Never get this insurance from sears they are the worst ever. You would think sears was a good store nope think again... I have been waiting on my replacement refrigerator for 7 weeks now and I still have not received it and when you call the customer service number they answer from India and you cant understand what they say... If you ask for a supervisor they wont transfer you its horrible if I can give a 0 star I would

Appointment was 4/16 to replace the Bellow on my washer. TO THIS DAY 7/1 the part is not available ( to them ) but you can find it on line. Have tried to cancel and get my money back so I can use a reputable repair service and still can’t seem to communicate to them that I’m done waiting. They Customer service is ATROCIOUS. I’ve called daily and gone online “ their system is not available” due to upgrade.

They did not fix my fridge after having them come out twice. They set appointments but do not follow thru. They order parts & have them shipped to my house but nobody comes back to install them. They offered the WORST service for appliances. My fridge still is not fixed after 2 months but i’d rather have a crack head fix my fridge than sears. Btw thanx for all the fridge parts you guys ordered i’ll sell them back to you at .5%!

In general my experience with repairs has not been positive. This was a very positive experience. The technician came promptly, was courteous and knowledgeable. He went far out of his way to obtain a needed part and returned late to complete the repair so I would not have an extended outage of my appliance.

We ended up buying a new washer and dryer becauze they took so long to come. We are now waiting for them to fix our fridge. Its been 2 months and they just canceld their appointment because the technician was sick after already having canceled twice before. Worst people ever. Should bot be in business. Total ripoff.

I called Sears out about 45 days ago because my microwave was under a service contract. They sent out a third party service man who said it was leaking radiation, nothing he could do, but dont use it. Then began a nightmare of trying to get Seats to fix the problem. I suggest you try calling the Seats repair line yourself to hear the computer respond that you have a 120 minute wait. Usually you get an operator in India! I went through this often because they never call you back to respond to the claim. Finally they sent out a Sears tech to tell me the oven is not leaking and that the third party tech was wrong. Unless you like waiting on the phone for hours and pulling out your hair never buy any appliance thru Sears. They are not like they used to be!

Terrible service. Came in to check my dryer and lied that it needed new parts and it will cost $800 . Meanwhile, my all my dryer needed was just to turn on its gas line. Thieves! Will never use them again. Please do not use them. They also want to charge $89 everytime they come in, for what!?

Never accept a service repair from a 3rd party contractor that does business with Sears. Horrible experience! Always request and wait for a certified Sears technician, because they know what they are doing. The contractor changed some parts and the next day my fridge was still not working. Close to 3 months I was getting the run-around from the contractor and finally fed up, I demanded a Sears tech. The Sears tech redid the contractors work which was sloppy and that same visit the Sears tech fixed my fridge. Lesson learned and wanted to share my experience.

I bought the sears warranty on a refrigerator. I bought the fridge back in 2006 always serviced. They replace the motor one time ice maker many times. But in December the light fixer broke and coused a short. The repair man said not repairable they ordered a epoxy and fell off. They said a replacement was in order I have been calling sears benefit for the past 5 months till this day not resolved. It takes 2.5 hrs to connect only to tell me that they escalade the concern to their manager. Well it used to be a great experience but went down hill in customer service and support. Im only hope we can resolve this issue before the renewal of the warranty period.

The tech was very nice and courteous, he inspected my refrigerator door tried to fix it but determined that a new door would be the solution. He stated that he would have Sears order a new door. This was on June 26. today July 8th i still had not heard back from anyone. I called the number the tech left me on his card. TECHNOYAN APPLIANCE REPAIR. contractor for Sears. The nice person that i spoke to Emilia, stated it that they had contacted Sears part dept and the door for my fridge was no longer a stocked or made model. That they surged state wide and couldnt find a door. They were now surging nation wide and she would advice upon hearing something from Sears. At this point not a happy customer, since i can dispense water from my fridge. hopefully Ill hear something soon.

I waited 3 weeks for refrigerator repair with infants during hot summer month. First repairman said it was a compressor and would need to wait forPart and he would have to come out again. Waited for part which came in 4 days yet the soonest repairman could come out was 3 weeks later. Finally he came out and did a quick Repair for which I got charged $99 for diagnosis and $208 for installing compressor. He left and fridge was worse than before. Had to wait another 3 weeks for another repairman who had a Much simpler diagnosis with a $15 part and 5 minute installation while I was told that my good compressor was taken out in vain by some unskilled technician. I have contacted Sears 6 times asking for My money back even thot they say they stand by their repairs for 90 days. Not true! . Have been told 3 times requests for refund are in the way . To date is been 2 months and nothing. Do notBut the warranty, do not buy the protection plan and do not Buy Sears products. . Terrible service and unreliable products, not to mentionCountless hours of being on hold only to reach call centers out of the country! furious and frustrated in California!

The tech that was from sears fixed the problem with one visit. I was grateful for the tech and his experience and his communication. Sears had sent a 3rd party to do the repairs and they had not been able to in 4 attempts. they were always reschedualing and changing times on me. So I was glad when they finaly sent a Sears tech to fix. Thank you Sears for finally fixing the problem.

The repairman couldnt find the leak in our refrigerator, but we continued to have water on the floor. He didnt even pull the refrigerator out to see if the water pipes were leaking. Another repairman from a different company came to fix something else and diagnosed the problem. Furthermore, Sears was paid on the spot and has billed us again.

I have had Sears service my Kenmore dryer for about 15 maybe more years. They always do a great job of opening it up and cleaning it out. It gives me peace of mind knowing that my dryer is not a fire hazard .Dryer is gas and the build up of lint in the places I cant get to is scary thanks to Sears I dont have to be concerned!

This was a real nightmare. Sears is great at calling you and offering repair coverage, but when it comes time to do the work, it never gets finished. We had coverage on our water heater. As is the norm, we called to get it fixed, and the repair man was not able to come out until the next week. They never mention that when they sell you the coverage. The repair man looked at the water heater, and decided it needed to be replaced Unfortunately the replacement water heater is on back order, and wouldnt be available for a month. The repair service allowed us to go out and buy a replacement which they would reimburse us for. When we bought the replacement another install crew was sent out to put the water heater in. They told us it could not be done unless we paid another $700. We argued with them, and the price went down to $500. In the end, they were unable to install the water heater. Long story short, it has been 3 weeks, and our old water heater still needs to be replaced.DONT PURCHASE THEIR SERVICE PLANS. YOU WONT GET ANY SERVICE.

1st service call - diagnosed the problem as the control panel - I paid $288.89 by check and was told that it would be an additional $158.68 when the part was installed. The repairman was given instructions to send the part to an address different from my home address, as I would be gone for an extended amount of time. My daughter would be here for the appointment to install the part. The part was not sent to the address given, so the appointment had to be cancelled. When I returned home and got my mail from the post office, I found that the part had been sent to my home. I also received a letter from Sears stating that they were unable to collect money on the check and I was to send another $288.89.Got another appointment to install the part - service repairman found that there was nothing wrong with the control panel and that another part was broken. Part was ordered and a 3rd appointment was made. After several call to Sears, with no positive outcome, I put a stop payment on the check. Michael installed the new actuator and shifter and took the unneeded control panel. After over a month, I finally have a washer that works. I realize that mistakes are made, but when calls were made to the Customer Solutions department, they were always very disinterested in my problems. Ive been with Sears for years, but Im very dissatisfied with this entire debacle.

Our refrigerator was broken for just over 5 weeks. Because it was a Kenmore/LG fridge, only sears could work on it. The problem is that Sears cant get a service technician out to look at the fridge for 2.5 weeks. When they finally came out, they had to order parts, they didnt carry the common part that usually breaks on my fridge. that took another 2.5 weeks. I will never EVER purchase anything from Sears ever again, and Ill never purchase a Kenmore/LG product again if Sears is the only one capable of servicing the appliance.***UPDATE*** It took Sears Repair ONE MONTH to respond to my 1 star review. Thats the same amount of time it took for them to come out and fix my fridge. Way to be on top of things guys!

Had no extended warranty because Sears tec would not fix my oven because my husband unplugged it. The last technician knew what he was doing and was able to fix our washing machine and it works perfectly. He was great, knowledgeable and knows what he is doing. However the tech who came out before him broke the new part and left us without a washing machine for 10 days. He clearly did not understand what he was doing.

The technician Ryan called ahead and showed up on time. Even though the washer was covered on protection plan, it turned out leakage problem was in the wall. Ryan explained this was outside of the plan. Nevertheless he checked everything and pinpointed the exact problem. He was very courteous and professional.

Repairman was personable and knowledgeable. The company on the other hand does not really care about the customer satisfaction. The tech doesnt carry parts even though the company knows what type appliance they are sending him out on. They have to come back a third time because everytime he finds something else wrong, he has to order the parts. On top of this, it is always at least another two weeks before I can get a tech out again. It has been over a month since I have had a working refrigerator.

Did not honor my Master Protection Agreement! They were/are suppose to replace my washer. Parts were ordered by Sears on 6/30/20 and its now 10/19/20 and Im still without a functioning washer. The service technicians themselves are very good. The big problem is not only the 10 days it takes to get a technician out but their terrible scheduling. Sears told me the technician would be at my home between 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. I took a half day off of work and at 11:30 I called Sears and the automatic system told me the technician would be at my house at 2:15 p.m. I contacted a live person and complained and the technician showed up at 1:15. When the tech was at my house he said the dispatch tried to put 2 more service calls in front of mine. So their scheduling dept is the ridiculous inconsiderate dept. That is the department that needs to be completely re-organized.

The service technician was excellent. This was the second time that Sears had been to our home. The first technician said basically it was our fault LOL for the water/ice dispenser not working due to juice or soda splash. I knew that wasnt the case due to we dont drink soda and we usually fill our glasses first before adding liquid. The second tech stated that there was something wrong with the dispensers on this fridge. He replaced everything with new parts. Im so happy & now we wont have any spills of water or ice on the floor. 😀

Horrible. Spent an arm and a leg on front loading washer and dryer ..both with steam capability a year and a half ago and maintenance agreements for both. The customer service number that you must call for service is answered by clowns. The washer will not cycle through any mode and I have had a technician replace a pump and now on his third visit ordered a control panel. My maintenance agreement boasts that if Sears cannot fix a product that it will be replaced. I was told yesterday that if replaced, it will be with a washer that no longer matches my dryer. The steam capability for my dryer was never connected as the hose supplied by Sears did not reach my water source. The delivery personnel could care less. The delivery service also set up my washer on the right and my dryer on the left because the hoses supplied to the washer would only function that way leaving us with the washer and dryer doors banging in to each other. Sears sales/customer service/maintenance agreements/home service/warranty are all a sham. We have been unable to use our washer for over one month and have NEVER been able to use the steam function on our dryer.

After 5 weeks and 4 technicians later they finally got my dryer fixed, the only problem I had with the last technician that came to fix my dryer also took parts for my convection oven, that I had been waiting on for a week and had another technician on his way to fix my oven, when he showed up there was no parts for him to fix, because the technician prior to him had stolen them. He knew the part was not to my dryer but to my oven yet he took the parts anyways. I dont trust them in my house unsupervised and I watch every move they make!

The technicians (there were two) did an excellent job once they were on site and had the parts. Microwave is fixed and still working.The staff at 1-800-for-my-home were another story. Appointment was scheduled for 8-12. When I called at 12 to find out what the delay was I was put on hold for a couple of minutes. When Eric came back on the line I was told that the technician was on his way. When I called at 2 Julie told me somebody from routing would call me shortly to discuss. When I called at 4 I was told all that could be done was to reschedule. Apparently somebody decided early in the day that my appointment would not happen and they just waited until the end of the day to let me know. I did talk to a supervisor (Liam) not for sure if he was helpful but the technicians did show early.

Part 1: Placed request for repair, prompt service on appx 3 days by knowledgeable technician who ordered part for repair.Part 2: After receiving part in 2 days, was told I would have to wait 10 days for technician to return to install the part. I have always had no issues with the repairs but this time it was totally frustrating. Had an appointment on Friday after Thanksgiving for repair to frig from 1 - 5 no one showed up no one called. Via chat discussed all my repair issues and was given another appointment for the 29th 1-5 no one called and no one showed up. Starting to feel like they are short of people and have poor communications. Have an appointment on the 7th. This is really sad as we have been on this maintenance program for 25 years and have always been happy with the techs and the service.

Took 3 weeks to get our dishwasher fixed. Took over a week for tech to come. Then when he came he found out the wrong part came. Then he ordered the correct part and then it took another 1 1/2 weeks to get the tech back. Tech was great but they need many more of them. We are paying for the service, but over a week for the tech to get to our house is not acceptable. We are a long time Sears’s customer, but what happened to the days when we could get our appliances fixed in 2-3 days not 3-4 weeks?

Utilized on-line chat to make appointment and at the end of the call was offered no obligation remodel consultation. This was the problem, customer service representative missed a few questions to make the experience 5 stars. They forgot to ask if the service required to satisfy service was a fix or maintenance. Was washer stacked or side by side. I received a call from a service technician asking about issue with washer and he determined request was for a fix and recommended rescheduling appointment. It was changed from A.M. to P.M. Technician arrives and said he cant help me because no one told him washer was stacked. I get a call from a second technician for dryer service and was not aware a technician was already at my home. When I called to complain, technician said he would take care of it. It appears customer services does a poor job screening call for customer needs, resulting in re-scheduling appointments and leaving technicians in a difficult position to deal with upset customers. First technician fixed the problem with washer.

Took over 10 days to get a service technician out. 1st one took pictures 2nd one had to keep referring to online videos to figure out how to install the soap container. He said he was unfamiliar with units that didnt use an electronic release (ours is mechanical. He didnt check to see if it would actually pop open. When we ran the dishwasher a could of days later the soap dispenser didnt work so the soap was not dispensed during the 2nd wash cycle. Running the nob around before leaving would have demonstrated it. Based on their schedule it will be over a month we have been without a dishwasher. Note unit is covered by an extended warranty.

The repairman was on time. He listened to the problem with my dryer, said the noise was normal for (I forget the name of the part) on the motor and it was normal wear on it. He said that the motor would need to be replaced if we wanted the repair, but the dryer should last for a long time as it is. I would have liked him to look inside, but, oh well. I guess he knows what hes doing.

Sears Service company is the worse that I have ever dealt with. The service person told me he know exactly what the problem with our oven would be and after the second try to fix the oven he said that it couldnt be fixed. Sears also said on the first call out that if we bought the Home Warrantee and if the oven would be covered if it couldnt be fixed and that was a LIE. The Service Tech also told us that the cost of the parts installed would be credited back to us since the oven wasnt fixed, another LIE. TRIED TO DO NO STARS FOR SEARS BUT IT WONT LET IT POST SO YOU GET 1 STAR BY DEFAULT.

My review has nothing to do with the technician. He was polite and did his job well. My gripe is with the scheduling and lack of communication. He was schedule between 8 am and noon. He showed up at 2:30 pm with out any call. He said the office was supposed to have contacted me. Too many scheduled calls and no courtesy call is not good policy.

First of all it took a week before I could get an appointment for the repair of my washer.Then the first repairman just kept asking me the same questions over and over until I told him I didnt understand what he wanted to know. Then he stopped asking. He called someone else to help him diagnose what was wrong. This took an hour and a half of my time and he left without repairing the machine. I had to wait another week (2 weeks total) to get my machine repaired.

The other experiences were not so good.July 12, 2016 I have had three service people come and try and fix my ice maker in the whirlpool refrigerator. It has been more than a month now and each time i get an excuse. Today the service man said that the ice maker was fix and after he has been gone for more than 7 hours I still have no ice. I am paying for a Sears service contract but they are sending out technicians who cannot repair the refrigerator. I will call and schedule the 4 appointment for the same problem tomorrow.

Everything went well. It was easy to make the appointment and the service persons arrival was prompt. I called on a Sunday and Ulices was here on Monday. He was very cordial and professional. He listened when I described what the problem was with our Samsung dryer.It didnt take him very long to disassemble the unit and diagnose what the problem was. That indicated to me that he apparently knew what he was doing. Within a short amount of time he had the dryer running like new again.I guess the only thing that keeps me from giving Sears five stars is that I thought at first that it was rather expensive to fix the unit. I was quoted a $79 visit charge plus parts and labor. But I was then told about the one year warranty program. I dont think you guys use warranty to describe this but thats how I see it. It was $193 to cover the dryer fully for one year. I had to decide when I first called whether I wanted the coverage or pay the visit charge plus parts and labor.I decided to get the coverage. I guess theres a certain peace of mind knowing that if anything happens to the dryer within one year it is fully covered. It just feels a little bit like a hard sell. Had I paid for the work without the coverage it would have come out to $163, so $30 more for a year of full coverage isnt so bad. I didnt do any price comparisons or looked for a local repair person who might have done the job for a lesser price. The Sears brand still represents something to an old timer like me. Im sure it still costs a lot of money to maintain a fleet of repair people to go out on a job and do it right the first time!

I was very unsatisfied with the price. I was told $255.00 if the part was not under warranty. The part was $89.00. It was covered by warranty but I was still charged $253.00. When I asked the service guy he said that was the labor charge. Unsatisfied with that response because I was told that was the price including part price. Big difference!!

Service took longer than expected due to 2 weeks ordering parts, repairs seem satisfactory...was performed by some outside service which I wasnt aware Sears used, bought my appliaces from Sears and expected Sears to maintain when needed
