up to drop-off. Made renting a truck a very enjoyable experience.

If i could give 0 I would! I never write reviews but this was BAD. I made an appointment 2 weeks ago for 9am to get a hitch installed. I arrived was told it takes about 3 hours, okay I went across the street to occupy my time. Come back almost 4 hours later and was told it hadnt been started. I told the guy I wanted my car and he said hes still on lunch so if the other technician starts it before he gets off lunch that I have to pay for it. I had to March myself back to the shop to get my vehicle back. Mind you im 8 months pregnant, I have never been treated with such disrespect. I will NEVER use uhual for any service again, PERIOD!

Baffling how slow and poorly run this joke of a place is. Ordered boxes online. Went four hours later and with six others in line. After 45 minutes ONE person was helped. Gave up came back next day, a Sunday morning when they opened. Figured fewer people would be around. Same situation but worse. One person helping ten and not very well. Gave up after an hour. Hire more staff and train them better. Dont walk RUN from this place. Poorly run and incompetent even by California standards

I reserved a 26 truck and a auto transport a month out from the date of rental. The morning before, Uhaul calls a says that I will need to pick up the truck in San Bernardino and the auto transport in Ontario. Do not use this location. They did not tell me at all that I would not be able to pick up the truck and transport at this location. Such a joke of a store.

This was a terrible experience. I made a reservation on the website which is pretty much worthless and saves no time. I entered all my information on the website. I arrived at the place at the right time (4:56PM). There is one person in front of me. After 15 minutes I get to the counter and they want everything they asked for on the website again and more. She tries to sell me stuff I dont need and things I already rejected on the website. I left that place at 5:38PM. The lady who was helping me (Jessica) took forever. Find a better place to go. I know I will.

Id leave a 0 rating if I could too! BAD service! Lazy people. Went for propane tank refill, rang bell at propane service area, no one came out. Rang it again, no one came out still. I walked in there and there were not one, but TWO people just sitting there at the counter! RUDE. So, apparently, the propane station was not working at this time, but nobody bothered to go outside to inform me or bothered to put up a sign to inform other customers? Probably because it was working and they just didnt want to go out in this heat! Ill go elsewhere next time.

After reading all the negative reviews here, I was a little afraid to go here, but having used them yesterday, I must report that I had an excellent experience!!! I went at 4:00 pm on a Tuesday afternoon and business was brisk. The Manager, Israel, waited on me and the entire process took probably 3 minutes, tops. Couldn’t have been easier! I stepped outside and gave my key to the young woman (I regret not checking her name tag to give her a shout out) and she went to get my vehicle. As Murphy’s Law would have it, it was behind another can, which she had to move, but it really just took maybe an extra two minutes. She was very efficient and courteous. The van had less than 3000 miles on it and was spotless. I asked her the drop off process and she explained it to me. So I returned a couple of hours later, they were still open and the same young woman checked me in — literally took probably 2 minutes and I was on my way. She was very friendly and customer service oriented, as was the Manager. Great experience! So I don’t know what all the negative reviews were about, but that was not my experience at all. As my mama always said, “You can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar,” — maybe some customers come in with a crappy attitude (because moving is always so much fun anyway!) and they give very busy staff a hard time. Who knows? But bottom line is I had a very positive experience in every aspect of this rental and I would highly recommend this location!

We had made an online reservation for a 10 foot truck and when we presented to pick it up we were told you were double booked and were offered a larger truck for the same price. It was a little more cumbersome to drive which was an inconvenience. They did offer us a discount which improved the situation. I feel lucky they were even able to give us a truck as a number of those surrounding the business were out of order. The experience wasnt that bad, but be aware they do double book their reservations!

Reserved an enclosed trailer. All went very smooth. They also installed the hitch on my jeep a year ago and all is still as should be. These guys are friendly and professional. Prices are very competitive. I have also had propane refilled here in the past without any problems. This is my go to place for hitches, truck and trailer rentals, moving accessories and propane.Update: picked up trailer on Sunday, April 2nd, one of their busiest days. The wait time was pretty good considering how many people in line. Once I was help, I was down the road with trailer in no time, faster and smoother than I expected. I am sure my returning the trailer will be without a hitch.

SCARY bad experience. 5 minutes after renting a 20 truck from here, it broke down ON Lugonia Ave and wouldnt start. I had cars n trucks whizzing past me because I didnt even have time to pull over. I was literally stuck in the middle of the street and after I was finally able to get hold of the manager (thank god I grabbed his card), his only suggestion was to GO ONLINE and submit an online road side assistance form. Are you kidding me??Uhaul corporate made it right as fast as they could and 90 minutes later, they got a replacement truck out to me and said my rental was free.DONT RENT FROM HERE!

Service was agonizingly slow. I registered online to have a quick check-in time and it was far from quick I waited in line for over an hour. The online registration was no quicker than not doing it online. In the plus side the vehicles were great and had no issues and returning the vehicle was quick and easy.

Im not teally sure how to rate this establishment! It certainly has its high and low points! I am grateful that they could take me a day early and start a bit earlier on my truck trailer hitch installation. But it did take to earlier unfortunate appointments where the installer had gone home early and another where they had ordered the wrong hitch and its not like I live around the corner. The good nnews is that they gave me $30 offbecause of itso I guess in the end it all worked out! 😀

I would give a zero if there s an option... Order was confirmed 2 weeks prior and plan to pick up ubox, but NO ubox on day of pick up and not an decent apology. Just horrible management and this messed up whole moving timeline and process. Go with Budget or Pods now, speechless and absolutely disappointing

Really good service. Ive used these guys a few times and always had a good experience. They have lots of moving supplies available and a large selection of trucks, vans, and trailers. One knock on them is that the counter service is often slow and the line will back up. I find that I need to arrive 15 minutes before my scheduled pickup time if I want to get out on time. Returns have always been pretty quick.

This place is nuts! They charge you WAY OVER the fuel average, which I understand but not 400%!!! I returned a borrowed rental with the fuel line slightly maybe a tenth of where it should be. I got charged $10 freaking dollars for fuel. If I go to a gas station to fuel it up, it will prolly need a freaking gallon because its MPG is roughly like 5 MPG (exaggerating). Anyways, no break or consideration. Maybe they need to make their fuel gauge more detailed so you can see exactly where the line is.

Reservation and pick up was smooth until 3 days after i returned the truck and paid they charged me a reservation fee. I called customer service as to why they would charge me a reservation fee 3 days after our transaction was complete and i had the worse experience. Sat on hold for literally 30 minutes before a rude Rep named Farooq gave me the run around and excuses with no resolution. Had to file a dispute with my bank. They need better customer service Reps and need to put their customers first. TWO THUMBS DOWN U-HAUL!

After reserving the trailer I got an email to inform me that I cant pull the trailer with my soft top jeep. Seriously? I purchased it with the soft top, they dont all come with a hard top. Then Stephanies bright idea was for me to purchase a hard top for this; what idiots does U-Haul employ? Then she proceeded to tell me I could rent a truck to pull the trailer. Mind you this is after I was told they dont rent trucks or vans for out of state moves. So I cant rent a truck to haul the trailer and you wont let me pull it with my jeep. Well I will be going elsewhere.

Went to get a hitch put on my truck. Only 1 person working counter. Had to wait 15 minutes before I got help. Getting an appointment and determining what I needed took about 20 minutes. Then we found out they did not have the part. Shipping the part was going to cost about $90. They said they would call other uhauls to get the part and would call me back when they get it. I am still waiting for their call.They said the total cost would be $293. I called other uhauls in the area and found the uhaul on D St. not only had the part but could put it on the same day. They did this work quickly and well. Total cost was $180. $110 cheaper than Redlands.The person I dealt with at Redlands Uhaul was nice but I will go to the Uhaul in San Bernardino for now on. I like to save money and Redlands overcharge.

Horrible wait. My mom and I rented a U-Haul from this location on Thursday. When we arrived early in the morning near when they opened there was only one employee working and already quite a line. It took us one hour to get the truck which really put us behind our day. Then when we returned it the same day, there was a second person working finally, but he was busy moving trailers and not interested in helping check in the trucks. Again we waited forever, 45 minutes, just to check it back in. Nearly two hours of our day wasted just to pick up and return the truck. We will never use this location again. Who has that kind of time to waste? I mean, I can understand if youre​ in Vegas at a brothel, but not for a truck. BTW, use your cell phone and take tons of pics of the truck at their facility before using it.

Do not use this place, no customer service at all. I called to get a price on two specific tow items, a car hauler and a tow dolly. I was informed that they could not confirm if anything was available until I gave them a credit card to hold a formal reservation. When I stated that I am unaccustomed to that policy at other U-hauls I have rented (I rent trailers frequently at the wonderful Eastvale location) and that I could see why the ratings for this store were so poor, the employee hung up on me. Simply unprofessional. If they cant give info, whats the rest of the service going to be like.

Was great not much in misscomunication or issues. They ask you respond, you ask they respond and its as simple as that. Gets you out fast if there isnt a waiting line. Then again you could call an make reserve trucks/Vans/CargoTruck/trailers all for moving.

DO NOT TRUST THE GIRL WHO TAKES YOUR CARD INFORMATION.I GAVE MY INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE TO HOLD A TRAILER. 2-3 days later a transaction was done online and OVER $200 was used from my account.I bank with Chase, they took care of it right away. Meanwhile another $100+ was used. And Chase acct was cancelled.I hadnt given or bought anything online in the past months. I strongly believe it was done by a uhaul employee.

My very first review of a company.To bad to has to be negative.Ordered hitch and wiring online, payed in full, waited 10 days for an appt. for installation on our new car with only 200 miles on it. Drop off was fine, the problem started when we went back to pick up our car. On arrival, meet with the installer, he said the hitch and wiring were completed but he was off the clock and leaving and someone will help us. Waited for about 10 minutes then we asked an employee as they were walking by for assistance, the reply we got was, Im busy, someone will help you in a few minutes. This happened 4 times. 45 minutes and no costumer service just to pick up our car...of course not...they already had our money. At this point I decided to call corporate costumer service....as I was on the phone with corporate...only then did an employee asks us if we needed help with anything...so it takes a complaint to corporate to get service? Now that we have an employees attention we can get our new car back from them, but of course we had to get it from the street where it was parked....so this location just takes costumers cars and doesnt even respect you enough to have your car on the lot, heck no, your not worthy to park your car at our business, off to the street with you!! When i asked about the installation and for verification of completion, the reply I received was, Ooo its done. Of course I had to demand that someone verify a job i already paid for in full. Guess we just have to trust them because of the outstanding costumer service...A week after this whole wonderful service....our new car starts to make a strange banging sound from the driver side rear...remember, new car....dealer takes a look...nothing wrong with the car from there standpoint....guess what is making all the banging noise? The control box for the hitch wiring installed at this wonderful customer service friendly u-haul location. the control box is dangling in an open area under the rear light assemble, just hanging there, banging around, not attached or mounted to anything, just hanging there. Hell NO will i ever spend a penny at any u-haul location....Now Im off to have the wiring installation completed correctly and spend more money for a job that should have been done right the first time!!Thanks U-Haul for helping me see the light, one of the worst CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCES I have ever had.

Made reservation for local trailer. Cashier was rude, refuse to rent because I would not give her my cell phone number. They already had my Cal. Drivers license, home address, home phone number, and credit card number. Wow, what else do they need. Tried of companies gathering information just to sell it to third parties. They wont even let you write a review on their site unless you enter your name and e-mail address. If this is there company policy, maybe it time more people refuse. Guess I take my busniess other places. Only been a customer with this store for over 15 years, never had any problem. Called store manager who comfirmed this was now there policy.. Unreal!!!!!!

Returned a trailer after hours. An employee was still here checking in trucks and locking up. He completely ignored me as a screamed over and over again for help as a trailer I unhitched myself started rolling away and into the street. I literally screamed for help time and time again as I listened to him closing truck lift gates and locking the store. This is utterly appalling. I am furious!

There was a miscommunication when we called as we needed a certain size truck to move one item that was 15 feet long. The customer service person counted the moms attic as the length of the truck after I specifically asked her about the floor of the truck. When we realized what they gave us wouldnt work, we went inside to return it where not one person apologized for the inconvenience. We went to Penske at Home Depot in San Bernardino where they were much nicer and accomodating.

Ordered over $300 in partss for hich to be installed. scheduled over a week in advance...spoke to stoe amanger to verify appt. the day of, i was told the tech was not in that day .it was his scheduled day off. when i approachd the manager about this discrepency ..he told me he will just refund my money and to not come back again...wow....great customer servic for a co. that was at fault. instead of trying to reschedule. he would rther push me out the door . last time i use uhaul for any of my needs. ..

Its 746 am been here since 705 am only 1 person working...not a very friendly app for early pick up..we were supposed to pick up at 5am and receive a video on how to do it and i never got a video and to do the self check in is hidden with the check in tab..didnt see it until we told the guy about itThat tab should be on the top not way at the bottom.

Never come to this place. A complete waste of time! This place is terrible. The guy drilled through our fuel line, probably cause he was too distracted on his cell, while installing a hitch. First our appointment was at 12, then they told us they were busy and that they would call us when they were ready, 3 hours later I called and they told us to come in.
