I had repairs done on my car from this mechanic to solve some issues and got my car back and a check engine light came on immediately and was having oil flow problems so I actually park the car for a while and just used my other car. Due to events I had to go back to my vw so I dropped it off at Mairs on December 21 2020 to solve the oil flow issue. And granted I understand with covid and holidays that repairs could be delayed. I actually didn’t hear anything from them for almost a month and called. They told me that I needed a new oil pump and would order it. (Why they didn’t already order the oil pump I don’t know) so I was reasonable and just accepted my car wasn’t done yet but was guaranteed my car would be done within the next few weeks. So I call them again about February 15 cause I still have yet to hear any updates. And I start getting the run around. I was told they were still looking to order the oil pump almost 2 months after I dropped off the car. I get told then that the car would be done by the following week. So I call every Wednesday for the next 3 weeks and keep getting excuses as to why the car is yet to be finished. Beginning of March I decide I’m gonna take the car to a different mechanic and make “mairs” aware of this. March 5th I go to the shop to pick up my car it’s obvious they never even started the work but assured me that if I allow him to do the repairs it would only take another week. This was March 5th. Today’s date is April 14 2021 and I am still waiting on them to finish my car. And if that’s not enough I wasn’t made aware until April 6th that my car was also gonna need a new turbo. The whole experience has been very unprofessional and it’s like Im being made to feel like a bother just by using their business. Even after telling them that I would just go with a different mechanic and they insisted I stay with them.
Very good VW mechanics. I will definitely bring my car here again when needed! Thanks again for the help with my TDI!
Great shop! Honest, didnt try to upsell on unnecessary repairs like a lot of shops. Had a computer problem with my 01 VW turbo, and unlike the other shop that had me replace the computer at a very high cost only to have it go bad in 2 weeks, Mairs was honest and reset the computer for a fraction of the cost. Highly recommend this shop,
Called for auto glass for my vehicle. I was very specific as to what car I was looking for (as I own the car, and I know what year make and model it is) I showed up to pick it up, he told me this isnt the car we talked about. He gave ME and attitude, told me how I wasted HIS time when he was the one who didnt take my information correctly. Waste of time, never calling them for any of my business.
Very good affordable service
Have been here to transfer my title a few times. Everyone is super nice and knows exactly what they are doing. I love going here!
Been bringing my vehicles here for years. Jeff is the best.
Horrible experience went in for an axle job. The guy was hard to talk to he doesn’t let you talk he thinks he knows everything when you try to explain anything he goes over your word. Gave me a set price after they took a look at my car which I was fine with then calls be back with a list of excuses had my car there for almost a month. Then switch the total price on me several times in the month and fed me more excuses on why isn’t my car fixed. Everytime I called him the total amount due was getting higher and higher due to them ordering the wrong axle. So the last time he calls me saying that there able to get the car fixed the price is $500 to $550 granite a month ago he was only charging me $350 now it’s at $500-$550. So I told him that I was gonna give him a call back. Because I had to check if I can afford it he said ok. Then he calls me back 2 hours later saying that the car is fixed and ready to go. So then I go in the next day to go pick up the car. After scrapping up money just to get my car back. I go to give him the money then the total amount due now went up to close to $600. Then I try to ask him why is it so high he then says “that’s the money I set and I’m not going any lower I spent too much time with the axle. The car isn’t going anywhere until it’s paid in full ” This is a horrible place to get your Audi fixed never going there again.
I was taking my car here for about a year, because this is where it was purchased. Within 3 months of buying it, my check engine light came on. I took it back and had a sensor replaced, but the light came back on a few days later. I brought it back for inspection & of course, it failed the emissions test. I was told the light was on because I needed a new exhaust (if that was the problem, then my exhaust went bad within 3 months of purchasing the car). I had the exhaust replaced & 2 new tires put on. It cost me approximately $500. Within 3 days the light was back on and less than a month later one of my new tires was flat. There was no problem with the tire itself, it was just leaking around the rim (Ive been told that its probably because the rims werent cleaned before the new tires were put on) I did bring it back to have the tire fixed, because I didnt want to have to pay for their error at another shop, but from now on, Ill be taking it to a new mechanic.
Its a great local family business.
They always take good care of my cars, an Audi and a Subaru. They are friendly and knowledgeable.
They are truly the experts when it comes to fixing VW. I have a 91 Cabrio and they have been able to locate difficult to find parts and take care of my needs. Prices are fair and I feel like the mechanics are straight forward with me
One of the only places that will work on my Audi
