I found the owners involved, caring and concerned for their clients. A brochure explains all that is offered. Ive never witnessed this facility to be dirty or unkempt in anyway. There are a variety of clients with varying diagnosis, some are med complient, while others have issues participating in the program to the point of becoming violent and distructive and putting others, both clients and staff in dangerous situations. To that point I would have to say they may not be a good canidate for this facility.
If it was possible to give this facility a rating of zero, I would have done it. Unfortunately, I had the misfortune to spend time at this filthy facility. I was promised access to a dietician. This never happened. I was promised transportation to 12 step meetings. This never happened. Rarely did any of the scheduled groups occur. Instead, they had art group. Art group is just coloring. Also, they claim to have equine therapy. This never happened. At one point, I told Patty, the director of the program, that because of my issues, I was not appropriate for their program. Patty told me I was faking. Unfortunately, I ended up losing 34 pounds and becoming very ill before Patty agreed that I was not appropriate for their program, so Patty ended up costing my family $12,000 for this terrible filthy place. At one point, I revoked a release of information to a certain individual. Lisa Du, my therapist at Changing Options, continued to talk with this individual. She continued to email this person. I have the dated emails to prove it.There was almost always urine all over the bath room. On one occasion, there was feces on the floor in front of the bathroom. When I complained, I was told I was being obnoxious. I also have pictures of the filthy bathrooms and the feces in the hallway. Please, never send your loved one to Changing Options. It is a scam at best. It is very dangerious at worst.
