I was just there to check the place out. I am used to thrift stores like this back home in New Jersey but I didnβt mind the hunt. Nor did I mind the price change at the register when one woman priced $4 when the register woman would charge me $5.36 (she said it was plus tax). π. Didnβt mind at all, we all make honest mistakes and I donβt mind supporting local π...... BUT..... I asked how much a dress was and to ad it to the tab. The dress was $10 and my shelf was $4 ...how is my total $21......I paid ....but that will be the last dollar I spend there .I love my people but we have to do better
Great place to look and find gems, its not the most organized but the people here were nice. Definitely will be back.
I could spend all day in this store. Mae is so wonderful and kind. She gives out students deals and works with what you can pay. I would recommend this store to anyone. Such a fun place to search for some good finds.
The owner is a lovely woman! So many things to look through and very good deals. She will give very good deals to students. Love spending time here!
Its a different thrifting experience than your typical Goodwill but in a good way. Its like walking into an I Spy book and a fun shopping experience for the right kind of person. Its true that the store is very cluttered and that nothing is priced and you have to ask for prices, but thats all part of the fun. You never know what youll unearth. We bought a very cute retro cabinet in great condition for $10 today and will be back in the future.
I took my daughter here while shopping for things for her new apartment. The owner was extremely nice, and the prices and selection were very good. We will definitely be back!
Very nice people who take care of their customers.
After 9.5 hour drive with my U-Haul truck from NJ to NC, Mae went the extra mile and helped me out when she didnt even have to. Wonderful woman with a kind heart.
I love shopping local but this place absolutely reeks so bad of incense and was really dark and impossible to find anything everything was a mess as if a hurricane came through.. nothing organized in a lot of stuff not priced everything needs to be completely cleared out and cleaned and organized and better lighting and no incense and I would go back
Very helpful uhaul depot and thrift store. The store has a great selection of items you would expect in a thrift store and more.
I found a toy school bus that I wanted to buy, but the woman up front wouldnt accept any money since I was getting it for children. I offered to make a donation but she wouldnt accept that either. Its not the most organized store, but when they let you name your price its hard to complain.
Honestly didnt go here for thrifting, however I did come across two chairs that I had been looking at on other sites that was in good condition and got a really good price for. The truck rental(which I went for) was a easy process. The newer Ford cargo vans are really good on gas, so I recommend these if your not going far. The owner of this little gem is very nice. I will be visiting her again.
Disgusting. filled with trash and no one wearing a mask. will never be returning
Horrible experience with this company. I have been lied to multiple times, by the owner herself. I would not recommend this company to ANYONE.
This is my kind of place. Be prepared to dig around and get your hands dirty. The woman who checked me out was very sweet and friendly. I will definitely go back.
Ms. Heidi is the sweeeetest most awesome person! Thank you so much for such an awesome experience the world needs more people like them! Thank you to your mom for putting your store together, its exactly what i like to find in a thrift store. Perfect hole in the wall thrifting paridise!
My kind of thrift, not as organized and trafficked as a goodwill, but not as big as a flea market, lots of nooks to seek out finds. No prices marked, but always fair or great prices! Nice people running it as well, would reccomend, defiantly going to frequent it now.
After reading the reviews, and hungry to check out a new thrift store in the area, I took a chance here. This thrift store is not for the faint of heart. Im one who doesnt mind diving into racks to find the good stuff, but for those who complain about having to try something on at Goodwill...I wouldnt recommend. As said in some other reviews, this place is VERY disorganized. Its like going into someones basement where theyve been piling things up for 10+ years. I avoided the piles, and stuck to the racks and shelves, which yielded treasure. While I was shopping though, there was some man yelling at the owner the entire time. I think they knew each other, but it was unnerving nonetheless. Heads up, they have no pricing system, so the owner just throws a price out at you when you get up there. I cant complain though because they do extra discounts for NC State students and I got a bargain for the items I found. Overall, Id say enter at your own risk.
I hadnt been to this store in several months, and when I came back they had completely rearranged things, making it much easier to find stuff--they clearly put a lot of work in! Its definitely still got its fair share of clutter, but the owners are very kind and you can haggle your way into a great deal!
No prices, and things are put in piles. Takes the fun adventure away from thrifting, this place is more like an open air market. Owners place arbitrary prices on things, without understanding what they are. Be ready for an exhausting haggle.EDIT: Owner says lots of people walk in and switch the price. What she means is its easiest to change the price based on the appearance of the customer. This place is a scam.
The best service I ever have I best it the store then I find out the husband and wife they are both of them engineering and they do have moving cleaning and construction company they try to put the best people to work and I used the moving cleaning and painting it was the best service ever had worth every penny I spend and by the way the price was very fare I will definitely use theire service again and I will recommend it to friends and families
I dont understand the negative reviews about this place. Its a thrift store, so yeah its not really organized like The Gap, but I dont mind the hunt! There are no prices which means you ask, and then reach a deal. Thats all part of the fun. The husband and wife owners are very nice and friendly people. I found a great great project piece of furniture here. Ill definitely come back again. Diamond in the rough!
Im sure you can find a real gem here, I even found something I really wanted. However, the place is so cluttered it is hard to find anything or even move. There are no set prices and different workers will tell you different things. There are so many great, cheap Thrift stores around the area that its mostly a waste of time to visit this place.
I love this store. The lady who is always working is very friendly. It has been a mess, but even being the only person there, she has managed to declutter so much. She always gives a fair price. When I go she is usually sitting on the floor working on a project or organizing. Considering the amount of stuff that is donated, its no wonder its taking a bit long to get things organized. I go when I have plenty of time to dig through and find great stuff! Ive found pretty sturdy bags, shoes, energy efficient light bulbs, and plenty of stuff to use as fabrics for projects!
OH MY GOD.. what an amazing and outstanding work. The amount of help and quidiness were unreal. The person that took on our case was May and she was just an unbelievable human being. The best uhual experience I have ever had. The store is wonderful but it is a thrift store not fifth Avenue.
Nasty, stinky, I like to dig through boxes but this was to nasty
I was trying to hire their moving service to help my husband and myself move some of our heavier furniture and the lady on the phone literally yelled at me! She had asked me what size truck we had rented, which I had trouble understanding her because she had a very thick accent and I misunderstood her and thought she was asking what size storage unit we had. When I answered 10x15 instead of just 15ft because I misunderstood her, she began raising her voice telling me trucks arent measured like that (I fully know that...I just couldnt understand what she was saying). Then she asked what size house we were moving into and I replied a 3 bedroom house that is when she began yelling. She just assumed we were trying to put our entire lives into this truck and immediately began yelling at me that the truck was not big enough and that we didnt know what we were doing. If she had given me a chance to explain I wouldve told her that we were only using the truck to move the larger furniture and that is all we needed help moving. I understand where her concern came from but there is a professional way to have any conversation and it does not involve yelling at a potential customer. They will never get business from my family.
Good place to look for second hand stuff
Employers smoking at the door, place was dirty, dingy, and disorganized. No prices on anything, got to the car and realized the item I bought didnt have the cord to it. She said I could go to Walmart and they would charge it for free. Smh...
Very nice friendly people and cheap price
Best people I appreciate your work
This is a for profit thrift store that is super unorganized. You can barely walk through this place. You wont find any hidden treasures at this thrift store, lots of expensive junk.
Nothing has a price on it and its hard to navigate through all the clutter. If you ask a price they seem super annoyed. Wont be back.
Very very nice stuff very cheap the familly own this place very wonderfull too u can find every thing u need and if they do not have it they will get it for u
