For being Community Health, they referred me out because my insurance was going to change in a few months. I feel that was unethical.
BMS is great at getting appointments but dont ask them to write any letter or get a call back when your family really needs help. They are too busy with other patients to help in a timely manner. Also very disrespectful over the phone. If I could report these incompetent people somewhere I would.
Behavior Management Systems is a Community Mental Health Agency with a large footprint in Western South Dakota. The organization provides much needed services to diverse population groups including chronic mental illness, crisis intervention, children, substance abuse, rehabilitation, military, students, homeless, and citizens from all walks of life. I like that they are innovative, adaptive, and open to the public. They do quite a bit, often with limited resources, and keep their doors open to the public. I worked as an employee from 2013 to 2016 and am also very pleased with the retirement plan, contributions, and updates. They offer benefits to staff, training, and a variety of work environments.
The therapist gave my day bipolar meds even though my daughter has no signs of bipolar disorder. Now my 14 year old is convinced she needs them when it’s just depression. She’s tried a few meds and because they didn’t work well the dr thinks she’s bipolar after talking to her for 45 minutes. She’s never had a manic episode or anything of the sort. No wonder the dr is resigning soon.
The receptionists were friendly and informative. The child counselor, Jessica, was welcoming.
The only reason i gave one star is necause it wont allow you to post unless you give at least 1 Britiny the anxiety med doctor seemed to be judging me from the second i came in. She didnt give me time to answer questions she talked over me. She made sudgestions of my answer befor i could answer. she made it obviouse that she doesnt actually have compassion or empathy for her patients. Its just her job. said she could not perscribe a certain fast acting anxiety medication for panic attacks while i waited for the others to take affect because if i ended up it court she didnt want to be held liable. When i told her i wanted to make a complaint about her she said of course you do. I already saw this. Coming and i wont be backed into a corner by you. How did she see it coming unless she had pre concieved notions and jumped to an assumtion of me based on my family and personal information. It was the first time ever meeting me. Patients need to trust their doctor has their best interest in mind and actually listen to what they say. Not be concerned with getting in trouble just in case she ends up in court. They are supposed to care about the well being of the patient first. I do not recomend her if you want sombody who hears you or even has your best interest at heart. Especially if you are a parent looking for help for your child. This woman doesnt care about the patient. It is nothing but a job.
I agree with that woman down below, Brittny V. was a horrible and judgmental NP.
BMS will cancel your appointment without informing you if your insurance changes or a therapist does not accept it.
