On time and tech wore mask and booties in house. Gave options on service and prices. Very professional.
Mothers - raise your sons to be plumbers and your daughters to marry one and they will never be poor. In the past two months, I had a leaking outdoor faucet repaired, a leaking toilet repaired and ultimately replaced and a leaking bathroom faucet fixed at the cost of more than $1000. I always thought Schwartz was overpriced but this last visit took the cake. Earl spent no more than ten minutes on the leaking bathroom faucet and I was charged $212+ which I find shameful. I understand people need to make a living but I, for one, and sick and tired of being taken advantage of. I will never call Schwartz again and will advise all my family members, friends and acquaintances to look elsewhere for their plumbing needs.
Great service and timeliness. Called to set appointment... two days away is very fair. I called and added a hose bib that was also leaking, and she said theyd do it if possible. Then they called back in less than a half hour to ask if I was available right away. YES! Technician came within 20 minutes. Excellent work. Had to deal with some craziness in the wall from the last homeowner. All is good. Pricing was extremely reasonable.
Adan and his team did an amazing amount of work in 2 days. They were professional and went out of their way to explain things to us. They really went above and beyond for us. The amount quoted for the job was what we paid, which was a plus. I would definitely hire them again.
I like this place they did a great job
I called Michael & Sons and they wanted $76 just to come out and give an estimate. I had seen a Schwartz van in my neighborhood recently, so I gave them a call. They gave me a quote for the services I needed OVER THE PHONE. I needed a garbage disposal removed (not replaced, just removed). The price was very reasonable (I had another quote to compare) and the technician was very friendly and efficient. Would recommend!
Installed my tankless water heater and a bathroom faucet. Tommy is a pro and really good at plumbing. Cheap? Not really. But plumbing isn’t something where you want to cut corners. You get what you pay for... If you want something done right and attention to detail, then this is your plumber
James was professional, knowledgeable, and an all around good guy. And of course, he fixed the leak we had. He came highly recommended from a good friend of mine and I will continue to request him in the future. Thanks!
Adan came out today to fix my toilet. Not only was he professional and got the job done beautifully, but he spread kindness and joy while he was doing it. Give this wonderful man a raise!!! A million stars
Do NOT go with this company! Schwarts told me on a Monday they would had to order a part and would call me the minute they ordered it to schedule a return call. They did not contact me the next day so I called again and they promised the part was on its way and they would let me know the minute it arrived.I heard nothing after that. After a week of leaving messages, they informed me that they forgot to order the part and that they wouldnt arrange for the warranty to be covered (even thought they had told me they would take care of it). After a week with no call backs and no information they finally admitted that no one had taken any steps . I asked for a refund for the service call ($200+) - they refused a refund even though they had lied to me multiple times.
Thank you to Eddie and Thomas for helping replace our hot water heater/tank after it leaked in our attic. Eddie was able to come within an hour of calling early morning and help mitigate further leaking along with getting the restoration team at the house immediately, too. Both Eddie and Thomas worked hard to get the stubborn tank out of the attic and worked to install the new unit so that we had hot water by the next evening (they rescheduled other appointments to ensure they could work on our system starting early the next day). We appreciate their timeliness, professionalism, and price.
I cant say enough good things about James! We returned to my parents home from vacation to find their basement flooded and pin hole leaks in some of the pipes. James came out, last minute, and replaced the pipes quickly and for a reasonable price. Just to top it off he was incredibly kind! Thank you!
Pedro came out to inspect a house I am purchasing in the next month. He was punctual, knowledgeable, and very down to Earth. He gave me his honest opinions on each of the issues ahead of me and how much they would cost in the future, but did not pressure me. I feel Schwartz prices were fair and can imagine with Pedros knowledge they do solid work. Ill be contacting them in the future.
He installed a water heater but was not the brand we agreed upon. He had every opportunity to tell me he was installing a lesser brand but didn’t. The price was the same. This company is a scam. Never again
I wont be using them again. Make sure you understand what & how they are charging. I was told a service charge for a diagnotic was different than a service charge for a quote, theres quite a difference in price.
Im delighted with Schwartz Plumbing and have been for decades. My landlady used them, I bought a home and used them. Now they are my go-to for my investment propertys plumbing needs. Great job, fair price!Second review 3/1/18 Highest praise for Schwartz Plumbing who work very quickly to replace aging sewer and water lines at our investment property. Thomas went above and beyond to deliver superior service. When he noted further issues on the city side of the lines, he coordinated with the city to arrange service so that all will be in tip top shape. Bravo for the good service Schwartz Plumbing!BTW, there are a few businesses with this same name. The folks in Raleigh, NC are the real deal, so all these reviews may not reflect the Raleigh, NC business.
I am a retired and a Wake County resident of 35 years. I woke up one morning to having a problem with a leak in my crawlspace. I called Schwartz Plumbing at 7:30 AM and they had someone responding within a couple of hours of me reporting my problem. The technician was courteous, professional, and explained the problem I was having in detail. He also told me what to expect for repair costs. After he was done, he was sure to ask me if I needed anything else before he left. I would definitely recommend Schwartz Plumbing to my friends and family.
Honest Plumber! On Time, and courteous I had a kind of musty smell in two sinks in a bathroom. When the same smell came from the toilet area, I thought there may be a big problem, that would require a big payment. Schwartz plumbing came out - ON TIME and assessed the situation. of course there was no smell when he arrived, but I wanted to get to the root of the problem. he told me that if I didnt use the tub in that bath, that perhaps something could happen to create a smell - I dont recall what it was, but he was correct that the bathtub in that bathroom is not often used. He did discover, and showed me where there was a very small leak in the toilet. I was prepared to pay a lot. Instead, I paid a very small amount for the small leak that I could see when, looking behind the toilet. I will always use Schwartz plumbing for jobs big and small
We used Schwartz to have our tankless water heater installed several years ago and recently ran into a huge (insurance claim) leak saturating all of the insulation in the crawl space and creating mold along some beams. Another plumber came to find the polybutylene pipes had melted slightly and created a pinhole that had been leaking for weeks. That plumber had led us to believe that Schwartz had contributed to the problem. They also offered to replace all of the pipes, but in three months. So, essentially they say we “will” have another break, but wait until we can get to you.The next day, the water heater just stopped working so we called Schwartz. Now, I had been under the house pulling out wet insulation before Carolina Restoration was due to arrive and I was pretty upset. That’s when I met James in the driveway holding the section of pipe the other plumber gave to us for insurance. I blew up on him waving the pipe around and unloaded all of the stress on him. James should have left, but he calmly explained what had really happened and was so gracious to excuse my behavior. He actually ended up giving me a hug...which I really needed.I’ve been reading reviews by other people and it seems like most people just love the technicians Schwartz hires, but I think James really went above and beyond to help me understand our problem.....and not running away from the crazed lady with a pipe was a bonus. 😳James went on to spend several hours diagnosing some issues, correcting them, and then even patiently explained it all over again when my husband arrived home. We were so impressed with the quality of service he supplied for the price.
Best plumbing company in Raleigh, best plumber(Alex) in Raleigh.Alex is the best. Thank you for all the great service over the years.
We used Schwartz to replace our hot water heater a couple of years back and they took us through all of the different options for heaters that could fit into our constricted space. Today I called because our garbage disposal was destroyed and told them I needed a replacement. I called at 12:45, they were here at 1pm. Technician Brian patiently allowed me to continue my work call while also trying to tell him what had happened to it. Although I had assumed I needed a replacement, Brian was able to fix it, saving me money! Very efficient scheduling, good communication, and from my experiences so far, great plumbers.
I always use Schwartz Plumbing. They arrive when they say theyre going to. They do the work. They usually have whatever parts are needed in the van. The people who answer the phone are helpful and friendly. Ive never had a problem with them. They arent cheap but I think their service is worth what they charge.
Had a bit of challenging issue with broken flow regulator in the shower. They came quickly, were courteous and very creative in solving the problem which ended up saving me quite a bit of money. Would like to particularly commend Eddie, the technician who came out.
Schwartz was able to come same day for an issue we were having with our garbage disposal. The plumber arrived just when he said he would and was really friendly and polite. He was able to fix a few issues we had in the house. One problem had a much smaller and inexpensive fix than I had expected! Knowledgeable, professional, and honest. Just a very positive experience. I will definitely call them again for future jobs.
You really have to be careful with this company. Make sure you get everything in writing and you understand what they’re going to do. Lesson learned, I don’t think I would used them again.
This seems to be a good company and with great reputation. Therefore, my review is based solely on my personal experience and should not be a reflection of their many years of service. I had service about 2 1/2 weeks ago on a water heater that was not warming up the water. After paying the service fee, I was told I needed to replace the water heater and the cost would be $1,500 in addition to the service fee. I looked online, the heater I have (which has worked fine for 10 years) is about $400, and better ones go up to $1,000. So at that point Im, thinking, this labor/installation fee is outrageous ($500-$1,000 ??). My Pastor who is not a plumber tells me, if its not leaking, it probably just needs a part replaced. So I talked to a plumber at work, and he tells me the same thing. He stopped by the house, cleaned all the ashes off the internal gas line and heater is now working better than previous months. All for a fee of $85. I was very dissatisfied to know I almost lost $1,500 that I did not have over a simple fix. I did not see any rust buildup underneath the tank as told by the Shwartz service tech (over the phone since I was not present during the service call), nor any reasons why it would not be worth trying to fix it.
We had a to replace a section of sewer line under our slab. Schwartz gave us an estimate that was 60% of the other forward-looking Plumbing company. Matt and Sam did the work, breaking through a minimal section of our slab (Much smaller section of demolition the other Modern company proposed. Matt and Sam did excellent work, kept a clean workspace, cleaned up after. and even patched the slab back up (which the other Revolutionary company refused to do). I am quite pleased with the work Matt and Sam did for us and will always call on Schwartz Plumbing from now on.
James did a fantastic job at our business, and got us back up and running in no time. Very personable, and professional. We would highly recommend them!
Schwartz Plumbing did a really good job for me, replacing two failing tank water heaters with a Navien tankless. They did exactly what they planned and charged exactly what they estimated; their estimates were competitively priced. I found the company’s owner and the repairmen very friendly and helpful. Locally owned and operated, Schwartz is large enough to offer 24x7 emergency service and small enough to give personalized service.
Hello all! These guys are awesome! Tommy was great! He was friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. Thanks a bunch man! May the Schwartz be with you!
Our well pump decided to pass on yesterday morning, one second running water and the next hissing faucets, but no water. A quick Google and Schwartz Plumbing popped up as on the more reviewed recommendations that had a lot of positive comments.Tommy was the first person I spoke with and he recommend I do a few things till they could get someone to me. He offered to have someone come right out to us, but since I strongly suspected our 19 yr old pump had failed and I asked for a regular appoinment and Tommy scheduled me for a 1pm visit.Ross, from Schwartz, called approx 10:30am, explaining he had an opening and could he stop by and take a look our problem. He arrived shortly and walked through the trouble shooting steps that pointed to our pump failing. He got me an estimate and setup the replacement for next day.Tommy showed up the next day and later Steve Schwartz The Boss stopped by to help. They quickly pulled and replaced our 200 ft of pipe with a new pump.Great folks and I am pleased with how they resolved our problem.TLDR: I was impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the Schwartz team and will be using them for additional projects we need done. Thanks Ross, Tommy, and Steve
Thomas and James saved the day on a Saturday afternoon where water was not draining from our house (roots found their way into an apparently bad seam in the PVC pipe near the outside clean out drain). These guys broke their back to get us back up and running (they had to dig a large hole to get down to the pipe that was clogged). Awesome job and I will continue to use their service!
Be careful. Schwartz Plumbing came out to look at a hot water heater that wasnt working and hit the reset button and charged me $150.00. The hot water heater continues to turn off, and apparently it was my fault because the technician didnt understand that the problem wasnt the reset button? So incorrect diagnosis but blame placed on customer.
I had a great experience with Schwartz Plumbing today. As a real estate agent I had several concerns from a home inspection and was on a tight time table. Schwartz plumbing squeezed me in next day. Jerry was awesome. He arrived early for the appointment and checked over what my buyers were worried about. He listened and investigated. Thank you.
Schwartz Plumbing is a reputable company and does excellent work. They replaced my water line between the house and meter and also did the plumbing for my kitchen remodel. But when I called them out to provide an estimate for a tankless water heater installation, they charged me $70 after the estimate was provided, to be applied to my bill if I decided to have them do the work. I had a couple other companies also provide estimates at no charge, so I especially didnt appreciate them slipping in this fee after the fact.
James came to our house today and is excellent. Second time hes been there for different issues. Ive found Schwartz to be fairly priced, they do good work and are efficient.
I thought it was starting off well when I received a call from the plumber saying he could come an hour early. (Yay, I thought) Then he started complaining about DTR parking. He said he hates jobs DTR. When I met him outside, he told me that he parked in a loading zone at the corner. I talked with him about the parking garage next door and the meters out front. He said hopefully it wont be towed. On the way up to the condo, I told him that strange enough the toilet wasnt running today. (I had turned to water to it off and when I turned it back on to prepare for their visit- it didnt keep running. It sounded fine. (odd ??- how did that happen? ) He was also looking at the kitchen sink which had seemed to have some grease like stuff under the sink. When he was going back out for supplies, I handed him a couple of bucks for parking. He asked if the meters will take the cash. I told him no, but the parking garage right next door does. He told me that his truck is 9ft tall and cant fit in the garage. I told him that the meters take credit cards. He wasnt going to bother moving the truck. I told him that Id get my Cc and pay for it because I didnt want him to risk having the truck towed. He asked me if I was going down with him. I told him that Id be down by the time he got the truck. I went back down and paid for the parking. He told me that the toilet still needed the inside piece rebuilt even though it wasnt running. He said, see how high the water level in the tank is. I asked if there was a screw or something that could adjust the floater (Idk-that is what I call it) piece. He said um...uh, yes but it still needs to be replaced. I told him to just go ahead and do it. He was ready to leave about 15 minutes later, I was shocked when he told me it was $200 to place the toilet piece. I literally was so shocked that I started shaking.I told him that if he had told me that I would not be shaking from the shock of it and I certainly would have just had the whole toilet replaced because I always hated it. (I always wanted to replace it but wasnt going to to waste money replacing a working toilet.) Id rather have spent $500 on a new toilet and had a pretty new one! I called to let them know that I was shocked! The story about service call charges and per job changed with the plumber and during the call. (Service calls are now 200/ rebuild is always $195, etc).Either way, $200 to rebuild is crazy! I agree with other reviews that say get them to email you regarding prices before you set an appointment!! Oh, and when I called after to let them know I was shocked, they even stated that plumbers need to be paid for their work . Seriously insulting!!! I not only want to pay for work that i have done- I saved them them cost and trouble of a tow! (Yes, DTR will tow if you park illegally!) (I cant comment on their actual work because they were just here today.) Shocked and sad to need to find a new plumber. :(
We came home to a leak in the garage, but couldnt figure out if it was coming from inside the wall or from the water heater. James was the on-call plumber from Schwartz; he showed up at 8pm and stuck around until well after 10pm helping figure things out. He returned the next day to install a new water heater, and had that knocked out in less than two hours. The leak was unexpected and frustrating to deal with -- but James was incredibly professional and very nice. We didnt have a go-to plumber beforehand, but we do now!
Couldnt be happier. consultative, ontime, did great work, friendly, and priced right! dont hesitate to bring them out to do whatever it is you need done. I have a new go-to plumber for sure.
HIGH DOLLOR! 2500 dollars for 40 ft water line
Schwartz Plumbing did a phenomenal job on a repair to the main water supply of our house, which was leaking underneath a 30 foot concrete area of our driveway. 2 other plumbers said the job was too big for them and suggested completely re-routing the water or tearing up the concrete. Schwartz Plumbing had the proper equipment to replace the waterline without digging a trench and were able to bore under the concrete with the new line. They did so with virtually no damage to our landscaping and irrigation, when I expected extensive damage. They even repaired a loose hose bib while they were at it at no additional charge, and the water pressure is the best its ever been since weve lived there. I would highly recommend Schwartz plumbing. Great job!
I had three plumbers try and fix my hammering of pipes in the walls, one told me to rip ceiling out and re-run the plumbing. Swartz came in, fixed our problem for 190.00. Highly recommend
Highly recommended. On time, professional, good work and reasonably priced.
Matt from Schwartz came by and fixed a leak under our sink as well as a couple of other minor thing. He was very helpful - got everything done quickly and at a fair price.
If you need a plumber for whatever this is the only company to call
I encountered a road rage incident with one of their employees and if thats the kind of business they run with their employees threatening other drivers then do you really want them working on your plumbing?
Great company!
Ridiculously high price! The man spent literally 10 minutes rebuilding the interior of toilet. Cost $269.00 arrived at 8:34 wrote bill at 8:44. Never again will I call Schwartz Plumbing!
Schwartz Plumbing followed up on a $3625 hot water heater installation, but never notify me that they would charge an additional $78 fee just to check on their work, and then they got angry when I questioned the fee.
If you did not use the service how can you rate it
Good
