My son was dropped through the cracks 3 times here. The first time I didnt hear back after his assesment. When I called, whoever did the assesment didnt even mark it as complete. I spoke with her again and she said they had a waiting list and have never had it happen before so they would call me back. I didnt hear anything and then Covid happened, so I tried to be understanding. I called AGAIN and the lady said she would take him on. I had to give verbal consent over the phone to allow him to have phone sessions. I did that and was told I would be receiving an email of something I needed to fill out, and send back. That was almost a year ago now, and I never received an email, nor did I receive a call. I went elsewhere and he was seen IN person immediately. No waiting, and no worries.

I have had a great counseling experience.

I went there three times in the span if a week during their listed operating hours, they closed early every one of those days, they are smug, rude and dispassionate. I find it difficult to believe they are happy to be serving the community. They called today to schedule an appointment. The receptionist said they only do the assements at 10 and 1 the soonest is a 12 on June 4th. Then she hung up on me because I didnt answer right away and I said Im just wondering if there is anyone else in rapid that can see my child because I dont have PTO and cant take a bunch of time off she said ok good luck and hung up. How are our children supposed to get help with mental health? Everyone I have dealt with here in rapid has the same cold, uncaring demeanor. This is a community crisis.

I was told by one one of the Christian zealots that work here the reason I self harmed as a kid was obviously for attention. Staff is rude, smug and extremely unqualified for handling children or anyone struggling with mental health. Go elsewhere.
