My rental was canceled less than 4 hours from when I was supposed to pick up. No explanation given. Call several times to change date or equipment but never received an answer. First time renting with them and am disappointed. Wont have good things to say about their rental department if anyone asks.

On October 17th I paid $50 to Home Depot to repair the pull cord on my Craftsman Leaf vacuum. (Looks like a big walk behind lawnmower.) It worked fine for a few weeks until a recent pull when it didn’t recoil. I returned to the repair and tool rental location on December 28th and was told they would no longer service Craftsman nor would they return my money on the original repair. Spoke to Ulysses, the MOD of the Strickland location, who listened and spent 15+ minutes on the phone to give me an address and phone number of a business that would service the equipment. I called the number and it just rang, driving to the address took me to a mattress store. Home Depot cares little for its customers and I will never shop there again.

The heavy duty drain cleaner was well-maintained and did the job. The staff was helpful and even helped me load the 200 lb. Unit into my truck. I would have given five stars except it only had two of the four cutters it was supposed to have.

Screws kept falling out of the equipment I rented. One srew actually melted off of the jack hammer blade. It wasnt explained to me that I was actually renting 3 pieces of equipment for one machine. With the exception of one younger gentleman, I didnt find the Saturday staff to be particularly knowledgeable or courteous.

They have better or different staff there now and I love their customer service. Best place to rent.

Will not answer phone. They answered one time and put me on hold

They rented me a dangerous ladder. I couldnt use it for the high work on my house. They refused to make an adjustment. Bad attitude and bad products. Lowes is better

Very poor tool rental department, make sure the item works on location before leaving. The store wont reimburse for the rental if you bring it back later.

As a general contractor, home inspector and radon mitigator, I have spent much of my life in this Home Depot since it opened probably about 15 years ago. The hours are 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 8:00 a.m. -8:00 p.m. on Sunday. Some people arent aware that this store is a smaller Home Depot than most of the stores. They do have a tool rental department which is very handy, no pun intended. Also, they have a truck they rent out which can be helpful if you dont have a vehicle appropriate for hauling.I have gone through numerous company changes in how the store has been staffed over the years. Currently, the staff try to be helpful. They are somewhat knowledgeable about the departments they are assigned to, but I would get a 2nd opinion before going out on a limb with the advice they may give.I am routinely in the store at all different hours. Sometimes particularly in the evenings, it is hard to find help. This can be annoying because time is money for me. The self check-out lanes are a great addition. Being a professional, I often over-buy products to make sure I dont run out while working on a project. Therefore, I have lots of returns. Home Depot has a good return policy if you follow the rules. Unfortunately, I have sometimes experienced long waits in the return line which doesnt make me happy.I cant really recommend the Millwork Department (windows and doors, etc.). Millwork is a complicated thing and they usually dont have employees with enough experience to handle millwork. I also cant recommend their installation services for things like cabinets, countertops, flooring and so on. I have been on the back end fixing botched jobs by installers that Home Depot uses. Many people dont realize that the installation for the products they sell is handled by numerous subcontractors that Home Depot hires for these tasks.As a professional, I have other sources for some of the products that I use where I can get better pricing. Yet, because of volume, Home Depot has the best price on some products. Some days you cant beat the convenience of the location and hours no matter the price.
