I wanted to be understood for more than just what was on my resume, I wanted to be communicated to, and I wanted to feel like I was important to her and her company.My first goal, to be understood – I wanted Heather to ‘get me’, to be more than just that next spec even if that’s the only reason on her and her company’s end. She’d certainly understand that I was qualified for more than just 20 years’ worth of information technology. She’d understand that I was qualified for more than one type of job or profession, having been in law enforcement, military, digital communications, logistics, information security, industrial security, project management and good old information technology. She got it.The second goal is more of a common courtesy, a consideration that has gone silent due to the times and amount of competition out there among candidates and employers/recruiters alike. It seems, there’s no time to tell someone they’re still being considered or that they’ve been eliminated from the pool of candidates…or, not even being communicated to at all. How many people have sent a resume either by email, regular mail, or through an automated application management system online….and never hear anything back, even after countless follow-up attempts by you?Heather Terry kept me in the information loop, she listened and learned about me, understood my value probably more so than I knew my value, and kept me up to date with what’s happening in the process - -even if there was nothing to report. After all, she was looking at screens and lists of open positions. She not only got me, but had me pegged for more than just one opportunity. She definitely ‘got me’ and made me feel like I was valuable to her company and that we’d all find success in the end.We did.

At first I was communicated with very well by my recruiter Misty then things went bad. I was led to believe I was the front runner for a position when I then was undercut in the final stages. My recruiter was not transparent with me at all and it was very unprofessional! It was disappointing to know what was going on because Im smart yet told a different story by my recruiter. I was not kept in the loop and had to keep trying to get information on the next steps or what the status was of the position . I should not have to chase a recruiter down for this type of information. She hid very important details from me about the other candidate that I was up against he had a third interview which she never told me about but I found that out from other sources. If I am not in the running for the position thats fine but just be honest with me about it and I can live with the results but dont lead me on to think I am the front runner then undercut me with another candidate at the last minute. Then I get an email telling me an offer was already made to the other candidate and accepted which is fine but how about a phone call to me with this news instead of a cold email. Very unprofessional! I would use caution when working with this company and their recruiting team. Also she sent the client private emails from her and I that didnt even paint the full picture and some emails were missing total lack of ethics and professionalism. Then what she doesnt show the client are the phone calls where I was told by Misty the recruiter certian things that made me feel like I was the leading candidate and I obviously wasnt. Use digression with this company and recruiting team they are only out for themselves not the candidates or clients.

Misty Fulton is a very class act and an excellent recruiter with outstanding follow up and follow through skills, which is hard to come by these days in a recruiter. I would recommend Misty to anyone that is looking for your next career opportunity.
