Awesome service, fast, efficient, friendly. Its amazing to find a car repair business thats not out to get however much money they can from you. I paid a way overpriced diagnostic at a car dealership where my car was purchased to be told I needed new battery which was only 2 1/2 years old. They wanted an outrageous price, luckily my battery was under warranty at a battery place in town so I went & purchased a new prorated price battery. I get home & shut off my car & it will not even turn over, just a clicking sound. I was able to get it started & took to Belly Brothers & left it for a diagnosis. I called the same day since a 3 day holiday was coming up,, I wanted my car which started occasionally & to bring it back after the 3 day holiday for whatever needed done if not real serious. Called them before closing & my starter line needed tightened. I had a back brake light out that was also fixed. Started right up & was told to go ahead, take it home for the 3 days they would be closed & see if everything was working well after they fixed it. I was totally impressed with this group of guys!!! Found my issue, did my oil service had it all ready to pick up the day of my appointment and everything works as it should with fair prices.

We are full time RVers so I got a recommendation and it was a good one, the owner said his business model has always been total honesty with a fair price. Their service was outstanding they got me in at my appointment time and got right to work and i was on my way 90mins later.. This is not a small shop the phone is constantly ringing and there were 8 or 10 vehicles in the shop. This is the third time i have had this scheduled service done, once at a private shop and once at a dealership paying for the two fuel filters & labor, I paid $326 & $425 respectively. i was surprised when the owner told be i only had one filter and my bill was $177 the owner then took the time to give me the part number and info Id need to be proactive next time. I highly recommend this shop and will consider scheduling work here if at all practical.

Belly Brothers is a great business. I have brought several of my vehicles here over the past several years and have always been more than satisfied. Robert and his crew are very professional, honest and will do everything they can to save you money. Theyll never sell you parts or services that are not needed, having told me on more than one occasion that repairs arent needed yet. They will talk options and are willing to give some advise if you are wanting to do some of the work yourself. I cant say enough about how pleased I am with their work, honesty and customer service.

During our camping trip we began having engine troubles along with no A/C. While searching for a shop in or near the Rapid City area I found Belly Brothers. Pulled our Suburban in diagnosed the problems mechanically as well as the A/C and had us back on the road within 4 hours. Robert is a standup guy. Knowing we were from out of state and on vacation he easily could’ve told us he couldn’t get to us right away, charge us a premium etc. Instead Robert treated us as if we were locals and charged us accordingly. We took our bmw into them for general maintenance like brakes and a/c which they fixed flawlessly and fast. We asked them to look into an oil leak problem, which they were able to pin point and fix in the matter of a couple days! We just drove our car to Texas right after they wrapped up fixing it and we had zero problems on the way. We’d recommend belly brothers to anyone!

These are guys are really honest. They quoted me one price and it came in under .They could have charged me the quote and I wouldnt have known the difference. They diagnosed and fixed the problem.

Took our vehicle to get fixed and they told us our air conditioner wasn’t working because of wiring and spent all day on it.They disconnected our backup camera too so we got it back with no AC & no camera. we took it to another shop and they told us our AC wasn’t plugged in and took our fuse out for our camera... why?horrible service & won’t ever trust these people

Fast friendly service. They seem to know what they are doing. Price wise they seem great. I have not got mine fixed yet as it will be a very expensive repair. So since I did not fix it right away I was surprised when I was charged for the estimate to the tune of $47.75. Even though they say free estimates it really is not. A little false advertisement. You will be charged and then discounted when you fix it. So that is my reason for 4 stars. Once the repair is done I will update on the rest of the service.

Arguably one of the best auto shops I’ve used in the country! One pleasant conversation on the phone and Robert brought me in without an appointment very last minute to help me get on the road ASAP when no other shop in town would. All of his team were very professional and friendly in explaining what they were doing and why. They even stayed open late to help others that needed help after arrived and made sure to treat everyone’s vehicles as if they were there own. Fair prices and great work!! Robert is a guy that fully is invested in providing top service and care. He is involved in all operations and makes sure all his mechanics are dotting there Is and crossing there Ts. With that being said all his staff really seem to do a great job. Furthermore he is kind, easy to talk to and responsive. Definently recommend trying them out for your auto repair needs AND tires. Best deal on tires and installation I could find.

We would give it 10 stars if we could. Robert saved our vacation. We were traveling out west from NY when our car overheated among other issues. We called many places but Belly Brothers was the only one that was willing to rearrange their schedule to take a look at our vehicle. After what we thought would just be a radiator hose, it turned out to be the head gaskets as well. This was on a Friday and the earliest the car would be done would be Wednesday. They helped us find a rental truck that could tow our camper so we could keep going on our camping trip. When the car was done, he helped us get the car back to us. We cannot say how happy we were with all of the service. This is a wonderful shop and if we lived in Rapid City we would definitely take our cars there. Thanks so much!!!

We encountered some car troubles while on a family vacation from Montana when our a/c went out in 100 degree weather with a van full of kids and camping gear when our car started smoking. We were able to limp into rapid city where we had planned to stay the night and Im so glad we were able to find belly brothers. Not only were they THE ONLY auto repair shop that was willing to fit us in that day to get us back on the road, but they also made 2 trips into town to drop us and all the kids off at story book island while we waited for the repairs to be completed. They were friendly, honest and fast. Couldnt be happier with their service. Highly recommended!

Nobody could figure out why I was experiencing power loss on my 6.0 chevy. These guys had it figured in 30 mins and got me back on my way. Two thumbs up!

Ive been meaning to write this review for some time, so here we go!I brought in my Volkswagon for some front end repairs. I hit a chunk of snow that came off a trailer on I-90 going 80mph on my way to Omaha. Cracked up the plastic parts on the front. Radiator was fine. The dealership in Omaha quoted me $750. We all know it costs more at the dealership so I taped up the plastic bits that were dragging, including the wheel well and decided to fix it when I got back to Rapid City. Belly Brothers was busy when I called but they were able to get me in and priced me at about $170 for the repair. I was a bit dubious since that is a big price difference between dealership and auto repair shop but let it go. They would order the part right away and call me when it arrived. It got really busy there and after a week I didnt get a call. I called a week later and they knew right away who I was and why I had called. They apologized and immediately got on ordering the part. I wasnt in a hurry so it didnt bother me. A few days later the part came in and I dropped off the car. The repair took no time at all. We were planning on a big road trip so when I got the car back I got under the front to see what had actually been done and was a bit surprised to find loose pieces the new installed plastic part as well as my tape job still in place in the wheel well. I removed the loose pieces and figured there was nothing we could do because we were leaving the next day. I figured out pretty quickly the price the dealership quoted me was because they planned to replace 3-4 plastic pieces and the auto repair shop just replaced one. Our road trip was to eventually end in Dallas, where we were moving too but a pet emergency forced us back to Rapid City a few weeks later. As I suspected the new piece eventually came off during our travels because it was attached to the loose piece in the wheel well. (Gaffers tape is awesome btw, 10 times better than duct tape and fantastic in a pinch. $7 a roll but I promise you wont go back) Since we were back in town I decided to try and take the car back and see what could be done. The guy was great! They had since fired the person who worked on my car and he ordered a new piece right away. Which was in the next day. When they put my car up on the lift he saw first hand what was really going on and told me hed need to order more pieces, which I agreed. We were slated to leave the next day, so I said if it was in before noon, Id swing by, if not, sorry we would be the on the road. The guy did all he could considering and thats what mattered most to me. To make things fair and right, he gave me the new re-ordered piece(the amount of pay for the first repair) to take with me. He really wanted to do more but our time frame just didnt allow for it. I appreciated his honestly. Good help is hard to find and when you manage a busy auto repair shop during the busiest time, stuff can get overlooked, like with anything. The front desk staff is great and they were always friendly when I called. In their defense, I normally do a lot of the repairs myself and I would have done this too if our tools hadnt been packed up and if life had been less busy. Either way, I appreciate him trying to make it right. Very few people left in the world with integrity and honest business ethic. If we stayed in Rapid City, I would definitely give them a call again.

First this: just go only there, its the best car repair shop Ive seen in this country.Having an old car (86 Chevrolet G20 Van) gives me always having a hard time to find good mechanics that know cars and not just diagnostic systems and standard procedures. Since I travel most of the time, its always hit or miss. When I stranded in the Badlands with a engine on fire (the elbow of the fuelline popped off), I brang my van to Robert and his repair shop. (thanks to another car repair shop in Rapid City that referred me to him). Everybody else in town couldnt save my van, they all sent me away. Not Robert. He accepted instantly. The task was incredibable complicated. All wires and hoses were burnt. Distributor totaled, carburator dusty. Robert and his team had to rebuilt the engine from scratch. Since its an old engine, they had to search for the parts. Hours over hours.After three weeks, finally the car was fixed. Well it took longer than projected, but this was due to difficulty to find the right parts. The price: absolutely fair. he didnt charge me all the hours of searching and trying. And since I am not from SD and I was a bit too early, he even let me stay with his family since we discovered a problem in our first test drive that needed to be solved the next day.The van is now running great, better than before actually. Thanks to Belly Brothers.I can only recommand this repair shop. They are fair, they run the business based on honesty and not like many repair shops they are really the experts.
