In the past, I would easily become annoyed or fixated on me getting a good vibe from past counselors. This time around, I became focused on fixing me and gave counseling an honest try. I continued to return, I didnt give up after the first visit. Over a course of time, my relationship with my therapist evolved. I have evolved. I am healing. I am learning. I am becoming a better version of ME. I am grateful for her support and look forward to my next visit.
I scheduled an appointment with Living Hope Counseling so my son and I could take the first step in repairing our broken relationship! After scheduling the appointment, I received an email with a few pages of documents to fill out. I was told to arrive on 12/30/20 at 9:00am for an hour counseling session.I arrived on 12/30/2020 at 8:59am and was greeted by a very kind spirited receptionist! He provided my son and I over 20 pages of documents to complete. Once I completed all the documents it was 9:28am and the receptionist advised the Counselor would be out shortly. About 5 minutes later, the counselor came out the back office and picked up my paperwork. The counselor never greeted us, nor gave eye contact. As she was looking at our paperwork, She told us to come back and have a seat.My son and I got bad vibes from that moment. The counselor seemed irritated, and bothered! As my son and I entered the counseling room and sat down, the counselors first question to us was “What brings you here today”My son and I began to explain our situation and the counselor was totally disconnected. She was not engaging much at all. My son and I were extremely uncomfortable. To make matters worse. At 10:00am the counselor advised our session had ended. I was confused because my insurance approved a 1 hour session. The counselor advised our session was only 30 minutes because we used the first 30 minutes completing paperwork. This is absolutely ridiculous. My son and I completed paperwork that was required by her office.I reached out to my insurance company and immediately requested a new counselor referral!I do NOT recommend this facility!!!
I have been a client at living hope for 2+ years and have always enjoyed my sessions, Yvonne Jackson is an excellent counselor who is attentive and sensitive to the needs of the client. I highly recommend this service
